Korean Journal of Plant Resources, volume 3, issue 2, 1990, Pages 83~89
The underground parts of foso rugoso(Rosaceae) , which have been used as an antidiabetic in the folk medicines of Korea, lowered the blood pressure inthe normal rat . And from the chloroform soluble fraction, euscaphic acid wasisolated with

A Basic Study on Development of Medical Wild Plant Resources in Mt. Wol-chul
Korean Journal of Plant Resources, volume 3, issue 2, 1990, Pages 91~105
The plants medicinal resources of Mt. Wol-chul were investigated 8 times from July, 1988 to July 1990. In orther to analyze the vegetation of Wol-chulmountain area, medical wild plants structure and distribution. Medical wildplants of Wol-chul mourltain consisted of 11'0 familis, 338 species in all. Theresources of important herb drugs were Polypodiaceae, Graminea, Liliaceae ,Polygonaceae, Ranunculaceae, Brassicaceae, Rosaceae, Apiaceae, Labiatae, Com-positae .
한국에 분포하는 한약자원식물의 무기물 함량에 관한 연구 제1 보 ( The Mineral Content of Medical Wild Plant Resources in Korea ( I ) )
Korean Journal of Plant Resources, volume 3, issue 2, 1990, Pages 107~114
In view of the results to have measured metallic elements which is included in 45 sorts of herb medicines and surveyed their distribution, 8 kinds ofmetals including Co, Ge, Ga, TL, Cd, As, 8i, Pb, are never or little includedin almost herb medicines . Other twenty-five sorts of elements (Mo, Sc, Be, V,Ni, Sn, Se, Ba, Cr, Sb, Si, Ti, B, Li, Mg, Ca, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, p, Al, Na,K) are more or Less included in all herb Bedicines ana Na, Ca, p and K aremetals that are included in Large quentities in comrarison with others . Patri-uiae Radix Contains 7 kinds of metal lic elements more than other herb medicinesdoes .

In view of the results to have measured metallic elements which is included in 40 sorts of herb medicines and surveyed their distribution, ninekinds of metals including Co, Ce, Ga, 71, Cd, As, Sbr Bu. Pb, are never orlittle included in almost herb medicines. Other twenty four sorts of ele-ments (Mo, Sc, Be, V, Ni, Su, Se, Ba, Cr, Su, Ti, B, Li, Mg, Ca, Sr, Mnl Fe,Cu, Zn. p, Al, Na, K) are metals that are included in large quentities incomparison with others. Selagirellae Radix contains is kinds of metallicelements more then other herb medicines does. The content of elements ofinorganic metal differs greatly according to the part of herb medicines .
Growth of pollen tube between self pollination and interspecific pollination of Lilium Genus
Korean Journal of Plant Resources, volume 3, issue 2, 1990, Pages 123~128
In every reciprocal crosses of self pollination, interspecific pollination through ordinary stigma pollination of L. longiflorum and
, pollen vigorously germinated in stigma, and pollen tube was growing. But, 5 days after pollination, pollen tube stopping their growth in the same style as was observed in the cross of self pollination and interspecific pollination. Intrastylar pollination of
and L. longiflorum passed stylar cannal through the basal part of styles. But, pollen tube that was growing to the ovule of the ovary was extremely small. In morphogical observation of ovary 10 days after pollination, it was observed, that every reciprocal crosses of L. longiflorum
elegans was fertilized through intrastylar pollination, so that this technique was used to overcome cross incompatibilities.lities.
Current Progress in the Screening for Antitumor Drugs of National Origin
Korean Journal of Plant Resources, volume 3, issue 2, 1990, Pages 129~138
Now, many anticancer drugs are applying in the clinical side, but there is no conclusive effect of such a chemotherapy. Development ofnovel clinical useful anticancer drugs would be dependenton the screen-ing system and its test sample sources. So, it is necessary to outlinesome background on the tumor systems which have been used for screen-ing. This paper describes mainely on National Cancer Institute (NCI)program for anticancer screening systems, because the large number ofcompounds have been screened at NCI prograB and their relationship ofassesment between experimental animals and clinical Patients has beendiscussing and the uniform screefing protocols for various tumorsystens. At the end of this paper, some literatures of antitunor substances from various higher Plants at our laboratory are showed.
