Sliding Mode Controller Design Considering Weight

A conventional sliding mode control approach is often impractical or difficult when it is applied to high order process b because the number of tuning parameters in the sliding mode controller increases with the order of the plant. C Camacho(l996) proposed a design method of a fixed structure sliding mode controller based on a first order plus dead t time approximation to the higher-order process. But, his method has such problems as chattering, over‘shoot, and c command following due to the Taylor the approximation en‘ors for the time delay term of the first order model. In this p paper, a new design technique for a sliding mode controller based on the modified Taylor approximation considered a w weight is developed to improve the Camacho's problems.
Current Regulated Delta Modulator for Series Resonant Inverter with Transformer-Coupled Load

An improved version of current-regulated delta modulator (CRDM) is investigated for the output cunent control of v voltage-source inverters that have transformer-coupled series resonant load and are operated at the resonant frequency. Conventional CRDM has not only CUlTent offset problem but also transformer flux saturation problem when i it is applied to induction heating systems that have transformel-coupled loads. To cope with these problems, the effect of flux saturation is analysed, and simple method to av이d the problem is proposed. And integral type of CRDM is a adopted to remove the cunent offset. The boundaries of integrator gain for stable operation is calculated using the c concept of sliding mode controL The validity of proposed strategy is vel퍼ed through simulations and prototype e experiments.
Design of Fuzzy Logic Controller for an Switched Reluctance Motor Variable Speed Drive

This paper presents the application of fuzzy algorithm for speed control of Switched Reluctance Motor. SRM has a h highly nonlinear control characteristic and operates in saturation to maximize the motor torque. A systematic approach t to the modeling of highly nonlinear SRM drive system which includes the fuzzy controller with coarse control and fine C control is presented. PelfOlmance analysis of SRM dJive is reported for a wide range of operating conditions through s speed variation and load perturbation dynamics. The pelfOlmance indices of SRM drive system operating with fuzzy 1 logic controller are compared with the conventional controller to highlight the merits. The expel1mental results are p presented to confilm the validity of proposed fuzzy 10밍c controller.

This paper deals with the water cooling system of HVDC(High Voltage Direct CUlTentJ. It is generally accepted that water is a veη effective medium to remove heat losses from any type of equipment. Because of this benefits the water cooling method is used in HVDC. The water cooling system consists of a heat exchanger, circulation pump and a connecting pipe. According to thYI1stor temperature level. thyristor junction temperature is controlled by controlling the f fan of exchanger. In this paper. the water cooling system of HVDC system is analyzed and estimated.
The Improvement of Transient State Characteristics with Voltage Type PWM Conbverter Control

The problem of power factor and hmmonics are occurred in convelter system which used to SCRs and diodes as p power semiconductor devices. IGBT power device with selh:ommutation type was solved that problem. maintain the l input line current with sinusoidal wave CUlTent of input power source voltage. It was estimated that improvement of t transient state characteristics with feedfolward compensator added in the diode rectifier with single phase voltage type i inverter was used to simulation load. As a results it was verified that the transient state characteristics with voltage t type PWM convelter control was improved.
Analysis and Control of Instantaneous Voltage Compensator Using New Phase Angle Detection Method Synchronized by Positive Sequence of Unbalanced 3-Phase Source

Unbalanced source voltage in the 3-phase power system is decomposed into positive, negative and zero sequence c components. Also, assuming there is no neutral path in the system, the zero sequence component is not shown on the l load side. Therefore, in the unbalanced power system without neutral path. it is possible to provide balanced voltage to t the load side by compensating negative sequence component and also to regulate the voltage amplitude by controlling t the positive sequence component. In addition, the symmetrical components due to voltage unbalance can be effectively d detected on the synchronous reference frame by using dlongleftarrowq transformation. In this paper, an algorithm not only c compensating unbalanced source voltage by canceling the negative sequence component on the synchronous reference f frame but also maintaining load voltages constantly is proposed. Also a novel method for phase angle detection s synchronized by positive sequence component under unbalanced source voltage is suggested and this detected phase a angle is used for d-q transformation. The performances and characteristics of the proposed compensating system are a analyzed by simulation and verified through experimental results.
A Simplified Digital Frequency/Phase/Voltage Controller for the Traveling Wave Type Ultrasonic Motor Drive System

In this paper, the novel digital frequency/phase controller, to control the invelter fed traveling wave type ultra-sonic m motor(USM) is proposed. This controller is used to control the drive frequency, phase difference and applied voltages of e each phase of the motor. Proposed digital controller has constructed with digital logic only, no more use digitallongleftarrowanalog h hybrid method of the conventional controller, in order to generate drive frequency and phase difference. Therefore, the c control system has become to velY simple structure. T\rvo types of controllers are designed, one is to control drive f frequency and phase difference, another has added voltage control function of each phase. Two full digital voltage/phase c controllers are implemented by using custom LSI and EPLD, the control pelformance and the simplicity ofthe proposed c controller is verified by expeJimental results.
Implementation of Dynamic Resistance Database for Weld Quality Improvement of Inverter Spot Welder

Resistance spot welding is commonly used for welding products of high quality because of clean welding and short w welding-time. But. conventional spot welders bring about the depreciation of welding products, iuespective of dynamic r resistance characteristics during welding time. This paper discussed dynamic resistance database implementation in t terms of welding performance improvement. On different welding conditions, we compared dynamic resistance, r respectively, about pure iron and Sn-Pb alloy on Copper. Also, it investigated the relation of tensile shear strength and d dynamic resistance in welded workpiece.
A New 24-Pulse Diode Rectifier for High Voltage and High Power Application

In this paper, a new 24longleftarrowpulse diode rectifier system based upon the conventional series-connected 12-pulse rectifier is p proposed with the least number of switching devices and low VA rating of the additional passive components. The p proposed approach does not employ any active switching devices. Therefore, the system is rugged and simple to i implement. Detailed analysis with VA rating calculation of the components is presented and experimental results from a a 220V, 3kV A rectifier system verify the proposed concept.
