A Mock Running And Transient State Test of Propulsion VVVF Inverter for Electric Locomotive using A Inertia Load

This paper is on the high perfonnance propulsion IGBT VVVF inverter adopted new technique for railways. To prove the high performance and stabilit~r of traction, running tests are carried out under the simulated condition alike real field. The tests are perfonned on not only a steady states but also a transient states such a as input voltage variation using inertia load equivalent to 160tons train. The vector control technique is a adopted to improve traction for 4 motors. The low switching synchronous PW1\l method based on a space v voltage vector modulation is pro\XlSed as the optimal method for propulsion system railway. The output voltage l is controlled continuously to six step by prolxlsed ovennodu]ation technique without sudden torque variation.
A Development of the High Performance IGBT type Auxiliary Power Supply for Railways.

This paper presents the h밍h performance [GBT type auxiliary jXlWer supply designt.'Cl by new concept. For t the simplification and higher performance, the direct :3 level PWlVl inverter using the high capacity IGBT and t the 32bit DSP are adopted. The cost as well as bulk and weight is appreciably reduced about 40% lower than t those of conventional one. the electrical efficiency above 94~) o and the audible noise level is less than 65dB. In a addition, the TIID(Total lIannonic Distortion) factor is below 5% an이 the voltage fluctuation on a transient s state is below 10%.w 10%.

Passive Power Factor Correnction Circuits for Electronic Ballasts using Voltage-Fed and Current-Fed Reconant Inverters

Several power factor correction(PFC) circuits are presented to achieve high PF electronic ballast for both v voltage-fed and current-f,어 ek'Ctronic ballast. The proposed PFC circuits use valley-fil[(VF) type DClink s stages modified from the conventional VF circuit to adopt the charge pumping method for PFC operations d during the valley intervals. In voltage-fed ballast, charge pump capacitors are connected with the resonant c capaCltor In current-fed type, the charge pump capacitors are connc'Ctc'Cl with the additional second따y-side of t the power transformer. The measured PF is higher than 0.99 and THD is about 10% for all proposed PFC c circuits. The lamp current CF is also acceptable in the proposed circuits. The proposed circuit is suitable for i implementing cost longrightarroweffective electronic ballast.
On-line Techniques of SHE-PWN for Current Source GTO Converter

This paper presents the on -line techniques of SHE-PvVI\I for GTO current source converter. The look-up t table is linearized with this proposed method so that the tum-on/off periods of the GTO switches can be c computed in real-time for any modulation index. This allows the rapid and continuous regulation of the DC O output current while producing the sinusoidal AC input current waveform and unity power factor. The l linearized S}lE-PW~I technique and the high power factor control scheme are Prolxlsed and their‘ performance i is tested analytically. The validity of this proposed technique is well verified through the simulation and e experimental results.

A new integrated single-stage zero current switched(ZCS) quasi resonant convertedQRC) for the IX)wer f factor correction(PFCl converter is introduced in this paper. The power factor correction can be achieved by t the discontinuous conduction mod
(DCM) operation of an input current. The proposed converter has the c characteristics of the good IX)wer factor, 10씨 line current harmonics, and tight output regulation. Furthern10re, t the ringing effect due to the output capacitance of the main switch can be eliminated by use of‘ active clamp c circuit. Therefore, the proIX)sed converter is expecttc'(] to be suitable for a compact power converter with a t tightly regulated output voltage requiring a switching frequency of more than several hundrtc'(]s kHz.
New Double-Connected Multi-Step Inverter for SVC Applications

A new multi-step voltage source inverter is proposed in this paper. The proposed scheme is composed of t the double-connected 12-step inverter with an auxiliary circuit. The auxiliary circuit includes two voltage d dividing capacitors, two switching devices and a low KV A autotransformer. The resultant system is shown to b be a 24-step inverter suitable for medium power level SVC applications in which the PWM method can not be e employed. A 36-step operation can also be 이)tained by the addition of a bidirectional switch to the ProlXlsed I inverter. The design parameters are derived from the analysis of voltages and currents by means of switching f functions. The validity of the proposed scheme is confirmed by the simulated and experimental results.
A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of 2-phase Linear Stepping Motor

In this paper, a vibration suppression method using an energy stored in winding inductance and an induced v voltage of the Linear Stepping Motor(LSM) is shown, and it is applied to a new one-phase excitation method A And a magnetic equivalent circuit is based on the structure of the LSM, and then the electric equivalent circuit of the LSM is derived by solving equations for the magnetic equivalent circuit. Several dynamic characteristics of the LSM are analyzed by the ACSL with the voltage equations, the force equations and the kinetic equation, a and are measured by experimental system.
