A Selection Method of Resonant Inductance for the Traveling Wave Type Ultrasonic Motor drive System using Series Resonant Inverter

To chive a traveling wave type ultrasonic motor with the series""-resonant inverter, the external inductor is i lnserted between the motor and inverter. In
is paper, we proposed a novel 3Ilalysis method to design the 3 ~xternal inductor. An equivalent model of the ultrasonic motor is expressed, and a selection method of the , ;;eries inductor is proposed from the basis of the model. When the series inductor has an optimal value, it is v velified by computer simulation results that power is efficiently transmitted to the mechanical resonant c component in the motor. The frequency and speed characteristics of the ultrasonic motor are investigated by e experiments for several external inductors. The validity of the proposed method for selecting external inductor i is clarified.clarified.
Current Control of a Three-Phase PWM converter Based on a New control Model with a Time Delay and SVPWM Effects

In design of a digital current controller for a 3cP PWM converter, its conventional model is used in obtaining i its discretized version. But, it has errors since the characteristics of SVPWM and time delay are not taken i into consideration. In this paper, the new reference frame model of a 3c~ PWJVI converter is proposed C considering these problems. Also, the direct digital current controller based on this model is designed without a any extra algolithm. A simple tuning algorithm for the proposed current controller is given to compensate the i inductaηce mismatch problem. Then simulation and experimental results show the validity of the algolithm.
A Control Method and Test Results of Utility-Interactive Photovoltaic Power Generation Systems

This paper desclibes a design method and test results of grid-connected photovoltaic power 당eneration s systems, which consists of solar cells, DCI AC inverter, utility grid. A 50 kW photovoltaic power generation s system including a 3-phase DCI AC inverter is designed and made in order to investigate the system l pelionnance for glid connection. Also the control scheme of a three phase cmrent-controlled PWM inverter W with PI controller is presented by using d-q transformation. The experimental waveforms show that the p proposed system has stable behavior with em unit power factor in utility-interactive operation.

A Robust Current Control Technique with a Simple Time Delayed Estimator for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive

A robust current control technique with a simple time delayed estimator for a permanent magnet synchronous m motor (PMSM) drive is presented. Among the various CWTent control schemes for a voltage source inverter-fed P PMSM drive, the predictive control is known to give a superior performance. This control technique, however, r requires the full knowledge of machine parameters and operating conditions, and gives an unsatisfactory r response under the parameter mismatch between the motor and controller. To overcome such a limitation, the d disturbances caused by the parameter valiations will be estimated by using a" time delay contTol approach and u used for the computation of the reference voltages by a simple feedforwal"d control. The proposed control $ scheme is implemented on a PMSM using the software of DSP TlVIS:32OC:30 and the effectiveness is verified d through the comparative simulations and experiments.periments.
Stator Flux-Oriented Control of Induction Motor Considering Iron-Loss

Recently, some works to consider the influences of iron loss have been made in vector control of induction m motor. This paper investigates the effects of iron loss in stator flux-oriented system, and presents the control a algorithm to consider iron loss. The iron loss is modeled by equivalent iron loss resistance in parallel to m magnetizing inductance. The proposed method is verified by simulation and experimental results.
A New DC Ripple-Voltage Suppression Scheme in Three Phase Buck Diode Rectifiers with Unity Power Factor

A technique to suppress the low frequency ripple voltage of the DC output
oltage in three-phase buck d diode rectifiers is presented in this paper. The proposed pulse frequency modulation method is employed to r regulate the output voltage of the buck diode rectifiers and guarantee zero-current switching of the switch over the Vvide load range. The pulse frequency control method used in tIns paper shows generally good p performance such as low THD of the input line current and unity power factor. In addition, the pulse f freιluency method can be effectively used to suppress the low frequency voltage ripple appeared in the dc output voltage. The proposed technique illustrates its validity and effectiveness through the respective s simulations and experiments.
Design of Fast and Overshoot Free Digital Current Controller

From the viewpoint of the cost effective design of power conversion systems, it is very important to fully u utilize the CillTent capacity of power devices over all circumstances. Therefore this paper deals with the l practical design of digital CillTent controller to meet the requirements of fast and overshoot free control r response over the varying control voltage bOlmds, the accompanied computational delay, and the system U W1certainties. The proposed controller consists of high gain PI control schemes using both the conditional i integrator and the modified delay compensator. The simulation and experimental results show the validity of t the proposed controller.
Quasi-Parallel Resonant DC-link Inverter with One Additional Switching Device

A new quasi-parallel resonant DC link inverter is proposed for three phase soft switching application. By i inserting only one additional switch, the proposed inverter excludes both voltage stresses and restricted PWM p problems, which are demerits of the conventional resonant inverter.
