A High Performance Harmonic Mixer Using a plastic packaged device

In this paper, a third-order harmonic mixer is designed using frequency multiplier theory for the Ka-band. The gate bias voltage is selected by frequency multiplier theory to maximize the third-order harmonic element ofthe fundamental LO frequency in the proposed mixer. The designed mixer has a gate mixer structure composed of a gate terminal input for the fundamental local signal (
), RF signal (
) and a drain terminal output for the harmonic frequency (
) respectively. The Ka-band harmonic mixer is designed and fabricated using a commercial GaAs MESFET device with a plastic package. The proposed mixer will provide a solution for the problems found in the high cost, complex circuitry in a conventional Ka-band mixer. The 33.5 GHz harmonic mixer has a -10 dB conversion gain by pumping 11.5 GHz LO with a +5 dBm level.
The Congestion Control using Selective Slope Control under Multiple Time Scale of TCP

In this paper, we extend the multiple time scale control framework to window-based congestion control, in particular, TCP. This is performed by interfacing TCP with a large time scale control module which adjusts the aggressiveness of bandwidth consumption behavior exhibited by TCP as a function of "large time scale" network state. i.e., conformation that exceeds the horizon of the feedback loop as determined by RTT. Performance evaluation of multiple time scale TCP is facilitated by a simulation bench-mark environment which is based on physical modeling of self-similar traffic. If source traffic is not extended exceeding, when RTT is 450ms, in self similar burst environment, performance gain of TCP-SSC is up to 45% for
=1.05. However, its is acquired only 20% performance gain for
=1.95 relatively. Therefore we showed that by TCP-MTS at large time scale into a rate-based feedback congestion control, we are able to improve two times performance significantly.
Improving the Key Search using Parallelism in RFID Privacy Protection

Abstract. In the ubiquitous environment of the next generation, RFID is predicted to occupy an important technical location and also expected to apply to various fields. However, the properties of tags in itself which is the core of RFID have a dysfunction like an invasion of privacy for user. An existing cryptanalytic protection scheme of the information leakage have a difficult problem to apply to RFID tags for privacy protection. We applied Ohkubo et al.'s scheme to the protection of the tag's information efficiently in the RFID system environment using low-cost tags. But, this method has all informations of tagsto identify tag's ID and then performs the process of identification in sequence in the Back-end server. These processes have lots of computations so that it have problems about a scalability. In this paper, we are based on Ohkubo et al.'s scheme to solve problems, and then analyze the parallelism with the Hellman's tradeoff method, divide it into nodesin parallel. seconds from O(mm) seconds. finally we show the results to be enhanced the scalability.
Fish Schooling Behavior Simulator for the Contents Production of Cyber Underwater Environment

Crowd behaviors on cyber underwater environment are often produced in entertainment contents, such as films and games. It is easy for us to come in contact with the scenes appearing a lot of characters as digital films and animation works are increased gradually, owing to developing of computer graphics. Though the processing a scene of crowd and the behavior system of crowd, related to the processing techniques of crowd behavior in cyber space, have been implemented so far, the research for developing the natural crowd behavior simulator can not be still satisfying. In this paper, we designed a realistic and efficient Fish Schooling Behavior Simulator for the contents production of cyber underwater environment, which showed each type of fish behavior in cyber underwater smartly, and which generated the animating the behavior automatically, reducing the time and cost.
A study for the stability of international submarine cables within Korean waters

Submarine cable is the leading means of international communication across oceans. However, when such important submarine cable is damaged, that causes not only huge amount for the repair but also losing the nation's reliability internationally, and has brought about much difficulty and loss due to the interruption of communication. So, in order to deduce methods for the stability of submarine cables, this paper is studying the present status of submarine cables and the causes of cable faults, and suggesting techniques and regulations to protect from the trouble of submarine cables.
Consideration for the Repeaterless Transmission in Long Distance Optical Submarine Cable System

The repeaterless system can be designed by applying EDFA technology in receiver, transmitter and optical cable in the case of connecting several hundred km from coast to coast, between continents or islands. Because of no repeater the repeaterless system do not need power system to feed laser diode in repeater for signal amplification and cooper tuber in submarine cable. So we can be configured more reliable and economical compared to repeater system. But lower loss optical fiber must be used to get enough signal amplitude without the amplification of repeater. This report consider long distance optical repeaterless system by reflecting the limitation factor of optical amplification.

The file sharing method from P2P environments with client/server method to be different price does not use an expensive server from radio environment not to be, uses only the client computers and dispersed the joint ownership and a management of data. Also valence increasing number of days rock operation of the user provides their benefit of etc. their result comes to be high. Like this is caused by with reason and the many people have an interest in P2P, also currently footlights the researches whice use P2P even in the mobile relation field which is receiving actively, is advanced.
A study of the Intelligent Building of communication infrastructure for u-City in Korea

The u-City is next generation IT-City which is to enhance the quality of life and convenience of life base on merger up-to-date communication infrastructure with u-IT services. To realize u-City, intelligent building is built for citizens to make a space of comfortable life. The intelligent building is possible to be constructed by communication infrastructure for various U-services. This paper mentions the ranges of communication infrastructure and shows how to construct it each range through regulation, law and technical. Lastly, the topics are suggested to build successfully u-City constructions in Korea.
Embedded Linux System for Self-Control System of Car

This study provide Car driver with car sensor information which is car trouble code in engine and many sensors. This provide car manager with many information of car sensors when we go to vehicle maintenance. This system consist of embedded linux system which uses RS232 and EML327 for CAN communication of car system. Finally this is a lot of application for embedded linux system which get sensor informations of car control sensor system.
