Efficient Test Techniques for Submarine Cable Repair

Submarine cable is the most important IT infrastructure for international communication across oceans. However, a cable fault rarely happens by ship's anchor, fishing gears, submarine earthquake, and so on, and we need to improve on repair time for the reducing expenses of cable repair ship as well as the stability of high-capacity submarine optical network. There are several kinds of cable faults such as Shunt fault, Cable cut, Open fault and Fiber break. When a fault is occurred, cable landing stations(CLS) have to analysis failure quickly and accurately to find the type and the location of a cable fault. During the repair period, CLS should swiftly perform the tests requested by cable repair ship. In order to make rapid progress on cable repair, CLS test technique is very important. So, in order to reduce the repair time, this paper is studying the CLS test techniques of locating a submarine cable fault and of checking the splicing point performed by cable repair ship.

There are multiple reasons that caused the present serious status of network security, including Internet itself having a weak basis. However security is usually discarded when it contends with performance. As the world becomes more tightly interconnected, security technology continues to mature, organizations are feeling a greater need to rediscover network security. Network security technology generally concentrates on protection of the network infrastructure and, by implication, the protection of the user. This is a paper, describe current problems of network security and propose solutions.

In this research, we proposed a method for high precision measurement than laser displacement measurement. The proposed method finds the causes of error due to change in reflected laser signal level reflected from an object and compensation, and we designed this by applying laser displacement meter.
A Study on the Mobile Context Awareness Algorithms Modeling

In order to realize future ubiquitous, it needs to establish an environment witch service is provided to an user without user's awareness. This study suggests the mobile context awareness algorithm for that. With DB collected using LBS technology, it aims to recognize service status of a terminal and to maximize user's convenience by offering service through continuous inter-operability for various demand and environment of users against the status of a terminal. To realize the algorithm, it adds a terminal status deduction process to MSC. And then, it suggests the algorithm witch determines terminal status depending on status parameter defined by analyzing LBS-based short information by MSC. It realize C code.

It is important matter that inflect well allocated frequency resource in cellular network and is still more serious element in environment that provide multimedia services. This paper describes model and algorithm that increase two elements that is frequency allocation and job scheduling that consider multimedia service traffic special quality by emphasis that do mapping present in CDMA cellular system. We proposed the model cpomposed three parts (channel allocation algorithm, mapping algorithm using genetic algorithm and scheduling algorithm) and simulation results.
