Marine accidents show various causes and effects in Korea where 3 sides of the country are surrounded by the ocean. Every year, 600 to 700 marine accidents occur mostly by small fishing boats. There are repeated accidents which involve crashes of coastal ships with fishing boats, which produce casualties and massive environmental hazard and the need for underwater search for shipwrecks. From the beginning of 21st century, the decrease of large ships with large number of crews led to the emergence of digitalvessels and the digital data storage of the installed equipments on the vessels, marine digital forensic - the extraction and analysis of the stored digital data within digital vessels - became necessary. This article is intended to suggest marine digital forensics as a solution of collecting evidence for discovering the causes, liabilities and compensations of marine accidents.
A study on the Development of Personnel Security Management for Protection against Insider threat

Insider threat is becoming a very serious issue in most organizations and management is responsible for security implementation. This study is to develop a personnel security management indicators in the areas of Personnel Assurance, Personnel Competence, and Security Environment and protection against insider threats. In this study, the information security management system and related papers are examined by reviewing the existing researches and cases. Proposed indicators are verified by pilot test, empirically analyzed to expose experts' perception and the validity, importance, and risk level of each indicators through a questionnaire. Result were encouraging, but additional study focused on personnel security management using factor analysis is needed in the future.

Enhance the Performance of Contents Streaming Services using improve the DRM System

This paper propose a method to enhance the performance of digital contents streaming services with the improve DRM system by maximizing the distribute computing performance and minimizing the overheads of security threatens caused by increasing users and sharing contents in P2P environments. By improving authentication protocols and license protocols to perform decryption and execution simultaneously by only download of the license, streaming services are more enhanced rather than existing DRM systems. For evaluate the performance, this paper compared execution time of existing DRM systems which decrypt the encrypted data file before execute with improved DRM system which execute and decrypt the encrypted data file simultaneously. In experiment, improved DRM system can maintain steady bandwidth and reduce the execution time in compare to existing DRM systems.

The TMO may contain two types of methods, time-triggered methods(also called the spontaneous methods of SpMs) which are clearly separated from the conventional service methods (SvMs). The SpM executions are triggered upon design time whereas the SvM executions are triggered by service request message from clients. In this paper, we describes the application environment as the patient monitor telemedicine system with TMO structure. Vital sign information web viewer systems is also the standard protocol for medical image and transfer. In order to embrace new technologies as telemedicine service, it is important to develope the standard protocol between different systems in the hospital, as well as the communication with external hospital systems.

The Arc Fault Determination Method for the Electric Fire Prevention

The arc-fault occurring in the customer system becomes the direct cause of electric fire. However, it is very difficult to identify the arc-fault using the existing fault detection mechanism because the magnitude of the fault current is very small. Accordingly, this paper analyzes the causes of arc fault and designs the basic detection mechanism of arc fault. And then, it proposes an signal processing-based arc-fault determination methodology which can enhance the of accuracy of the arc-fault determination by applying DFT/DWT to the voltage and current waveform. Finally, this paper showed the application methodology of the proposed signal processing based fault determination method by applying and analyzing DFT/DWT to an high voltage in-rush current waveform.
A Robust Sensorless speed control of Sensorless BLDC Motor

The sensorless speed control technique for BLDC motor using digital IP control is proposed in this paper for advanced speed characteristic which is robust to motor parameters and load variations. The sensorless drive of BLDC motor using terminal voltages is affected by load or speed because it uses analog filters to estimate the rotor position. For this reason, the robust speed controller with the accurate rotor position estimator is needed for sensorless control which is robust to load and insensitive to motor parameters. The constant speed robust to load variation and the stable sensorless control of BLDC motor robust to the increase or decrease of speed with constant load is implemented using digital IP control in this paper. The validity to these is established with experimentation.
The Fault Distance Computation Method for Fault Location Identification of Distribution System

Because the distribution systems experience frequently the fault by several causes, the identification task of fault location plays very important role in the view point of power supply reliability. The distribution systems are designed as radial structure with three-phase and single-phase branch line to supply the electric power to the widely dispersed loads, and it have a several load taps within each line segment. it makes the accurate fault distance determination difficult. Accordingly in this papers, the existing fault point determination methods are surveyed and analyzed, and then a fault distance determination method for distribution feeder is adopted which can be executed effectively in DAS center. Finally, the adopted method is verified using EMTP simulation.
Study on Passive Intermodulation Reduction for High Power RF-Filter

In this paper, the Passive Intermodulation Distortion(PIMD) of high power RF Filter is measured with filter inner coating materials and we suggest how to reduced the PIMD of RF filter coating methods. According to the standard measurement regulation by IEC, the Passive Intermodulation Distortion of Wibro relay high power filter are measured. We suggest the coating materials and coating methods of high power filter inner structure to reduce the PIMD generating by insert loss and worse flatness of filter delay in the design of Wibro high power filter efficiently.
Ultra-broadband Optical Amplifier for WDM Optical Transmission Networks

Affordable traffic capacity of each node in networks is expected to reach in Tb/s range in proportion to the rapid growth of Internet users. To transmit more than Tb/s per fiber pair, WDM should be used as well as existing TDM. To increase the capacity of transmission in WDM networks, there are two ways, increasing channel speed or channel quantity. To increase the channel quantity, there are two ways, narrow spacing or expanding transmission bandwidth. To expand bandwidth, ultra-broadband optical amplifier technology is necessary. In this paper, we introduce EDFA in effect at C/L band, FRA, and some optical amplifiers in effect at S band, and analyze the development trend of various amplification technologies.

A study on Performance Analysis Affecting the Korea Internet eXchange

In this study, the performance analysis was divided into the public sector and private business sector. The four perspectives of the BSC performance analysis for the private business sector can be applied to all of the enterprises as there are Logical Linkages between the four Perspectives. However, these can not be applied in the same way to the public sector. There is no Logical Linkage between public sector and private sectors. Therefore, since there is no Logical Linkage, the KIX project of the public sector has a constrained condition. With the internal and external perspective views, the BSC of the KIX identifies the quality(operation) factor, user(customer) satisfaction factor, and economic costs effects(finance) factor. Based on the linkage model in both the internal and external perspective views and the BSC performance analysis of these views, a performance analysis model was developed and then performance results were analyzed of the whole KIX project.

The next generation Web 2.0 users are requiring a screen that satisfies visual and emotional factors regarding UI and the possibility of constant recognition about various information. To actively deal with these kinds of user demands, dual cooperation between the developer and designer is becoming more urgently needed. For this, Microsoft released Silverlight, a tool for when making a web presentation that enables persons to create a visually stunning webpage using diverse platforms and function. We applied clarity and animation to existing windows concepts, using Silverlight with which designers and developers can work together and is accessable to many development tools, and provided 3D effects to implement a Warehouse Management System.
