A compact Monopole Antenna Design for WLAN/WiMAX Triple Band Operations

In this study, a novel dual band planar monopole antenna for wireless local area network (WLAN)/ Worldwide Interoperability of Microwave Access (WiMAX) application was designed, fabricated, and measured. The proposed antenna consists of two hook shaped strips, an asymmetric ground plane, and a rectangular slit in the ground plane. Acceptable agreements between the measured and simulated results are achieved. Numerical and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed antenna satisfies the 10 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while covering the WLAN and WiMAX bands simultaneously. This paper also presents and discusses the 2D radiation patterns and 3D gains according to the results of the experiment that was conducted.
A Study on the Redundancy Reduction in Speech Recognition

The characteristic features of speech signal do not vary significantly from frame to frame. Therefore, it is advisable to reduce the redundancy involved in the similar feature vectors. The objective of this paper is to search for the optimal condition of minimum redundancy and maximum relevancy of the speech feature vectors in speech recognition. For this purpose, we realize redundancy reduction by way of a vigilance parameter and investigate the resultant effect on the speaker-independent speech recognition of isolated words by using FVQ/HMM. Experimental results showed that the number of feature vectors might be reduced by 30% without deteriorating the speech recognition accuracy.
Design and Implementation of Transformerless 40W LED Light Driver Circuit for Ships

In this paper, driver circuit of LED lights for ships is designed and implemented to replace conventional lights with filament which have short life time due to vibration of ships. The driver of LED module is switching circuit without transformer to reduce volume and cost. As switch circuit controls input 220 VAC with PWM, LED module is reliably driven. Power factor is improved by using valley-fill PFC compensation circuit which is handled to pulse current of switching circuit. Serial-parallel LED circuit is applied to reduce change period of lights of long-term navigation ships. Array of serial-parallel can operate even if some of LEDs is damaged. It is suitable for ships that power consumption and power factor of lights including developed drive circuit have 39Watt and 0.925 respectively.
Performance Evaluation of Network Coding in MANETs for Bidirectional Traffic

Network coding is that the nodes can combine and mix the packets rather than merely forward them. Therefore, network coding is expected to improve throughput and channel efficiency in the wireless network. Relevant researches have been carried out to adapt network coding to wireless multi-hop network. In this paper, we designed the network coding for bidirectional traffic service in routing layer and IP layer of Ad-hoc network. From the simulation result, the traffic load and the end to end distance effect the performance of the network coding. As end to end distance and the traffic load become larger, the gain of network coding become more increased.
Assessment Method of Effective Data for Duplex TPMS Communications

TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) using the wireless communication technique is defined as the safety aid system to efficiently realize and manage the condition of tires in the vehicle. The wireless communication system of TPMS should suffers from various noise and interferences such as signals of each tire sensor or outside electrical equipments. In order to retain the data reliability of TPMS, we propose an assessment method of the data reliability based on signal-to-interference and noise ratio (SINR) of the received signal. The proposed technique can be widely applied to wireless duplex communication systems based on various sensors. We verify critical SINR values to satisfy data reliabilities of 95%, 97%, and 99% through computer simulation.

A Study of Multimedia Exhibition based on Augmented

Along with the development of technology, a variety of multimedia programs are presented in the exhibition. Mixed reality-based technology, such as augmented reality, is also being effectively introduced in the form of an interactive exhibition. In this process, the novelty and the splendor of technology and environment, in the display, can be turned into complex forms, which value is often unappreciated by attenders. The current study realizes the target of display-oriented exhibition environments for augmented reality, and explores the structure of display format, which can minimize the intervention of equipment. The study aims to discuss the structures of multimedia exhibition based on augmented reality and its characteristics.
A study on underwater 3D contents production

Recently, the interest of 3D contents are increased and viewers demand a variety of 3D contents. In such circumstances, underwater 3D contents are an alternative to meet the demands of viewers. Cause that underwater mass density is 1.33 times that in air the objects in underwater is bigger and closer in real. Therefore it needs to modify the distance between cameras, the distance to objects and the convergence value. In this paper, we present the method to set optimal depth values with the particularities of underwater space. In addition, through the case of underwater 3D production we present the method of underwater 3D contents development. We expect that a lot of material with colorful, variety marine organism in underwater will be made of 3D contents.

Smart home System is shirt-sleeve, the automatic control systems, computer network system and network communication technology in the integration of network intelligent home control system. Intelligent household will let users have a more convenient means to management of domestic equipment, for example, through the house, wireless remote control, touch screen phone and Internet or speech recognition control household devices, more can perform scene operation, make more equipment form linkage. In this paper, we propose the intelligent household various kinds of equipment within each other can communication, do not need to user command according to different state interactive operation, thus to bring the greatest degree of user efficient and convenient, comfortable and safe.

In this paper, we propose a new cryptosystem based on the IQC depended on the complexity of class number and intractibility of factoring integer, and introduce two algorithm which reduce encryption and decryption times. To recognize the security of the cryptosystem, we take a simple example to analyze the complexities of public key and secret key and then introduce the operating process of the cryptosystem.

An effort for motion control of multi-axis in robot have been continued recently. In this paper, we propose implementation method for AC servo driver that can be easily motion control of multi-axis in robot. This proposed method implement EtherCAT communication technologies of bi-directional optical communication based on single optical core method that applied WDM for communication between control stage which is upper and AC servo drive stage.
A Study on Fractal Image Coding

In this paper, we propose a fast fractal image coding algorithm to shorten long time to take on fractal image encoding. For its performance evaluation, the algorithm compares with other traditional fractal coding methods. In the traditional fractal image coding methods, an original image is contracted by a factor in order to make the corresponding image to be compared with. Then, the whole area of the contracted image is searched in order to find the fixed point of contractive transformation of the original image corresponding to the contracted image. It needs a lot of searching time on encoding. However, the proposed algorithm considerably reduces encoding time by using scaling method and limited search area method. On comparison of the proposed algorithm with Jacquin's method, the proposed algorithm is dozens of times as fast as that of Jacquin's method on encoding time with a little degradation of the decoded image quality and a little increase of the compression rate. Therefore, it is found that the proposed algorithm largely improves the performance in the aspect of encoding time when compared with other fractal image coding methods.
Analysis of the optimum optical signal power and the longest transmission length in nonlinear optical transmission systems

To design the long-haul optical communication system, we need to decide the type of optical fiber and optical amplifier, span length of optical amplifier, dispersion compensation method, optical signal power, etc. Therefore, we need to predict the performance of optical communication system when we change one of the system parameters. In this paper, we investigate the method of predicting the maximum transmission length of the designed optical communication system and finding the optimum optical signal power to obtain the maximum transmission length.
Design of Spot - Size Converter for optical network

The simplified spot-size convert for optical network has been suggested. We have analyzed the mode field distribution and optimized the spot-size converter using beam propagation method. The designed structure was consisted of straight waveguide and taper waveguide using polymer. The efficiency of the designed spot-size converter was over 99%.
Small Particle Detection System by Optical Scattering Effect

We have designed the small particle detection system. The scatteing effect of light was used to detect small particle. The fabricated system consisted of laser diode, lens, pin hole, and photo detector. The aperture, lens, and photo detector were optimized to improve the performance of detection system. The fabricated detection system detected the scattered light by small particle entering into detection system and its response time was fast.
Design and Development of Strain Measurement System Based on Zigbee Wireless Network

In this paper, a system using vibrating wire sensor and zigbee wireless network has been implemented to monitor and manage the structure. The implemented strain controller drives vibrating wire sensor and computes strain from measuring frequency of the output signal. Temperature sensor is included to compensate strain by temperature. Using two axis acceleration sensor of strain controller can measure the direction of strain or deformation. To measure strain more effectively, wired and wireless communication function is included in this device. As results of experiments, it is shown that the developed system can be effectively applied to measure strain of the structure.
Cloud-based Intelligent Management System for Photovoltaic Power Plants

Recently, the efficient management system for photovoltaic power plants has been required due to the continuously increasing construction of photovoltaic power plants. In this paper, we propose a cloud-based intelligent management system for many photovoltaic power plants. The proposed system stores the measured data of power plants using Hadoop HBase which is a column-oriented database, and processes the calculations of performance, efficiency, and prediction the amount of power generation by parallel processing based on Map-Reduce model. And, Web-based data visualization module allows the administrator to provide information in various forms.

The description of this paper was made putting the emphasis on CIM Interface configuration with a college policy program as the center whether it is suitable or not for a college promotion. CIM Interface technique for a college promotion is an expression method by visual requirements. Alternatives to a college promotion turned up which are depending on Contents, Image, Marketing strategies by visual elements. The application of consumer contents to give users information did the role of a channel inducing the users to join. Besides, an information designing enabled the information structure to be a visual expression by being grafted on content consistency. First above all, the implementation policy of such systematical formation could be found through University Identity Program-IMC useful as a branding strategy of a college promotion. Like this, a methodology which is able to increase the efficiency of college promotion through a process and a connection was established.
A Study on the Characteristics of Management Costs of Apartment Complexes by the Types of Heating Systems

The aim of the study is to estimate the management costs of apartments by the types of heating systems(individual, central, district heating system). Multiple regression analysis was adapted and the used data are derived from 128 apartment complexes in Daegeon-si. The results are as follows; first, the management cost is decreased as a size of apartment is larger, second, the costs of general maintenance, security and repairing of buildings are lower in individual heating system. however, there is no significant differences in cleaning costs by the types of heating systems.

In the situation where the number of anguished people are increasing recently related to the remained lot purchase, there occurs the need for the specification of the 'regulation on the remained lot's purchase'. The remained lot is the remained land that is left after the allocation to the public business, and is compensated for its loss by the business implementor through the 'remained lot purchase request' by the people accommodated. This thesis presents issues based on the case studies on the remained lots that was accommodated and adjudicated in the local autonomous entity, and has the objective of implementing the protection of rights and effective compensation administration through the just compensation of the loss to the people who are accommodated.

Study of Relocation of military troops and local residents for satisfaction (○○ regions, South Jeolla Province, soldiers and local residents, mainly)

When the military before this study, soldiers and local people are dissatisfied with the elements, which satisfy the element that satisfies both parties to find out what could be the previous business that tries to propose measures to the Department of Defense. The results are as follows. First units on the previous business for the difference between soldiers and residents' satisfaction is as follows. Soldiers (3.75), the accountability (4.11) and effort, while important castle residents (3.33) the adequacy (3.64) and communication is of paramount importance in the satisfaction level of availability to be analyzed. Second, the relocation of troops on the Male and Female satisfaction on the differences are as follows. For men, military men (3.73) and accountability efforts, residents (3.40) the adequacy and availability critical deadlines while communicating the case of a woman soldier woman (3.85) the adequacy and close human relationship, social security (3.30) interest on the accountability and communication many to be analyzed. Third Position: Occupational differences in satisfaction are as follows: If a soldier's professionalism and accountability, and conflict from the outset of the adequacy of the officers, while the lowest was from the outset. If the efforts of residents and farmers who emphasize the responsibility and the least amount of conflict, while owners and tenants, operating the adequacy that were relatively important.
A Study on the Relation of the Service Factor of Appraisal Business and Customer Satisfaction

The future of appraisal industry looks negative in the reality of change of the property market and over-competition of the field. Unless Constituent members of appraisal industry cope actively with the changing circumstances the profit structure of their company will get worse and they will finally fall behind in the competition. The best policy to survive from the changing circumstances in the limited appraisal market is to provide better service and improve its structure in order to have differential competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to describe the relation between the service factors of appraisal industry and customer satisfaction for providing more effective and high quality appraisal service.
A Road Map for Developing a Stock Trading Model

In order to construct a profitable stock trading model, three considerations must be resolved in the model in integrated manner: profit principle, trader's conditions and stock market trends. Generally, a model will be developed through long experiences of stock trading that requires quite amount of expenses and time. This paper analyzes the issues involved in those considerations and proposes a road map for a trading model.
Implementation of a Black-Box Program Monitoring Abnormal Body Reactions

A black-box program was implemented in order to monitor abnormal symptoms of human body irregularly occurring during sleep. The system consists of sensor probing body signals, auxiliary devices such as the alarm, lamp, network camera, and signal monitoring computer. Various types of sensors, PPG, ECG, EEG, temperature, respiration sensor, G-sensor, and microphone were used to more exactly identify the causes of abnormal symptoms. If a symptom occurs, the system records the patient's condition to provide information being utilized in the treatment. The sensors are attached on some locations of body being proper to check a specific type of abnormal reaction. Based on the normal range and type of measurement data, criteria of signal levels were set to distinguish abnormal reaction. An abnormal signal being probed, the program starts to operate the lamp, alarm, and network camera at the same time and stores the signal and video data.
The Relationship between Existence of Spouses and Obesity for Korean Adults

The population with massive waist circumference is increasing in comparison with that with obesity in entire bodies in Korea. It is assumed that prevalence of obesity is closely related with changes in marriage status such as divorce or separation by death, and age, educational background, diet habits and living environment depending on presence or absence of spouses. To identify whether there are relations between spouse, BMI and waist circumference under the conditions such as life cycle age, educational level, income, smoking, drinking and walking controlled, this study used data of national health and nutrition research organized by Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The subjects of the study were a total of 7,178: 3,043 men and 4,135 women whose ages were above 19 and married. As a result of controlling independent variables except a factor of spouse, there were no statistically significant relations between presence of spouse, waist circumference and BMI in men, but odds rate of waist circumference was lower, 0.78(95% CI 0.636-0.954) when the female subjects had no spouse than when they had spouse.
Information related to Colorectal cancer screening health checkup

Colorectal cancer screening in adults aged 40 and over our country and understand the relationship between health behaviors and those affecting the implementation of a colorectal cancer screening was conducted to determine the parameters. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey tool 4th secondary data were used. The main variable levels of public health, health-related awareness and behavior, food and nutritional status were surveyed about 12,528. Colorectal Cancer Screening adults aged 40 and over who target male and female study subjects were 4703. Compliance findings that are relevant to colorectal cancer screening variables include gender, age, residence, or taking supplements, Health Screening, whether history, such as cancer, respectively. Marital status, education level, household monthly gross income, private insurance, whether regular exercise was not associated with the. In order to increase colorectal cancer screening among the expanding free cancer screening and cancer screening performed a systematic test of the simple and effective education and publicity will be carried out.
