Evaluation of a signal segregation by FDBM

Various approaches for sound source segregation have been proposed. Among these approaches, frequency domain binaural model(FDBM) has the advantages of low computational load and effective howling cancellation. A binaural hearing assistance system based on FDBM has been proposed. This system can enhance desired signal based on the directivity information. Although FDBM has been evaluated in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and coherence function, the evaluation results do not always agree with the human impressions. These evaluation methods provide physical measures, and do not take account of perceptual aspect of human being. Considering a binaural hearing assistance system as a one of major applications, the quality of segregated sound should keep level enough. In the paper, signal segregation performance by means of FDBM is evaluated by three objective methods, i.e., SNR, coherence and Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality(PESQ), to discuss the characteristic of FDBM on the sound source segregation performance. The simulation's evaluation results show that FDBM improves the quality of the left and right channel signals to an equivalent level. And the results suggest the possibility that PESQ provides a more useful measure than SNR and coherence in terms of the segregation performance of FDBM. The evaluation results by PESQ show the effects from segregation parameters and indicate appropriate parameters under the conditions. In a warehouse, because there exist frequent changes of stock status and the quality of some contents are influenced by the environment such as temperature, fast and accurate management of the warehouse's environment is very important for Warehouse Management Systems. However, due to the absence of a unified standard for the communication protocol between RFID nodes and centralized MAC schemes for RFID communications in previous studies have severe problems. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a WiMedia MAC based RFID cooperative relay transmission scheme for warehouse management system applications.

As the broadband network are being deployed recently, the IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) has appeared and become a most representative service that incorporates audio, video, etc. In spite of the long-period efforts, however, no standardized method exists to measure and evaluate the quality of video that is experienced through TV in the customer's premises. Therefore, before developing a method to measure and evaluate the quality of experience (QoE) for video that is the ultimate goal, this paper reviews the outcomes from the past standardization activities and drive a few important implications that would be reflected to the method to measure and evaluate QoE for video.
Determinants of Health among Korean Adolescents

This study tried to explore the determinants of health of the youth in Korea. Especially, it explored how the socio demographic characteristics and delinquent behaviors factors of the Korean youth affect their health. This study used the 2009 Korean Youth Health Risk Behavior On-line Survey for this purpose. It selected 35,668 cases of senior high school students from the raw data and conducted a secondary data analysis. This study conducted frequency analysis, t-test, F-test, and regression analysis. Gender, living with parents, economic status, school type, academic record, internet addiction, problem drinking, drug use were significantly determinants of the health of the youth. Findings may be used for improving health of the Korean youth.
A Study on Policy for the Introduction of Terrestrial Multi-Channel Service

Since domestic terrestrial DTV transition introduces the need for a multi-channel service as raised again to multi-channel service is being promoted. Current terrestrial broadcasters to realize multi-channel services are provided jointly countermeasures. Multi-channel services also active in policy-making of Korea Communications Commission. Therefore, in this article, terrestrial technical issues that arise in multi-channel services and services for the implementation of policy measures were proposed. Therefore, in this article terrestrial technical issues that arise in multi-channel services and services for the implementation of policy measures by looking at the future terrestrial multi-channel service to pursue the direction and policies of regulatory agencies aims to help.
The Recognition and Distance Estimation of a Golf Ball using a WebCam

A golf ball collecting robot in a golf ball driving range has been recently required because it is safer and more economic than a human being. In this paper, the golf ball recognition and distance estimation system based on a neural network and OpenCV is developed for the robot. The simulation results show that the recognition ratio is over 87% for the distance of less than 120cm and accurate rate for distance estimation is over 85% for golf balls in 30-180cm from a webcam.
A Study on Constructing of Security Monitoring Schema based on Darknet Traffic

In this paper, the plans for improvement of real-time security monitoring accuracy and expansion of control region were investigated through comprehensive and systematic collection and analysis of the anomalous activities that inflow and outflow in the network on a large scale in order to overcome the existing security monitoring system based on stylized detection patterns which could correspond to only very limited cyber attacks. This study established an anomaly observation system to collect, store and analyze a diverse infringement threat information flowing into the darknet network, and presented the information classification system of cyber threats, unknown anomalies and high-risk anomalous activities through the statistics based trend analysis of hacking. If this security monitoring system utilizing darknet traffic as presented in the study is applied, it was indicated that detection of all infringement threats was increased by 12.6 percent compared with conventional case and 120 kinds of new type and varietal attacks that could not be detected in the past were detected.

DOS attack, the short of Denial of Service attack is an internet intrusion technique which harasses service availability of legitimate users. To respond the DDoS attack, a lot of methods focusing attack source, target and intermediate network, have been proposed, but there have not been a clear solution. In this paper, we purpose the prevention of malicious activity and early detection of DDoS attack by detecting and removing the activity of botnets, or other malicious codes. For the purpose, the proposed method monitors the network traffic, especially DSN traffic, which is originated from botnets or malicious codes.

In 21 century, it is difficult to define the limit of home automation, Recently, based on the advanced digital communication technology and necessity, The scope of the home automation has widened to home energy management, integrated reading of home and home health care etc. beyond the existing home automation. However, those methodologies reduce the efficiency and economy, and make it harder to realize a compact home automation because those methodologies are proposed independently without a unified standard. Therefore, this paper investigates and analyzes these methodologies, and then proposes an advanced home automation system that enables a compact design and improves the efficiency and economics of the home automation system based on the analyzed result.
Sensorless Speed Control of IPMSM Using Unscented Kalman Filter

In this paper, a design method of speed and position estimator based on unscented Kalman filter is proposed for the no sensor control of IPMSM(Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor). The proposed method is simple more than the estimator designed with rotation axis for current measurement. Also the proposed state estimator is designed including nonlinear terms of the estimator. The controller which constructed using nonlinear back-stepping control method is operated speed and current control using the estimated speed and currents information. Through simulation, the performance of the designed estimator is compared to the estimator which is designed to synchronize d-q axis.
Implementation of User Interface for DNA Micro Array Printing Technology

Micro-array technology contributes numerous achievements such as ordering of gene network and integration of genomic. This technology is well established as means for investigating patterns of gene expression. DNA micro-arrays utilize Affymetric chips where a large quantity of DNA sequences may be synthesized. There are two general type of conventional DNA array spotter: contact and piezoelectric. The contact technology used spotting pin technology to make contact with the glass slide surface. This may caused damage or scratches to the surface matrix where protein will be contaminated and may not bind specifically. Piezoelectric technology available at this present time on the other hand requires the analyzer to print the result that can only be done within the laboratory despite of mass production. Therefore, in this paper, high-throughput technology is developed for providing greater consistency in feature spot without touching the glass slide surface.
A TOA Shortest Distance Algorithm for Estimating Mobile Location

Location detection technology (LDT) is one of the core techniques for location based service (LBS) in wireless communication for improving resource management and quality of services. The location of a mobile station (MS) is estimated using the time of arrival (TOA) technique based on three circles with centers corresponding to coordinates of three base stations (BSs) and radius corresponding to distances between MS and BSs. For accurately estimating the location of MS, three circles should meet at a point for the trilateration method, but they generally do not meet a point because the radius is increased depending on the number of time delay for estimating the distance between MS and BS and the carrier frequency. The increased three circles intersect at six points and the three intersection points among them should be generally placed close to coordinate of the location for the specific MS. In this paper, we propose the shortest distance algorithm for TOA trilateration method, to select three interior intersection points from entire six points. The proposed approach selects three intersection points with the shortest distances between coordinates of MS and intersection points and determines the averaged coordinate of the selected three points, as the location of the specific MS. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm using a typical computer simulation example.
Anti-Collision Algorithm for High-Speed Tags in Active RFID System

In RFID System, one of the problem that we must slove is to devise a good anti-collision algorithms to improve the efficiency of tag identification which is usually low because of tag collision. Among of the existing RFID anti-collision algorithm, BS (Binary Search) algorithm, though simple, has a disadvantage that the stage 0f times used to identify the tags increase exponentially as the number of tags does. In this Paper, I propose a new anti-collision algorithm called Multi-collision reflected frame which restricts the number of stages and decided bit. Since the proposal algorithm keep the length size of UID and density of total tag when have 100%.
An Allocation of Safety Integrity Level to Inductive Loop type Train Control System

This paper demonstrates the result of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) allocation for IL-type Train Control System(IL-TCS), by applying the semi-quantitative approach. IL-type TCS is defined in this paper as the set of Hardware and Software ATS equipment, Track-side ATP equipment, On-board ATP equipment, Track-side ATO equipment, On-board ATO equipment. SIL allocation is performed for these constituent subsystems of TCS. Based on three principles of the semi-quantitative method, the SIL allocation process is performed for the subsystems composing TCS.
A Collaborative URL Tagging Scheme using Browser Bookmark Categories as Keyword Support for Webpage Sharing

One significant challenge that arises in social tagging systems is the rapid increase in the number and diversity of the tags. As opposed to structured annotation systems, tags provide users an unstructured, open-ended mechanism to annotate and organize web-content. In this paper, we propose a scheme for URL recommendation that is based on a folksonomy which is comprised of user-defined tags, URL-keywords and the category folder name as the major element. This scheme will be further improved and implemented on a browser extension that recommends to users the best way to classify a particular URL.
A Development of Urban Farm Management System based on USN

The objective of this study is developing urban farm management system based on USN for remote monitoring and control. This system makes it easy to manage urban farm and make the database of collected information for to build the best environment for growing crops. For this, we build a green house and installed several types of sensors and camera through which the remote sensing information collected. In addition, building a web page for user convenience and information in real time to enable control. We confirmed experimentally all functions related to stability for a long period of time through field tests such as collection and transfer of information, environmental control in green house. It will be convenient for farmers to grow crops by providing the time and space constraints and a lot of flexibility. In addition, factory, office, home like environment, including facilities for it will be possible to extend.
A Distortion Correction Method of Wide-Angle Camera Images through the Estimation and Validation of a Camera Model

In order to solve the problem of severely distorted images from a wide-angle camera, we propose a calibration method which corrects a radial distortion in wide-angle images by estimation and validation of camera model. First, we estimate a camera model consisting of intrinsic and extrinsic parameters from calibration patterns, where intrinsic parameters are the focal length, the principal point and so on, and extrinsic parameters are the relative position and orientation of calibration pattern from a camera. Next we validate the estimated camera model by re-extracting corner points by inversing the model to images. Finally we correct the distortion of the image using the validated camera model. We confirm that the proposed method can correct the distortion more than 80% by the calibration experiments using the lattice shaped pattern images captured from a general web camera and a wide-angle camera.

Recently, due to improvement of computer performance and development of information devices, technology of mobile augmented reality is proliferating rapidly. However, because most of contents are passive or limitary, user can not feel interest and immersion. This paper designs interaction user interface system of 2 dimensional drawing based on mobile augmented reality to make bi-directional communication between the real world and the virtual world possible by using the vision based augmented reality and the database system.
Relation of Health Promotion Behaviors and Metabolic Syndrome in Daytime Workers

This study aims discover the relations between health promotion behaviors and metabolic syndrome in daytime workers, in order to present importance for health promotion behaviors of patients with metabolic syndrome. Based on Year 1 data of the 5th Korean National Health Nutrition Examination Survey, emrolled were 1,034 daytime workers. This study discovered that the prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome of the Korean daytime workers was significantly higher as they got older, they had less education level and smoking more, increasing number of health promotion practice behavior were decrease the metabolic syndrome prevalence. Effective appropriate lifestyle intervention were considered to management and prevention of daytime workers with the metabolic syndrome for low-cost and efficiently.
The Effect of Needle Electrode Electrical Stimulation Following Global Ischemia on the Suppression of Apoptosis in the Cerebellum

This study conducted observation of tissues using the immunohistochemistry methods in order to see the effect of Needle Electrode Electrical Stimulation(: NEES) on apoptosis in the SD rat cerebellum caused by global ischemia which came from common carotid artery occlusion. The comparison and analysis results of expression of factors related to apoptosis among the control group, the global ischemia group and the NEES group showed that NEES following global ischemia had a significant effect on the reduction of c-fos expression in the SD rat cerebellum, and didn't have a significant effect on the reduction of bax and caspase-3 expression. In conclusion, it is considered that NEES following global ischemia is partially effective in suppressing the expression of factors related to apoptosis.
A Study on Practice of Protective Actions for Medical Information - A comparison between hospital administrators and occupational therapists -

Attempts were made in this paper to compare the practice of protective actions for information of patients' medical treatment between hospital administrators who do not make direct contact with patients and occupational therapists who usually do. The comparison between jobs in charge showed that occupational therapists did not practice much protective actions for information of patients' medical treatment (
) compared to hospital administrators (
), even though the former had received regular education about protection, management and supervision of patients' medical information more often (
) than the latter (
). In spite of the fact that occupational therapists were exposed frequently to the danger of revealing medical information in the process of their job performance through talks and communications with patients, they displayed relatively little concern for and awareness of keeping information of medical treatment from being leaked by them. It is thus suggested to promote awareness of medical staff to protect medical information by means of flexible educational system for each occupational group, periodical monitoring, continuing public relation, training and quality control for protection of medical information, as well as routine self-examination of such practice.
A Study on Relationship between Halitosis Causing Factors and Components

The aim was to be utilized as basic data in arranging efficient plan for removing halitosis by surveying correlation with halitosis components by each factor after measuring halitosis and analyzing components by subject of adults on halitosis. It targeted totally 160 people by 80 outpatients of 1 dental hospital, respectively, where is located in Daejeon and Chungnam, for 12 months from February 1, 2011 to January 30, 2012. As a result of analysis, in the halitosis measurement value of Oral chroma, it was shown to be 9.4% in case of being more than 112ppb in the measurement value of hydrogen sulfide, 20.6% in case of being more than 26ppb in the measurement value of methyl mercaptan, and 44.0% in case of being more than 8ppb in the measurement value of dimethyl sulfide, which was indicated to be the highest value among three components. Only the methyl mercaptan component and the dimethyl sulfide component, which were measured with oral chroma, stood at 0.578, thereby having been shown to have high positive correlation. Accordingly, a multilateral research is considered to be likely necessity as for diverse components of causing halitosis.
Dysfunction of Digital Leisure of ICT Age and Educational Measurement

As digital leisure's activity increase recently, the worry for side effect except right function occurs with reality. In this paper, the importance of leisure, participation effect when someone has a chance to leisure is reviewed. The dysfunction of digital leisure that focuses on usage of the digital device in information society is examined. In order to solve those dysfunction, the measure is presented through education and convergence.
