Enhancement of the k-Means Clustering Speed by Emulation of Birds' Motion in Flock

In an effort to improve the convergence speed in k-means clustering, we introduce the notion of the birds' movement in a flock. Their motion is characterized by the observation that each bird runs after his nearest neighbor. We utilize this feature in clustering procedure. Once the class of a vector is determined, then a number of vectors in the vicinity of it are assigned to the same class. Experiments have shown that the required number of iterations for termination is significantly lower in the proposed method than in the conventional one. Furthermore, the time of calculation per iteration is more than 5% shorter in the proposed case. The quality of the clustering, as determined from the total accumulated distance between the vector and its centroid vector, was found to be practically the same. It might be phrased that we may acquire practically the same clustering result with shorter computational time.
A Low Power Algorithm using State Transition Ready Method

In this paper, we proposed a low power algorithm using state transition ready method. The proposed algorithm defined a sleep state, a idle state and a run state for the task. A state transition occurring at the time due to the delay time created in order to reduce the power consumption state in the middle of each inserted into the ready state. The ready state considering a power consumption and a delay time in state transition. A scheduling step of performing the steps in excess of the increasing problems have the delay time is long. The power consumption increased for the operation step increase. A state transition from a sleep state with the longest delay time in operating state occurs when the state is switched by the time delay caused by the increase in operating time reduces the overall power consumption reduced. Experiments  were compared with the results of the power consumption. The experimental results  is reduced power consumption than the efficiency of the algorithm has been demonstrated.
Real-time Flame Detection Using Colour and Dynamic Features of Flame Based on FFmpeg

In this paper, we propose a system which can detect the flame in real time from the high-quality IP camera. First, open directly the RTSP streams transmitted from the IP camera using the library FFmpeg as opening a video file. The second thing is to extract the background images from video signal using Gaussian mixture model. Then the foreground images are obtained through subtracting operation between the input image and the background image. Separated foreground image through a mathematical morphology operation are considered as candidate area. By analysing colour information and dynamic characteristics of the candidate area, flame is determined finally. Through the experiments with input videos from IP camera, the proposed algorithms were useful to detect flames.
Study on Efficient Adaptive Controller for Attenuation of Engine Noises in a Car

In this paper, a new active noise control method was proposed to decrease a weight of car, and to increase a fuel efficiency and to provide passengers' comfort and calmness, instead of a passive noise control method such as sound absorbing and insulating materials. The proposed method is an enhanced active noise controller operating by a bidirectional control algorithm. The algorithm is simple to implement and available to analyze mathematically with nearly equivalent complexity of computation. Through simulations for engine noises of a car, the proposed controller was verified that its performances of time and frequency domain were superior to those of both feedforward and feedback controllers, and it had better capability of controlling the noises when the impulsive disturbance was flow in and the response of secondary path was varied.

Embedded System operates hardware installed like processor, memory device, various input/output devices and software to control them. This thesis presents MPU module and Base board which are efficient industrial control through design and manufacture as developing S5PV210 CPU of SAMSUNG used by ARM Cortex-A8 based on Android which is Open mobile platform is installed to embedded system. Data for temperature and humidity which are received by CAN communication module proved the suitability and validity for the embedded platform design as implementing application program employed the native App with Linux Kernel based on the Android OS and application of HTML5.
Intelligent Self Learning System for Keyboard Instrument using a Smartphone

This intelligent keyboard instrument self learning system developed in this study consists of smartphone based learning application and keyboard-instrument auxiliary module. The keyboard instrument auxiliary module receives playing information of the instrument through smartphone application and bluetooth communication. Then the module shows it through LED display so that the relationship between the keyboard and scale could be easily recognized even for beginners. Also, this system provides saving function and analyzing function of user's performance data, making learning more effective.
A Curriculum to Improve the Lecture of Database SQL

This paper researched to improve the educational achievements in Database SQL education. In practice, it is not possible to taste all the cases required at database field within the given class times. Therefore we analyzed out the key issues that students must learn for database education, and provided SQL patterns matching to the issues. To validate the effectiveness of this approach, we programmed practical requirements with those SQL patterns under a hypothetical database.

Because of the proliferation of web services through web site, web hacking attempts are increasing using vulnerabilities of the web application. In order to improve the security of web applications, we have to find vulnerabilities in web applications and then have to remove. This paper addresses a vulnerability in a web application on existing problems and analyze and propose solutions to the vulnerability. This paper have checked the stability of existing web security solutions and evaluated its suitability through analysis of vulnerability. Also, we have implemented the vulnerability analysis tools for web Proxy system and proposed methods to optimize for resolution of web vulnerabilities.

Recently, the studies of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) has been studied a variety from military aircraft to civilian aircraft and for general hobby activity aircraft. In particular, for small unmanned aircraft research for the ease of turning and hovering and Vertical-Off Take Landing(VTOL), have been studied mainly quadrotor unmanned aircraft is a type suitable for this study of small unmanned aircraft. The studies of these unmanned aircraft is the kinetic analysis requires complex processes, because these support by the aerodynamic forces on the unmanned aircraft study, and the controller design based on these dynamical analysis and experimental model analysis. In this paper, after the implementation of the basic attitude control based on a general PID controller, we propose concept design of the attitude control method on quadrotor attitude control by using the reinforcement learning algorithm of neural networks for non-linear elements not considered in the controller design.
0.11μm CMOS Low Power Broadband LNA design for 3G/4G LTE Environment

We present the Low Power Broadband Low noise amplifier(LNA) that can be applied a whole bandwidth from 3G to 4G LTE. This multi input LNA was designed to steadily amplify through a multi input method regardless the size of the input signal and operate on a wide range of frequency band from a standard 3G CDMA band 1.2GHz to LTE band 2.5GHz. The designed LNA consumes an average of 6mA on a 1.2V power supply and this was affirmed using computer simulation tests. The amplification which was corresponded to the lowest input signal is at a maximum of 20dB and was able to obtain the minimum value of the gain of -10dB. The Noise figure is less than 3dB at a High-gain mode and is less than 15dB at a Low-gain mode.
Height Estimation of pedestrian based on image

Object recognition is one of the key technologies of the monitoring system for the prevention of various intelligent crimes. The height is one of the physical information of a person, and it may be important information for identification of the person. In this paper, a method which can detect pedestrians from CCTV images and estimate the height of the detected objects, is proposed. In this method, GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) method was used to separate the moving object from the background and the pedestrian was detected using the conditions such as the width-height ratio and the size of the candidate objects. The proposed method was applied to the CCTV video, and the height of the pedestrian at far-distance, middle- distance, near-distance was estimated for the same person, and the accuracy was evaluated. Experimental results showed that the proposed method can estimate the height of the pedestrian as the accuracy of 97% for the short-range, 98% for the medium-range, and more than 97% for the far-range. The image sizes for the same pedestrian are different as the position of him in the image, it is shown that the proposed algorithm can estimate the height of pedestrian for various position effectively.

In this paper, we design and implement a digital LCD stopwatch function of the remote control. The central controller and LCD stopwatch is implemented based on the clock signal of the crystal oscillator of 8MHz by using ATmega8 processor in the AVR representative series of ATMEL, Communication module basic, ZBS-using the ISM 2.4GHz frequency band at 100. Stopwatch of remote control that has been proposed, it is possible to solve the three problems. First, it is possible to solve the sight deviation between broadcast camera and panelists glance to large LCD stopwatch monitors. Second, it is possible to avoid the trouble of broadcasting cameras cross replacement, Third, it is possible to minimize the inconvenient of the viewer corresponding to the operation of the horizontal movement of the broadcast camera.
Implementation of Mobile Social Network System for Shared Contents of Public Service

Social Network Services are widely used by mass population and it is used as an important communications tool because it allows distribution of diverse and abundant amount of information. This thesis proposes to add a new valuable service function in social network for mobile-based civil complaint management. Therefore, we will develop a social network application for civil affair services that allows immediate civil compliant management while being able to share the contents related to civil affairs with other people. As a result of the experiment, the effect and efficiency of the method proposed in this thesis for social network-based civil affair services was proven. Hence, the social network for mobile-based civil affair services always provides new and improved service components. Moreover, discussing civil complaints in a social network point of view, we can expect high ripple effect and encourage more participation of public users dealing with civil affairs.
Measurement of Radio Characteristics of Vehicular Communication Environments in Urban Areas and Implementation Issues

Vehicular communications can be applied for transmission of various safety messages or Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) applications by combining vehicle/road technology with Information and Communication Technology(ICT). In this paper, we represent measurement results of radio characteristics of vehicular communications using IEEE 802.11p based system in urban environments. Radio characteristics are based on the packet error rate (PER) and received spectrum mask. Using measurement results, we discuss implementation issues of vehicular communication systems for supporting reliable services.
A Study of TV Video Quality Assesment for the Adaption of Terrestrial Multi Mode Service

Currently, The terrestrial MMS(Multi Mode Service) is considering to be adapted in the Korea. The objective and subjective video quality test was carried out to verify the current TV channel's video quality degradation by the MMS. In the objective assessment, MMS system showed better PSNR than current system. In the subjective assesment result, It's hard to find the perceive video quality degradation at overall assesment. Even though, The MMS's video quality will be improved at the documentary and entertainment genre. Comparing with the previous research at 2006 and 2008, It's the time to give the benefit of broadcasting technology to the people.
