Player Adaptive GMM-based Dynamic Game Level Design

In computer games, the level design and balance of characters are the key features for developing interesting games. Level designers make decision to change the parameters and opponent behaviors in order to avoid the player getting extremely frustrated with the improper level. Generally, opponent behavior is defined by static script, this causes the games to have static difficulty level and static environment. Therefore, it is difficult to keep track of the user playing interest, because a player can easily adapt to changeless repetition. In this paper, we propose a dynamic scripting method that able to maintain the level designers' intention where user enjoys the game by adjusting the opponent behavior while playing the game. The player's countermeasure pattern for dynamic level design is modeled using a Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM). The proposed method is applied to a shooting game, and the experimental results maintain the degree of interest intended by the level designer.
A Case Study on the Development for P2P Network Connection Module by using Virtools Engine

It is necessary that the developer has advanced programming skill for development of network or online game. It takes a lot of time and effort to learn the professional knowledge and program for network communication. We show the case analysis for development for network or online game by developing P2P connection module based on the Virtools engine. It should profitable to reduce the development time and cost.
Design and Implementation of Mobile 3D Bluetooth Engine based on OpenGL-ES

This study focused on design and implementation of Mobile 3D Bluetooth Engine based on OpenGL-ES. In Mobile 3D network game so far, there is a form the mainstream of wireless internet game using WAP and VM. But, VM game are popular because of an excessive communication expense problem for this mobile network game that occur when connect to wireless internet as point out to problem by it, that is, stand-alone game are very popular. This study introduce a mobile 3D Bluetooth Engine which is based on mobile 3D standard using OpenGL-ES to solve a mobile network game generally that occurs when connect to take pleasure a wireless internet from some people into a short distance.
Direct3D Interface Module Development for Python Language

This paper describes the implementation of Direct3D interface library for Python language. DirectX is the most popular library used for 3D games and 3D modelings. However, softwares which use the library can only be developed in the environments provided by Microsoft like Visual Studios and .NET framework. The interface module for Python, this paper presents, will extend the coverage of the useful library DirectX to a language which is not fully supported by Microsoft. The interface techniques described here can be a guide to develop interface modules for other languages too, which make their language more powerful and extensible. This paper describes the implementation techniques to develop the interface module for Python, advantages and disadvantages.
