Integration of pare libraries using the upper ontology method

Ontology-based approaches for automated information integration are being widely investigated. The existing approaches explicitly represent the semantics of information sources in ontologies and let the computer system, through aligning or merging the source ontologies, provide a global view of information sources. The problem of aligning or merging different ontologies is a well known problem, and the inter-ontology mappings play an essential role in information integration. To enable simple and well-founded mappings , the ontologies of information sources should be modeled with the same world view and with the same manner of representation. This paper introduces an ontology modeling framework for component libraries, which is developed based on the Guarino's theory of upper ontology . This paper discusses the results of modeling ontologies of mold and die component libraries based on the framework. A Web-based implementation automatically merges the source ontologies.
OWL Authoring System for building Web Ontology

Current web search includes a lot of different results with information that user does not want, because it searches information using keyword mapping. Ontology can describe the correct meaning of web resource and relationships between web resources. And we can extract suitable information that user wants using Ontology Accordingly, we need the ontology to represent knowledge. W3C announced OWL(Web Ontology Language), meaning description technology for such web resource. However, the development of a special tool that can effectively compose and edit OWL is inactive. In this paper, we designed and developed an OWL authoring system that can effectively provide the generation and edit about OWL.
A Study on PML Messaging Service Based on EPC for Logistics Information System Connection

Though many corporations are operating their logistics information systems, standard document forms for the connection of logistics information systems between transaction companies are not provided. Therefore, the standardized logistics information connection is needed for the efficient management. In this study, we Provide a prototype for logistics information systems connection by using e-mail which contains RFID and product information. This study could be a basis for logistics information system connection with the advance of RFID.
A Study on Authentication Server of Dynamic Signature Verification System

This paper is a research on the dynamic signature verification of error rate which are false rejection rate and false acceptance rate, the size of signature verification engine, the size of the characteristic vectors of a signature, the ability to distinguish similar signatures, and so on. We suggest feature extraction and comparison method of the advanced signature verification. Also, we have implemented web authentication server with Java technology for supporting various OS Platforms and designed for more efficient user interfaces.
Development of Security Evaluation Management System Based on Common Criteria

Common Criteria(CC) was announced in June, 1999 in order to solve a problem which be happened by applying a different evaluation criteria among nations. Currently, a official version is v2.2 and v3.0 is a draft version. Because an evaluation demand is increased in the inside and outside of the country, an evaluation market growth is expected. Also, It needs methodology and work automation and project management for evaluation. In this paper, we propose A CC based Security Evaluation Management System(CC-SEMS) that is managing evaluation resources(deliverables , evaluation criteria, evaluators) and is useful in evaluation environment efficiently. CC-SEMS is to have integrated project management, workflow management, process management and is composed of deliverables, Evaluation Activity Program(EAP), Management Object(MO), Evaluation Database(EDB), Evaluation Workflow Engine(EWE).
Web Service Discovery based on Process Information and QoS

OWL-S has a major leadership in the field of Web Service discovery and is being actively studied in LARKS and METEOR-S projects. These researches do not consider all components of OWL-S standards, and it is needed to enhance their discovery algorithms. In this paper, we propose matching algorithms based on process information such as process structure matching, service classification matching and business pattern matching algorithms. We also improve the QoS matching algorithm of METEOR-S project. Finally, we integrate these two kinds of matching algorithms as accommodate users preferences.
An Exploratory Study on Applications of Semantic Web through the Technical Limitation Factors of Knowledge Management Systems

Knowledge management is a core factor to achieve competitive advantage and improve the business performance. New information technology is also a core factor enabling the innovation of knowledge management. Semantic Web of which the goal is to realize machine-processable Web can't help affecting the knowledge management. Therefore, we empirically analyze the relationship between user's dissatisfaction and barriers or limitations of knowledge management and present methods allowing Semantic Web to overcome the limitations and to support knowledge management processes. Based on a questionnaire survey of 222 respondents, we found that the limitations of system qualities such as user inconvenience of knowledge management systems, search and integration limitations, and the limitations of knowledge qualities such as inappropriateness and untrust significantly affected the user dissatisfaction of knowledge management systems. Finally, we suggest a conceptual model of knowledge management systems of which components are resources, metadata, ontologies, and user & query layers.
Determinants of the user's Intention to use of Mobile banking

Based on literature relating to the theory of planned behavior(TPB) and the TAM, this study extends the applicability of the TAM in a mobile banking context, by adding one trust-based construct('perceived credibility') and two resource-based constructs('perceived efficacy' and 'perceived cost') and technical suitability constructs to the model, while paying careful attention to the placing of these constructs in the TAM's existing nomological structure. Data collected from 182 users in Korea were tested against the extended TAM, using the structural equation modeling approach. The results strongly support the extended TAM in predicting users intentions to adopt mobile banking. Several implications for IT/IS acceptance research and mobile banking management practices are discussed.
The study of application mobile communication technology to horse racing industry and operation achievements on this technology

The development of mobile communication technology has brought big changes in all the industry. By applying this technology to horse racing betting system, the technological possibility and the operational achievements could be finally measured. To judge the possibility that this technology can be applicable to horse racing industry, We decide to divide the horse racing course into two side(the inside and outside). And then for the inside of the racecourse, the wireless data technology is chosen and also for the outside of the racecourse, the wireless internet technology is opted. The application of mobile communication technology to horse racing betting is proceeded by the strategic cooperation among betting enterprise , communication enterprise and information supply enterprise. Betting by using mobile instruments in horse racing makes the records of the turnover and the new customer bigger and bigger. Therefore the gambling section can be also new model in the mobile business.
