Modified Multi-bit Shifting Algorithm in Multiplication Inversion Problems
Jang, In-Joo ; Yoo, Hyeong-Seon ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 1~11
This paper proposes an efficient inversion algorithm for Galois field GF(2n) by using a modified multi-bit shifting method based on the Montgomery algorithm. It is well known that the efficiency of arithmetic algorithms depends on the basis and many foregoing papers use either polynomial or optimal normal basis. An inversion algorithm, which modifies a multi-bit shifting based on the Montgomery algorithm, is studied. Trinomials and AOPs (all-one polynomials) are tested to calculate the inverse. It is shown that the suggested inversion algorithm reduces the computation time up to 26 % of the forgoing multi-bit shifting algorithm. The modified algorithm can be applied in various applications and is easy to implement.
Design of Framework for Ubiquitous Privacy-Aware Web Services
Song, You-Jin ; Lee, Dong-Hyeok ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 13~30
Web services are independent on a platform and are suitable in the Ubiquitous environment which an interaction for each device. Ubiquitous web services can use various applied service in any network neighborhood or terminal. Main characteristic of Ubiquitous is context-awareness. Therefore, Ubiquitous web services must include context-aware control process and protect user privacy because context-aware environment collects privacy data. But current web services standard is not specially designed in respect of context-communication. Therefore, the framework which can add flexibility in transmission of context is required. Our Framework can give extension for context and can communicate flexibly Context information for every session. Therefore, Our Framework can solve overhead problem of context in SOAP message and protect user's privacy according to user preference.
Auction Prices Generation Agent Using Case-base Reasoning
Ko, Min-Jung ; Lee, Yong-Kyu ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 31~48
Commercial internet auction systems have been successfully used recently. In those systems, because auction prices of auction items are given by sellers only, the success bid rate can be decreased due to the large difference between the reserve price and the normal price. In this paper, we propose an agent that generates auction prices to sellers based on past auction data and item prices gathered from the web Through performance experiments, we show that the successful bid rate increases by preventing sellers from making unreasonable reserve prices. Using the pricing agent, we design and implement an XML-based auction system on the web.
A Study on Influencing Factors of Virtual Community Success
Kim, Sang-Hoon ; Cho, Seung-Chul ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 49~69
The virtual community has been recognized as an effective marketing tool and has been an important motive of using internet to Internet users, but very few attempts have been done for the development of virtual community success. Although many studies have been made on influencing factors of virtual community success, the comprehensive studies have never been done so far. Therefore, this study focused on developing the comprehensive model and verifying empirically. This study proposed five influencing factors(Virtual Community Operational factor, Characteristics of Users, Usefulness, Trust, Commitment) that affect virtual community success and three success factors(Sense of Virtual Community, Loyalty, Purchasing Intention) by carrying out literature review extensively and suggesting the relationship among factors. The relationship among factors were empirically validated by structural equation modeling. The data used in this study were collected from 292 users of the existing virtual communities. As the result of statistical analysis. It was found that Virtual Community Operational Factor and Characteristics of Users statistically significantly influenced Virtual Community Success. Also, it was shown that the intervening effects of Usefulness, Trust and Commitment were statistically significant, but that the relationship between commitment and Loyalty was not statistically significant. Finally, it turned out that the causality among success variables of Virtual Community was supported, but that sense of Virtual Community was required to be measured by new measurements.
Enterprise Architecture Framework Design for Embracing Application Development
Lee, Seung-Bong ; Choi, Jae-Hyun ; Chong, Ki-Won ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 71~91
Nowadays most enterprise want to organize all Information Technology elements for their vision and mission accomplishments by integration view Enterprise architecture is used by the solution. But IT is so more complex that it can't cover application development. This research defines software architecture framework by enterprise view and designs enterprise architecture framework for embracing application development. Software architecture framework consists of meta architecture, conceptual architecture, logical architecture, physical architecture. For enterprise architecture framework including enterprise software architecture framework, this research analyzes its perspectives and Views. After all, This research able to apply to systematic application development based on enterprise architecture and completely IT elements organization by enterprise view.
A Semantics-based protocol for Business Process Transactions
Kang, Dong-Woo ; Lee, Sun-Jae ; Lee, Jae-Yeol ; Kim, Kwang-Soo ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 93~110
A Business Process Management System(BPMS) requires transaction management to guarantee reliability for transactions. Though several transaction protocols have been suggested for the transaction management, the difference of transaction protocols interrupts interoperability among transaction management systems. In this paper, a business process transaction based on semantics is suggested. It is defined based on the static semantics and the operational semantics. As the static semantics defines the ontologies for transaction states and transaction messages using Web Ontology Language(OWL), it solves the difference of expression for the concepts of transaction protocols. As the operational semantics defines state transitions of business process transactions using Abstract State Machine(ASM), it can guarantee formalism for transaction operations. The operational semantics refers to the state ontology and message ontology defined in the static semantics. This approach can enhance interoperability among various transaction protocols, increase the understandability for the transaction protocols, and support autonomous transaction execution and systematic transaction monitoring.
Resistance to Mobile Commerce Services
Song, Hee-Seok ; Kim, Kyeong-Cheol ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 11, issue 2, 2006, Pages 111~134
This paper analyzes the resistance to mobile commerce services in consumer adoption process. Relative advantage, compatibility, perceived risk, complexity, self-efficacy, innovativeness and attitude for competing service have been chosen as independent variables. This paper also investigates on the significant factors which resist against adoption of mobile commerce service according to adoption phase. The results show that relative advantage, self-efficacy, perceived risk, attitude for competing service are significant factors to affect resistance to mobile commerce services. Relative advantage, perceived risk, attitude for competing service are significant resistance to mobile commerce services for consumers in before-adoption group and compatibility, complexity, self-efficacy are significant factors for consumers in after-adoption group. This study can be extended to new communication services such as Wibro and DMB to reduce resistances in early adoption phase.
