The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 18, issue 3, 2013, Pages 1~15
DOI : 10.7838/jsebs.2013.18.3.001
Recently, many companies have been interested in the cloud computing as a new IT service. They have believed that the technology enables them to save cost and enhance productivity. However, because of the management and operational problems of the technology, they hesitate to adopt the technology into their businesses rapidly. The developed countries in the IT field, such as USA, UK, and Japan, have deployed various policies to promote the use of the cloud computing in their countries. The Korean Government also has started investing a lot of resources to make the technology used widely. This study examines the current status of the Korean Government's technology policies for the cloud computing by using three analysis frameworks, which can be used to identify the government's roles in government-leading technology initiatives. The results show that the Korean Government's current policies have focused on service providers, not service consumers, and focused on public sectors, not private sectors. The unbalanced policies might interfere with the rapid and massive adoption of the cloud computing.

The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 18, issue 3, 2013, Pages 45~67
DOI : 10.7838/jsebs.2013.18.3.045
In order to research the factors influencing on the intentions for smart phone users to purchase "App-Book" in Korea, the study examines the levels of influences using on an additional variable, "cost", as well as the four key variables(performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions) proposed by Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT; Venkatesh et al., 2003) validation. The result of the research confirms that the hypotheses of UTAUT model variable are generally supported by the information technology and many related previous researches. There is one exception, however, that facilitating conditions do not influence on the App-Book purchasing behavior by smart phone. It is revealed that the "age" and "experience" of the independent variables, as the proposed control variables, are most visible effect of control on the purchase intention and purchase behavior. This study has an academic significance of presenting a new integrated model to perform the research of the similar next App-Book services and purchase behavior related to the acceptance of new media. It also clarifies to the related companies that the usefulness of App-Book, the easiness of use, the cost and the social influence of purchasing App-Book by Outsider's intent. These aspects have practical implications as being presented.

This study shows APA case in Health Check-up Service Organization (G-Center) and the Utility of APA. G-Center had acquired Five Outcomes through APA: (1) IT Strategy, (2) IT Project Goals, (3) Transformed Business Process, (4) Functional Blueprint of Information Systems, (5) IT Project budget and its feasibility. APA consists of three analysis processes; Activity Separation, Activity Rearrangement, Activity Costing. APA is flexible in determinating the range and the time of analysis, and is able to expand the Actors(as analysis objects) based on the purpose of analysis by researcher. Eventually APA can be used to do internal IT Management effectively.
A Model for Ranking Semantic Associations in a Social Network
Oh, Sunju ;
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 18, issue 3, 2013, Pages 93~105
DOI : 10.7838/jsebs.2013.18.3.093
Much Interest has focused on social network services such as Facebook and Twitter. Previous research conducted on social network often emphasized the architecture of the social network that is the existence of path between any objects on network and the centrality of the object in the network. However, studies on the semantic association in the network are rare. Studies on searching semantic associations between entities are necessary for future business enhancements. In this research, the ontology based social network analysis is performed. A new method to search and rank relation sequences that consist of several relations between entities is proposed. In addition, several heuristics to measure the strength of the relation sequences are proposed. To evaluate the proposed method, an experiment was performed. A group of social relationships among the university and organizations are constructed. Some social connections are searched using the proposed ranking method. The proposed method is expected to be used to search the association among entities in ontology based knowledge base.

In a wireless sensor network environment, it is required to ensure anonymity by keeping sensor nodes' identifiers not being revealed and to support real-time authentication, lightweight authentication and synchronization. In particular, there exist possibilities of location information leakage by others, privacy interference and security vulnerability when it comes to wireless telecommunications. Anonymity has been an importance issue in wired and wireless network environment, so that it has been studied in wide range. The sensor nodes are interconnected among them based on wireless network. In terms of the sensor node, the researchers have been emphasizing on its calculating performance limit, storage device limit, and smaller power source. To improve of biometric-based D. He scheme, this study proposes a real-time authentication protocol using Unique Random Sequence Code(URSC) and variable identifier for enhancing network performance and retaining anonymity provision.

Discovering zones which a1re sets of geographically adjacent regions are essential in sophisticated urban developments and people's movement improvements. While there are some studies that separately focus on movements between particular regions and zone discovery, they show limitations to understand people's movements from a wider viewpoint. Therefore, in this research, we propose a clustering based analysis method that aims at discovering movement patterns, which involves zones and their relations, based on a big data of smart card transaction systems. Moreover, the effectiveness of discovered movement patterns is quantitatively evaluated by using the proposed metrics. By using a real-world dataset obtained in Seoul metropolitan subway networks, we investigate and visualize hidden movement patterns in Seoul.
