A Survey on Long-Term Preservation of Composite Electronic Records with Heterogeneous Electronic Records

Since the introduction of e-Government in Korea, government departments and public sectors produced a diversity of electronic records. In addition, they generated new electronic records (we are called composite electronic records(CERs)) which are composed of disparate electronic records. Typical examples of CERs are the records of Social Network Services (SNS). Currently, most of the government departments in Korea uses the Facebook Page to announce their policy and to collect feedback from the people. In addition, many CERs are created and produced. However, the government of Korea has no preservation policies about CERs. It causes problems with losing or neglecting a lot of information. Therefore, we presented the type and the characteristics of CERs which are produced by government departments of Korea. Moreover, we analyze and represent the researches of CERs preservation. Finally, we proposed the mechanism to preserve of CERs in Korea.
Adaptive Framework for Designing R&D Project Management Process Using Cloud Computing Technology

Two of the most important changes in the global market can be represented with Hyper-connection and Glocalization. To cope with these changes and secure the competitive advantages, it is essential to develop the standard organization, policy, processes and criteria for service management. In addition, the service management system is required to effectively support the R&D project management. In this research, an adaptive framework and system architecture for designing R&D project management process using cloud computing has been introduced. With the proposed system, it is able to overcome the limitations of traditional service management and treat the demand from the market in agility. Moreover, it may be possible to present more value than customers want and secure the competitive advantages in the global market with the proposed system.
Multiple Layer File Format for Safe Collaborative Design

A design file can get larger in size as the complexity of the target object increases. A large design file may reside in a large parallel computing system, such as cloud computing systems, and many designers may work concurrently on the same design file. In such a case, it is obvious that we need some kind of protection mechanism so that each user can access only the area of the file he or she is entitled to. Two approaches can be taken for this problem: one is the traditional access control mechanisms and the other encryption techniques. We take the latter approach to ensure the safety of the file even in public domain such as clouding systems, and in this paper, we suggest an encryption scheme for a file where the file is encrypted in multi-layer so that each user is allowed to access the file only at the layer for which the user has the proper access right. Each layer of the file is encrypted with different keys and these keys are exposed only to those who have the right access permit. The paper explains the necessary file format to achieve this goal and discusses the file manipulation functions to handle this new file format.

Railway is paid attention as a means of environment-friendly transportation and logistics. Efforts to enhance the competitiveness by IT convergence, for railway vehicle market share of the world, has been promoted. This study proposes a technology development plan of railway IT convergence. We analyzed the results of legacy researches and technology patents related with railway IT convergence and derived the target tasks in accordance with our technologies classification. By adopting the multi-attributes utility theory methodology and using survey of experts, we selected the core research issues. The result of this study could help policy making and R&D planning about railway IT convergence.
The Process Reference Model for the Data Quality Management Process Assessment

There are two ways to assess data quality : measurement of data itself and assessment of data quality management process. Recently maturity assessment of data quality management process is used to ensure and certify the data quality level of an organization. Following this trend, the paper presents the process reference model which is needed to assess data quality management process maturity. First, the overview of assessment model for data quality management process maturity is presented. Second, the process reference model that can be used to assess process maturity is proposed. The structure of process reference model and its detail processes are developed based on the process derivation approach, basic principles of data quality management and the basic concept of process reference model in SPICE. Furthermore, characteristics of the proposed model are described compared with ISO 8000-150 processes.
Development of Case-based Service Improvement Methodology By Utilizing TRIZ Concept

In the 21st century, The service industry is becoming a new core business. In the modern industrial society, it escapes from supporting the manufacturing industry and finally leads to the growth of the manufacturing industry. Although many companies have met a variety of customer requirements through the existing service process, an organization or service developer has been failed because they had depended on intuitive judgment. Therefore, in this paper, we suggests CSIM(Case-based Service Improvement Methodology) to support improvement direction. This methodology is based on 120 cases and developed by utilizing the TRIZ concepts. As a result, CSIM will be a creative tool to support a developer to solve the problems.
An Explorative Study on the Difference between Smartphone Application Selection Factors and Purchase Factors

This research focuses on the relationship between influencing factors of users' smartphone application download and consumers' purchase. The results show that there is some difference between them. The factors influencing mobile application download include word of mouth, usability, ease of use, functionality, enjoyment, interoperability, design, and experience while the factors influencing purchase are word of mouth, usability, ease of use, cost, functionality, enjoyment, interoperability, design, experience. An experience factor impacts on both download and purchase. Specially, enjoyment, usability, and functionality have strong effects on purchase. We also found out that mobile application type such as hedonic or utilitarian application also impacts on purchasing application. For utilitarian application, functionality impacts on purchase intension. Therefore this fact suggests that it is very important to understand the accurate purchasing influence of its consumer when setting up the marketing strategy of mobile application.
Comparison between Planned and Actual Data of Block Assembly Process using Process Mining in Shipyards

This paper proposes a method to compare planned processes with actual processes of bock assembly operations in shipbuilding industry. Process models can be discovered using the process mining techniques both for planned and actual log data. The comparison between planned and actual process is focused in this paper. The analysis procedure consists of five steps : 1) data pre-processing, 2) definition of analysis level, 3) clustering of assembly bocks, 4) discovery of process model per cluster, and 5) comparison between planned and actual processes per cluster. In step 5, it is proposed to compare those processes by the several perspectives such as process model, task, process instance and fitness. For each perspective, we also defined comparison factors. Especially, in the fitness perspective, cross fitness is proposed and analyzed by the quantity of fitness between the discovered process model by own data and the other data(for example, the fitness of planned model to actual data, and the fitness of actual model to planned data). The effectiveness of the proposed methods was verified in a case study using planned data of block assembly planning system (BAPS) and actual data generated from block assembly monitoring system (BAMS) of a top ranked shipbuilding company in Korea.
Time Series Analysis on the Endogeneity between Quality of Internet Banking System and Business Performances of Banks

This study investigates time series data on internet banking systems and business performances for 5 large-scale banks : Kookmin, Woori, Hana, City, Shinhan. These banks have the common features that they merged with other banks around 2000, hence they experienced massive IS integration between banks. This study adopted VAR and VECM for identifying Granger causality between the quality of internet banking systems and the performances of banks(operating revenue and cost). The main results are as follows. First, internet banking system impacts positively on the revenues as well as costs of banks. Second, the improvement of internet banking system is instigated by cost part more than revenue part. Hence, the results imply that banks tries to reduce operating costs via internet banking systems, however the systems rather increased the costs of banks, although the systems increased operating revenues of banks too.
Ontology Design of Semantic Case Based Reasoning System for the Share and Exchange of Sub-Cases

Case-based reasoning is a methodology for solving problems more quickly and efficiently by bringing the most similar case of a given problem from past cases and transforming it to fit the current situation. The most important performance indicator of case-based reasoning is the number of cases, so it is difficult to apply the methodology for the area which has not enough cases. In this paper, we proposed a method to exchange cases based on the Semantic Web in order to overcome the problems. Inparticular, we separated cases into sub-cases to make it possible creating new cases by combining the appropriate sub-cases even if there was no proper full case. In order to achieve that, we designed an ontology that connects a case and its sub-cases, represents detailed similarity rules that compare sub-cases, and represents the rules for the combination of sub-cases. Moreover, we designed and implemented a semantic distributed case-based reasoning framework where a case requester can request sub-cases via the Web from case providers and integrates sub-cases into a new case by using the ontology.
Factors Influencing the Introduction of Mobile Security Technology

This research has reviewed the major composition concepts and the positive research results in the selected studies which were theoretically based on IDT (Innovation Diffusion Theory), IRM (Model of Innovation Resistance), TAM(Technology Acceptance Model), and IAPA(Information Asset Protection Activity) in order to improve the theoretical explanation of major characterized factors influencing on the introduction of MST (Mobile Security Technology). The characterized factors for the adaptation of MST and 17 hypotheses on the MST study models in order to test the effects on the intention to use are empirically verified by utilizing the analysis method of structure equation model. As a result of a study, First, the most influential characterized factors of IRM are shown as compatibility, complexity, relative advantage, information asset protection in order. Second, the characterized factors affecting intention to use are shown as relative advantage, compatibility, innovation resistance, performance expectancy. The results of this study are relevantly significant to establish the theoretical foundation of the study on the adaptation of MST and The verification of the characterized factors provide strategic implication for the introduction of MST and policy direction which alleviates informational gap between new MST and previous Security Technology to diffusion agency.
An Empirical Study on the Factors Influencing Acceptance of Convergence Services: Focusing on Telematics Service

Convergence service, which is a combination of various services, is becoming more important. Among the many examples of convergence service, this study aims to analyze telematics service. By dividing Telematics service into information services and entertainment services, it was empirically proved that the relationship between each dimensions of TAM (perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, purchase intention) and each service satisfaction, price, design factor. According to the result of structure equation model, service satisfaction and design factor have a significant effect on perceived ease of use, but not on perceived usefulness. It means that the perceived ease of use factor should be emphasized, because of service characteristics that are used during driving.
A Study on Factors Influencing Chinese Tourists' Intention to Use Online Travel Reservation Services

As visiting of Chinese tourists to Korea have increased gradually, Chinese people who use online travel reservation services for their visits to Korea have increased accordingly. In addition, the growth of the online reservation services in China is very rapid. Therefore, it is necessary to study the factors affecting the Chinese tourists' intention to use the online travel reservation services in order to advance e-business in the travel industry. This paper presents a new research model based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) including perceived risk, service factors, online reviews and user satisfaction. Also, it analyzes factors affecting the Chinese tourists' intention to use the online travel reservation services. The results of this study show that the key influencers of the online travel reservation services are perceived usefulness, perceived ease, and perceived risk. Additionally, based on these results, this paper proposes practical suggestions to solve the existing problems and improve online travel reservation websites in China.
Determinants of User Perceived Value and Its Influence on the Usage of Smartphone-based Mobile Commerce : Focusing on Service Ubiquity and User Control

This study attempts to identify user perceived value as a major predictor of the usage of smartphone-based mobile commerce(m-commerce). More specifically, the study conceptualizes user perceived value of smartphone-based m-commerce along three dimensions, such as temporal, functional, and economic values. Moreover, this study proposes service ubiquity and user control that are uniquely defining characteristics of smartphone-based m-commerce and examines how the two variables are associated with the creation of user perceived value. Using a total of 164 data collected on users of smartphone-based mcommerce, we conducted PLS analysis to test the proposed model and hypotheses. The key findings are as follows : First, it has been found that the usage of smartphone-based m-commerce is determined by the three values, such as temporal, functional, and economic values. Particularly, the results show that temporal value is the most influential variable in predicting m-commerce use. Second, the results demonstrate that service ubiquity has a significant positive effect on temporal value, whereas it has no effect on functional value. Finally, user control is positively associated with temporal and functional values. Overall, the results indicate that service ubiquity and user control considerably increase temporal value, thereby accelerating the use of smartphone-based m-commerce. Discussions and implications of the results are provided.

The existing computer environment, numerous mobile environments and the internet environment make human life easier through the development of IT technology. With the emergence of the mobile and internet environment, data is getting bigger rapidly. From this environment, we can take advantage of using those data as economic assets for organizations which make dreams come true for the emerging Big Data environment and Big Data security services. Nowadays, Big Data services are increasing. However, these Big Data services about Big Data security is insufficient at present. In terms of Big Data security the number of security by Big Data studies are increasing which creates value for Security by Big Data not Security for Big Data. Accordingly in this paper our research will show how security for Big Data can vitalize Big Data service for organizations. In details, this paper derives the priorities of the components of Big Data Information Security Service by AHP.
Outlier Detection Techniques for Biased Opinion Discovery

Users in social media post various types of opinions such as product reviews and movie reviews. It is a common trend that customers get assistance from the opinions in making their decisions. However, as opinion usage grows, distorted feedbacks also have increased. For example, exaggerated positive opinions are posted for promoting target products. So are negative opinions which are far from common evaluations. Finding these biased opinions becomes important to keep social media reliable. Techniques of opinion mining (or sentiment analysis) have been developed to determine sentiment polarity of opinionated documents. These techniques can be utilized for finding the biased opinions. However, the previous techniques have some drawback. They categorize the text into only positive and negative, and they also need a large amount of training data to build the classifier. In this paper, we propose methods for discovering the biased opinions which are skewed from the overall common opinions. The methods are based on angle based outlier detection and personalized PageRank, which can be applied without training data. We analyze the performance of the proposed techniques by presenting experimental results on a movie review dataset.
A Study on the IT Project Selection Considering Budget Constraints

Effective and efficient selection of IT projects is crucial for company's competitiveness. The selection of IT projects usually involves consideration of budget constraints but existing IT project selection models often neglect budget constraints. This paper presents an IT project selection model which considers budget constraints. AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and Knapsack problem model have been combined to develop the proposed model, AHP-K model, where AHP is used to estimate weights of selection criteria and, then, a knapsack problem model is utilized to optimize selection of IT project while meeting the budget constraints. In this paper, a case study is provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed AHP-K model. It has been shown that the proposed AHP-K model is better than the AHP model in terms of total utility of projects and investment efficiency.
