The Design and Implementation of XConverter System With Java
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 1~12
AS EC is expanded and activated, many message standards, EDI, XML, UDF, etc are defined and is used at various business part. But the existed translator supports only one mapping translation, for example, EDI-to-UDF, UDF-to-EDI. So many user must be introduced a new translation when new business(message standard) is beginning, To solve this problem, we propose XConverter System as registering mapping information which is able to transform to user requested format using same translator even though it is transferred any formatted message in this paper. Also, We design and implement this system which is capable to integrate with existed legacy system, including DB transformation functionality. The .XConverter System supports changing the business message format to the common user used message format. And this system easily migrates with existed legacy system because DB transform module is component. Therefore, The proposed System is more various and flexible than the other translation system that provide just one mapping transformation.

ATM is the transport method for the broadband integrated services digital networks(B-ISDN). It may replace existing LAN, MAN and WAN technologies such as CSMA/CD, FDDI, Frame relay, X.25, etc. But it is more complicate than existing network technologies. One of the main difficulties in ATM network is performance management. Specifically, the problems are evaluating the performance and tuning the values of the performance parameters, The goal of this paper is to introduce a system architecture designed for ATM network performance management, The major ingredients of the system are generic performance parameters In be measured from ATM network, performance evaluation models and decision criteria concerning the network performance. In this paper, general requirements for performance management application in ATM network are discussed.
A Design and Implementation of Internet Information Mediator based on XML
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 39~55
As the Proliferation of the Internet, especially World Wide Web, numerous information resources have been constructed. The characteristics of information resources on the Internet are that the information resources are distributed, autonomous, and heterogeneous. Moreover each information resource has its own query method, data representation, and schema structure. The integration of information resources is one of the most important research issues in the Internet data management. The task of information resources integration system is to answer queries that require extracting and combining data from multiple information sources. In this paper, we propose an XML-based Mediation Framework(XMF) for integrating the Internet information resources.

A Development and Application of the Checklist for Evaluating Software Usability
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 73~85
Usability is defined by the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction with which specified users can achieve specified goal in particular environment. Today, many factors such as software acquisition, business re-engineering and the trend of software market have software industry considers usability as an important quality of software products. Therefore, the specification and measurement method for establishing the acceptable usability level of software is required during software development acquisition and evaluation. To evaluate whether software products is usable or not, we need evaluation method for software usability. This paper is not only to provide a framework for specifying the usability attributes of a product and establishing a comprehensive set of usability criteria, but also assessing usability metrics of the software. The usability metrics and checklist is developed based on the properties of the user interface using ISO standard and general usability principles with product-oriented view which means the Product has attributes contributing to determine the usability. This paper also suggested the way to weight the relative importance of the individual usability item depending on the software categories.
Design and Implementation of a realtime Auction System using information providing agent
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 87~99
Along with the rapid emergence of the Internet and e-commerce, online auctions are hitting the spotlights. The inconveniences found in off-line auctions, such as time and place restriction and limited number of items, are solved in the online auction. However, not so many auction sites have integrated auction information systems, which monitor the present status of auctions, resulting in greater inconvenience for the online auction users. Moreover, there is no auction site that suggests the appropriate starting or closing price that is useful for users when they make, their bids, What the online auction users need is an auction system that can solve such problems. This study is purported for solving the problems by designing and implementing a real time auction system that applies the comparison search functions and the agent functions. In other words, an integrated database system using a bidder-oriented agent for providing information is built so that the users can search and compare the information on the item they are interested in and make a faster and more accurate purchase. Also the appropriate starting and closing prices are offered to the sellers and bidders through the integrated system for a closer and more accurate comparison and analysis of the prices. For future work, the product recommendation service, which accurately reflects the bidding patterns, and the methods for studying the multi bidding pattern will be applied to the suggested system to realize a real time auction information system that supports CRM(Customer Relationship Management) .

Each of them has its own activities, tasks, and outputs. The methodology has been composed to prevailing ones so as to reveal its practice values.
Data Dictionary of Automotive Parts based on PLIB Part 42
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 127~142
For the B2B e-commerce and SCM (Supply Chain Management), standardization of electronic catalogue that contains product and business data is important. Especially, standardization of hierarchies that is required for categorization, and standardization of product properties are difficult and costly to maintain. The ability of searching for items and data in databases is critical for successful e-commerce system. This paper introduces the data dictionary of PUB (ISO 13584) part 42 which can establish the standard of product data. The method is applied to develop the data dictionary of automotive parts.
An Empirical Study of Software Size Estimation Techniques by Use Case
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 143~157
There has been a need for predicting development efforts and costs of the system during the early stage of the software process and hundreds of metrics have been proposed for computer software, but not all provide practical support to the software engineer. Some demand measurement that is too complex, others are so esoteric that few real-world professionals have any hope of understanding them, and others violate the basic intuitive notions of what high-quality software really is. It is worthwhile that metrics should be tailored to best accommodate specific products and processes after grasping their good and no good point. This paper describes two size estimation techniques, the Karner technique and the Marchesi technique, and compares and analyzes them with proposed evaluation criteria. Both techniques are to estimate software size analyzed by use case that is mainly described during the object-oriented analysis phase. We also present an empirical comparison of them, both are applied in the Internet Medicine Prescription System. We also propose some guidance for experiments based on our analysis. We believe that it should be facilitating project management more effective by adjusting software metrics properly.
The Design of NPC Encryption Algorithms for Electronic Commerce
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 6, issue 2, 2001, Pages 159~166
EC(Electronic Commerce) is increasing with high speed based on the expansion of Internet. EC which is done through Internet has strong point like independence from time and space, On the contrary, it also has weak point like security problem because anybody can access easily to the system due to open network attribute of Internet. Therefore, we need the solutions that protect the security problem for safe and useful U activity, One of these solutions is the implementation of strong cipher algorithm. NPC(Non-Polynomial Complete) cipher algorithm proposed in this paper is good for the security and it overcome the limit of current 64bits cipher algorithm using 256bits key for input output and encryption key, Moreover, it is designed for the increase of calculation complexity and probability calculation by adapting more complex design for subkey generation regarded as one of important element effected to encryption.
