A Survey m Demand and Activation of Mobile Internet Business

This research investigates several essential topics of m-business by conducting a questionnaire to the professional experts. The topics include the market structure and business, the demand for available m-business service and its development, the market size and market growth factors, the service fee, the core technologies and technology development prediction. This paper contributes to the development of m-business in that it provides criteria and policies for more active and efficient treatment of m-business market under IMT2000 environment and also offers guides and plans of m-business activation for both government and enterprise.
The Design and Implementation of the Object Query Management System in ebXML Registry/Repository

ebXML is the international technical framework specification that enables Internet-based B2B electronic business using XML, It was standardized by UN/CEFACT and OASIS on May 2001. Registry and Repository is the core of ebXML. It supports registry services which is composed of object management service and object query management service. The object management service manages the object's life cycle and the object query management service provides a mechanism to approach metadata of stored objects. Up to now, implementations of ebXML Registry object query management system don't support full functions of the specification completely. We implemented all the functions of ebXML Registry Service Specification vl.0. This system supports Browse ＆ Drilldown Query, Filter Query, SQL Query, and Object Retrieval Query services. And it also supports Content-based Query service which is not specified in the ebXML RS specification. The Content-based Query service is a repository service which makes it possible In pose content based queries of repository items and which will be specified on the RS specification v2.0.
Component classification modeling for component circulation market activation

Many researchers have studied component technologies with concept, methodology and implementation for partial business domain, however there are rarely researches for component classification to manage these systematically. In this paper, we suggest a component classification model, which can make component reusability higher and can derive higher productivity of software development. We take four focuses generalization, abstraction, technology and size. The generalization means which category a component belongs to. The abstraction means how specific a component encapsulates its inside. The technology means which platform for hardware environment a component can be plugged in. The size means the physical component volume.
Implementation of the Integrated E-Catalog System for the efficiency of the B2B e -business

Product catalog information is the most important factor to make customers purchase the product for various B2B or B2C businesses provided on the Internet. As catalog information differs from company by company, it cannot provide common criteria standard to customers to make decisions. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a platform independent system, which integrates incompatible data from each company' catalogs and manages its database. This paper describes the integrated E-catalog system made up DB module, catalog management module, and interface module. This system allows customers to view standardized product catalog information from different companies with real -time updates, and also provides extensibility, flexibility, and interoperability for the effective E-Business management.
Knowledge Based Search System In the ebXML Environment

As B2B (Business to business) develops swiftly, at home as well as in other advanced countries, plans for activating Electronic business are made and proceeded in a national viewpoint. However, it is essential task for the construction, advancement and activation of B2B framework to make an efficient search for differently built -up data from B2C and thus to look for optimal business partner suitable for his/her own business. For this, in the last Aug. of 2001, government has also referred to ebXML, the exchange model for electronic business data based on XML, as a suggestion for B2B framework. The purpose of this study is to develop search system for efficient choice of business partner and this will play an important role for data processing and competitiveness strengthening of small and medium enterprises. Meanwhile, this system is built up by using systemic characteristics registered in ebXML Registry/Repository and ‘question-expanding’ searching ways based on the particulars of business profiles for both objectiveness and maximum efficiency of search result.
The SAN for Web Warehousing: An Alternative Data Repository

The combination of data warehousing and Internet technology produces a new concept - web warehousing. Due to the availability of web technologies and the need to make prompt decisions with timely information, web warehousing is emerging as a key strategic business weapon. Yet despite the many promising benefits of web warehousing, researchers have also identified several challenges, including scalability and availability. With the rise of the Internet and data centric computing applications, the use of new Storage Area Network (SAN) technology has been spotlighted for the possibility of a new data repository for web warehousing. In this article, the two new concepts of web warehousing and storage area networks are introduced. In particular, a SAN is discussed in detail as an alternative data repository to overcome the current limitations of web warehousing.
A Study on Business Processes and Corresponding Classifications of Digital Contents Industries

The importance of contents industry is growing up in various industries because of internet and digital economy. Recently, contents industry is challenging to new businesses such as total service industry with digital contents. It is important to classify digital contents to use it in contents industries and information and telecommunication service industries. Previous contents classification frameworks is based on contents quality, business model and application methods. They didn't consider business processes, interfaces of business unit and interactions in contents industries. In this paper, we present core business processes in digital contents industries, a corresponding digital contents classification, and analysis method of digital contents industry.
A Study on the Implementation of Global SCM(Supply Chain Management) Model using Electronic Commerce Infrastructure

SCM(Supply Chain Management) have been introduced in many companies for integrated management and improvement of business process. Recently, as internet and e-business concept are spread globally, the SCM concept is expanded from one internal company process to inter-company process, it makes a Global SCM concept. In this paper, we discuss the implementation of the Global SCM concept using e-business infrastructure, and propose SCM portal models. Four types of the SCM portal model are discussed, which are forecasting information sharing model, e-Marketplace-typed model, collaboration model and logistics information sharing model. The major concept of the SCM portal is to share information of supply chain process, it provide merits of scale to company. The result of this paper can be summarized as follows : First, the information sharing is very useful in the Global SCM. Second, the e-business infrastructure, especially e-Marketplace can be usefully used for implementation of SCM portal. Third, the M2M(Market to Market) function of e-Marketplace is a major function for implementing SCM portal.
Design and Implementation of XML-based Electronic Data Interchange Using Unified Modeling Language

Most of companies related to the area of B2B electronic commerce are making their efforts to innovate their existing business process into new designed process. XML-based electronic data interchange has potential to impact on reshaping the traditional EDI systems. This study intends to suggest a prototype of XML-based electronic data interchange using unified modeling language, with a case study applied in Korean automobile industry. In order to accomplish the research objectives, we employed UML as its standard modeling language, In this study, four diagramming techniques such as use case diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram, component diagram among eight modeling techniques are used for analyzing hierarchical business process. As a result of applying UML methodology, we design and develop XML/EDI applications efficiently. Our field test applied to Korean automobile industry shows that data modeling to design XML application using UML is better than existing methodologies in representing object schema of XML data and in extension and interoperability of systems.
An Study of Low Growth of B2C Electronic Commerce in South Korea - Price, Costs, Law and Policy

As the Internet has been spread widely and rapidly in Korea since mid 1990s, the growth of electronic commerce was expected to be so at first. It was generally believed that the Internet and electronic commerce would increase the market efficiency and decrease the asymmetry of information. Electronic commerce seemed to replace the traditional market by lowering price and creating consumer-driven market, The actual situation of market, however, is not. The fact-finding research tells the different result that the amount of B2C electronic commerce in Korea is very small contrary to expectations. This study is for the analysis of low growth of B2C electronic commerce in Korea, and to find solutions.
Development of Supply Chain Management Tools for Business-to-Business Collaboration

Supply chain management is a practical vision of industrial information systems in the global competitive environments. In these environments, the linkage of business processes between enterprises which compose a supply chain should be constructed. In this study, we designed and developed supply chain management tools to provide collaborations between enterprises. The developed tools are designed to act as a coordinator for the suppliers and consumers in the supply chain.
A Study on the Activation of Mobile Internet Technical Development and Standardization

Due to the development of information technology of digital revolution, It is recognized that technical development and standardization are getting important. In this study we executed questionnaires for experts in industry, academy and research institution to survey on the demand for the mobile internet technical development and standardization in the IMT2000 environment. This analysis of the technical development and standardization can be utilized to make strategies of related industry and alternatives of policy for our government. It is expected that this study will contribute to the preoccupy of global market.
A study on performance evaluation of K4 Firewall System with multiple CPUs and security rules

According as development of networks and increasing on Internet service, For the performance increase of K4 Firewall require that hardware be installed of 2 CPU or 4 CPU instead of 1 CPU. Output of performance test among 1CPU, 2CPU, and 4CPU of K4 Firewall system has not any efficient about increasing multiple CPUs. K4 Firewall put performance on setting on demon of packet filtering rules and Network Address Translate and Authentication and Proxy services. Performance results that setting after security rules are less 2％ Packet Filtering, 8％-11％ NAT, 18％-20％ Proxy and Authentication services than setting before security rules on K4 Firewall System. NAT and Proxy service have decrease of performance. This performance result comes in useful for research and development on K4 Firewall System.
J2EE Pattern Based Component Development Process

The various software engineering techniques have been appeared in order to cope with the software crisis since 1980's. Currently, the research against the techniques likes the Design pattern, Component which improve the software's re-use are spread out. Also S/W Development Process are interested intensively which attempts the quality and a increasing productivity of software development with the basic policy. The design pattern is the solution against the problem which occurs repeat in a specific area. Many design pattern are developed and researched, but the method which accommodates the developed design pattern efficiently in the phase of analysis and design software development process is not good enough, so it is the actual applying technique is difficult. In this paper we suggest and the “UML components+” which is a efficient component development process from customizing EJB based the J2EE using the “UML Components” which is a component development methodology. Applying J2EE pattern efficiently with UML components+, there is a possibility of efficiency in the component development based pattern.
