The Factor Evaluation by Website Type based on a Kano Model
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 1~16
This study evaluates the factors of e-commerce websites using a Kano model. In this study, especially the Kano model is applied to both business-to-customer(B2C) and business-to-business(B2B) websites in order to reveal how factors are different between the two types, while previous research is limited to mainly evaluation of B2C websites. In addition, the factors on product types supported from websites are defined, which resulted in discovering the differences among the websites by product types. The contribution of this paper is as follows. Firstly, it reveals the actual B2B website evaluation as well as evaluation by product types such as physical and service product. Secondly, it reviews the B2B e-Commerce that will play a key role in the near future.
Automatic Reserve Price Generation for an Internet Auction System Using Moving Average
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 17~31
It is very important that sellers provide reasonable reserve prices for auction items in internet auction systems. Recently, an agent has been proposed to generate reserve prices automatically based on the case similarity of information retrieval theory. However, one of its drawbacks is that the recent trend of auction prices is not reflected in the generated reserve prices, because it suggests the bid price of the most similar item from the past auction data. In this paper, in order to overcome the problem, we propose a new method that generates reserve prices based on the moving average of time series analysis, in which more weight is provided to the recent bid prices. Through performance experiments, we show that the successful bid rate can be increased by preventing sellers from making unreasonable reserve prices.

Marketplace-Repository Based Interoperability Model for Logistics and Public processes
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 69~85
The goals of this research are to look into the logistics systems and to have a thorough grasp on the status of legal systems such as taxation and customs clearance practices and, further, to draw up an interoperable scheme seamlessly linking those two on a national scale. In this research we looked into the business process and related information of border-crossing logistics systems between B2B marketplaces. We also investigated the status of taxation systems and customs clearance practices in order to associate e-marketplaces with one another. We proposed interoperable scheme for seamless linking between B2B e-marketplace based on marketplace repository model.
A Study on the ConstructionCALS/EC Future Applying Methodologies of Its Key Technologies
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 87~108
The current construction industry mainly uses paper-based construction documents which are produced during the whole life cycle. The paper-based information hinders to reuse the construction information, due to the inefficiency to exchange and share the construction information between designers and constructors. To overcome these problems, construction CALS/EC (Continuous Acquisition and Life Cycle Support/Electronic Commerce) has been proposed by the government. It supports efficient reusing, sharing and exchanging the construction information using digitalized drawings and documentations. This study intends to show the future applying methodologies of using the standardized key technologies in the construction CALS/EC based on the case study of Korea and several countries.

A Realtime Parking lot Information System Using XML in Mobile Environments
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 123~143
Nowadays, insufficient parking lots give rise to a serious problem. Cars are increased in geometrical progression, but parking lots that takes in cars are relatively limited. Often we spend a lot of time to look for a parking lot because of limited parking lot. To solve this problem, we can use real time parking lot information system provided from mobile vehicles. In this paper, we will tell you how to deliver the parking lot information in real time by construction wireless network environment to be provided real time information and making XML data that is easy to share and to exchange data between applications.
Techniques of Component Workflow Variability Implementation based on .NET in the Enterprise Framework
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 145~161
CBD(Component Based Development) can make use of component of block unit that is implementation beforehand and shorten software development cost and time. Also, component can reduce complexity for the large application development because it can hide detail part of internal and offer interface. Common requirement of family in the enterprise framework environment can express workflow, but it is very difficult that express special workflow in single component on various family member's requirement. Therefore, necessity about workflow variability management between component for family member and implementation method had been required constantly This treatise presents implementation techniques for component workflow variability in enterprise framework under .NET base. Presented component workflow variability implementation techniques supposes that commonness business workflow that family can use in enterprise workflow was created already in component, and improve workflow's extensity between component by workflow composition between special component and techniques for practice to various family member.
A Development of UDDI 3.0 Registry based on Relational DBMS
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 163~181
Recently, it is to increase rapidly in people who do a private business through Web service. So, many companies have been developing part of businesses using Web Services. The greatest interest of companies developing Web Services was that users were easily discovering and using information on theirs. So, companies have been taking interest in a standard that supports registrations of information on Web service and discoveries of a registered Web services. Therefore UDDI 3.0 standard of the registry for Web service standardized by OASIS is in the spotlight. But, because of the complexity of it, there are no implementations developed in the inside of the country yet. And a development activity of it is faint. In outside of the country, IBM, Microsoft and SAP has developed it, but they do not perfectly support a standard of UDDI 3.0. This Paper shows the development of the Registry System which supports perfectly a standard of UDDI 3.0.
Implementation of Business Integration Platform using Web Services
The Journal of Society for e-Business Studies, volume 9, issue 2, 2004, Pages 183~201
Not only Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) within a company but also business-to-business integration (B2Bi) should be achieved for companies to collaborate seamlessly through the Internet. There have been great efforts in this area of EAI and B2Bi, resulting in lots of solutions in the market. However, EAI and B2Bi systems have been designed and operated in independent platforms and environments causing a serious problem of integrating EAI and B2Bi systems. In this paper we have proposed a business integration platform for connecting EAI and B2Bi systems in a uniform architecture and also coping with changes in business environments. In the integration platform proposed in this work, collaboration processes between B2B companies can be performed using Web Services technology widely considered as B2B integration platform. Especially, we have defined basic business execution elements based on a thorough analysis of various business integration standards and developed an efficient and extensible business process engine for B2B collaboration process management. A Web-based order processing system is developed for validation of our integration platform. It is expected that the level of B2B collaboration can be enhanced using the integration platform and furthermore it will contribute to more collaborative B2B commerce.
