A Study on the Success Factors of Partnership in SCM

The purpose of this study is to explore the nature of supply chain partnership, and to find the factors influencing the supply chain partnership success. For this, relationship commitment and trust were used as the basic components of the supply chain partnership. Also we identified strategic fit, interdependence, compatibility, and communication as determinants of supply chain partnership. Based on the statistical analysis of the sample of Korean corporations, it was found that relationship commitment and trust were shown to be significant factors influencing the supply chain partnership success. In addition, the findings reveal that strategic fit, interdependence, compatibility, and communication will facilitate supply chain partnership. More specifically, strategic fit and interdependence have a significant positive influence on relationship commitment. Also, compatibility and communication have a significant positive influence on trust. There result, in short, supported the importance of supply chain partnership for the successful SCM.
Antecedents of Satisfaction with Internet News Sites

This study analyzes the factors which have influence on Internet news satisfaction and difference of Internet news categorical satisfaction based on the survey for the satisfaction of users towards Internet news site. As a result, this analysis suggests important points that have to be considered in producing and managing Internet news site and the position of internet news categorical satisfaction today. This analysis is particular because there has not been any study on testing difference between categorical satisfactions.
A Study on the Utilization Schemes of E-Commerce for the Consumer Protecion

This study introduces consumer protection policies at domestic and overseas, regarding the current situation that is raised about, and analyzes how to promote e-commerce with consumer protection oriented. This article explores e-commerce protection policies aiming at enforcing consumer protection and introduces some strategies - enhancing consumer trust, improving electronic transaction disputation, personal information security and privacy and using authorized certificate. This paper aims at suggesting the method of promoting e-commerce through ensuring the consumer trust and decreasing the transaction cost.
A Stduy on the Development of XML Schemata and STEP Model for Sharing Construction Drawings Information

The main purpose of this study is to develop XML schemata and related STEP model for sharing construction drawings information. To achieve this purpose, the authors have developed a drawing information model based on STEP/AP202, the data searching mechanism based on STEP, and XML schemata for sharing and exchanging information between vector data and non-shape attribute information. Finally, the authors have suggested the way of sharing drawing information through linked STEP data and a XML schema using test cases of construction material information and code checking. The study shows a way of optimized managing and sharing construction information through the drawing information and external data for the whole building life-cycle, from early design stage to the construction stage.
Construction of Construction Drawing Data Repository using Ontology

W3C has developed the RDF standard for utilizing ontology in Web applications. This paper presents extracting, storing, and applying ontology on product data. The management and document information included in DWG files is focused as an example. By analyzing the relationship among the drawing data, the RDF schema is designed frist. Based on the schema ontology is extracted and stored in XML files. As an application of the stored ontology, we the schema ontology is extracted and stored in XML files. As an application of the stored ontology, we can reconfigure the sitemap of drawing data repositories. In this example, the users can select the view that he or she is interested in (e.g., designer, document, project). With such various views of an drawing data repository, the users can access the specific data more effectively.
Building an Ontology based on the Unified Construction Information Classification System

Recently, extensive research has been conducted on classification systems for managing a huge amount of information with various froms in the construction industry. Classification Systems such as ISO/DIS 12006-2 and MasterFormathave been proposed as international standards, and accommodating them for Korean situation the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation has proposed the Unified Construction Information Classification System. As the construction industry becomes bigger and more complicated, however, the need for higher-level semantic representation of construction information has been recognized. In this study we develop a prototype ontology based upon the Unified Construction Information Classification and suggest a practical way of applying an ontology technology to the construction information systems. An ontology is a useful tool to effectively manageconstruction information and to support interoperability among heterogeneous information systems by clarifying the semantic relationship between concepts.
An Enterprise Alignment Model based on Enterprise Architecture

Up to the present, most of the previous works, related to the alignment of organizations, have been focused on the alignment between business and information technology. Also these works have been done with single element, e.g., view rather than with overall elements such as view, scope, and perspective for enterprise-wide integrated alignment. Meanwhile, an enterprise architecture is a blueprint that represents the structure of components of organizations and their interrelationships. Nowadays, many organizations attempt to make enterprise-wide alignment of business and information technology based on enterprise architecture. Unfortunately, the enterprise-wide alignment is still in a stage of not only conceptual level but also abstract level. Hence, this paper proposes a structured enterprise-wide alignment model to overcome the limitations of existing alignment models. We survey the existing works and propose the conceptual, the logical, and the physical models for enterprise-wide alignment which includes 3-dimensional elements such view, scope, and perspective based on enterprise architecture. Finally, we have shown that the proposed model is better than existing ones through comparing the characteristics of models.
Functional Requirements about CASE Tools for Component Based Development and a Development Management Tool

CASE tools supporting component based development should include functions for modeling, project management, and supporting other phases activities of the development process. Functional requirements of CASE tools supporting component based development are proposed in this paper. Required functions are identified by analyzing the existing CBD CASE tool, and are categorized into modeling, project management, and supporting other phases activities.

Class extraction of object or component based software development methodology is the major factor for software quality. Each method has the class definition and extraction method however there are some troubles when the beginners try. Especially, the conceptual gap results to make the class extraction hard. This research suggests three diagrams to support it. They are Information diagram, Behavio diagram and Management diagram. They specify which services a stakeholder wants, which information to support the service, which actions to solve the service and who has the responsibility for those. Any analysis process which takes class extraction can utilize these diagrams.
An Empirical Study for Performance Evaluation of Web Personalization Assistant Systems

At this time, the two main techniques for achieving web personalization assistant systems generally concern direct manipulation and software agents. While both direct manipulation and software agents are intended for permitting user to complete tasks rapidly, efficiently, and easily, their methodologies are different. The central debate involving these web personalization techniques originates from the amount of control that each allows to, or holds back from, the users. Direct manipulation can provide users with comprehensibel, predictable and controllable user interfaces that give them a feeling of accomplishnent and responsibility. On the other hand, the intelligent software components, the agents, can assist users with artificial intelligence by monitoring or retrieving personal histories or behaviors. In this empirical study, two web personalization assistant systems are evaluated. One of them, WebPersonalizer, is an agent based user personalization tool; the other, AntWorld, is a collaborative recommendation tool which provides direct manipulation interfaces. Through this empirical study, we have focused on two different paradigms as web personalization assistant systems : direct manipulation and software agents. Each approach has its own advantages and disadvantages. We also provide the experimental result that is worth referring for developers of electronic commerce system and suggest the methodologies for conveniently retrieving necessary information based on their personal needs.
Information Quality Satisfaction of Web Site User

This study involves the test of constructs for measuring the web site user expectation, perceived performance regarding IQ, expectation congruency, and satisfaction about influence overall satisfaction. The findings can be summarized as follows. First, Web-IQ expectation appeared to have a positive effect on Web-IQ perceived performance by expectation congruency and a positive effect on perceived performance by assimilation effect. Second, Web-IQ expectation did bot appear to have a negative effect on Web-IQ expectation congruency. Although that was rejected, it differs from established researches. Some prior Web-IQ expectations that approach to congruency after one's post Web-IQ expectation. Third, Web-IQ perceived performance appeared to have a positive effect on Web-IQ expectation congruency. Fourth, result that analyze about effect that congruency gets to Web-IQ satisfaction although Web-IQ expectation appeared to have a positive effect on overall satisfaction.
A Study on the Design and Development of eCRM Using Financial Goods Recommendation Expert System

In banking industry, as competition of retail finance is intensive, there appeared eCRM which is a kind of marketing strategy, not only screening good customers but also doing one-to-one marketing for improving customer royalty and satisfaction of goods and service of bank. The strategic importance of eCRM is increasing more and more. We studied bank to use the advantage of expert system and eCRM. The expert system is used as a tool to analyze eCRM. In this paper, first, we presented an eCRM system architecture using expert systems in banking business. Secondly, a bank financial goods recommendation system using expert system is designed and developed. Customers will receive the good quality financial services from the expert system and banks also will acquire the good quality customer data from the expert system.
Design and Implementation of Supply Chain Management System Using XML/EDI in Automibile Industry

SCM is one of the important key issues in Internet-based business environment. Most of companies related to B2B electronic commerce are making their efforts to innovate their existing business process into new integrated supply chain process. SCM system using XML/EDI provides competitive advantage to them by reshaping the relationship between traditional trading partners. This study intends to suggest a prototype of SCM system using XML/EDI. To implement SCM system, we analyze and design the supply chain process by using Unified Modeling Language, with a firm engaged in Korean automobile industry, which is a first vendor to produce a set of LAMP. The implementation of SCM system using UML shows excellent performance in software reuse, extensibility, and the interoperability with corporate internal information systems.
A Study on the Application Method of Digital Signature to International e-Trade over the Internet

With the expansion of internet usage and the advanced technology for information and communication, the international e-Trade environment gradually migrates from the VAN/EDI to the global Internet-based e-Traed on an ebXML framework. In an effort to provide a Internet-based e-Trade environment with a security and trust, this paper analyzes security components and proposed the SSL and ebXML security technologies in order to assure of the trust and security over Internet-based e-Trade. In addition, this paper presents 3-phase methodology to realize the secure and trustworthy Internet-based e-Trade. In summary, as the first phase, the e-Trade business processes are re-engineered and the digital signature council for mutual recognition is orgainzed. And as the second phase, the Internet-based e-Trade system and the concerned digital signature technology are implemented. Finally as third phase, the PKI mutual recognition agreement is signed by parties concerned and then the Internet-based e-trade business is started. Furthermore, this paper presents the promising Internet-based e-Trade models where the digital signature can be applied.
Analysis and Modeling of Semantic Relationships in e-Catalog Domain

Building a domain-suited ontology, as a means to implement the Semantic Web, is widely believed to offer users the benefit of exploiting the semantic knowledge constrained in the application. Electronic Catalog, shortly e-Catalog, manages the information about the goods or conditions play an important role in e-commerce domain. Consequently, semantically enriched yet precise information by the ontology may elaborate the business transactions. In this paper, we analyze the semantic relationships embodied within the catalog domain, as the first step towards the ontological modeling of e-catalog. Exploring ontology should leverage not only the representation of semantic knowledge but also provide the inferencing capability for the model. We employ the EER(extended Entity Relationships) for the basic model. Each modeling construct can be directly translated by DL(Description Logics). Semantic constraints that can be hardly represented in EER are directly modeled in DL.
A Study on Integrating UDDI and ebXML Registry Using Ontologies

ebXML and Web Services provide UDDI and ebXML registry for storing and managing the business and Service information of companies, respectively. Recently, W3C have released the OWL(Web Ontology Language) to Recommendation, and OWL-S proposed to describe the semantics of Web Services using the OWL ontologies. In this paper, we compared the OWL-S with the registry information model(RIM) of ebXML and the data structure of UDDI, and directly connect ones, which that of ebXML similar to that of UDDI; we extend the structure of the OWL to connect the rests. Consequently, our system enables to construct the ontologies of services and discover their semantics by using the information stored in the registries, and tintegrate UDDI, ebXML registry and OWL-S registry. By using the extending OWL-S documents in our system, agents can utilize for the semantic matchmaking.
A Load Based Weight Multicasting Technique Design for efficient Multimedia Contents Delivery

The purpose of multimedia contents transmission is to resolve the large size and nonformal issues. Various multicasting technologies have been researched to support these issues. This paper suggests a technique to build multicast routing for safe and reliable transmission of multimedia contents. Network server nodes have their own weight with respect to communication loads. The weight is computed by a server's communication load with others. This suggests low delay routing with two or more edge server of content delivery network. We will show the weighted inter-server routing technique and analyze the network performance improvement caused by lower network traffic and delay.
