A Model to Estimate Software Development Effort Based on COSMIC-FFP Using System Complexity

It is very important to forecast a back resource of a software development effort at the early stage of development life cycle for successful project processing, and it is carried out through software size estimation. The recent trend of software size estimation method is focused on the user's value such as FPA. We measure the actual development effort through case study and calculate CFP directly according to the cosmic-ffp manual V.3.0. in this paper. We also propose the software development effort estimation model by using the produced data. COSMIC-FFP does not use weights of necessary function elements, and so it has disadvantage in estimating sizes. This paper proposes the estimation model to estimate the precision software size by using system complexity as weight.

Vocabulary recognition error correction method has probabilistic pattern matting and dynamic pattern matting. In it's a sentences to based on key-word by semantic analysis. Therefore it has problem with key-word not semantic analysis for morphological changes shape. Recognition rate improve of vocabulary unrecognized reduced this paper is propose. In syllable restoration algorithm find out semantic of a phoneme recognized by a phoneme semantic analysis process. Using to sentences restoration that morphological analysis and morphological analysis. Find out error correction rate using phoneme likelihood and confidence for system parse. When vocabulary recognition perform error correction for error proved vocabulary. system performance comparison as a result of recognition improve represent 2.0% by method using error pattern learning and error pattern matting, vocabulary mean pattern base on method.
Service based Disk I/O Control supporting Predictable I/O Bandwidth

In the case that multiple services are in race condition for limited I/O resource, the services or processes with lower priority occasionally occupy most of limited I/O resource. And it decreases QoS and performance of important services and makes it difficult to efficiently use limited I/O resource. Although system administrator allocates I/O resource according to priority of process, he/she can't know or expect how much resource will be used by the specific process. Due to these reasons, it causes the problem that he/she can't guarantee the service QoS and performance stability. Therefore, in this paper, we propose service based disk I/O control supporting predictable I/O bandwidth to resolve upper problems. Proposed I/O control guarantees the service QoS and performance stability by supporting the service based predictable I/O bandwidth and it makes limited I/O resource to be efficiently used in respect of service.
An Efficient 3-D Deinterlacing Algorithm by Detecting Accurate Motions Using Adaptive-Thresholded Values

This paper proposes a motion-adaptive 3-D deinterlacing algorithm based on an adaptive-thresholded motion detection and an interpolation method using binary patterns to compensate motion missing and false motion errors. For efficient motion detection, we adaptively decided a threshold value according to the complexity of image. Many edge-based interpolation algorithms have been proposed to improve the subjective quality. Recently, to efficiently interpolate low angle edge and line, a method using predefined binary patterns has been proposed. In this paper, we propose an improved method by modifying the binary patterns. Simulation results have shown that the proposed method provides better performance than the existing methods.
A Fast MSRCR Algorithm Using Hierarchical Discrete Correlation

This paper presents an improved fast MSRCR algorithm that MSRs are commonly adopted at tone mapping in color vision. Conventional MSRs consist of three SSRs, which use three Gaussian functions with different scales as those surround ones. This convolution processes require much computation load. Therefore, the proposed algorithm adopts a hierarchical discrete correlation which is equivalent to Gaussian function and the Retinex process is only applied to the luminance channel in order to get a fast processing. A simple color preservation scheme is applied to the Retinex output from the luminance channel in the proposed MSRCR algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm required less number of oprations and computation time about 1/9.5 and 1/3.5 times, respectively, than those of the simplest MSR and was equivalent to conventional MSRs.
Hand posture recognition robust to rotation using temporal correlation between adjacent frames

Recently, there is an increasing need for developing the technique of Hand Gesture Recognition (HGR), for vision based interface. Since hand gesture is defined as consecutive change of hand posture, developing the algorithm of Hand Posture Recognition (HPR) is required. Among the factors that decrease the performance of HPR, we focus on rotation factor. To achieve rotation invariant HPR, we propose a method that uses the property of video that adjacent frames in video have high correlation, considering the environment of HGR. The proposed method introduces template update of object tracking using the above mentioned property, which is different from previous works based on still images. To compare our proposed method with previous methods such as template matching, PCA and LBP, we performed experiments with video that has hand rotation. The accuracy rate of the proposed method is 22.7%, 14.5%, 10.7% and 4.3% higher than ordinary template matching, template matching using KL-Transform, PCA and LBP, respectively.
Development of an HTM Network Training System for Recognition of Molding Parts

It is necessary to develop a system to judge inferiority of goods to minimize the loss at small factories in which produces various kinds of goods with small amounts. That system can be developed based on HTM theory. HTM is a model to apply the operation principles of the neocortex in human brain to the machine learning. We have to build the trained HTM network to use the HTM-based machine learning system. It requires the knowledge for the HTM theory. This paper presents the design and implementation of the training system to support the development of HTM networks which recognize the molding parts to judge its badness. This training system allows field technicians to train the HTM network with high accuracy without the knowledge of the HTM theory. It also can be applied to any kind of the HTM-based judging systems for molding parts.
Energy Efficient Data Transmission Algorithms in 2D and 3D Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

Underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSN) need stable efficient data transmission methods because of environmental characteristics such as limited energy resource, limited communication bandwidth, variable propagation delay and so on. In this paper, we explain an enhanced hybrid transmission method that uses a hexagon tessellation with an ideal cell size in a two-dimensional underwater wireless sensor network model (2D) that consists of fixed position sensors on the bottom of the ocean. We also propose an energy efficient sensing and communication coverage method for effective data transmission in a three-dimensional underwater wireless sensor network model (3D) that equips anchored sensors on the bottom of the ocean. Our simulation results show that proposed methods are more energy efficient than the existing methods for each model.
Packet scheduling algorithm of increasing of fairness according to traffic characteristics in HSDPA

In this paper, we propose a packet scheduling algorithm that assigns different number of HS-PDSCH(High Speed Primary Downlink Shared Channel) to the service user according to the received signal to interference ratio of CPICH(Common Pilot Channel) and to the traffic characteristics. Assigned channel number is determined by the signal to interference ratio level from CPICH. The highest signal to interference ratio user gets the number of channels based on the signal to interference ratio table and the remained channels are assigned to the other level users. Therefore the proposed scheme can provide the similar maximum service throughput and higher fairness than existing scheduling algorithm. Simulation results show that our algorithm can provide the similar maximum service throughput and higher fairness than MAX C/I algorithm and can also support the higher service throughput than proportional fairness scheme.
Pre-qualification based Application Contents Management Method for Smartphone

Application contents verifications and operations are essential for using a secure smart phone environment. In the existing smartphone environment, application verification was performed only in the application company and users has direct management application. However these application verification and management practices have been caused by a variety of security vulnerabilities. Therefore, we will analyze the security vulnerabilities in the existing methods and then we propose an application contents management of smart phone using pre-qualification method.
A Design of Safe AKA Module for Adapted Mobile Payment System on Openness SMART Phone Environment

The USIM-based AKA authentication process is essential to a mobile payment system on smart phone environment. In this paper a payment protocol and an AKA module are designed for mobile payment system which is suitable for openness smart phone environment. The payment protocol designs the cross authentication among components of the mobile payment system to improve the reliability of the components. The AKA module of mobile payment system based on 3GPP-AKA protocol prevents the exposure of IMSI by creating the SSK(Shared Secure Key) through advance registration and solves the SQN(SeQuence Number) synchronization problem by using timestamp. Also, by using the SSK instead of authentication vector between SN and authentication center, the existing bandwidth
bit between them is reduced to
bit. It creates CK and IK which are message encryption key by using OT-SSK(One-Time SSK) between MS and SN. In addition, creating the new OT-SSK whenever MS is connected to SN, it prevents the data replay attack.
Automatic Liver Segmentation Method on MR Images using Normalized Gradient Magnitude Image

In this paper, we propose a fast liver segmentation method from magnetic resonance(MR) images. Our method efficiently divides a MR image into a set of discrete objects, and boundaries based on the normalized gradient magnitude information. Then, the objects belonging to the liver are detected by using 2D seeded region growing with seed points, which are extracted from the segmented liver region of the slice immediately above or below the current slice. Finally, rolling ball algorithm, and connected component analysis minimizes false positive error near the liver boundaries. Our method was validated by twenty data sets and the results were compared with the manually segmented result. The average volumetric overlap error was 5.2%, and average absolute volumetric measurement error was 1.9%. The average processing time for segmenting one data set was about three seconds. Our method could be used for computer-aided liver diagnosis, which requires a fast and accurate segmentation of liver.
The Symbolic Realization of Desire Pursuing "Object A"

Identity is established by the interaction of consciousness and unconsciousness. The desire of the identity continuously gets generated and changes through this process. However, the conscious identity does not identify the clear substance of the desire. The reason is that the pure desire of unconsciousness has nothing to do with the order of 'The Symbolic', which is the area of language and law, and it only pursues the pure desire. The desire of unconsciousness, which had been examined by the consciousness and superego and subsequently got rejected in 'The Symbolic', can produce endless desire on the stage of fantasy called film, exposing the gap of The Real. This research analyzes the psychoanalytic communication between film and audience by way of the films, in which the desire is conceived by the cause of the desire 'object A', the identities pursuing the desire and the dialectic reproducing process of another desire are symbolically exposed and realized.
A Study on Virtual Assembly Simulation Using Virtual Reality Technology

Although a hand haptic interaction which provides direct and natural sensation is the most natural way of interacting with VR environment, the hand haptic interaction has still limitations with respect to the complexity of articulated hand and related hardware capabilities. Particularly, virtual assembly simulation which refers to the verification process of digital mockup in product development lifecycle is one of the most challenging topics in virtual reality applications. However, hand haptic interaction is considered as a big obstacle, because difficulty initial grasping and non-dextrous manipulation remain as unsolved problems. In this paper, we propose that common hand haptic interactions involves two separate stages with different aspects. We present the hand haptic interaction method enables us to stably grasp a virtual object at initial grasping and delicately manipulate an object at task operating by one's intention. Therefore, proposed method provides the robustness using grasping quality and dextrous manipulation using physically simulation. We conducted experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed method under different display environments -monoscopic and stereoscopic. From 2-way ANOVA test, we show that the proposed method satisfies two aspects of hand haptic interaction. Finally, we demonstrated an actual application of various assembly simulation for relatively complex models.
A Study on the Timbre of Pyeon-gyoung

Pyeon-gyeong, similar to Chinese Bianqing, is a Korean traditional lithophone with multiple stone chimes. Due to the temperature- and humidity-insensitive characteristics of its material, pumice stone, the instrument provides highly stable pitch and therefore has played a key role in Korean traditional court music. By reason of having absolute pitch, it is an important part of the research on the standard pitch and scale system of korean traditional music, but as an instrument, the study on the sound characteristics and worth is not making satisfactory progress, to date. This research is an analysis paper for physical modeling synthesis of pyeongyeong. Through this study, we will determine the original characteristics of the timbre of pyeongyeong as a unique korean traditional percussion, and investigate these characteristics objectively, based on the music acoustics by scientific analysis. Furthermore, this study will be used as an important basic material for physical modeling synthesis of pyeongyeong, and also make a huge contribution to the cultural applicability by the vitalization of graft onto the various artistic creation field, through the comprehension of the timbre of pyeongyeong as an instrument.
