A Visualization Method of High Definition Weather Radar Information for various GIS Platforms

According to development of weather radar, researches about observation, analysis or forecast of weather phenomena such as tornado, flash-flood etc. were encouraged by reducing frequency interferences, transmission noises, attenuations of radar signal. In contrast, there is a growing interest in the visualization and expression methods for weather radar data but weather radar manufacturers or the organs of government for weather are just busy interpreting expressed weather images projected on GIS. We propose an effective high definition weather radar information visualization method able to apply various GIS platforms to observe and take actions against rapid local weather changes effectively. In this paper, first we change information acquired from weather radar to raster or vector type high definition data structures using specific algorithms. And then, we quadrate our processed raster/vector type weather data with various GIS platforms accurately to make observers can recognize and check weather situations over exact geographical positions and elevations intuitively. Experimental results verify that our method make observers can recognize and analyze weather changes, tornados, local downpours or flash floods accurately by analyzing high definition weather radar data combined with GIS platform including detailed target locations and elevations.
An Image Contrast Enhancement Method based on Pyramid Fusion Using BBWE and MHMD

The contrast enhancement techniques based on Laplacian pyramid image fusion have a benefit that they can faithfully describe the image information because they combine the multiple resource images by selecting the desired pixel in each image. However, they also have some problem that the output image may contain noise, because the methods evaluate the visual information on the basis of each pixel. In this paper, an improved contrast enhancement method, which effectively suppresses the noise, using image fusion is proposed. The proposed method combines the resource images by making Laplacian pyramids generated from weight maps, which are produced by measuring the difference between the block-based local well exposedness and local homogeneity for each resource image. We showed the proposed method could produce less noisy images compared to the conventional techniques in the test for various images.
Real-time Zoom Tracking for DM36x-based IP Network Camera

Zoom tracking involves the automatic adjustment of the focus motor in response to the zoom motor movements for the purpose of keeping an object of interest in focus, and is typically achieved by moving the zoom and focus motors in a zoom lens module so as to follow the so-called "trace curve", which shows the in-focus motor positions versus the zoom motor positions for a specific object distance. Thus, one can simply implement zoom tracking by following the most closest trace curve after all the trace curve data are stored in memory. However, this approach is often prohibitive in practical implementation because of its large memory requirement. Many other zoom tracking methods such as GZT, AZT and etc. have been proposed to avoid large memory requirement but with a deteriorated performance. In this paper, we propose a new zoom tracking method called 'Approximate Feedback Zoom Tracking method (AFZT)' on DM36x-based IP network camera, which does not need large memory by approximating nearby trace curves, but generates better zoom tracking accuracy than GZT or AZT by utilizing focus value as feedback information. Experiments through real implementation shows the proposed zoom tracking method improves the tracking performance and works in real-time.
A Real-time Audio Surveillance System Detecting and Localizing Dangerous Sounds for PTZ Camera Surveillance

In this paper, we propose an audio surveillance system which can detect and localize dangerous sounds in real-time. The location information about dangerous sounds can render a PTZ camera to be directed so as to catch a snapshot image about the dangerous sound source area and send it to clients instantly. The proposed audio surveillance system firstly detects foreground sounds based on adaptive Gaussian mixture background sound model, and classifies it into one of pre-trained classes of foreground dangerous sounds. For detected dangerous sounds, a sound source localization algorithm based on Dual delay-line algorithm is applied to localize the sound sources. Finally, the proposed system renders a PTZ camera to be oriented towards the dangerous sound source region, and take a snapshot against over the sound source region. Experiment results show that the proposed system can detect foreground dangerous sounds stably and classifies the detected foreground dangerous sounds into correct classes with a precision of 79% while the sound source localization can estimate orientation of the sound source with acceptably small error.
Analysis of the Robustness and Discrimination for Video Fingerprints in Video Copy Detection

In order to prevent illegal video copies, many video fingerprints have been developed. Video fingerprints should be robust from various video transformations and have high discriminative powers. In general, video fingerprints are generated from three feature spaces such as luminance, gradient, and DCT coefficients. However, there is a few study for the robustness and discrimination according to feature spaces. Thus, we analyzed the property of each feature space by video copy detion task with the robustness and the discrimination of video fingerprints. We generated three video fingerprints from these feature spaces using a same algorithm. In our test, a video fingerprint. based on DCT coefficient outperformed others because the discrimination of it was higher.
Interval Hough Transform For Prominent Line Detection

The prominent line at the singe image is the important fact for understanding spatial structure or estimating aesthetic scoring. According to this thesis, the abstraction of the background line helps analyzing vanishing point, reconstitution of 3 dimensions, and determining of image sloppiness. It also makes easy to calculate the rule of thirds. This thesis is composed of section hough transform mapping, prioritizing of the prominent line, and selection of the prominent line. These technologies are departmentalized to be applied abstraction of traffic lane, analyzing of building structure, abstraction of vanishing point, and abstraction of straight line documentation. This gives the choice that users are able to compose technology by considering characteristic of objects and luminous environment. This thesis also can be applied to abstract circle. The interval hough transform is able to select the number of prominent line which users want to abstract. It can analyze important prominent line numbers at the image and then abstract the lines, too. Results of prominent lines by experiments would be show at this thesis.
Design and Implementation of the Extraction Mashup for Reported Disaster Information on SNSs

The quick report and propagate information are increasingly important because nowadays it is hard to predict the damages of flooding by unexpected heavy rain. In addition, there are not many ways to receive disaster information in real time. Accordingly, we designed the system which can earn information from a lot of messages on twitter. Above all, our system can extract and deploy disaster information by comparison with erstwhile social network service mash-up system as only broadcast media. Significant objective of this paper is to design the fastest extract disaster information system of mass media.
Tag Ranking System based on Semantic Similarity of Tag-pair

The existing tag based system deducts a retrieval result with low accuracy through the usage of a single tag matching by using tags tagged in contents. And the system doesn't provide effectively contents related information which the tags have, as the users place tags on contents without considering the priority and associative relation between tags. For a solve of above problems, this paper suggests a tag ranking system which extracts semantic similarity between tags and re-ranks the tags tagged in contents. In order to evaluate the performance of suggested system, this paper experiments and compares the ranking result of this paper's tag ranking system with the result of baseline method using tags tagged in images and frequency method adapting tag co-appearance frequency.
A Study on Comparison Analysis of the System Quality Factors between Korea and China Shopping mall Websites

This paper mainly focuses on the system quality factors of a website targeted at shopping mall websites in China and Korea. We categorized six system quality factors and formulated hypotheses regarding how those six factors are different. We also conducted an empirical study to verify hypotheses. Statistical data for an empirical study targeted at undergraduate students in Korea and China, having filled in a questionnaire. Reliability of the collected data was measured, and a T-test of the established hypotheses was carried out. The following describes the results that were found. While the shopping mall websites of two countries showed a difference in terms of quick transition of the web pages or images, ease of use, reliability, and accessibility, they did not show the difference in term of accuracy and the short cut function. We analyzed the causes of the verified results and suggested a strategy to implement the effective shopping mall web sites.
Lighting Control using Frequency Analysis of Music

Music affects sensitivity and emotion of human, emotional power of the music has been applied to various fields. Especially, to visualize as well as listen to music is able to create various atmosphere. In this paper, we proposed sensitivity control system for interaction with people to merge music and lighting. Because existing FT(Fourier Transform) has not information about the time, to analyze information of changed signal according to the time is difficult. In order to solve such a problem, we use STFT(Short Time Fourier Transform) method to analyze music signal. and also, we classified music for three genre and compared the frequency characteristics according to genre, and control the color, brightness of LED light based on the frequency components within analysis range. Unlike existing LED lighting control study using music, we had color control of emotional lighting and brightness control using variation amount of music signal in this paper. Proposed lighting control system will be able to utilize various industry fields as well as emotional lighting.
Face Recognition Based on Improved Fuzzy RBF Neural Network for Smar t Device

Face recognition is a science of automatically identifying individuals based their unique facial features. In order to avoid overfitting and reduce the computational reduce the computational burden, a new face recognition algorithm using PCA-fisher linear discriminant (PCA-FLD) and fuzzy radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) is proposed in this paper. First, face features are extracted by the principal component analysis (PCA) method. Then, the extracted features are further processed by the Fisher's linear discriminant technique to acquire lower-dimensional discriminant patterns, the processed features will be considered as the input of the fuzzy RBFNN. As a widely applied algorithm in fuzzy RBF neural network, BP learning algorithm has the low rate of convergence, therefore, an improved learning algorithm based on Levenberg-Marquart (L-M) for fuzzy RBF neural network is introduced in this paper, which combined the Gradient Descent algorithm with the Gauss-Newton algorithm. Experimental results on the ORL face database demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has satisfactory performance and high recognition rate.

Disney Animation has showed not only artistic excellence but also technological innovations through a lot of animation films that they released. Especially with the unique concept that free-willed game characters dive into different worlds of games in animation film,
received both critical and commercial acclaim for its stunning visuals and outstanding CG (computer graphics) effects. The purpose of this study is to analyze different styles of game worlds, Disney's layout pipeline, and in-house camera capture system used in
. This paper analyzes that three game worlds in this film such as Fix-It Felix Jr., Sugar Rush, and Hero's Duty express different styles by using appropriate character animation and camera movements. Especially Hero's Duty game which new in-house camera capture system is extensively used maximizes unseen visuals by perfectly making realistic and believable game world. Disney's newly developed in-house camera capture system, which is used in this film for the first time, allows real camera's motion and shake and real-time camera's movement and correction within animation set. Result of this study proves that this system improves directing of feature animation and enhance efficiency of the layout department's production process. Therefore, it contributes to a great extent to development of animation films' business.
