A Method of Defense and Security Threats in U-Healthcare Service

The fast-paced development in the field of U-Healthcare, which is available anytime and anywhere, is being underway in accordance with the development of IT technology. U-Healthcare technology has various security threats because it is based on network. The purpose of this paper is to examine the threats of DOS / DDOS attacks based on network attacks, and to propose the response technique that fit the situation of the U-Healthcare service by modifying the existing Detecting Early DOS / DDOS attacks through Packet Counting.
Smart Paradox: An Effect of Mobile Instant Messengers

The mobile instant messengers could change the lives of average citizens as much as did the telephone in the early part of the 20th century and television in the 1950s and 1960s. Researchers are debating whether the mobile instant messengers are improving or harming participation in community life and social relationships. For this study, 155 participants in two universities completed questionnaires pertaining to their own mobile instant messengers use and feelings of loneliness. We used survey data to examine the effects of the mobile instant messengers on social involvement and psychological well-being. In this sample, the mobile instant messengers were used extensively for communication. Results suggest that greater use of the mobile instant messengers were associated with declines in participants' communication with the people around which in turn increases their loneliness. These findings have implications for research and for the design of technology.
Interactive image segmentation for ultrasound vascular imaging

Image segmentation for object to extract data from ultrasound acquired is an essential preprocessing step for the effective diagnosis. Various image segmentation methods have been studied. In this study, interactive image segmentation method by graph cut algorithm is proposed to develop a variety of applications of vascular ultrasound imaging and diagnostics. General imaging and vascular ultrasound imaging segmentation by entering constrain condition such as foreground and background. In the future it will be able to develop new ultrasound diagnostics.
Acute Cerebrovascular Accident in Korea

The aim of this study is to reveal the right approach and prognosis of cerebrovascular accident (CVA) by reviewing the various researches on CVAs. The reviews were done by BNBI PubMed, KMBase, RISS, and KoreaMed. Based on the articles, prevalence rate of CVA, prehospital CVA patients assessment and emergency care, and in-hospital care were analyzed. The most important scales are Cincinnati prehospital stroke scale(CPSS) and Los Angeles prehospital stroke screen(LAPSS). These two scales are the basic assessment tools for CVAs and it is necessary to perform the emergency care by way of these scales.
Production of Window Motor Assembly Parts in Automotive Body

Power window motor assembly including ECU system is important to doors of automobile. This study is done for own development instead of importing of power window motor assembly. This paper is written under five specific subjects. The first, making of prototype sample and analysis of mass-production problem using CAE, the second, design of mass-production mold(2D and 3D), the third, manufacturing of sample mold, the fourth, tryout and measuring of 3 dimensions, the fifth, data analysis and mold modify. In the among them, product sample and analysis of mass-production using CAE, design and manufacture of mass-production mold, and production of sample mold are successfully done. In the results, it is made clear that two cavity and one gate are proper to make a mold of power window motor assembly housing. Besides, it is acquired own technology for mass-production of power window motor.
Mathematical Model for Dynamic Performance Analysis of Multi-Wheel Vehicle

In this study, a simulation program is developed in order to investigate non steady-state cornering performance of 6WD/6WS special-purpose vehicles. 6WD vehicles are believed to have good performance on off-the-road maneuvering and to have fail-safe capabilities. But the cornering performances of 6WS vehicles are not well understood in the related literature. In this paper, 6WD/6WS vehicles are modeled as a 18 DOF system which includes non-linear vehicle dynamics, tire models, and kinematic effects. Then the vehicle model is constructed into a simulation program using the MATLAB/SIMULINK so that input/output and vehicle parameters can be changed easily with the modulated approach. Cornering performance of the 6WS vehicle is analyzed for brake steering and pivoting, respectively. Simulation results show that cornering performance depends on the middle-wheel steering as well as front/rear wheel steering. In addition, a new 6WS control law is proposed in order to minimize the sideslip angle. Lane change simulation results demonstrate the advantage of 6WS vehicles with the proposed control law.
