Simplified Load Calculation and Structural Test for Scale Down Model of Small Wind Turbine Blade according to IEC 61400-2

This study deals with simplified load calculation and structural testing for scale down model of small wind turbine blade. First, the blade was designed and produced scale down to 0.2 ratio of initial blade. And moments were acquired by simplified load calculation equations according to IEC 61400-2 standard. Also, structural test using weight was conducted to obtain the maximum moment. Therefore maximum moments were compared at calculation and test.
The Effect of Service Provider Nonverbal Attributes on Customer Evaluation in Service Recovery Stage

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of service provider nonverbal attributes on customer evaluation in service recovery stage. Results showed that first, the better kinesics of service provider, the more satisfaction in service recovery stage. Second, the better service providers have physical appearance, the more revisit intention. But both the kinesics and physical appearance have not an effect on recommendation intention. This paper discussed theoretical and practical focusing on nonverbal attributes of service providers.
Authentication Scheme using Biometrics in Intelligent Vehicle Network

Studies on the intelligent vehicles that are fused with IT and intelligent vehicle technologies are currently under active discussion. And many new service models for them are being developed. As intelligent vehicles are being actively developed, a variety of wireless services are support. As such intelligent vehicles use wireless network, they are exposed to the diverse sources of security risk. This paper aims to examine the factors to threaten intelligent vehicle, which are usually intruded through network system and propose the security solution using biometric authentication technique. The proposed security system employs biometric authentication technique model that can distinguish the physical characteristics of user.
Design of Computer Hardware Fault Detector using ROM BIOS

Currently almost people use a personal computer for various purpose. But some people are not familiar to computer system. If they see only black screen on the monitor when they turn on the computer power, they can not recognize whether it is hardware or software faults. So, in this paper is aimed to develop the module of computer hardware fault detecter using ROM BIOS before OS booting. This module use PCI interface with mother board of computer. Before os booting, it can get the ROM BIOS memory by interrupt and show what hardware is fault according to the predefined memory content of BIOS.
Algorithm of Decoding the Base 256 mode in Two-Dimensional Data Matrix Barcode

Conventional bar code has the appearance of line bars and spaces, called as one-dimensional bar code. In contrast, the information in two-dimensional bar code is represented by either a small, rectangular or square with the types of mosaic and Braille. The two-dimensional bar code is much more efficient than one-dimensional bar code because it can allow to store and express large amounts of data in a small space and so far there is also a little information about decoding the Data Matrix in base 256 mode. According to the ISO international standards, there are four kinds of bar code: QR code, Data Matrix, PDF417, and Maxi code. In this paper, among them, we focus on describing the basic concepts of Data Matrix in base 256 mode, how to encode and decode them, and how to organize them in detail. In addition, Data Matrix can be organized efficiently depending on the modes of numeric, alphanumeric characters, and binary system and expecially, we focus on describing how to decode the Data Matrix code by four modes.
Grouping DNA sequences with similarity measure and application

Grouping problem with similarities between DNA sequences are studied. The similaritymeasure and the distance measure showed the complementary characteristics. Distance measure can be obtained by complementing similarity measure, and vice versa. Similarity measure is derived and proved. Usefulness of the proposed similarity measure is applied to grouping problem of 25 cockroach DNA sequences. By calculation of DNA similarity, 25 cockroaches are clustered by four groups, and the results are compared with the previous neighbor-joining method.
Adaptive Model Predictive Control for SI Engines Fuel Injection System

This paper presents a model predictive control (MPC) based on a neural network (NN) model for air/fuel ration (AFR) control of automotive engines. The novelty of the paper is that the severe nonlinearity of the engine dynamics are modelled by a NN to a high precision, and adaptation of the NN model can cope with system uncertainty and time varying effects. A single dimensional optimization algorithm is used in the paper to speed up the optimization so that it can be implemented to the engine fast dynamics. Simulations on a widely used mean value engine model (MVEM) demonstrate effectiveness of the developed method.
