A Study on the Effect of Fair Value Hierarchy upon Cost of Capital Through the Convergence of Market Risk Management and Audit Quality
Oh, Hyun-Taek ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 5, 2015, Pages 1~8
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.5.001
The data of fair value hierarchy is expected to contain different degree of measurement error, information asymmetry, and information risk by the level of hierarchy. Thus, this study examines how hierarchy of fair value discriminately influences on companies` cost of capital. Through regression analysis of corporations listed from 2011 to 2014, it turns out that the regression coefficient of level 1 and 2 of fair value variable vary their rank by cost of capital types, while level 3 contains the highest regression coefficient for every cost of capital variable. In addition, further study of how the relevance between cost of capital and the fair value hierarchy gets affected by market risk management level and audit quality finds no consistent results. However, by analyzing the effect of coincident interaction through the convergence of market risk management and audit quality, when audit quality and market risk management level are high, the effect of relieving cost of capital of Level 3 gets the highest. In conclusion, fair value hierarchy data seems to affect discriminately on cost of capital by involved information risk, and the information risk could decrease by the level of market risk management and audit quality.

Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 5, 2015, Pages 123~130
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.5.123
This study examines the effects of different types of bridge exercises on the thickness of trunk muscles through ultrasound fusion imaging on 32 students. The thickness of the internal oblique (IO), external oblique (EO), transverse abdominis (TrA), and multifidus (Mf) muscles were measured in three different bridge exercises. The exercises included a supine bridge exercise, which was performed on a fixed support surface (Exercise A), a gym ball bridge exercise (Exercise B), and a sling bridge exercise (Exercise C). There were significant differences among the three bridge exercises in the IO, TrA, and Mf muscles. The IO was thickest in Exercise B followed by Exercise A and C. In contrast, the TrA and the Mf muscles were thickest in Exercise C followed by Exercise A and B. Therefore, the sling bridge exercise may be a more effective method of enhancing trunk muscle thickness than the exercises performed in other positions. Until recently, no previous studies had observed substantial changes in muscle thickness using ultrasound fusion imaging. This study suggests that sling bridge exercises contribute most to the activation of trunk muscles. Therefore, the research can contribute to the prescription and application of bridge exercises in clinical practices.

A Fuzzy Linear Programming Problem with Fuzzy Convergent Equality Constraints
Oh, Se-Ho ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 5, 2015, Pages 227~232
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.5.227
The fuzzy linear programming(FLP) is the useful approach to many real world problems under uncertainty. This paper deals with a FLP whose objective value is fuzzy. And the right hand sides of convergent equality constraints are fuzzy numbers. We assume that the membership function of the objective value is piecewise linear and those of the right hand side are trapezoidal. Each of these trapezoidal functions can be algebraically replaced with three linear functions. Then the FLP problem is transformed into the Zimmermann`s symmetric model. The fuzzy solution based on the max-min rule can be obtained by solving the crisp linear programming problem derived from the symmetric model. A numerical example has illustrated our approach. The application of our approach to the inconsistent linear system can enable generate us to get define the useful and flexible inexact solutions within acceptable tolerance. Further research is required to generalize the membership function.

Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 5, 2015, Pages 233~240
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.5.233
In this paper, we present an algorithm that estimates the speed of a moving object only using its sound information. In general, the speed gun projects the incident light onto a moving object and measures the frequency variation of the scattered light. Then the speed is measured by this frequency difference. In our study, instead of light information, we measure the speed by sound frequency difference when the object is coming and moving away. In our experiments on the speed measurement, on average the error of 6.08% was obtained. Utilizing this algorithm for smart device, we can measure the speed of a moving object without sensor that measures the frequency of the light.

Kim, Young-Ho ; Lim, Joong-Soo ; Chae, Gyoo-Soo ; Kim, Kichul ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 5, 2015, Pages 249~255
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.5.249
In this paper, we present an azimuth error analysis for the correlative interferometer direction finding. The correlative interferometer is a direction finding method that compares the theoretical and measured phase differences. The direction of the radio transmitter can be estimated by obtaining the maximum correlation between two data sets. We used a 5-element circular array antennas arranged in a circle. To derive the correlation function between antenna elements, we assume that the incident plane wave arrives from a certain angle and the phase difference of each antenna can be derived by comparing with the reference. The suggested direction finding gives a relatively accurate result even if the radio transmitter is located in the higher altitude.
