Park, Jong-Hun ; Lee, Gang-Seong ; Lee, Sang-Hun ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 6, 2015, Pages 1~8
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.6.001
In this paper, we proposed image enhancement method using sharpening filter for improving the accuracy of object detection using the existing Grabcut algorithm. GrabCut algorithm is the excellent performance extracting an object within a rectangular window range, but it has the drawback of the inferior performance in image with no clear distinction between background and objects. So, in this paper, reinforcing the brightness and clarity through histogram equalization, and tightening the border of the object using the sharpening filter look better than that extracted result of existing GrabCut algorithm in a similar image of the object and the background. Based on improved Grabcut algorithm, it is possible to obtain an improved result in the image processing convergence technique of character recognition, real-time object tracking and so on.

DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.6.009
The study aims to examine the knowledge and awareness of care workers on oral health knowledge at the geriatric care facilities in order to improve and develop oral health services. For the research method, the study carried out a questionnaire survey to 163 care workers working at the geriatric care facilities (10) in D Metropolitan City from May 1~31, 2015 and then the collected data were statistically analyzed. As a result, the oral health knowledge of care workers was 20.09 points out of total 26 points (77.2%). The highest knowledge was 'proper toothbrushing method' with 93.0% and the lowest one was 'knowledge on the use of oral supplementary goods' with 58.1%. Those with experience of oral health education had higher demand on oral health education (P<0.001), and those with higher experience of oral health education had significantly higher oral health knowledge (P<0.001), demand (P<0.01) and awareness (P<0.05). As for factors influencing care workers' oral health awareness, if they had higher oral health knowledge points (P<0.01), oral health education demand (P<0.01), they had higher oral health awareness level. Accordingly, it is required to provide efficient, sustainable and practical oral health education of care workers considering oral characteristics of the long-term hospitalized patients at the care hospital. And, the role of dental hygienist as the person in charge of oral health education is necessary. Therefore, institutional support from the government is required to assign professional personnel.

DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.6.017
Firms that have adopted internet technology have been confused by distorted market signals. It is natural to look at marketplace outcomes for guidance, when confronted with a new business phenomenon. However, market signals can be unreliable in the early states of any important new information technology. New technologies trigger rampant experimentation, and the experimentation is often unsustainable. As a result, market behavior is distorted and must be interpreted cautiously. In Chapter 1, we review a concept of business model and roles of strategies in a business model. In Chapter 2, we discuss a strategic auditing method for analyzing market/channel positioning, product/service positioning, value chain/value network positioning and external environmental factors. In chapter 3, we introduces major frameworks for understanding factors forming strategies. The strategic grid model categorizes four quadrants depending on the level of impacts of information technology on operation and strategy. The strategic alignment model presents a new method of assessing an alignment of information technology and business throughout all elements of a business model. In this research, we review the concept of a business model. This research introduces factors that shape strategies and new frameworks for understanding these factors. The research objective of this manuscript is to present a guidance for firms how to use information technology for attaining sustainable competitive advantages.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in job satisfaction and turnover intention according to the level of Emotional labor and the mediating effect in dental hygienists. Higher levels of emotional labor resulted in lower levels of job satisfaction, as well as higher levels of turnover intention. We used the logistic regression analysis to compare change of job satisfaction, turnover intention according to the level of emotional labor. In logistic regression analyses, social support was the largest mediating factor between emotional labor and job satisfaction and the odds(Likely to with low job satisfaction) was down by 16% after adjustment for supervisor, colleague. In case of turnover intention, largest mediating factor were drinking, physical condition, supervisor, colleague and the odds(Likely to with high turnover intention) was down by 52% after adjustment for mediating factors. The results of this study were as follows. Emotional labor was negatively impact on job satisfaction and turnover intention. To increase the job satisfaction and lower the turnover intention, it is necessary to do more efforts to improve social support(supervisor and colleague) and management personal factor(drinking, physical condition) for the dental hygienists should be made to reduce such negative effects.

Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 6, 2015, Pages 87~93
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.6.087
Advertisements in modern era are not intended to be consumed only as commercial purposes, but consumed also as cultural and artistic purposes. Advertising contents' success depends on Semiotic codes revealed in advertising texts. Advertising scholar Ozoh (1998) argued that perspectives for advertising are divided into two perspective, one as marketing tool perspective and the other as communication processes perspective. Advertising planning, advertising management, advertising, and advertising evaluation of marketing perspective are significantly different from those of communication perspective. Two perspectives of advertising present various debates on what contents of advertising messages are and how advertising messages are made up. In this research manuscripts, we discuss story telling as communication tool of advertising text in terms of cultural semiotics. That is, meaning value of goods is so well revealed in use value of goods that they satisfy consumers' needs, we analyze how they satisfy consumers' needs in semiotic(symbolic) process. We apply Gremas's semantic model to coffee advertisements in France and Korea, and analyze various differences between differentiation strategies of French coffee advertisements and those of Korean coffee advertisements in terms of semiotic perspective.

The wisdom contents consists of an ordinary person's ideas and experience. The Wisdom Market is an online business model where wisdom contents are traded. Thus, the general public could do business activities in the Wisdom Market at ease. As the wisdom contents are themselves the thought of persons, there exists many similar or duplicated contents. Existing copyright protection schemes mainly focus on the primary author's right. Thus, it's not appropriate for protecting the contents of Collective Intelligence that requires to protect the rights of collaborators. There should exist a new method to be dynamic capable of combining and deleting rights of select collaborators. In this study, we propose collective copyright authentication scheme suitable for the contents of Collective Intelligence. The proposed scheme consists of collective copyright registration, addition and verification protocols. It could be applied to various business models that require to combine multiple rights of similar contents or to represent multiple authorships on the same contents.

They insist that there is no more new stuff in modern art to change every circumstance rapidly. According to this situation, they recreate the works which are made with the existed idea or materials, and also transform creative concept which cites the existing functions with modern meaning. Furthermore they can look into any data everywhere from their daily routine using the internet. And this must become one of the general forms which they imitate others' works which are referred or chosen in modern art. These social complextion is called a parody and pastich is technique of the Post Modernism which is the existence of past. Using the new construction, the parody and pastich which can accomplish some better value and bring other meanings makes original recreation with the concept of copying and repeating. It keeps changing and is shaping up to be different aspect so far. Every field has a little different term using its own expression but it keeps empathizing each other a same essential meaning. Although it is like universal mode of expression, It is fact that the public cannot distinguish what is creation, imitation, or piracy. This thesis shows the concept of it and files for terms which is using like that. At last it selects some artist who worked with parody and pastich analyses and compares them and their works.

In cold winter season, the apparatuses of heating and heater which warm up the interior of a room are necessary element and the used amount of these apparatuses from the year 2000 has been increased abruptly. But, the fire accident and the danger of fire are also increased. Therefore, 3D modelling is done by referring three kinds of the electric heaters as the heaters of ceramic, carbon and near infrared ray sold in the city for the design of more safe heating apparatuses in this study. The thermal analyses with these models are carried out and the durabilities due to the thermal deformation and stress are studied. By the background of the study results derived in this study ultimately, the durabilities of electric heater models due to each shape can be anticipated and contributed to the development of new heating apparatus with more safe resistance to fire. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.

The purpose of this convergence study was to analysis the current status of the cancer screening and background healthcare systems in Korea and Japan. First, Cancer Screening Program is coordinated well with National Health Insurance Service(NHIS) under a unified insurer system in Korea. But in Japan, there are over 3,500 insurer and coordinating a comprehensive strategy for cancer screening promotion has been very difficult. Second, Rate of cancer screening is influenced by public healthcare system. In Korea public healthcare does not cover a wide rage of services. Almost free cancer screening provides high incentive to participation. It is very important to understand the impacts of each healthcare system when designing an efficient cancer screening system.

Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 6, issue 6, 2015, Pages 263~270
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2015.6.6.263
L2 learners deal with communication problems encountered during the course of their oral communication by employing what are known as communication strategies(CSs). As CSs play a significant role in communication and language learning, identifying CSs that facilitate communication has become important in L2 research. However, there have been some controversies about how to identify CSs, especially about data sources: conversation data, retrospective interview data, or combining two types of data. Drawing on the advantages of converged data, this study aimed to identify CSs that L2 learners use in their English communication through a convergence analysis of data. In this qualitative case study, the data were collected from Korean L2 learners' conversations and retrospective verbal reports in stimulated recall interviews. Using a data convergence approach, various CSs were identified: definition replacement CSs, message change CSs, time-gaining CSs, and comprehension CSs. This study suggests the effectiveness of CSs in handling L2 communication problems and the usefulness of data convergence in L2 CS research.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between Suicidal ideation and Neighborhood environment among some adolescents. The G city 4,509 people which is suitable for this research at was aimed against the adolescents among the survey data collected. On the area neighborhood environment recognizes was good 1,805 people, was not good was 2,704 people. Suicidal ideation was where the neighborhood environment was bad 12.9%, good 8.8%. And in multiple logistic analysis, neighborhood environment was bad more significantly likely to be Suicidal ideation (OR=1.40, 95% CI=1.14-1.71). Therefore the residential zone environment needs to be monitored through the participation style local resident program. And it is regarded to find the plan that it lowers the suicide idea through the material and emotional converge support to the youth on the area where the residential zone environment is unable to be good in the national dimension.

The vibration happened at the revolution movement of driving shaft driven with the thrust of airplane affects the great influence on the life of the shaft. And a great loss of life is caused when the fatigue damage is occurred at the driving shaft during revolution. The chattering is occurred at the driving shaft placed at the various revolution due to the aviation environment. Therefore, the part of the driving shaft concerned about the fatigue damage is grasped through the analysis study in this paper. So, the durability to prevent damage can be improved and it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique on the basis of a recent safe design and show the esthetic sense.

MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) is an online course aimed at limited participation and open access via the web. There is even the prospect that MOOC may break down the existing university system and open a new horizon of education. However, MOOC is going differently from the first prospect that it would threat the existing higher education institutions. So this study wishes to provide a starting point of discussion that we can produce and utilize MOOC to fit our situation of higher education by revealing the inherent problems of MOOC. MOOC is a basically online education, so that it cannot help inheriting the essential weakness of the existing one: the interaction, supervision and evaluation. The newly added concept 'massive' raises the problem of class size which is the most sensitive part in the field of education. The concept 'open' reverses a customized education because MOOC is a kind of video clips of a lecture for unspecific massive learners. As a conclusion, we predicts that MOOC will be positioned as a higher education service for very prominent learners in self-led learning ability and people who cannot access even traditional online higher education institutions. Also MOOC is highly likely to be used as a means of Flipped Learning in universities. Therefore, considering these points in the future, we need to develop MOOC to suit these targets.
