DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2016.7.3.035
The purpose of this study is to examine the theoretical background of art make-up and surrealism in depth and shed new light on creative thoughts coming through application of Depaysement and various kinds of expression realized through art make-up, where art and make-up are incorporated. The study method is to conduct prior research followed by a theoretical study of the concept and techniques of Surrealistic Depaysement and theoretical background of art make-up through specialized books and internet sources and then to create 4 artworks representing characteristics of Depaysement technique categorized in dual image, fusion of heterogeneous objects, modification and conversion, and change of space. This examination resulted in first, a foundational ground for fusion and use of art and make-up sectors by creating a realm of expression based on creativity through incorporation of art and makeup and second, a sense of freshness and unfamiliar-ness by creation of an image in a completely unfamiliar space. Therefore, the researcher sets a direction for ways to come up with new ideas and expand the realm of expression and hopes that the art-makeup does not just become an aesthetic tool but turn itself as an art genre.

Compensation of the Non-linearity of the Audio Power Amplifier Converged with Digital Signal Processing Technic
Eun, Changsoo ; Lee, Yu-chil ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 7, issue 3, 2016, Pages 77~85
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2016.7.3.077
We propose a digital signal processing technic that can compensate the non-linearity inherent in audio amplifiers, and present the result of the simulation. The inherent non-linearity of the audio power amplifier arising from analog devices is compensated via a digital signal processing technic consisting of indirect learning architecture and an adaptive filter. The simulation results show that the compensator can be realized using a third-order polynomial and compensates odd-order non-linearity efficiently. The even-oder non-linearity is mainly due to the dc offset at the output, which is difficult to eliminate with the proposed method. Care must be taken in designing the bias circuit to avoid the DC offset at the output. The proposed technic has significance in that digital signal processing technic can compensate for the impairment that is an inherent characteristic of an analog system.

Yang, Dan-Hee ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 7, issue 3, 2016, Pages 121~129
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2016.7.3.121
This study explains the fundamental problems of MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) based on major survey results for MOOC and online courses conducted in the United States. Consequently, this study integrates the following conclusions and suggestions on how to improve MOOC and convergence of MOOC and universities under the current IT technology. First, the division into small sized classes will solve the problem of massiveness with MOOC. The problem of openness will be solved by providing differentiated courses based on placement tests; and the weakness of onlineness can be complemented through Flipped Learning methodologies. Second, in convergence of universities and MOOC, there are two desirable approache s: credit-free courses use the improved MOOC suggested in this study while credit courses are conducted by Flipped Learning, based on core online courses within departments. In addition, the credit courses offer intensive and supplementary ones together if possible. Third, MOOC will be utilized more widely as it will offer differentiated courses and be produced by education-based universities.

The Nutritional Aspect of Tofu
Jung, Moon-Kyung ; Kim, Sung-Hwan ;
Journal of the Korea Convergence Society , volume 7, issue 3, 2016, Pages 177~184
DOI : 10.15207/JKCS.2016.7.3.177
The purpose of this study was to nutritional aspect of tofu. Tofu is a widely-enjoyed food made from soybeans, and it is a great example of how a simple food like soybeans can be woven into human food traditions in a way that is natural, inexpensive, and nourishing. One of the most important things to remember about tofu is its basic whole food nature. Tofu is produced with significantly less processing than most low-fat soymilks, it is a soy food that is much closer to a "whole foods" category than soy protein isolates and concentrates. From a health benefits standpoint, there are also benefits to tofu that has been fermented. Replacing meat and dairy with tofu and other soy products would also lower our total cholesterol intake by about 125 mg per day and our saturated fat by about 2.4 g per day. These nutritional changes, in turn, would lower our risk of several chronic diseases, including cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
