A Study on the Arson Fire Characteristics based on Domestic Fire Statistics and Computer Simulation

With the development of the Korean economy, the number of arson fire has been radically increased and become a huge problem and issue in Korea Society for last several decades. This study is to establish the fire life safety strategy regarding the arson fire through researching domestic fire statistics and performing the computer simulation based on fire scenarios with cutting edge techniques and methods for fire characteristics and fire dynamic. In addition, to design the fire life safety strategy depending on the arson fire pattern, the flow and characteristics of fire flames and smoke are analyzed by the computer modeling.
Study on Application of Critiquing System As Corresponding Plan of Human Errors on Judgment Process

Humans are well-known for being adept at using intuition and expertise in many situations. However, human experts are still susceptible to errors in judgment or execution, and failure to recognize the limits of knowledge. This would happen especially in semi-structured situations, in multi-disciplinary settings, under time or other stress, under uncertainty, or when knowledge is outdated Human errors are caused by cognitive biases, attentional slips/memory lapses, cultural motivations, and missing knowledge. The purpose of this research is to study errors of human experts committed in judgment and the general idea of critiquing systems as corresponding plan. Compared to expert systems, critiquing systems are narrowly focused programs useful in limited situations for collaborating with and supporting experts in their task activities. It supports an expert by detecting the human's errors by deploying various strategies that stimulate humans to improve their performance. A variety of types of critiquing systems has spread through numerous application areas.
A need of safety evaluation for product planning step

Recently, there is a rise of accident by some defective products, especially it reported that a serious fact is a defect of design causing some problem since execute a product liability(PL), people who use products have been able to bo remunerated for a damage to those defects, so responsibilities of companies are rising more and more. Therefore, companies that are obligated to manufacture a safety product, and should make preparation for PL. For solving the problem, even though manufacturers tried to make a safety product ay mixed ways, it is seldom that its safety is considered from planning a design. This thesis has suggested a way aimed at improving a safety of products through considering a stage of a plan, by searching and analyzing the design-process in to each steps.
The relationship between safety education/management and safety appliance in small and medium size enterprises

This paper reviewed the relationship among safety education/managerial factors, safety motivation and safety appliance, and the moderating effect of safety motivation. Based on the responses from 225 employees in small & medium manufacturing and construction industry, hierarchical regressional analysis showed that all education/managerial factors have positive relationships with safety motivation. Also, safety motivation has mediating effect between education/managerial factors(safety education, communication, system, precautionary activity) and safety appliance.
Consciousness of Safety Engineer for Foreign Workers at a construction site

Safety training for foreign workers should be thoroughly done. But it has not been done well even if field safety manager understand that the training has not been well provided. 72% of responders (Safety Managers) at field thinks that safety training has not been well provided at a site. It is shown that there are not any additional measures to correct this problem. Eventually, the reasons of that the training is not well provided, and foreign workers do not understand safe condition at site, well lead to an accident at construction site.
An Study on Encoding of Accident Information for the Chemical Accident Tracking System

The systematic information management of chemical accidents is required as a tool for the policy making, system improvement and release of information. However, there isn't yet a systematic chemical accidents tracking system in Korea, which make a confusion that the related statistics are different from each others. In this research, we analyzed domestic and international chemical accidents data and made the chemical accident codes for the information tracking system properly.
A Study on Obesity Index of the Citizen in Seoul for Establishment of Safe Work Environments

Recently, obesity that is increasingly becoming a major cause of various diseases and safety accidents in work places is emerging as a serious social problem. It is due to economic growth and improvement of living environments. Many researches are trying to find the root cause of obesity. Thus, the main objective of this study is to analyze obesity index of citizens in Seoul which is a metropolis of Korea and a densely populated district. The data used in this study included 179 men and 152 woman subjects who are living in Seoul. Somatotype using
Index can be classified by 3 types (thin, standard, obesity). In order to analyze a detailed somatotype of citizens, age groups are divided into
years according to gender, respectively. In order to compare and analyze data, Coefficient of Variance, Cronbach's Alpha,
Idex and Drop Value were used in this study. The results of this study can be applied to the comfortable and safe work environments for workers.
A Study on the Effective Use of NEIS using Fuzzy AHP Technique

National Education Information System (NEIS) is an ambitious reform project that can improve the competitiveness and performance of education field and to link administrational work of between schools and their senior administration offices via internet. NEIS is introduced to lighten the teachers' overburden, to standardize the work process and to bring better quality education to each classroom and make it possible for those involved in education to resolve any related educational problem on line. This paper aims to construct a hierarchy model consisting of key factors such as technological and administrative factors for the effective use of NEIS and to evaluate the relative importance among key factors using fuzzy AHP technique included fuzzy concepts. Eventually, the analysis results can be utilized to develop the future improvement strategy of NEIS and to satisfy the users.
A Study on the Methods for Recognition of Working-Career on Use to Heuristic of SEM

So, This study is purposed to find that a method for recognition of working-career on the national technical qualification system According to, this study is designed to questionnaire with BSC(Balaced ScoreCard), SEM(Structure Equation Model) with the delphi method, and is analysed using the AMOS 7.0 program package. Finally, This study is suggested growing to qualification standard for an examination a degree of master craftsman only under the change of national qualification systematization as a standard to operation and control.
Design Requirements-Driven Process for Developing Human-System Interfaces

Development of human-system interfaces (HSI) supporting the interaction between human and automation-based systems, particularly safety-critical sociotechnial systems, entails a wide range of design and evaluation problems. To help HSI designers deal with these problems, many methodologies from traditional human-computer interaction, software engineering, and systems engineering have been applied; however, they have been proved inadequate to develop cognitively well engineered HSI. This paper takes a viewpoint that HSI development is itself a cognitive process consisting of various decision making and problem solving activities and then proposes a design requirements-driven process for developing HSI. High-level design problems and their corresponding design requirements for visual information display are explained to clarify the concept of design requirements. Lastly, conceptual design of software system to support the requirements-driven process and designers' knowledge management is described.
A study on location selection of total circulation complex using fuzzy theory

Nowadays, circulation industry is taking charge of important role in improvement of competitive power on the manufacturing industry and public welfare increase of consumer, price stabilization, employment creation and so on. A lot of research have been progressing for formation of total circulation complex, but decision making for selection of location on some facility is only calculated the optimum value when correct data values are inserted. However, a lot of decision making is accomplished in situation that have little knowledge of objective and constraints and as real world is also evaluated inclusive of analyst's subjectivity about variable, indefinite and fuzzy part, so it is decreasing a reliability on evaluation result and complicating objective evaluation on various effect and negative impact. Accordingly, from under like this situation, this study is to develop location decision model of circulation complex using fuzzy theory from the intention for the most reasonable decision making in fuzzy situation based on decision making problem on conventional location and size decision that did to be satisfactory constraints necessarily.
A study on development of BSC system for performance measurement in retrieval distribution business

Nowadays, BSC presented by alpan is observed by many enterprises and is being operated gradually. BSC includes non-financial factor as well as financial factor in performance assessment and it is a tool that will be able to evaluate even strategy of long-term view. In point of performance management, BSC brings in relief importance on non-financial performance as well as financial performance and it shares with viewpoint of 4 things of financial viewpoint, customer viewpoint, internal process view point, learning and growth viewpoint. then these make an array with vision and strategy of organization by causal relationship, it presented necessity of performance control on organization as center on KPI of inner of each viewpoint. Thus, study on measures and control of management performance is progressed actively and is accomplishing much development. This study is aimed at calculation of weight that is able to reflect its importance about AHP on KPI of each viewpoint. The purpose of this study is to present desirable performance measurement model and to give a weight in consideration of working-level character.

Effects of Environmental Problems on the Logistics Information System and Reverse Logistics Performance

The studies on the logistics has been mainly centered on the logistics information system and logistics performance on the supply chain for the enterprise's profit making. For sustainable development, it's being required the construction of recycling-oriented system, and it's also necessary to construct the efficient system not only in forward but in reverse channel. In addition, it's required to construct information system for supporting reverse logistics smoothly. In this study of manufacturing enterprises, recognition on the environmental problems is set as the adaptation degree to the national environmental regulations and enterprise's concern to the environmental logistics, and it presents the direction through analyzing the effects of such environmental logistics recognition on reverse logistics information system and performance. In order to achieve these aims, it was performed through combining philological and positive studies.
An Optimization Model for an Production-Distribution Planning with Consideration of a Transportation Time

Recently, a multi-facility, multi-product and multi-period industrial production-distribution planning problem has been widely investigated in Supply Chain Management (SCM). One of the key issues in the current SCM research area involves reducing both production and distribution costs. We have developed an optimization model to tackle the above problems under the restricted conditions such as transportation time and a zero inventory. Computational experiments using commercial tool Ms-Excel Solver show that the real size problems we encountered can be solved in reasonable time. The model can be used to decide an appropriate production-distribution planning problem in SCM research area.
Study on the Guided Tabu Search for the Vehicle Routing Problem

The vehicle routing problem determines each vehicle routes to find the transportation costs, subject to meeting the customer demands of all delivery points in geography. Vehicle routing problem is known to be NP-hard, and it needs a lot of computing time to get the optimal solution, so that heuristics are more frequently developed than optimal algorithms. This study aims to develop a heuristic method which combines guided local search with a tabu search in order to minimize the transportation costs for the vehicle routing assignment and uses ILOG programming library to solve. The computational tests were performed using the benchmark problems. And computational experiments on these instances show that the proposed heuristic yields better results than the simple tabu search does.
A Survey on the Real Time Vehicle Routing Problems

During last two decades the transportation system has developed into very intelligent system with GIS, GPS and ITS. The practical transportation management system provides real time response module to manage the customer's order. We have surveyed research papers on the real time vehicle routing problem in last two decades to figure out the dynamic vehicle routing problem. The papers are classified by basic routing algorithms and by managing the dynamic events which are the order management, the routing re-optimization, the routing post-optimization and the waiting strategy.

Measurement is a essential part in all kinds of industry, especially in manufacturing. But until now, measurement hasn't been located to the core of manufacturing in domestic. This study suggests improvement guide line for the multilateral problems of measuring instrument operation based on the investigation of small and medium-sized enterprises. To use measuring instrument correctly, man who treat it must be accustomed with the structure, the performance, the method. The measuring instrument must be corrected periodically. The correcting-schedule is established with environments with considering accuracy, stability, purpose, condition, and frequency.
Review and Suggestions of Models for Measurement System Analysis

The present study contributes reviewing and suggesting various models for measurement system analysis (MSA). Measurement errors consist of accuracy, linearity, stability, part precision, repeatability and reproducibility (R&R). First, the major content presents split-plot design, and the combination method of crossed and nested design for obtaining gage R&R. Second, we propose
variable control chart for calculating the gage R&R and number of distinct category. Lastly, investigating the determination of gage performance curve which establishes the control specification propagating calibration uncertainties and measurement errors is described.

A Study on the Revitalization of Servicizing: Focused on the Case of Car Parts

Servicizing is defined 'not as to sell the products but as to sell the functions'. This study was done on the methods for revitalization as the object items of navigation & antenna among car parts. The direct door-to-door survey was done for 101 enterprises (direct-management stores) and percentage & t-test were done for statistics. The results can be summarized like followings. First, PR on servicizing is required. Second the optimized methods can be obtained by incorporating reuse & recycling distribution systems of servicizing with the existing recovery system Reuse distribution system can be constructed rationally because inventory control is being done correct1y with the periodic recovery. Finally, as for the analysis on the relative importance of main factors of servicizing, it shows that supports & providing the concrete frame of the government & local autonomous body are important.
Status of Korean Suggestion System

Recently, product life-cycles are shortening faster than ever before, and companies with a suggestion system are in better position to overcome this shortening life-cycle and thus promote customer satisfaction. Suggestion systems, however, are not actively utilized on the production floors in many firms. This study showed that small-sized and medium-sized firms where a suggestion system is properly functioning by a strong will of top management are not many in Gangwon-do area. In considerable number of companies, a suggestion system is informally and spontaneously applied by the workers on the production floors not by company-wide systems. A suggestion system is required as a means of creating future value-added and it is a matter of course that the role of top management, together with middle-class managements' influence is quite important in the course of the successful application of it. A suggestion system, to be successful, calls not only individual efforts but also positive corporate cultures.
