A Study on Design of Safety Condition Evaluation Methods Using Analytic Hierarchy Process

The efficient safety estimation for a business should analyze an accident data by considering every possible and potential factor. Thus, we consider several factors to build the safety estimation model to meet fairness and rationality. This paper present the yearly statistic data of accident from KOSHA analyze the data by industry, scale, year of service of a employee, age and other factors; build the safety estimation model for the business based on the accident report derived the analysis. The estimation model is established by the weights for accident type, degree, scale, industry, year of service, and age of the employee derived from AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process).
Effects of Occupational Safety Communication in Workplace on Safety Consciousness and Action of Employees

A major purpose of management or occupational safety is a significant decrease in safety accidents. With this view, the establishment of occupational safety culture and the building of occupational communication network stand out as being more important than the past. This study has analysed the positive effects of occupational safety communication on safety consciousness and action of the employees in workplace. And it is confirmed that the occupational safety communication in workplace is the essential mechanism, through which the workers internalize safety consciousness and act safely. The safety consciousness and action of the employees are formed in safety culture, which is not only legal regulations, but a daily communication network in workplace. In these sense, the building of the occupational safety communication network is decisive for the establishment of safety culture. For these reasons, this study makes the proposition that a firm promotion of occupational communication network is necessary, which connects the safety culture and a effective safety management in workplace.
A Study on the Optimal Routing Planning Algorithm for Rescue of Multiple Victims in Disaster Area

The large-scale disasters occur to unexpected accidents such as natural disasters(earthquake, typhoon, tsunami, etc.), and human-caused accidents(fire, collapse, terror etc.). Rescue teams perform rescue activities to save many lives in large-scale disaster area. The main purpose of this study is to compose a optimal routing planning for rescue of multiple victims in disaster area. A realistic routing planning with rescue limit time which considers rehabilitation and reconstruction will be suggested in this study. A mathematical programming model and a hybrid genetic algorithm will be suggested to minimize the total spending time. By comparing the result, the suggested algorithm gives a better solution than existing algorithms.

Nowadays worldwide leading companies try to establish more efficient and comprehensive management system for getting high quality, reliability and safety. In this paper, we investigate standards for quality management, dependability management and risk management. We also suggest an integrated and comprehensive system of quality(ISO/TS16949), dependability (IEC60300)and risk(JIS Q2001). The evaluation method on the performance of dependability management systems are developed and applied for the semiconductor equipment company.
An Analysis of Cases over which Administrative Litigation was made regarding Cerebral and Cardiovascular Diseases due to Occupational Cases

This study collected 217 cases of court ruling statements for the cases over which administrative litigations were made regarding the acknowledgment of cerebral and cardiovascular diseases arising out of duty against Korea Labor Welfare Corporation and analyzed the factors of occurrence of cerebral hemorrhage and infarction and the Court cases of cancelation and dismissal of the litigation. As a result, due to seasonal factors, cerebral hemorrhage occurred more in the winter while cerebral infarction, in spring. The incidences for each age group were the higest in people in their 40s for cerebral hemorrhage while in those in their 50s for cerebral infarction, it turned that the incidence inside the places of business was the highest. The average days from application for care and family benefits until the confirmation of the case was 31 months on average for 34 canceled cases while 23 months for 183 dismissed ones, and the average number of months working until the occurrence of accident was 80.8 months for the 34 canceled cases while 77.6 for the 183 dismissed ones. This study has a significance in that it analyzed leading cases of confirmed administrative litigations in some cases applied for diseases due to occupational cases after the occurrence of cerebral and cardiovascular diseases but not approved, through which it is expected to be used as the basic data to reduce time and economic loss generated by the litigations to judge the acknowledgment of diseases due to occupational cases.
A study on the job stress influencing to the construction management in construction industry

The Purpose of this study was to comprehend the influence that worker's job stress caused by the distinct characteristics of construction work affect on construction management. Proven through previous studies of job stress measurement method, physical environment, job demands, job autonomy, interpersonal conflict are derived as typical factors. We analyzed causal relationships between the factors using structural equation modeling under the hypothesis that job stress have effect on the construction management. As a result, successful job stress management for construction management plan is proposed.
The Effect of the Exercise Remedy on the Increase of Muscular Strength in the Low Back Pain Patients

WMSD occurs by accumulating the visible position and movements. Therefore, it is easier to prevent WMSD from occurring than other diseases when each employee is aware of the factors which cause WMSD. Hence, We need to develop exercise remedy, which can be done without using any exercise equipments and regardless places. The exercise prescription for those for LBP was to do the upper body exercise remedy twice in the morning and another twice in the afternoon and the spinal exercise remedy and the lower body exercise remedy once in the morning and once in the afternoon. We measured their maximum muscular strength every second week using a fitness machine so that we could compare the differences of the muscular strength of the test group and the comparison group. Therefore this research presented the fact that the exercise remedy is effective to prevent and cure LBP through a scientific test. And it confirmed that the exercise remedy by the Ergonomic exercise prescriptions is effective on LBP.
An Ergonomic Analysis on Working Posture Associated with Dental Treatment Using Indirect Viewing Method

This study tried to focus on nontraditional job that has not been studied in terms of the subjects associated with MSDs(Musculoskeletal Disorders). Specifically, dental procedure was the job to be analyzed in this study. An alternative method as well as a traditional method for viewing teeth while performing simulated dental procedures. Four graduated students did both methods(direct view and indirect view) as the subjects in this study. The method based on indirect view used a video camera and monitor to view the teeth. The experiment was conducted five times for each subject. The major findings in this study were as follows; 1) Job speed was increased with the repetitions for both methods, 2) Difference of Neck flexion between direct and indirect methods was statistically siginificant(Neck flexion for indirect method was dramatically decreased), 3) Difference of job speed between direct and indirect methods was statistically significant(Job speed for direct method was faster than that of indirect method), 4) Difference of error rate between direct and indirect methods was statistically significant(error rate for direct method was lower than that of indirect method), 5) Even though indirect method did not provide better performance in terms of job speed and error rate yet, it seemed to need a trade-off between two methods in the future since indirect method provided better working postures than that of direct method.
Auto-Generation of Diagnosis Program of PLC-based Automobile Body Assembly Line for Safety Monitoring

In an automated industry PLC plays a central role to control the manufacturing system. Therefore, fault free operation of PLC controlled manufacturing system is essential in order to maximize a firm's productivity. On the contrary, distributed nature of manufacturing system and growing complexity of the PLC programs presented a challenging task of designing a rapid fault finding system for an uninterrupted process operation. Hence, designing an intelligent monitoring, and diagnosis system is needed for smooth functioning of the operation process. In this paper, we propose a method to continuously acquire a stream of PLC signal data from the normal operational PLC-based manufacturing system and to generate diagnosis model from the observed PLC signal data. Consequently, the generated diagnosis model is used for distinguish the possible abnormalities of manufacturing system. To verify the proposed method, we provided a suitable case study of an assembly line.
A Phenomenological Review on the Damage of Hot Gas Parts caused by Explosion of Gas Turbine Cooling System

Gas turbines for power generating operate in a very high temperature condition and use natural gas for fuel. For this reason, many cases of damage happen at hot gas parts which are severely affected by high temperature gas and many cases of explosion occur by fuel gas. So a lot of efforts should be made to prevent hot gas parts damage and gas explosion accidents. Though there are many damage cases and explosion accidents, it is very difficult to find out the root causes of hot gas parts damage caused by gas explosion due to gas leakage in the heat exchanger for air cooling and gas heating. To prevent gas turbine from damage caused by gas explosion, removal of leakage gas from gas turbine is inevitably required before firing the gas turbine and installing alarm systems is also required for detecting gas leakage at stop valve to turbine while shut down.
A Study on Strength Properties of Mortar added Nano Titanium Dioxide

Functional Concrete Added Titanium Dioxide(TIO2) for photocatalysis was about a result strength Reduction by recent studies. Therefore, The purpose of the study is to review the possibility of TIO2 for using concrete admixture. As a result, Nano TIO2 for concrete admixture helps increased strength of concrete and here are some of the details. The compressive strength and flexural strength of cement mortar added same amount of Nano SF and TIO2 for admixture were development of strength a certain level each other. when Nano admixture use 10%, SF and TIO2 showed development of strength 60% and 40% each other gradually. If I use over 10% Both SF and TIO2, they showed irregular strength variations.
The Effect of Services Recovery Effort on Continuous Use Intention of Internet User -Focusing Mainly on Personal Information Security Exposur-

The most important concern in the internet service organizations in competitive market circumstances is to focus on formation and maintenance of continuous relationship with customers. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of perception of the fairness - procedural fairness for recovery, interactional fairness, fairness for reward on customer's satisfaction and trust, behavior when the internet service company failed to service such as disclosure of personal information. This study aims to apply justice theories to service recovery. As a result, first, the customer's perceived justice had a significant effect on the customer satisfaction and trust in service recovery. Second, the customer's satisfaction positive effect on trust. Third, customer's satisfaction formed by service recovery had a effect on the customer's behavior such as continuous usage intention. Therefore, this study was reveal how the extent of justice perception felt by customers in the service recovery process, causes positive causation relationship which affect customer behavior intention.
Design and Implementation of Location Based u-Apartment Service System

In this paper, the uAPSS(u-APartment Service System) that is based on location-aware technology is designed and implemented for a luxury apartment. On the real luxury apartment the developed system has been employed and tested to provide convenient and secure living for residents. It provides services such as emergency call, intelligent elevator operation, and hands-free door access based on the location of the residents with personal device as called smart tag. It can also be applied to other service areas such as the location-aware u-Service for hospitals, high-rising complex buildings, silver towns, etc.
Development of Tracking and Batch Payment Processing System for Parcel Delivery Based on RFID and GIS Technology

Door to door service is a typical method for individual parcel deliveries. In the current delivery information system, a delivery person manually inputs the information of many delivery results, which causes inefficiency and difficulties of tracking deliveries. This study suggests an enhanced delivery information system which has the following two characteristics. Firstly, a tagged RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) transmits the delivery result information to the main server by just collecting RFID at a place of destination. Secondly, with the characteristics of rewritable method, the collected RFID is to be input new information and tagged to other parcels.
An Effect Analysis for Productivity Elevation by the System Improvement

The goal of this study is to analyze an effect of productivity elevation. For the goal, the various methods of the productivity elevation were suggested and the system improvements were conducted. The S company was established in Ban-Wol Industrial Complex, Ansan-City, Kyonggi-Do on 2007. The company was hiring 22 employees. The main manufactures were heavy duty equipment parts and the amount of sale was two billion won on 2008. Problems which the company faced were ambiguous production target management and materials loss. To solve the problems, NCT work improvement and automatic welding were induced. There were steel saving of 3,780,000won/month and man-hour saving of 144,000won/month by redesign of the steel sheet for the NCT steel job. Also, changing from handwork to automatic welding, the man-hour saving for the welding job was 320M/H and saving of 4,225,600won/month. The others of systematic improvement for productivity elevation were usage of jig and daily equipment checklist.

In accordance with the trend for cooperation of related company, BOM (Bill of Materials) has become an important factor in the manufacturing of production. BOM manages a various basic information of design, production, and process and so on. Especially, automobile industries are related to many company, they build a cooperative system from the communication of information. In this study, we have analyzed a BOM structure of a well-used automobile part industry and proposed a structure of engineering BOM, manufacturing BOM, process BOM for cooperative environment. A proposed various BOM structure are flexible in responding to the situation of structure alternations for automobile part. And also they include in environment factors. It is expected that these BOM structure will be used to basic template in automobile part industry which could be loaded with cooperative hub-system.
Application PDX to BOM of Auto Parts Manufacturers for Environmental Regulation Compliance

The environmental regulation of a product is a global trend. The environmental regulation directives such as RoHS, WEEE, ELV and REACH have impacted Korean export-oriented auto parts manufacturer and affects the export of the product to aboard. In electronics manufacture and auto parts manufacturer, there are different systems for environmental regulation compliance. Nowadays the automotive mechatronics parts in a car are increasing. The HEV and intelligent car will need more mechatronics parts. It is necessary to apply the environmental regulation system of electronics to the automotive parts. In this paper, we proposed the application of PDX standard used in electronic industry to the BOM of the auto parts manufactures and showed an example of generated BOM for selected auto part using PDX. The PDX-based BOM can be used for the recording of environmental substances of the automotive mechatronics part and help the collaboration across auto parts manufactures in accordance with environmental regulation.
A Study on the Effect of Customer's Repurchasing and Switching Intention on Characteristic of e-brand Loyalty

The advent of Internet has greatly increased the ability of companies to conduct their business faster, more accurately, over a wider range of time and space, at reduced cost and with the ability to customize and personalize customer offerings. However it may be difficult for companies to sustain a long-run survival in competition environment of e-business. The purpose in this study is to analyze the relationship among site loyalty characteristics, customer's repurchasing intention and switching intention of internet shopping mall. The results showed that reputation variables of internet shopping mall only affected significantly e-loyalty. And the relationship among e-brand loyalty, customer's repurchasing intention and switching intention was significantly supported.
A study of actual planning how to increase IT productivity by COCOMO II Model

Project implementation plan is a blueprint that confirms project performance activities and specifies required man-hour, period and resource imput ratio. Various figures, the results of implementation plan, are predicted through estimation, and because of superiority of objectivity and repeatability, numerical formula-based estimation model is often used overseas. COCOMO model is the representative estimation model whose theories and formulas are publicized and it predicts the total man-hour required for software system development. This model is publicized in "Software Engineering Economics" written by Professor Barry Boehm of the U.S., and is the most widely applied numerical formula-based estimation model. This study is conducted to provide a series of methods that are optimal for KTDS environment by choosing COCOMO II model among various types of COCOMO models. In establishing implementation plan, COCOMO II model alone is not sufficient, it is necessary to link with and apply standard WBS system and standard man-hour. In establishing specific implementation plan, phased standard WBS system in order of the first phase of all the activities implemented in the project, Activity, Task, and Role, and the man-hour put into this should be distributed according to standard ratio from COCOMO II model's total man-hour. This study provides explainations by establishing standard WBS system and linking with COCOMO II model.
A Study on Interface Standard for Agencies of Air Logistics(2)

The air logistics process is complex and needs many informations because various agencies participate in the logistics service and many stakeholders in air logistics. But it is hard to improve the infra of facilities because of an enormous expense, so air logistics process has to simplify for growing air freight. Nevertheless some documents are same, they should be changed due to different format. Also documents have to change even though different documents have same informations. Consequently, errors are increased because the names of the same data are different from each other and stakeholders have to reproduce the documents. In order to mitigate these problems, we selected documents and analyzed document data for the interface optimization in general air logistics process. Next, we unified the data names and defined contents of data. Also we set the type of the defined data on DB type, and gave the code to the defined data. It made easy to exchange informations among the stakeholders to match documents corresponding with the defined data. Finally, the simulation of air logistics processes was performed the quantitative analysis of the data that occur in the air logistics. In conclusion, we expect to reduce the inefficiency such as reproduction of data and the errors by improving the interface of information.
A Study on the comparison between MS-SQL and ALTIBASE in EPCIS

EPC Information Services (EPCIS) is an EPCglobal standard designed to enable EPC-related data sharing within and across supply chain. The EPCIS standard defines standard interfaces to enable EPC-related data to be captured and subsequently to be queried using a set of service operations and an associated data model. There are two kinds of EPCIS data: event data and master data. Event data is created in the process of carrying out business processes. Traceability of goods across supply chain is based on event data. Therefore, each company must have an event data. This study compared he difference between MS-SQL(DRDBMS) and ALTIBASE(MMDBMS) for data storage. We compared the difference between two database management in many respects such as insert time and select time. We come to a conclusion that ALTIBASE is more efficient than MS-SQL.
A Study on Efficiency of the EPCIS using Altibase DBMS

EPCIS(EPC Information Service) system is a core component of EPCglobal Architecture Framework offering information of the freights, the time of awareness and the location of awareness on the EPCglobal Network. EPCIS Repository continuously stores and manages mass EPCIS Event input data from a great number of RFID devices simultaneously. The Hybrid DBMS can deal efficiently mass necessary data. This study suggest the plan which can efficiently manage EPCIS Repository using Hybrid DBMS. We offer three schema and stores EPCIS Event data to Altibase DB that can efficiently manage EPCIS Repository using Hybrid DBMS and compare the performance about three schema through simulations.

The Port treat 99.7% of freight for imports & exports in our country. So The Port is much accounted of the economy. Then the government and economy study about rasing port efficiency and productivity. But most of the studies are related with container terminal. Container is easy to treat. Because container is standardized. And it also is easy to implement to a system. But general terminal which treats bulk-cargo or general cargo is not. In this study, Stevedoring System applying PDA is developed by analyzing current system and business process. It is based on Web Service. So It is easy of access.
A study on human resources of the logistics industry in Korea

Korean logistics industry have been focused on transportation business. However, with the expansion of the electronic commerce and on-line shopping, delivery service is now dramatically growing. Despite the expansion of logistics market, the domestic logistics industry have significant structural problems such as low productivity comparing with the advanced countries, relatively high cost and shortage of human resources and lack of professionalism of people in the industry. Logistics companies reallocate employees, use subcontractors, expand consignment and training the employees to overcome the labor shortages but it has some limits. In recognition of the importance of labor in the logistics industry, financial support and investment have increased. Logistics companies tend to hire consultants, set up logistics department or R&D center in order to establish highly productive logistics process and system so it is viewed that there will be considerable demands of human resources in the logistics industry. This study indicates implications and development direction of human resources in the logistics industry by looking into prospect and characteristic of the industry, employment status, training programs and qualification requirements.

The purpose of this study is looking for the support policies and factors to stimulate the quality innovation movement. Kano's model proposed a two-dimensional model on quality based on customer perception and experience. And Timko developed the customer satisfaction coefficient for overcome the weak points of Kano's model. In this paper, new approach framework is proposed by integrated Kano's model and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient. And it applied to confirm the various factors which was offered by government and major company's policies for small and medium enterprises.
A study of development to the ratio of successful applicants forecasting model using AHP

We need a study of the ratio of successful applicants control methodology about the national technical qualification under the global-green industrial society and rapid change of international circumstances, infinite competition rider society under FTA aspects. It is necessary to develop of HRD Korea selfishness and increase brand value of national technical qualification. So, this study is analysed to the ratio of successful applicants of national technical qualification toward change of the 'bank of problems' control rule, various characters of candidates and the trend of demand and supply of labours instead of the absolute evaluation method. Accordingly, this study suggests to a methodology for the forecasting model of the ratio of successful applicants using the level of problems difficulty and pattern and the candidates academical carriers.
Derivation and Implementation of Statistical Difference and Practical Equivalence Models in the Quality Improvement Processes

The research proposes the complementary methodology using integrated hypothesis testing and confidence interval models that can be identified the statistical difference and practical equivalence. The models developed in this study can be used in the quality improvement processes such as QC story 15 steps. For the expressions of CI4LSD(Confidence Interval for Least Significant Difference) and CI4TOST(Confidence Interval for Two One-Sided Tests) are simple, quality practioners can efficiently handle them. CI4TOST models as a complement can be applied when CI4LSD models are influenced by sample size and precision.
A Case Study on the Six Sigma Application to Reduce Waiting Day for Computed Tomography in the Radiology Department

The purpose of the study was to apply and to expand the six sigma to reduce waiting times for computed tomography (CT) examination which manipulated by the department of radiology. It was preceded by DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). In the stage of definition, it wereselected for total 5 critical to quality (CTQ), which were the kindness, the waiting time, the examination explanation, the waiting day and the waiting stand environment, that increased the reserved time of CT examination. In the stage of measurement, the number of examinations and of reservation waiting days performed and resulted in final CTQ(Y) which measured each 1.68 and 1.85 sigma. In the stage of analysis, the examination concentrated on morning time, non-scheduled examination of the day, the delayed time of booking, frequent telephone contacting and equipment malfunction were determined as variable key causes. In the stage of improvement, it were performed with expansion of the examination in the morning time, integration of laboratories that used to in each steps, developing the ability of simultaneous booking schedule for the multiple examinations, developing program of examination request, and the customer management team operations. For the control, the number of examinations and reserved waiting days were measured each 3.14 and 1.13 sigma.
Analysis for Soil Pollution by Heavy Metals in the Area of Kyongbuk

The investigation was initiated with data from 27 abandoned mines along with 12 locations in Kyongbuk abandoned mines. The analyses for soil pollution by heavy metal pollutants were conducted by using correlation analysis, cluster analysis, and principal component analysis. The correlation analysis indicated that Ni and pH were highly correlated compared to those of other heavy metal ions. The principal component analyses showed that the heavy metal ions might be classified into two catagories, such as antropogenic and lithogenic components. The cluster analysis was also clearly divided by two groups. The respective two groups might be Pb-Zn-Cd-Cu and As-Hg-Ni.
