A study on the development of Enterprise Risk Management System in Airport Corporation

Enterprise Risk Management(ERM) is aiming at the establishment of the risk management process to prevent and cope with risks in advance and is composed of Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Response and Monitoring. It is feedback through the Risk Re-identification. This study has analysed a sample of the risk management system of an airport operating corporation, for this purpose, relevant documents and examples of overseas airports have been reviewed. It has found that corporations establishing ERM have been performing identical procedures such as the process of Identification, Assessment, Effective Reporting, Communication and monitoring and so on. The A corporation has established the process for risk management and crisis management and organized for its organization and system. The risk management has the same process such as above. In this process, when the symptoms of critical crisis have been recognized, it has been transformed into crisis management system, through which, corporate-wide response has been conducted in the process of crisis status analysis, response and follow-up management. This study expects to contribute to systematic foundation for future business continuity on the basis of risks and response procedures acknowledged by this study.

In recent years, the surroundings of Fire have rapidly changed and citizens need for Fire have been demanding very high. Under these situations, in order for satisfaction to all these demands, Seoul Emergency Operations Center have made improvements as the core fire operational center in Korea. However, There have been so many problems happening in the middle of receiving calls from malice citizens of Seoul. The purpose of this study is to scrutinize current operations focused on fire fighters in Seoul Emergency Operations Center and to cope with how to overcome these problem by using AMOS 21 & SPSS Statistics 21. The result of this study presents that how we can find to be Seoul Emergency Operations Center running well. And This study is applied to seoul fire policies or helped to setting them up.
A Study on Development of Balanced ScoreCard Personnel Assessment Using of Safety Duty Using National Competency Standards

If examining utilization by completion of National Competency Standards development, efforts are made so as to organize curriculum matched to education or training and perform subjects based on competence unit educationally in specialized high schools, colleges and university. However, National Competency Standards is insignificantly utilized in enterprises and on the spot due to characteristics of occupation type and diversity of process. This thesis intended to measures of safety efficiency improvement of final enterprise through the human resources assessment system of National Competency Standards based enterprise. Therefore, various methodologies were introduced and results of analysis by Balanced ScoreCard method were suggested for policy measures improving final safety efficiency. The results of this analysis are expected to make contribution to improving the effectiveness of the government's industrial safety and health policies through the establishment of systematic safety and health systems according to the risk level of individual business.

Total industrial accident rate in Korea is facing a record 0.7% for 10 years since 2000. After entering the continuous versus 0.6% (0.69%) in 2010. In 2011, the decrease was reduced to 0.65%. Conversely In contrast to foreign workers' share has increased dramatically over 10 years since 2000 to 2010 are expected to be difficult in the accident rate of 0.5% for the entry. Despite the ongoing disaster reduction efforts to reduce disaster (share) of foreign workers has been increasing rapidly Survey, Whilst the provision of disaster prevention system status and problem analysis and identify measures that can be established through such disaster reduction measures are urgently needed.
Intelligent Image Analysis System for Preventing Safety Hazards in Dangerous Working Area

To prevent safety hazards in dangerous working area, we have proposed an intelligent image analysis system. Six common patterns of safety violations of workers' are defined and its motion detection algorithms are developed for alarm to CCTV monitoring system. Developed algorithms are implemented at 195 dangerous areas such as chemical and gas treated room. The results of violated motion detection ratio by developed system shows 94.95% of true positive cases, and 0.21% of false positive cases from all 587,645 event cases in one month implementation period. In the period, it is observed that the number of safety rule violations and the following accidents are decreased.
A Study on the Job Stress and Psychosocial Wellbeing Index of Industrial Workers with Assistive Technology Major

In the perspective of industrial health management, it is important for the employee to decrease their job stress, to improve their productivity and quality of labor. In this study, the job stress, and it's influence on PWI(Psychosocial Wellbeing Index) were investigated by the questionnaire survey of 138 industrial workers who had studied assistive technology in college. The contents of questionnaire consist of the demographic characteristics, job-related characteristics, job stress and psycho-social stress. We evaluated job stress by KOSS-SF(Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Sort Form) and psychosocial stress by PWI-SF(Psychosocial Well-being Index-Short Form). To analyze the results, we evaluated the exposure level of KOSS and PWI by demographic characteristics and job-related characteristics using significance tests. Also, we estimated the relationship among demographic characteristics, job-related characteristics, job stress and psychosocial stress, using correlation analysis. As a results, all workers were found to be in a group under the high risky stress. It showed that the scale index of female's job non-autonomy and pwi were much larger than those of male's. Therefore, to guarantee job autonomy of female workers should be more emphasized, to improve their working environment. Job type had significant relationships with many job stress category; physical environment, job demand, job instability and organization culture. Regarding pwi, the scale index of the workers who is in charge of the civil service such as contacting the disabled and the aged in person, were much larger than that of the other workers. Accordingly, the job stress management program including physical environment, job demand, job instability and organization culture, should be suggested, to decrease the stress of the workers in charge of the disabled and the elders service. The strongest predictors of pwi was organization system through maximum positive relations between organization system and pwi. Therefore, it indicates that improvement of organization system such as a fair merit rating, a manpower supply, demand plan and department cooperation is urgently needed to reduce pwi.

The purpose of the establishment of corporation's Business Continuity Plan(BCP) is to maintain corporations' own business and establish the response plan in order to resume operation in a short time period when crisis situations occur due to natural disaster and human error. This study has presented all types of procedures and criteria which are needed to establish the airport crisis response system in order to maintain the business continuity by utilizing BCP technique. Basically the risk response procedures must be established in the process of (1) preparation stage, (2) plan development stage, (3) documentation stage, (4) test & maintenance stage. The guideline has been suggested that each stage must be carried out in the sequence of Policy & Planning Responsibility, Business Impact Analysis, Recovery Strategy & Plans, Emergency Plan & SOP, Training Awareness and Maintenance & Review

The safety culture of an organization is the product of individual and group values, attitudes, perceptions, competencies, and patterns of behavior that determine the commitment, the style and proficiency, and an organization's health and safety management. A good safety culture includes effective, appropriate safety management systems; strong safety leadership & commitment from management; participation and involvement of the workforce; and organizational learning and continuous improvement. This paper will introduce the safety culture inspection standards and process in Korea Railway. The main purpose is to get a better understanding of safety culture and to develop measuring tool. First of all we developed the composition factor of safety culture and the question set. And we prepared the base of computerization of safety culture measurement by developing of evaluation standards and weighted value.
On Enhancing Test and Evaluation Process of Weapon Systems Development using DSM-Based Risk and Safety Management

The weapon systems development has some distinct characteristics in that a big size of government budget (derived from national tax) has been expended frequently and the completion of the development projects seems to take long. Thus, the impact of the potential changes in the required operational capability on the development activities can induce some type of project risks. As such, proper management of project risk has been one of crucial subjects in the weapon systems development. Although a variety of methods can be considered, an approach based on the test and evaluation (T&E) process has been selected in this paper in order to appropriately handle those potential risks. In the study of the underlying T&E process, the safety consideration (for instance, explosiveness) of weapon systems is also included. To achieve the objective of the paper, a step-by-step procedure is first presented in the analysis of the T&E process. Then, to pursue some enhancement on the process, a set of necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. The resultant process is further analyzed and tailored based on a design structure matrix method. The case study of a tank development is also discussed.

System is the organization of hardware, software, personnel and facilities needed to perform a designated function within a stated environment with specified results. The trend of modern systems is getting more complex and larger. The system is necessary for modern society but the minor malfunction of the system can result the enormous human and material losses. Recently it is being heightened the concern for system safety and required to be built and applied Safety Engineering standard Guideline for safety of complex and large-sized system. This paper describes the System Engineering Process model integrated with Safety Engineering and the establishment of standard safety guidelines for safety of product development using DMADOV Methodology of the Lean 6 Sigma.
(A)Study on the relationship between back pain experiences of Japanese employees with spinal disorder and body Musculoskeletal disorder

The study targeted Japanese employees who have visited hospital for spinal disorder. The study analyzed work environment and pain relief methods of work-related back pain patients, and the relationship between back pain and other body parts. The purpose of this study was to provide draw up measures for patients with back pain and to provide basic data for the sustainable prevention program. The study result of back pain, in other words, employees suffering from lumbago, had disparity between occupations; the highest number of patients were made up of 16-years or above long-serving employees, and below 5-years of short-serving employees. There were more patients complaining of chronic lumbago than acute lumbago, and patients recognized poor posture as the primary cause of lumbago. Furthermore, 99.5% of spinal disorder patients complain back pain, 23.2% use only alternative therapy, and 15.2% visit clinic and hospital with alternative therapy. Patients showed pain reduction and high satisfaction after using alternative therapy. The study targeted Japanese employees where complement therapy is more generalized than that of Korea, and thus there should be multilateral management programs provided in Korea as well.
A Study on Securing Safety of Evacuation through Smoke Control in Case of Fire at the Central Corridor Type Intelligent Buildings

This study investigated the smoke blocking and control systems for the safety of residents evacuation and for the prevention of smoke spread through the central corridor in the event of central corridor type of intelligent building fire. We offered additional ways of utilizing smoke ventilators and intake ventilation equipment and utilized CFD-based fire simulation program(FDS Ver.5.5.3) in order to analyze the effect. As a result, many differences in the smoke block effect, depending on the application of smoke ventilator and location of installation, was found. In addition, the result was found that larger effect was showed not in the case of application of smoke ventilator in central corridor only but application in fire room. The reason is that the smoke leakage is blocked primarily as air is flowed in the fire room through open door by operation of intake smoke ventilator in the public corridor and secondarily, the smoke leakage to the public corridor could be blocked as fire and smoke were released to the opened smoke ventilator continuously. Especially, the effect was maximized through complex interactions by applying smoke ventilator and intake ventilation equipment in corridor together rather than applying smoke ventilator and intake ventilation equipment independently. The proposed measure through this study shall be considered from architectural plan as one of ways for blocking from smoke spread to the central corridor in the central corridor type of intelligent building. In addition, flaws on regulation shall be established and supplemented.
System and method for detecting gas using smart-phone

This study is in regard to the gas detection system and gas detection method utilizing smart phone. This study includes; 1) the sensor module attached to the smart phone to detect and measure flammable gas or toxic gas; and 2) gas detection APP which is installed inside the smart phone and recognizes the user information and location information automatically by reading RFID tag indicating the user or the location to detect gas through the contact area where RFID and blue tooth reader is installed inside of the above mentioned smart phone, and then measures the combustible gas or toxic gas by operating above mentioned sensor module and obtains the data thus measured, and above mentioned smart phone is characterized by its transmission of the above mentioned user information, location information and measured data which are obtained by above mentioned gas detecting APP to operation server via communication network. With this, reliability for the location detecting gas by the user, the result of the measurement, etc. can be secured. Furthermore, this provides the effect of preventing artificial manipulation at the time of input which is associated with the identification of the user to be measured by utilizing removable sensor module and application or the mistake resulted from wrong input by the user. In addition, by transmitting the measured data from the sensor module carrying out gas detection to operation server, this provides the effect of making it possible to process the data thus collected to a specialized data for combustible gas or toxic gas.
Study on Developing Emergency Response Procedure in Laboratory accident with Wireless Detecting System

In these days, hazards in laboratories are consistently increasing due to high technological advance in modern science. Efforts to prevent accidents in laboratories became law named [ACT ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SAFE LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT]. The law made laboratories more safely but it's not enough to keep up laboratory safety in advanced countries. To improve laboratory safety, this study reformed laboratory emergency response flow chart based on each emergency scenarios and its evaluated hazards in laboratories applied wireless hazard detecting equipments.

Through the inspector's real name to improve the quality of inspection is to show the design Radiological examination pursuant to the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare for patient safety in the Image. In this study, increasing the stability of the patient and the precise inspection, In order to increase the efficiency and convenience than the real-name system for quality control inspectors of medical equipment, Using the EMR and PACS developed and applied to evaluate the usefulness of automatic enrollment. Enter your information in the EMR, which was developed markers that inspectors use to compare the before and after images PACS satisfaction. Convenience than using traditional, consistency, the entry of the missing were higher as a statistically significant difference. A test strip automatic enrollment programs are developed in this study. You can increase the stability of the patient by checking the image to show the real tester, we expect the quality of care would be improved.
Legibility Evaluation of Words Used in Pesticide Products According to Age in Same Near Visual Acuity

This study tried to investigate the difference of the legibility in different age groups (young and old) with same near visual acuity and to provide preliminary guidelines for the text sizes in the pesticides products based on the legibility experiments. To achieve the objective, legibility evaluation experiments were conducted to test the effects of different age(20s, 50-60s), gender, font type(thick gothic-type and fine gothic-type), thickness (plain and bold), and number of syllables(2 and 3 syllables) in the same near visual acuity(0.6). The results showed that legibility 50s was higher than 20s. And 20s are appealed higher discomfort than 50s. Considering these experimental results, it was recommended that the 14 pt or larger characters (100% readable size) should be used the important information such as toxicity, and the minimum character size was 7 pt (50% readable size) for other information.
A Study for Effect of certification on Standard Products - focusing on the Children's Carrier

This study analyzed that the infant carrier standard affects the satisfaction of certification. Baby Carrier Safety requirements in the Republic of Korea is enforceable by court duty certification. Therefore, a test was conducted to compare with the safety requirements of the United States and Europe and the survey was conducted to know how much manufacturers and importers are satisfied with the certification. According to the test result, there is a difference between domestic and foreign safety requirements about flame retardancy. As a result of the survey, The satisfaction of the certification is proportionate to the one of product standard.
Legal nature on industrial disasters of students to participate in Co-op program

Many students can experience, such as for credit and social activities through field trips and participate in field trips. For on-site field training exercise participants currently in Gwangju University They take part in field trip 1, 2, 3 and 4 as the type.. Field Practice 1 type in summer and 2 in winter of 4-week period during vacation holidays with 3 credits, field trips 3 type of 8-week period during vacational holidays with 6 credits recognized for \400,000 in job training fee is also payable by the Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation Agency. 4 types of job training are fourth grade (Architecture Grade 5) can be employed in conjunction for more than 15 weeks and admitted to the second semester of 15 credits by participating in job training. For most schools, but to pay a fee-job training at the University of Hanyang University, Kyungpook National University has a student assistance in the field training participating companies. This establishment does not have a clear idea of the legal entities responsible in the event of industrial accidents. Academic research is also nonexistent state for them. In this paper, we distinguish the personality for it via the existing labor precedents with respect to the legal responsibility of an industrial accident. This aims at putting the means to establish the role of the University of job training support.

For the sustainable development, companies are making a lot of efforts such as activities of sales increase and cost reduction. Among these, efforts to use limited resources efficiently and effectively is still being made steadily. And many methods for management innovation are being introduced and used. However there were partial or temporary effects only. So there are not enough to achieve operations performance to cover the entire system. Therefore, in order to maximize performance or to improve sustainability across the companies, it is necessary to rebuild the existing system with process perspective not with existing functional perspective. This study was performed to achieve the objective that is operation performance improvement of certification body. So literature review was researched and analyed about the process innovation and the process approach. And basic model which is compatible with ISO/IEC 17021 requirement for the certification body was established in this study. Based on this model, one of the certification body was selected and operation system for this organization was established, documented and implemented through the process approach method. In the result, operations performance of certification body on the side of efficiency and effectiveness is analyzed and the effect of reconstruction of system on operations performance was figured out
A Study on Supply Chain Management Evaluation Model and Simulation Model

Considering the supply system and operating cost of enterprises which are in the supply chain as the main index, this paper establishes a supply chain evaluation model, and utilizes Arena building stimulation model of the supply chain which considers manufacturing enterprises as the core of supply chain. This model designs a generic simulation model of the supply chain including multi-level distributors and suppliers. And the model analyzes a representative example of business process, one of the enterprises in Shandong.
Test-Retest Reliability of Paper-Pencil Test for Investigating Stereotypes of Controls of Passenger Cars

This study aims to investigate test-retest reliability or reproducibility of the paper-pencil test for investigating stereotypes of seven principal controls of passenger cars. The controls include wiper, head light, high beam, door window, ignition key, door key and door lock. Sixty two college-aged students participated in the paper-pencil tests and the tests were conducted twice with an in-between period of 4 weeks. The results showed that the stereotypes of motion-directions for the seven controls by the two paper-pencil tests were the same, and that the percentage agreements between two tests by subjects were ranged from 60.0% to 80.6%. There was a weak linear relationship between averaged rates of responses for the stereotypes of motion-directions for the seven controls and percentage agreements by subjects. Based on these results, it is concluded that the paper-pencil test collects reliable or reproducible data on the stereotypes of motion-directions for passenger cars' controls within four weeks.
A Study on Priority Setting for Promising Technology in Division of Senior Friendly Product using the AHP

The purpose of this paper is an application of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) in the priority setting of promising technology in division of senior friendly product based on the previous studies. In this paper, the decision criteria for evaluating promising technologies in division of senior friendly product are identified and the hierarchical structure of decision making process is developed systematically. Subsequently the values of weights for relative importance among decision criteria are derived using AHP methodology, and the score of importance of promising technology in division of senior friendly product with respect to each criterion is evaluated. Finally the score of each promising technology in division of senior friendly product is quantified in order to prioritize them. We discuss implications of our results with a viewpoint of technology policy in division of senior friendly product.
Review and Application of Creative Problem-Solving Processes for Technical and Physical Contradictions Using Cause-And-Effect Contradiction Tree and Integrated Principles of TRIZ

A creative innovation and an innovative problem-solving of industrial companies can be achieved by overcoming the challenges of technical and physical contradictions. The approaches to address conflicting and paradoxical problems, such as technical and physical contradictions have a crucial role in advancing the quality assessment for manufacturer and service provider. The term, technical contradiction, depicts the state that improvement of one ends of IFR (Ideal Final Result) leads to unfavorable condition of the other ends, and results in conflicting problem. Another type of contradictions that's discussed in this study is a physical contradiction which is due to two mutually opposing states of the means of ends, and gives paradoxical situation. By integrating the means-ends chain perspectives, the physical contradiction that is a specifically root-causes, "means", can be initially addressed to resolve the downstream problem of technical contradiction which represents a general and abstract goals, "ends". This research suggests IFR resolution processes to handle both physical contradiction of means and technical contradiction of ends by employing causal relationship with IFR, effects and causes. In summary, the study represents three major processes that resolve such contradictions are demonstrated as follows: 1) Derivation of causal and hierarchical relationship among IFR, ends and means by considering CAED (Cause-And-Effect Diagram) and LT (Logic Tree). 2) Identification of causal relationship between physical contradiction and technical contradiction by using TPCT (TRIZ Physical Contradiction Tree) and TCD (Technical Contradiction Diagram). 3) Application of integrated TRIZ principles by classifying 40 inventive principles into 4 general conditions of the separation principle of mutually opposite states in space, in time, based on conditions, and between the parts and the whole. In order to validate the proof of proposed IFR resolution processes, the analysis of the TRIZ case studies from National Quality Circle Contest in the years, 2011 to 2014 have been proposed. The suggested guidelines that are built based on TRIZ principles can uniquely enhance the process of quality innovation and assessment for quality practitioners.
A Comparative Study on the Energy Efficiency due to the Capacity of Gas Boiler

Depending on the living styles, the types of energy consumed by households have changed, and the consumption has increased rapidly. Consequently, those have led to environmental issues, such as exhaustion of energy and the climate changes. As one of solutions to such issues, energy efficiency can be approached. Therefore, in this study, the gas water heater(115S type Rheem products) that made in Germany and obtain hot water using gas as a heat source is selected. a
water tank with a 6kW electronic heater is installed and a water temperature and pressure is maintain constantly also thermometer is injected. Two of gas meter, one of pressure regulator and three of time measurement devices are installed in a combustion facility and fuelling facility with a magnet valve so it can observe and record combustion reactions. Quantity of hot water that heated by boiler is recorded using a quantity measurement tank, and have been heated by the boiler have been to record and measure the amount and utilized the data acquired through measurement of all factors that are applied to acquire hot water in order to calculate the use rate of final energy. In conclusion, this researcher drew the economic strong points of the hot water generated by gas.

Using a progressive die of the multi-stage drawing product, It was experiments for the Influence of the Products Roundness on the die pad process Safety die model, obstacle countermeasure research safety die design When the die pad is independent structure, Sidewall thickness of the inside 2stage, 3stage, 4stage of the product is thicker, the thickness of the inside 1stage and the bottom is thinner. it was become unstable beacuse the inside 1stage related to the Products Roundness is thinner. When the die pad is Integrated structure, Sidewall thickness of the inside 1stage, 2stage of the product is thicker, and Sidewall 3stage and 4stage was a thin. it was become unstable beacuse the inside 3stage related to the Products Roundness is thinner. Therefore, The appropriate combination of and integrated independent is required for each process.
A Study on Analysis Method of Warranty Data Using Multivariate Model

The purpose of the warranty data analysis can be classified into two categories. Two goals is a failure cause analysis and life prediction analysis. In this paper first, we applied multivariate analysis method that can be estimated in consideration of various factors on the failure cause warranty data. In particular, we apply the Tree model and Cox model. The advantage of the Tree is easy to interpret this result as compared to other models. In addition Cox model can quantitatively express the risk. Second, this paper proposed a multivariate life prediction model (AFT) considering a variety of factors. By applying the actual warranty data confirmed the usability.
