Analysis on The Actual Conditions of Safety Management about Small & Midium sized Company

Small & medium sized company is the most efficient way of management to prevent my accident in the area of industry. Employees are more than 30 to less than 50 persons and which is liable for securing a safety manager on site, is gradually seen on the surface. Even a small company is nothing less than a dead zone from a safety since it's free from his obligation of employing a safety manager. Let us now think about the effective measures against a industrial accident by collecting, reviewing a variety of preventive measures, which is being carried out for preventing an industrial accident happening in a small company, and comparing, analyzing the effect according to the respective measures. Through this research, it's expected to contribute to both the development of small & medium sized company and our national economy with the improvement of a company's competitiveness and the accumulation of technical background by way of prevention from occurring industrial accident in a small & medium sized company, in accordance with an friendly environment of work room to protect the employee from leaving his job.
A study on the safety supervision team's efficient using at construction site

As there are more accidents which are more serious in construction site than other industries, it needs the safety management system to be SLIM on the same time, There are still lots of difficulties to prevent those accidents exactly, so it also needs a safety supervision team to prevent the accident, unsafe operation and condition before happening, which is also called as a Man-to-Man safety management method. The range of the job site in one personnel's management is very big and large, so it needs the personnel to keep watch the safety operation and prevent any unsafe/fire accidents. Also the personnel also should find out the unsafe points in the job site, and carefully supervise the dead angle site, then support the totally safety management POINT and realize the ZERO accident.
A Study on Propose to Evaluation Method for Process Safety in Manufacturing

In manufacturing industry of the modem industrial society, people increasingly become concerned the awareness of safety increasingly although they have regarded production the most important factor. Even though, as people make efforts on accident preventions, the number of accidents is decreasing, fatal major industry accidents are rather thanincreasing so that the number of deaths has not decreased. Under these conditions, there is an attempt to introduce and perform the process safety management system as a means for keeping from major industry accidents. However, it leaves to be desired on the methods of measuring process safety in the general manufacturing industry, while it is available to do that in the chemistry industry. Therefore, in this paper, we analysis processes of manufacturing industry in safety point of view and suggest the technique efficiently measuring and managing each process. Proposed the technique shows that the specification on safety determines AHP weight through the managers of firms and each process is suggested by using normalized matrix.
A Study on Application of Safety Management to Supply Chain

Both supply chain management and safety management contribute to strengthening a company's competitiveness. However, there is no previous research that considers supply chain management and safety management simultaneously The objective of this research is to study on application of safety management to supply chain. In this paper, the concept of supply chain safety management is defined. Based on the concept of supply chain safety management, supply chain safety management model is developed that consists of supply safety management, production safety management, storage safety management, and distribution safety management. In order to apply supply chain safety management, a methodology is developed that consists of four phases. Applying the supply chain safety management model, it is expected a company to lower cost as well as to raise customer satisfaction level.
Determination of Tolerance Specifications Considering Safety Design

This paper is to propose various safety design models of tolerance specifications with different consumer requirements. In these models, tolerance specifications can be jointly determined by considering all the stochastic, economic, robust and engineering safety design factors with various characteristics of interest. In this paper, the proposed models are easily formulated for design engineers.
Factor Analysis on Injured People Using Data Mining Technique

Many researches have been focused on the analysis of industry disasters in order to reduce them. As a similar endeavor, this paper provides a propensity analysis of injured people from various industries using classification and regression tree(CART), a data mining algorithm. The sample for this work was chosen from 25,157data related to various industries during one year (
) at Kangwon-Do in Korea. For the purpose of this paper, eight independent variables (injured date, injured time, injured month, type of Injured person, continuous service period, sex, company size, age)are taken from injured person group. According to the analysis result, it is found that five out of the eight factors that are predicted as significant have salient effects. Factors of season, time/hour, day of the week, or month which disasters happened do not show any significant effect. This paper provides common features of injured people. The provided analysis result will be helpful as a starting point for root cause analysis and reduction of industry disasters and also for development of a guideline of safety management.
Improvements on Injurious Factors of Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders at a Fishcake Manufacturing Company by Ergonomic Approach

The goal of this study is to propose the improved scheme that prevents the workers against musculoskeletal disorders at a fishcake manufacturing company, A questionnaire and an ergonomic assessment method were adopted to analyze the symptoms of workers' musculoskeletal disorders, and an analysis of working postures and a quantitative assessment on various processes were performed to find out harmful factors of workplace. Based on the result of the evaluation, to enhance the working environment, improvement of worktable, working space, tools, and outfit was suggested, and induction of mechanical system was also suggested. Suggested improvement plan was applied to the workplace step by step and it is confirmed that improvement plan can removes the injurious factors of musculoskeletal diseases effectively.
A Study on Loss of Coolant Accident in Nuclear Power Plant Using DOE

The main objective of this paper is to search whether containment vessel's best pressure may increase until how long when loss of coolant accident (LOCA) happened in containment vessel of Ulchin nuclear power plant 1 and 2. Another goal of this research is to find the influential factors that increase containment vessel pressure. Model for this research is Ulchin nuclear power plant 1 with 10 cycles. Data were collected by simulator of Ulchin nuclear power plant 1 and design of experiment was used for data analysis. For the experiment, seven factors that are going to influence in containment vessel pressure were chosen. It was found that fatter which influences in early rise of containment vessel pressure after LOCA is only explosion size. Also, containment vessel's best pressure (3.74 bar.a) was much lower than limit (4.86 bar.a) of FSAR (Final Safety Analysis Report).
Analysis of Likelihood of Failure for the Thinning of High Temperature Sulfide and Naphthenic Acid Corrosion through Risk Based Inspection using API-581

The likelihood of failure for the thinning of high temperature sulfide and naphthenic acid corrosion, which affect to a risk of facilities, was analyzed through the risk based inspection using API-581 BRD. We found that the corrosion rate was increased with increasing temperature and total acid number(TAN). And maximum value of the technical module subfactor(TMSF) was not varied with operating condition, but the TMSF was sensitively changed at the range of low temperature, low flow rate, and high TAN. Also, the TMSF was increased as an used year and inspection effectiveness increased, but it was increased as thickness, inspection number, and over design decreased.
A Study on the Strategy of Six Sigma by Balanced Score Card for Improving Reliability of Company

Even though, the recent management innovation techniques: The 'Six-Sigma' and the 'BSC (Balanced Score Card)' are introduced to many different companies and are used very effectively, Based on the company's substantial and unique characteristics, the quality and the strategies on management are showing the reliability limits in applications in the company. Therefore, the Integrated Management System is presenting a model for stable application of the, activity in the Six-Sigma based on the theoretical notions of the BSC.

A case study of 6sigma application for the reliability in SPI based on SPICE

The international SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability determination) Project ISO/IEC 15504(SPICE : Software Process Improvement and Capability determination) is an emerging International Standard on SPA(Software Process Assessment). A prime motivation for developing this standard has been the perceived need for an internationally recognized software process assessment framework that pulls together the existing public and proprietary models and methods. A SPICE assessment can be considered as one of representative SPA model since assessors assign ratings to indicators and metrics to measure the capability of software process. But this models doesn't provide a systematic measurement procedures and dynamic method for SPI(Software Process Improvement). Through the evaluation of SPICE is capable of providing a substantiated basis for using the notion of capability, as well as providing information for nacessary improvements to the standard using 6sigma process. As a result, this paper propose a measurement procedure and guidelines for application of 6sigma process to guarantee the reliability in SPI and suggest the structure to support SPI on overall organization.
A Decision-making Model for SCM System Selection

Supply Chain Management(SCM) system is a critical investment that can affect future competitiveness and performance of a company. Selection of a right SCM system is one of the critical issues. This paper provides the characteristic factors of SCM system selection and the SCM system evaluation and selection model based on Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The proposed model can systematically construct the objectives of SCM system selection to support the business goals. A empirical example demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed model and the model can help a company to make better decision-making in selecting SCM system.

Recently, Vendor Managed Inventory(VMI) has been commonly recognized as one of the supply chain application that delivers clear value to the sectors of electic & electronic components. VMI is a process in which a supplier generates orders for its distributor based on demand information sent by the distributor. VMI is providing the benefits of smoother demand, lower inventories(work in process, safety stock) and reduced costs. This study focused on improvement of safety level inventory efficiency by VMI. The results indicated that VMI allowed the company to serve its customers more surely and efficiently.
A Study on Security, Interaction and Navigation Functionality for Customer Trust on Line - focus on internet bookshops -

In recent years, electronic commerce has provided another access for consumers to purchase products. Shopping on line provides much information and less searching cost for customers, but some researches have pointed out that there are difficulties for companies to do business on web. For lack of trust, many people not prefer purchasing through virtual channels. Based on the literature review, this study aims at empirically testing the impact of website design on individual trust in internet firms. From statistic analysis, we will conclude that security, interaction, and navigation functionality will affect on-line trust. The result of this study may provide some managerial implications, especially for firms which want to enter on-line businesses.
A Study on the Reliability Improvement of the Integrated System and Sensitivity Analysis for Line Capacity

Line capacity calculation has been used to determine optimum efficiency and safe train service for train scheduling plan and investment priority order throughout detecting bottleneck section. Because of some problems of Yamagisi and UIC methods for line capacity calculation, developing of the method of line capacity caculation and evaluation for the Korea circumstance is important. This paper deals with the reliability improvement on the integrated system of TPS(Train Performance Simulator), PES(Parameter Evaluation Simulator), LCS(Line Capacity Simulator) and simulation and sensitivity analysis for line capacity.
Reliability Analysis of Complex Bridge System

Three general algorithms for evaluating the reliability for complex bridge system are proposed. These methods, such as Keystone, Boolean, Network algorithms are powerful and effective to derive an reliability expression for many practical complex systems. The combination approach of RBD and FTA proposed in this paper provides an effective way to evaluate the functional dependency for applications of FMEA.
A Study on Fireing condition analysis of celadon porcelain for reliability manufacturing

The purpose of this study is to identify the best firing condition for Celadon, which is one of the famous traditional pottery to represent Korean culture, by minimizing energy consumption, cutting firing time, shortening the time of processing ceramic making, in order to, save energy as well as to protect the potters' health. Most Korean potter starts their reduction from

at a time. Then the results are analyzed to be compared to previous Celadon, in colors, chroma, and brightness. As a results, it is found, that the best temperature for starting reduction is
, when chroma and brightness values to meet same with previous celadon. Therefore the best condition could be made by starting the reduction on
to fire celadon, which would have shorten 2 hours of firing process and, at the same time, it could have saved the energy by 12%.
