Journal of the Korean society of Fisheries Technology , volume 33, issue 2, 1997, Pages 90~96
Until now the research was usually related in the fishing basket for crab charybdis japonica, concentrated one's effort to modification on the construction, shape, number of entrance of fishing basket etc.. But there's not make good used to the basically habit, shelter behavior of crab. etc., and was not fundamentally modified to the ability attracting the crab on net fishing basket. In this paper, first of all investigated to the behavior of crab in water tank and then two types modification fishing baskets could the increasing to ability attracting of crab on fishing basket were designed from the result obtained in this experiment and compared with modificated net fishing basket by Kim.Go(1987.1990) at a field and tank experiment. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. Being the fishing baskets had dropped in the tank bottom, the touched rate and reacted rate of crab according the elapsed time agree with to experiment of Kim.Go(1987.1990)in the mainly. however, in case of plate type tangle net, the touched rate of crab increased for a short time and then decreased and the reacted rate increased in a hurry to show a maximum and then was established. 2. The beginning catch time of crab was shortest in the plate type tangle net than the any fishing baskets because it's immediately entangled if the crab was touched only a part of body on net and latest in the net fishing basket. 3. A distance of between the touched rate and the reacted rate curve were the most short, wide in the plate type tangle net. therefore, the ability attracting of crab was excellent than the any fishing baskets and in case of pipe type fishing baskets, between the 150mm and 250mm seemed not difference and showed a tendency to increasing against the net fishing baskets. 4. Pipe type fishing baskets seemed to become a good shelting place for the crab because it showed a tendency to stagnate at the inside in that. 5. The mean catch per pot of crab among the net fishing basket, pipe type fishing baskets, plate type tangle net were highest in the pipe type fishing baskets than the net fishing basket and lowest plate type tangle net. Therefore it showed to difference against the tank experiment.
Distribution and Spawning of the Yellow Goosefish , Lophius litulon
Journal of the Korean society of Fisheries Technology , volume 33, issue 2, 1997, Pages 97~108
Variation of the catches and fishing grounds, and spawning ecology of Lophius litulon caught by large staw net were investigated from following as ; L. litulon caught through the year, and the peak in catches showed on January in winter, and the lowest catches showed on August in summer. The fishing grounds of L. litulon were located in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea. And the main fishing ground was formed in the adjacent waters of Ilhyang-cho, where catches and CPUE were more than 50 M/T, 5 kg/haul, respectively, and the range of coefficient of variation(C.V) was 0.6~0.7. The spawning season of L. litulon was on March and April, when spawning area was formed in waters between Ilhyang-Cho and Cheju-Do. The fishing grounds distribution of L. litulon was obviously different with seasonal variation. Namely, in winter, the fishing grounds were mainly formed in the western waters of Cheju-Do, and on March and April( in spawning season), the fishing grounds were densely formed in the adjacent waters of Ilhyang-Cho, and after May, the fishing grounds were widely dispersed towards in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea with temperature upgrade.
Behavior of Fish School to the Set-Net

Journal of the Korean society of Fisheries Technology , volume 33, issue 2, 1997, Pages 109~117
In order to hold the behavior of fish school to the set-net, a series of tag-recapture experiments were carried out in two fishing grounds of the middle sized set-nets which were located in 20m depth on the coast of Keojedo and Namhaedo in the Southern part of Korea from September to October in 1996. In the experiments, the leading ability of the leader and the fish court and the recapturing ability of the bag nets were checked out for the six species of fish in method of discharging the tagged fishes at side points of leader, and the middle points of the fish court and the bag nets in a hauling step, and recapturing them at the bag nets in the next hauling. The results obtained are as follows; 1. The ratio recaptured at the both side bag-nets in the next hauling after discharged from the fish court in the previous step was 20.3% in small size of mackerel Scomber japonicus, 16.2% in small size of horse mackerel Trachurus japonicus, 10.3% in black sea-bream Acanthopagrus schlegelii, 19.1% in red barracuda Syhyraena pinguis, 16.3% in halfbeak Hemiramphus sajori, 20.0% in gizzard shad Konosirus punctatus individually, and totally in six species of fish, that was 17.2%. 2. The ratio recaptured at the same bag net after discharged in the both side bag-nets was 21.7% in small size of mackerel, 21.5% in small size of horse mackerel, 6.7% in black sea-bream, 17.8% in red barracuda, 16.8 in half-beak, 19.1% in gizzard shad individually, and totally in six species of fish, that was 18.8%. 3. The leading ratio from side points of the leader departed from door in 25m to fish court was 58.9% in small size of mackerel, 74.6% in small size of horse mackerel, 38.0% in black sea-bream, 54.7% in red barracuda, 58.6% in half-beak, 54.5% in gizzard shad individually, and totally in six species of fish, that was 57.8%. So it was assumed that the leader of set-net was very effective in leading to the swimming direction of small size of mackerel, small size of horse mackerel, red barracuda, half-beak and gizzard shad. 4. Red barracuda, half-beak and gizzard shad entered into bag net of upstream in large numbers than bag net of downstream, and small size of horse mackerel and black sea-bream entered into bag net of downstream in large numbers than bag net of upstream. 5. Small size of mackerel and small size of horse mackerel had high remaining rate in the bag net of downstream, and black sea-bream, red barracuda and half-beak had high remaining rate in the bag net of upstream.

Journal of the Korean society of Fisheries Technology , volume 33, issue 2, 1997, Pages 118~131
An opening efficiency experiment of anchovy boat seine has been carried out using a half size of the ordinary seine to reduce the size of the seine net and to improve the fishing efficiency from field operation. The intervals of towing boats were set at 100, 200 and 300m, and the towing speed, at 0.6, 0.9, and 1.2k't by possible combinations of them. The vertical openings of wing net, inside wing net, bagnet and flapper as well as the spreads of the seine net and the towing tension of the warp were measured, to find out efficient fishing gear and method of the anchovy boat seine. The results obtained are as follows : 1. The vertical opening of the inside wing net ranged from 8.7m to 12.0m at the normal current and from 7.0m to 10.0m at the counter current, and that of the wing net, from 8.4m to 19.8m at the normal current and from 4.9m to 16.3m at the counter current. The vertical opening of the wing net and inside wing net decreased as the towing speed and intervals of the boats increase, from 66% to 16% and from 32% to 18% of the normal opening, respectively. 2. The vertical opening of the fore of bag net ranged from 7.9m to 12.8m at the normal current and from 7.4m to 9.7m at the counter current, and that of the flapper, from 3.4m to 5.1m at the normal current and from 4.4m to 5.1m at the counter current, and that of the flapper, from 3.4m to 5.1m at the normal current and from 4.4m to 5.1m at the counter current. The vertical opening of the bag net was from 98% to 57% of the normal opening and the flapper showed a circular shape and it rose up to the upper layer with a slower towing speed. 3. The vertical opening of the end of the bag net ranged from 7.1m to 9.3m at the normal current and from 7.4m to 8.8m at the counter current. The end of the bag net rose up to the upper layer, This phenomenon was more apparent as the towing speed and the interval of the boats increase. 4. The towing tension of the experimental nets increased from 648kg to 2,716kg at the normal current and from 1,050kg to 6,010kg at the counter current with increasing towing speed. 5. The net depth of the anchovy seine was stable with the higher towing speed and the wider interval of the boats, but it was unstable by rising up to the upper layer with the lower towing speed and the narrower interval of towing boats.
A Study on the Telemetry System of Temperature and Salinity
Journal of the Korean society of Fisheries Technology , volume 33, issue 2, 1997, Pages 132~140
The basic experiment on the telemetry system of temperature and salinity, which is a study for the effective management of costal fishing-ground nowadays, was carried of 8 days from April 5, 6, 26, 27 , 1996 to May 31 and June 1, 21, 22, 1996 at the fish farm of Yooksam at Samyang-Myun, tongyongkun(34。45.02'N, 128。24.79'E). The results obtained were as follows : 1. The average temperature and salinity of STD of telemetry system was coincided with that of ICTD system calibration precisely. 2. A daily variation of temperature in fish cage which was measured by the telemetry system was influenced mainly by sunrise and sunset. 3. A daily variation of salinity in fish cage which was measured by the telemetry system was influenced mainly by tidal current. 4. The fish school in fish cage was distributed mainly 2~7 m layer during daylight and was arisen to the surface at sunset, was settled down to the bottom at sunrise.

This paper is concerned with the vibration control of multi-layer structure for ultra-tall buildings and main tower of large bridge etc. We have modeled the multi-layer structure with the distributed mass system as the lumped mass system of two-degree-of-freedom structure and made experimental equipment. The LQ optimal control theory is applied to the design of the control system. The designed control system is simulated by computer. As a result, the LQ regulator showed good vibration control performance with impact excitation.
