Selection Based Cooperative Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio

In this paper, we propose an effective method for cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radios where cognitive user(CR) with the highest reliability sensing data is only selected and allowed to report its local decision to FC as only decision making node. The proposed scheme enables CR users to implicitly compare their sensing data reliabilities based on their likelihood ratio, without any collaboration among cognitive radio users. Due to the mechanism, the proposed cooperative scheme can achieves a high spectrum sensing performance while only requiring extremely low cooperation resources such as signaling overhead and cooperative time in comparison with other existing methods such as maximum ratio combination (MRC) based, equal gain combination (EGC) based and conventional hard combination based cooperative sensing methods.
Analysis and Prediction Algorithms on the State of User's Action Using the Hidden Markov Model in a Ubiquitous Home Network System

This paper proposes an algorithm that predicts the state of user's next actions, exploiting the HMM (Hidden Markov Model) on user profile data stored in the ubiquitous home network. The HMM, recognizes patterns of sequential data, adequately represents the temporal property implicated in the data, and is a typical model that can infer information from the sequential data. The proposed algorithm uses the number of the user's action performed, the location and duration of the actions saved by "Activity Recognition System" as training data. An objective formulation for the user's interest in his action is proposed by giving weight on his action, and change on the state of his next action is predicted by obtaining the change on the weight according to the flow of time using the HMM. The proposed algorithm, helps constructing realistic ubiquitous home networks.
An Indoor Location Estimation Method Selection Algorithm based on environment of moving object

Recently, ubiquitous computing and related technologies is more and more growing concern about. Depending on the trend, the moving object recognition and tracking research have been required in order to meet the diverse needs of the user. In the location-based services, one of the most important issues in the indoor environment is to provide location-aware services. In this paper, the effective algorithm to help estimate the position of moving objects in an indoor environment is proposed. We propose an algorithm that combined the existing trilateration measurement and the improved measurement of environmental adaptation scene analysis. The proposed indoor location estimation algorithm use the trilateration measurement when we have enough anchor in the line-of-sight environment. Otherwise that use measurement of environmental adaptation scene analysis. Consequently, the proposed algorithm has been improved the localization accuracy of a moving object as well as was able to reduce complexity of the algorithm.
API Design and Webpage Mapping for GPS NMEA based Google Map

In this paper, NMEA based Parser programming for Smart-phone was designed at a GPS receiver. The design scheme for Map API and sensor web services was designed according to the Google Map API standards that the position values of NMEA sentences were changed due to XML files. As a result of interfaces between GPS NMEA sentences of Smart-phone and Google Map API, it is possible that real time visual positioning sensor web services about the Google Map mapping from a GPS receiver could be worked on web sever.
Adaptive Image Converting for More Efficient Mobile Web Service

The importance of data service with mobile is becoming more and more significant with the development of wireless network. However, due to the several type of mobile devices and contents, there is a problem that mobile contents should be edited according to the features of the mobile devices and the service providers. Fortunately, there is some solutions that convert mobile contents automatically according to mobile operator. Nevertheless, it has some issues that the response time of content service is delayed when converting mobile contents in real-time. In this paper, we propose an image cache replacement algorithm for minizing the volume of the real-time image transformation. Also, using both of the pre-conversion method and the real-time conversion method to improve storage space and response time.
On Relocation of Hopping Sensors for High Reliability Wireless Sensor Networks

When some sensors under Wireless Sensor Networks fail or become energy-exhausted, redundant mobile sensors might be moved to recover the sensing holes. Within rugged terrain where wheeled sensors are unsuitable, other type of mobile sensors, such as hopping sensors, are needed. In this paper, we address the problem of relocating hopping sensors to the detected sensing holes. Recent study for this work considered the relocation using the shortest path between clusters; however, the shortest path might be used repeatedly and create other sensing holes. In order to overcome the mentioned problem, we propose relocation schemes using the most disjointed paths or multi-paths. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes guarantee more balanced migration distributions of efficient sensors and higher movement success ratios of required sensors than those of the shortest path-based scheme.
Improvement of Service Location Discovery and Download Protocol in Wide Area Network

To make service location protocol of IETF which is to be used in the wide area network to discover the location of desired service when computing resources are connected to the network, and to support simless connectivity between wired and wireless network in service viewpoint, to support the diversity trend of service agents in WIF, it needs to improve SLP, so as to add Liaison Agent and Forwarding Agent with FAAdvert message that is to communicate in between those entities. LA entity confirms the location of service located in wide area network, and FA transfers service information. The usage of existing messages such as SrvRqst, SrvRply, AttrRqst, AttrRply, DAAdvert, SrvReg, SrvAck, SrvDeReg is same as ever in wide area service network. The behaviors of improved protocol is modeled into petri-net and prove that it is free of deadlock and live-lock by execution of the model.
Concept Network-based Personalized Web Search Systems

In general, conventional search engines provide the same search results for the same queries of users, and however such techniques do not consider users' characteristics. To overcome this problem, we need a new way of personalized search which returns customized search results according to users' preference. In this paper, we propose a concept network profile-based personalized web search system in which the concept network is developed for accumulating users' characteristics. The concept network-based user profile is used to expand initial search queries to achieve personalized search. The concept network is a network structure of concepts where each concept is generated whenever each query is submitted, and it can be defined as a set of keywords extracted from the selected documents. Furthermore, we have improved the concept networks by augmenting intent keywords of each concept with a set of classification tags, called folksonomy, assigned to each document. For an additional personalized search technique, we propose a new re-ranking method that analayzes the degree of overlapped search results.
Control Signal Transmission Scheme Using OFDM PTS Embedded Side Information in Cognitive Radio System

Wireless services and devices that use frequency increase more and more because of advancement of the industry. Therefore, the available spectrum band becomes increasingly insufficient. Cognitive Radio, which adaptively utilizes the vacant licensed spectrum band, is considered as an effective way to utilize the spectrum resource shortage. CR user should move from current allocated channel to vacant channel to avoid the interference to the primary user when the primary user appears in the current channel. In this case, CR system undergoes the break off time until handshake is completed. So, in order to guarantee the Quality of Service(QoS) of CR system, fast handshake method is required. In this paper, we propose the embedded control signal transmission technique to reduce the break off time. This method can transmit the control signals in data transmission period as well as the broadcasting period. Proposed method can improve the data throughput and decrease the break off time. Computer based simulation proves that our proposed scheme outperforms conventional one.
Attack Detection in Recommender Systems Using a Rating Stream Trend Analysis

The recommender system analyzes users' preference and predicts the users' preference to items in order to recommend various items such as book, movie and music for the users. The collaborative filtering method is used most widely in the recommender system. The method uses rating information of similar users when recommending items for the target users. Performance of the collaborative filtering-based recommendation is lowered when attacker maliciously manipulates the rating information on items. This kind of malicious act on a recommender system is called 'Recommendation Attack'. When the evaluation data that are in continuous change are analyzed in the perspective of data stream, it is possible to predict attack on the recommender system. In this paper, we will suggest the method to detect attack on the recommender system by using the stream trend of the item evaluation in the collaborative filtering-based recommender system. Since the information on item evaluation included in the evaluation data tends to change frequently according to passage of time, the measurement of changes in item evaluation in a fixed period of time can enable detection of attack on the recommender system. The method suggested in this paper is to compare the evaluation stream that is entered continuously with the normal stream trend in the test cycle for attack detection with a view to detecting the abnormal stream trend. The proposed method can enhance operability of the recommender system and re-usability of the evaluation data. The effectiveness of the method was verified in various experiments.
Refining Initial Seeds using Max Average Distance for K-Means Clustering

Clustering methods is divided into hierarchical clustering, partitioning clustering, and more. If the amount of documents is huge, it takes too much time to cluster them in hierarchical clustering. In this paper we deal with K-Means algorithm that is one of partitioning clustering and is adequate to cluster so many documents rapidly and easily. We propose the new method of selecting initial seeds in K-Means algorithm. In this method, the initial seeds have been selected that are positioned as far away from each other as possible.
Analysis of multi-dimensional interaction among SNS users

Social Network Service(SNS) has become a hot trend as a web service which helps users construct social relationships in the web and enables online communication. The information about user activities and behaviors obtained from the SNSs is expected to be an useful knowledge source for other services such as recommendation services. Most of previous researches on SNS rely on analyzing overall network topology and surveying the activities in a one-dimensional aspect. This paper propose a system for measuring multi-dimensional interaction through the activities in a SNS. The proposed system delivers an unified profile (consisting of profile and multi-dimension interaction) model from user-activities in Twitter.com. At the experimental section, some meaningful perspectives on a set of the unified profiles are described.
Proxy Server Providing Multi-level Privileges for Network Cameras on the Video Surveillance System

This paper introduces security problems on the video surveillance systems where the network cameras are equipped at remote places and isolated from the updated and secure environment and proposes a framework for a proxy server that is delegated to connect to network cameras by providing a secure connections from the clients. The server in the framework is deployed within a secure network, secretes the information for connection to cameras and authenticates the clients. Additionally, it provides a secure video service incorporating multi-level privileges for both images and clients through a encryption key distribution and management facility. Through an implementation of the server and a its deployment, it was proved that In this server implement to multi network camera and we confirm compare direct access to network camera equal video quality of service and it can be protection network camera. We expect that can be secure and integral management about traditional network camera through experimental result.
Implementation of u-Care System Based on Multi-Sensor in u-Home Environment

As the number of elderly people living alone has been increasing in the recent years, systems for their safety have been required, and some related services or pilot systems have been operating. These systems provide the monitoring service for the activities of the elderly people living alone with indoor location tracking technology using the various sensors. However, most systems provide services on expensive infrastructure such as attached tags and mobile devices. In this point, this paper attempts to suggest a system based on low cost sensors to collect event data in home environment. And a main characteristic of the system is that people can monitor the results of provided services through web browser in real time and the system can provide related context information to guardians and health care managers through SMS of mobile phone.
Analyzing Service Quality Factors for Affecting Government 2.0 Users' Satisfaction

The purpose of this study is to present the direction of improving the Korean Government 2.0 services by evaluating the quality of the service and analyzing its effects on user satisfaction. Recently, on the extension of e-government, Government 2.0, which is the government service combined with Web 2.0, has emerged as a new paradigm. However, there are very few studies on the impact of Government 2.0 on general society and industries. Especially, there is little or no practical analysis and evaluation for the quality of Government 2.0 service. Because the service quality is typically used as the leading indicator of user satisfaction, this study applies it to the Government 2.0 for the validation of the existingtheory in a particular subject. The service quality was measured by the tangibles, reliability, responsiveness of revised SERVQUAL, the efficiency and security of the E-S-QUAL. Inconclusion, this study has empirically significant implications for providing a theoretical foundation for measuring the quality of the Government 2.0 service.
