New Sequential Clustering Combination for Rule Generation System

In this paper, we propose a new clustering combination based on numerical data driven for rule generation mechanism. In large and complicated space, a clustering method can obtain limited performance results. To overcome the single clustering method problem, hybrid combined methods can solve problem to divided simple cluster estimation. Fundamental structure of the proposed method is combined by mountain clustering and modified Chen clustering to extract detail cluster information in complicated data distribution of non-parametric space. It has automatic rule generation ability with advanced density based operation when intelligent systems including neural networks and fuzzy inference systems can be generated by clustering results. Also, results of the mechanism will be served to information of decision support system to infer the useful knowledge. It can extend to healthcare and medical decision support system to help experts or specialists. We show and explain the usefulness of the proposed method using simulation and results.
Impact Analysis of nonverbal multimodals for recognition of emotion expressed virtual humans

Virtual human used as HCI in digital contents expresses his various emotions across modalities like facial expression and body posture. However, few studies considered combinations of such nonverbal multimodal in emotion perception. Computational engine models have to consider how a combination of nonverbal modal like facial expression and body posture will be perceived by users to implement emotional virtual human, This paper proposes the impacts of nonverbal multimodal in design of emotion expressed virtual human. First, the relative impacts are analysed between different modals by exploring emotion recognition of modalities for virtual human. Then, experiment evaluates the contribution of the facial and postural congruent expressions to recognize basic emotion categories, as well as the valence and activation dimensions. Measurements are carried out to the impact of incongruent expressions of multimodal on the recognition of superposed emotions which are known to be frequent in everyday life. Experimental results show that the congruence of facial and postural expression of virtual human facilitates perception of emotion categories and categorical recognition is influenced by the facial expression modality, furthermore, postural modality are preferred to establish a judgement about level of activation dimension. These results will be used to implementation of animation engine system and behavior syncronization for emotion expressed virtual human.
Air Threat Evaluation System using Fuzzy-Bayesian Network based on Information Fusion

Threat Evaluation(TE) which has air intelligence attained by identifying friend or foe evaluates the target's threat degree, so it provides information to Weapon Assignment(WA) step. Most of TE data are passed by sensor measured values, but existing techniques(fuzzy, bayesian network, and so on) have many weaknesses that erroneous linkages and missing data may fall into confusion in decision making. Therefore we need to efficient Threat Evaluation system that can refine various sensor data's linkages and calculate reliable threat values under unpredictable war situations. In this paper, we suggest new threat evaluation system based on information fusion JDL model, and it is principle that combine fuzzy which is favorable to refine ambiguous relationships with bayesian network useful to inference battled situation having insufficient evidence and to use learning algorithm. Finally, the system's performance by getting threat evaluation on an air defense scenario is presented.
Ontology and Text Mining-based Advanced Historical People Finding Service

Semantic web is utilized to construct advanced information service by using semantic relationships between entities. Text mining can be applied to generate semantic relationships from unstructured data resources. In this study, ontology schema guideline, ontology instance generation, disambiguation of same name by text mining and advanced historical people finding service by reasoning have been proposed. Various relationships between historical event, organization, people, which are created by domain experts, are linked to literatures of National Institute of Korean History (NIKH). It improves the effectiveness of user access and proposes advanced people finding service based on relationships. In order to distinguish between people with the same name, we compares the structure and edge, nodes of personal social network. To provide additional information, external resources including thesaurus and web are linked to all of internal related resources as well.
Design of e-Learning System in N-Screen Environment

The appearance of Intelligent mobile and home appliance increased the using of not only various multimedia contents but also educational contents. Especially the growth of smart device such as smart phone, smart pad and smart TV, provided the environment which everyone can use educational content anytime, anywhere, any device. However many smart devices are hard to reuse the various educational contents because the devices and mobile os policies are not unify. In this paper, we suggest the design of NeS(N-Screen e-learning system) in order to solve this problem. NeS is consisted of User Management, Educational Content Management, Content Convert System and Interactive Management System. In this system, we use the HTML5 language to assure interoperability in various Smart Device Environment. Through NeS, we can achieve Content OSMU(One Source Multi Use) in various device environment and assure the continuity of the contents for using the educational contents more easily.
A Secure Model for Reading and Writing in Hadoop Distributed File System and its Evaluation

Nowadays, as Cloud computing becomes popular, a need for a DFS(distributed file system) is increased. But, in the current Cloud computing environments, there is no DFS framework that is sufficient to protect sensitive private information from attackers. Therefore, we designed and proposed a secure scheme for distributed file systems. The scheme provides confidentiality and availability for a distributed file system using a secret sharing method. In this paper, we measured the speed of encryption and decryption for our proposed method, and compared them with that of SEED algorithm which is the most popular algorithm in this field. This comparison showed the computational efficiency of our method. Moreover, the proposed secure read/write model is independent of Hadoop DFS structure so that our modified algorithm can be easily adapted for use in the HDFS. Finally, the proposed model is evaluated theoretically using performance measurement method for distributed secret sharing model.
A Study on the Relationships Among Absorptive Capacity of Employees, Organizational Citizenship, SCM performance, and Intention to Innovate

Organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB) are discretionary behaviors of employees, which go beyond that which is required, and are known to be contributing factors of organizational performance. When a supply chain management(SCM) system is implemented, organizational knowledge concerning the global standards, process innovation and key performance indicators(KPI) is also spread out across different, disconnected silos, thus increasing the absorptive and innovative capacity of employees. Therefore, OCB may be an important antecedent to successful operation of supply chain. This paper examines the causal relationships among absorptive capacity of employees, organizational citizenship, SCM performance and intention to innovate in global manufacturing corporations in Korea. Empirical results from 122 survey responses indicate that the organizational citizenship affects the level of SCM performance and absorptive capacity, which, in turn, influences SCM performance. As expected, SCM performance has been found to affect intention to innovate, but absorptive capacity has no impact on intention to innovate. As a conclusion, the academic and practical implications of these findings are discussed.
Development of a Smart Education Model for Field Application of Smart Education

To explore the directions of 'Smart Education', we conduct a delphi survey field experts related to it recognized new educational paradigm of 21st century. As a result we can deduct common ground on educational goal, contents, method, evaluation, environment of 'Smart Education'. On the basis of these results, we develop a Smart Education Model to be able to provide a guide in the field. It is a systemic education model consisting of interrelated educational contents, method, evaluation, and environment of 'Smart Education' organically for education goal (e.g., Smart education should spread out for students living on 21st century to solve the problem with cooperation and communication, enhance creativity, and build their good character). We anticipate that this study will be useful in the field.
Infrastructure-independent Navigation System Using Embedded Map and Built-in Sensors in the Ubiquitous Parking Management

Significant advancements in technology enhanced the reliability of navigation systems that are in use today. The GPS is the most widely used technique for satellite-based location estimation. However, systems based on GPS can only be accurate in providing location data when there is a clear view of the satellites. This paper proposes a self-contained navigation system that does not depend on any tracking infrastructure. Using the built-in sensors of a smartphone and a self-contained map, we implemented an accurate car locator. Evaluation results show that our proposed system outperforms GPS in providing accurate car location assistance.
