A XML Based Conversion System for Secure Message Exchange
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 1~9
As a XML Schema has been settled to W3C as standard at May. 2001 and technologies like as XML. Xpath and NameSpace related with XML has been developing. XML is becoming the standard of the new document exchanging. Due to the ability expressing various types of documentstructure through XML, ebXML, RosettaNet, and BizTalk are using XML as a core technology in the part of e-Business, To make the task automatically in the B2B EC now, a standard XML document is needed. Internal documents in each company should be transformed differently without any loss to work with other companies. In this paper, transforming XML document based on JAVA servlet is considered as realization of a XML system to exchange documents safely.
A Design and Implementation of Service Provider Initiated Multicast Middleware for Reliable Multimedia Data Communication
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 11~18
The IP multicasting service system based on IGMP(Internet Group Management Protocol) is the receiver initiated multicasting system that all receivers must join to and leave from the server of multicasting service. The IGMP is less effective and reliable to apply the education system that all computers of students ore synchronized a teacher's computer. A proposed middle-ware in this paper provides the reliable data transferring and the server initiated multicasting system that client as student's PC is controled by a multicasting server as teacher's PC, This middle-ware is consisted with two major component, The one is the group manager that handle the status informations of members in each group. Another is the reliable sender/receiver that has The transmission protocol based on NAK message and flow control. As the results of the test that 22khz digital voice data and 1024
768 24bit color image data were tested for 30 PCs connected with 100baseT, the voice data was completely without error transferred and the image data was successfully transferred with 0.004% retransmit rate under 2 frames/sec load.
A Study on Multi Agent-Based Workflow Modeling System
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 19~26
Workflow Management Systems(WFMSs) is a software system that supports that specification and execution of business processes. In this paper, we proposed Multi Agent Based Workflow Modeling System which was implemented by Java application. The proposed workflow modeling system is divided into four agents; Session, Organization, Relevant Data. Invoked Application. We adapted ICN(Information Control Net) to check workflow model syntax, And the proposed modeling system provide the function to import/export WPDL which was defined in WfMC.
The Development of Editor for Web Authoring Tool
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 27~36
The purpose of this study is to develop editor applied to vector image for the distance learning system(FVU), which enables teachers effectively to construct self-page on the screen, to reduce the size of file for teaching, and to correct many different kinds of event which was already made in the previous, The design of the editor is used UML and the editor is named VUEditor. The first page which is needed in class can be constructed by using VUEditor. The contents using VUEditor ore exported into VUAuthor through Vector-transformation. Through this procedure, the size of image file comes to be reduced, it has a low bond width. In conclusion, this VUEditor enables user to construct the first page. even without using such applied program as Image Tool and Power Point, to solve the problem of network traffic for reducing size of the file.
An Efficient Versioning Method for XML Document Repository System
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 37~50
XML document repositary system(XDRS) should be able to manage vertical and horizontal versions of documents to store, update and manage XML documents without loss of information, However, most of existing XDRSs do not support a versioning method Although a few systems support versioning method. they only manage vertical versions of XML documents, While the vertical versioning preserves the update history of documents. the horizontal versioning branches a document to many other versions of documents so that users can easily create new documents from the original version and edit them to have different meanings. In this paper, we propose a new version numbering scheme to support both vertical and horizontal versioning efficiently. We also design a schema that supports versioning and preserves the paradigm of structure information.
An Proposal and Evaluation of the New formant Tracking Algorithm for Speech Recognition
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 51~59
For the speech recognition, this paper proposes a improved new formant tracking algorithm The recognition data for the simulation on this paper are used with the Korean digit speech. The recognition rate of the improved algorithm for the Korean digit speech shows 91% for 300 digit speech The effectiveness of this research has been confirmed through recognition simulations.
An Analysis of the Complexity Measurement Factor for a Program
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 61~69
Measurement of the object, messages, clones, capsulation, inheritance, etc. that are conventional object-oriented paradigm characteristics as a method of measurement of the complexity of object-oriented programs has been reported. In this paper, the measures that are helpful to designing and coding of JAVA program, which is the representative language of object-oriented programs, are applied to six measures(i,e., Halstead's Program Volume, Program Level, Program Impurity, Macabe's Cyclomatic Number, Handerson-Seller's lock of cohesion in method and Sullivan's PVG.) suggested in the present study by referring to several actual programs as example for comparative analysis,
Software Component Metris for Complexity, Customizability, and Reusability
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 71~82
Recently. component-based software development is getting accepted in industry as a new effective software development paradigm, Since an introduction of component-based software engineering(CBSE) at later 90's, the CBSD research has focused largely on component modeling, methodology, architecture and platform, However. as the number of components available on the market increases, it becomes more important to make metrics to measure the various characteristics of components. In this paper. we propose metrics for measuring the complexity, customizability, and resuability of software components, Complexity of metrics can be used to evaluate the complexity of components Customizability is used to measure how efficiently and widely the components can be customized for specific requirements organization, Resuability can be used to measure the degree of features that is reused in building applications,
Component Code Generation Using Feature Diagram and XML/XSLT
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 83~94
Recently for software development productivity a lot of researches in the field of software engineering hove focuses on the component-based software product lines which allows the reuse of forger-granularity software components Its purpose is to develop the specific software application of quality more rapidly by instantiating and assembling the components populated in software product line assets The essential part to build the component-based software product lines is the quality of components, and one of the most important features determining the quality of components is 'reconfigurability' Component reconfigurability means the extent to which the reusers can change the functions and architecture of the component according to their context and environment. This paper proposes the component code generation technique which provides the reconfigurability at the time of code generation using The feature diagram and XML/XSLT technologies The approach of this paper allows the component reusers to get automatically their own component source code by providing only the values of variabilities represented in the feature diagram of the component family. The real world example, the code generation system for o list container family, shows the applicability of the feature model and XML related technologies in the area of the generative programming. Our approach should be basis to build the component based software product lines and extensible to support the larger graularity components.
Design and Development of an Interactive Tool for Developing Multi-platform Software
Journal of Internet Computing and Services, volume 3, issue 4, 2002, Pages 95~102
A continuous development of new hardware and operating systems brings the importance of portable programming, which can be imported into multi-platform environment. Also, the recent development of computer communication technology brings us many choices of accessing into the other platforms, which also becomes a burden for the programmers who should consider developing software fitting into diverse platforms The present GNU system tools creates a part of the source code automatically, and suggests a direction towards a new platform. but the source code must be prepared by the programmer at the source level. In this paper, we describe design and implementation of on interactive tool for developing multi-platform software, The tool is designed to help a programmer to build a portable program for multi-platform, even though the programmer does not know very well about various UNIX platforms, And, the tool uses existing GNU system tools, such as autoconf, autoheader, automake and etc, and is able to insert a portable code into a right position by interacting with a programmer.
