Design and Implementation of the Graphical Relational Searching for Folksonomy Tags in the Participational Architecture of Web 2.0

Recently, the web 2.0 services which appear by exponential extension of the Internet can be expressed with the changes in the quality of structural evolution and in the quantity of increasing users. The structural base is in user participational architecture, the web 2.0 services such as Blog, UCC, SNS(Social Networking Service), Mash-up, Long tail, etc. play a important role in organization of web, and grouping and searching of user participational data in web 2.0 is broadly used by folksonomy. Folksonomy is a new form that categorizes by tags, not classic taxonomy skill. it is made by user participation. Searching based on tag is now done by a simple text or a tag cloud method. But searching to consider and express the relations among each tags is imperfect yet. Thus, this paper provides the relational searching based on tags using the relational graph of tags. It should improve the trust of the searching and provide the convenience of the searching.
Implementation and Performance Evaluation of Socket and RMI based Java Message Passing Systems

This paper designs and implements a message passing library called JMPI (Java Message Passing Interface) which complies with MPJ (Message Passing in Java), the MPI standard Specification for Java language, This library provides some graphic user interface tools to enable parallel computing environments to be configured very simply by their administrators and JMPI applications to be executed very conveniently. Also in this paper, we implement two versions of systems using Socket and RPC which are both typical distributed system communication mechanisms and with three benchmark applications, compare performance of these systems with that of an existing system JPVM depending on the increasing number of the computers. Experimental results show that our systems outperform JPVM system in terms of various aspects and that the most efficient processing speedup can be obtained by increasing the number of the computers in consideration of network traffic through processing evaluation. Finally, we can see that, as the number of computers increases, using RMI to transmit a message is more effective than using object streams attached to sockets to transmit a message.
Failure Detection and Resilience in HRing Overlay Network

An overlay network is a virtual network which is constructed on top of a physical computer network. A node in the overlay network is connected through virtual or logical links, where each link corresponds to a path of the links in the underlying physical network. Overlay networks are suitable for sharing heterogeneous resources in distributed environments, However, overlay networks are limited for achieving reliable communication that failure detection in overlay networks is a very important issue. In this paper, we review conditions of conventional failure detection and propose a new approach to failure detection and resilience which can be applied to HRing (Hierarchical Ring) overlay networks. The proposed method consists of the failure detection and the failure resilience phases. Because it utilizes the characteristics of the HRing overlay network for failure detection, it can reduce unnecessary network traffic and provide better scalability and flexibility. We also analyzed and evaluated the performance of the proposed approach through simulations.
Specification of Semantics for Object Oriented Programming Language

Semantics-based notations need to be used for specification of static and dynamic semantics to specify and implement new programming language. If the semantics is practically defined, we easily gain a translator according to the implementation of the semantics. In this paper, we describe the static and dynamic semantics to get a translator easily. We present practical semantics-based Action Equations, an extension and transformation of Attribute Grammar(AGs) suitable for specifying the static and dynamic semantics of a object oriented programming language. Compare with the existing descriptions, Action Equations is superior, modernized, and accurate.
UI4GSD: Design and Implementation of User Interface for Grid Service Development Based on Globus Toolkit 4

This paper presents UI4GSD (User Interface for Grid Service Development) for grid service developers that provides an efficient and friendly development environment based on Globus Toolkit 4, Normally, implementing grid service requires special expert knowledge for Grid as well as programming, Moreover, grid service development as well as testing of the deployed service in the Globus container takes a long Time, which makes the grid service implementation very inefficient, However, UI4GSD can automatically generate a grid service interface file, a build file, and grid service class files as well as a client class file, using the information supplied by developers through GUI. In UI4GSD, a grid service is developed easily based on typical five step processes with required input data fed at each step. As, a result, UI4GSD can provide an easy and convenient development environment thereby increasing the efficiency and convenience in developing grid services.
A Development of mobile broadcasting monitor for improving reliability on IP-TV Platform based on TIT

In korea, TIT(Transport Information Technology) based IP-TV services have been provided in Saemaeul trains and some sections of subway trains, But the software systems for the service performed in alternated fashions and suffered from many problems such as suspension, memory leaking and overflow, These problems increased playback loss time and resulted in bad reliabilities, In this paper, a software TIT monitor is designed and implemented for Monitoring module and Reset module in physically poor environments, The designed system formalized monitoring time intervals for effective monitoring, Through the real experiments, playback time is improved in 7.2% comparing to existing system.
Multimedia Information Retrieval Using Semantic Relevancy

As the Web technologies and wired/wireless network are improved and various new multimedia services are introduced recently, need for searching multimedia including video data has been much increasing, The previous approaches for multimedia retrieval, however, do not make use of the relationships among semantic concepts contained in multimedia contents in an efficient way and provide only restricted search results, This paper proposes a multimedia retrieval system exploiting semantic relevancy of multimedia contents based on a domain ontology, We show the effectiveness of the proposed system by experiments on a prototype system we have developed. The proposed multimedia retrieval system can extend a given search keyword based on the relationships among the semantic concepts in the ontology and can find a wide range of multimedia contents having semantic relevancy to the input keyword. It also presents the results categorized by the semantic meaning and relevancy to the keyword derived from the ontology. Independency of domain ontology with respect to metadata on the multimedia contents is preserved in the proposed system architecture.
Ontology based Context-Aware Recommendation System using Concept Hierarchy

In this thesis, we propose ontology based context-aware recommendation system using concept hierarchy(OCARCH), Context-aware recommendation services are useful to provide an user with relevant information and/or services bared on his current context, However several approaches to context-aware recommendation system have been already proposed, each of them provide information without considering level of information concept bared on his current context, For this reason, we propose OCARCH as system capable of helping people to find their way quickly and easily through large amounts of information by determining level of information concept based on his current context, We are also using prefetching algorithm to store recommendation information that the user is likely to need in the near future based on current predictions, Therefore the OCARCH enables users to obtain relevant information efficiently, Several experiments are performed and the experimental results show that the proposed system provides more effective than conventional context-aware recommendation system.

Solving the ambiguity of an Intention Reasoning using Context-Awareness Architecture based on Ontology

Context-Aware system using ontology is able to infer a context from help by reasoning engine. It can solve the ambiguity of intention reasoning of context-aware system as it is being made a reasoning rule followed reasoning grammar and being helped by reasoning engine, Also, it has a merit that is easy to apply to new environment by excluding reasoning algorithm from the program. In this paper, we are present context-aware system using ontology, We have tested and implemented it at home basis environment to verify of its effectiveness.
K-way Super Node Approach for Guaranteeing User's Global QoS

Nowadays, with the proliferation of Web services, developer and user can implement a complex application by composing registered Web services. In this trend, the quality of service of a composite Web service is of crucial importance for today's Service Oriented Computing (SOC) environment. But the global optimization of a composite Web service satisfying given QoS is classified to NP-hard problem. To solve this problem, we propose K-way Super node approach and show the effect of it from experimental results.
Parameter Estimation for Range Finding Algorithm of Equidistance Stereo Catadioptric Mirrors

Catadioptric mirrors are widely used in automatic surveillance system. The major drawback of catadioptric mirror is its unequal image resolution. Equidistance catadioptric mirrir can be the solution to this problem. The exact axial alignment and the exact mount of mirror are the sources that can be avoided but the focal length variation is inevitable. In this paper, the effects of focal length variation on the computation of depth and height of object' point are explained and the effective and simple focal length finding algorithm is presented. First two object's points are selected, and the counterparts on the other stereo image are to be found using MSE criterion. Using four pixel distance from the image center, the assumed focal length is calculated. If the obtained focal length is different from the exact focal length, 24mm, the focal length value is modified by the proposed method. The method is very simple and gives the comparable results with the earlier sophisticated method.
TCP NJ+: Packet Loss Differentiated Transmission Mechanism Robust to High BER Environments

Transmission mechanisms that include an available bandwidth estimation algorithm and a packet loss differentiation scheme, in general, exhibit higher TCP performance in wireless networks. TCP New Jersey, known as the best existing scheme in terms of goodput, improves wireless TCP performance using the available bandwidth estimation at the sender and the congestion warning at intermediate routers. Although TCP New Jersey achieves 17% and 85% improvements in goodput over TCP Westwood and TCP Reno, respectively, we further improve TCP New Jersey by exploring improved available bandwidth estimation, retransmission timeout, and recovery mechanisms. Hence, we propose TCP New Jersey PLUS (shortly TCP NJ+), showing that under 1% packet loss rate, it outperforms 3% by TCP New Jersey and 5% by TCP Wes1wood. In 5% packet loss rate, a characteristic of high bit-error-rate wireless network, it outperforms other TCP variants by 19% to 104% in terms of goodput even when the network is in bi-directional congestion.
Energy-Efficient Routing Protocol for Hybrid Ad Hoc Networks

Currently, as the requirement for high quality Internet access from anywhere at anytime is consistently increasing, the interconnection of pure ad hoc networks to fixed IP networks becomes increasingly important. Such integrated network, referred to as hybrid ad hoc networks, can be extended to many applications, including Sensor Networks, Home Networks, Telematics, and so on. We focus on some data communication problems of hybrid ad hoc networks, such as broadcasting and routing. In particular. power failure of mobile terminals is the most important factor since it affects the overall network lifetime. We propose an energy-efficient routing protocol based on clustering for hybrid ad hoc networks. By applying the index-based data broadcasting and selective tuning methods, the infra system performs the major operations related to clustering and routing on behalf of ad hoc nodes. The proposed scheme reduces power consumption as well as the cost of path discovery and maintenance, and the delay required to configure the route.
Steganographic Model based on Low bit Encoding for VoIP

This paper proposes new Steganographic model for VoIP that has very effective method using low bit encoding. Most of Steganographic models using Low bit Encoding have two disadvantages; one is that the existence of hidden secret message can be easily detected by auditory, the other is that the capacity of stego data is low. To solve these problems, this method embed more than one bit in inaudible range, so this method can improve the capacity of the hidden message in cover data. The embedding bit position is determined by using a pseudo random number generator which has seed with remaining message length, so it is hard to detect the stego data produced by the proposed method. This proposed model is able to use not only to communicate wave file with hidden message in VoIP environment but also to hide vary information which is user basic information, authentication system, etc.
Design and Analysis of Metrics for Enhancing Productivity of Datawarehouse

A datawarehouse which extracts and saves the massive analysis data is used for marketing and decision support of business. However, the datawarehouse has the problem of increasing the process time and cost as well as has a high risk of process errors because it integrates vast amount of data from distributed environments. Thus, we propose a metrics for measurement in the area of productivity, process quality and data quality. Also through the evaluation using the proposed metrics, we show that our proposal provides productivity enhancement and process improvement.
Design of High-speed Pointer Switching Fabric

The proposed switch which has separated data plane and switching plane can make parallel processing for packet data storing, memory address pointer switching and simultaneously can be capable of switching the variable length for IP packets. The proposed architecture does not require the complicated arbitration algorithms in VOQ, also is designed for QoS of generic output queue switch as well as input queue. At the result of simulations, the proposed architecture has less average packet delay than the one of the memory-sharing based architecture and guarantees keeping a certain average packet delay in increasing switch size.
