Implementation of the Intelligent MUX System for Green USN

Recently emphasizing the importance of security such as national major institutions' facilities or major industrial facilities for the maintenance of security/crime prevention due to specialization of the Green Information Technology(G-IT) and Green Ubiquitous Technology(G-UT) industry fields, The Security System Building linked high technology within the government-related organization, enterprise and army the military is urgently required. This paper is about the green USN intelligent an unmanned guard MUX system that receive the signals, from alarm device within surveillance area, with various ways of communication techniques and then transmit to local control center and remote control server trough TCP/IP network. This study enables the mutual senergy effect by realizing a total solution of an unmanned guard system and also significantly contributes to the global/domestic market expansion. That can be applied to the crime prevention/security fields in the Green Ubiquitous Environment Implemented Business(survalance-Home, Gu-City, Gu-Health, etc.), and will contribute to expand companies with international competitiveness that can provide the Green Ubiquitous Vision(Gu-Vision).
Rapid Thermal Annealing of GaN EpiLayer grown by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

We have investigated effects of the rapid thermal annealing of GaN epilayers by molecular beam epitaxy in nitrogen atmosphere. The improvement of structural properties of the samples was observed after rapid thermal annealing under optimum conditions. This improvement in crystal quality is due to a reduction of the spread in the lattice parameter in epilayers. The annealing has been performed in a rapid thermal annealing furnace at
. The effect of rapid thermal annealing on the structural properties of GaN was studied by x-ray diffraction. The Bragg peak shifts toward larger angle as the annealing time increases. As the thermal treatment time increases, FWHM(full width at half maximum) of the peak slightly increase with its decreases followed and it increases again. Results demonstrate that rapid thermal annealing did not always promote qualities of GaN epilayers. However, rapid thermal annealing under optimum conditions improve structural properties of the samples, elevating their crystal quality with a reduction of inaccuracy in the lattice parameter of the epilayers.
A Vertical Handover Scheme Using Proxy Binding Update

This paper proposes a multihoming-based vertical handover scheme using Proxy binding update to minimize handover delay and packet loss while a mobile node moves to a heterogeneous access network. When a mobile node moves to a heterogeneous access network, the proposed scheme can provide a mobile node with fast and seamless handover by performing layer-3 handover using its new interface while the other interface is still communicating in the old access network. The proposed Proxy binding update is different from the Mobile IP binding update in that it includes home addres (HoA) of the old interface instead of the new interface. The performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme can efficiently reduce vertical handover delay and packet loss.
Cross-Lingual Text Retrieval Based on a Knowledge Base

User query formation highly acts on the effectiveness of information retrieval when we retrieve documents from the general domain as a web. This thesis proposes a intelligent information retrieval method based on a cross-lingual knowledge base to effectively perform a cross-lingual text retrieval from the web. The inferred knowledge from the cross-lingual knowledge base helps user's word association to make up user query easily and exactly for effective cross-lingual text information retrieval. This thesis develops user's query reformation algorithm and experiments it with Korean and English web. Experimental results show that the algorithm based on the proposed knowledge base is much more effective than without knowledge base in the cross-lingual text retrieval.

Performance of Tactics Mobile Communication System Based on UWB with Double Binary Turbo Code in Multi-User Interference Environments

In this paper, we analyze and simulate the performance of a tactics mobile communication system based on ultra wide band (UWB) in multi-user interference (MUI) environments. This system adopts a double binary turbo code for forward error correction (FEC). Wireless channel is modeled a modified Saleh and Valenzuela (SV) model. We employ a space time block coding (STBC) scheme for enhancing system performance. System performance is evaluated in terms of bit error probability. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the tactics mobile communication system based on UWB, which is encoded with the double binary turbo code, can achieve a remarkable coding gain with reasonable encoding and decoding complexity in multi-user interference environments. It is also known that the bit error probability performance of the tactics mobile communication system based on UWB can be substantially improved by increasing the number of iterations in the decoding process for a fixed cod rate. Besides, we can demonstrate that the double binary turbo coding scheme is very effective for increasing the number of simultaneous users for a given bit error probability requirement.
An acoustic study of feeling information extracting method

Tele-marketing service has been provided through voice media in a several places such as modern call centers. In modern call centers, they are trying to measure their service quality, and one of the measuring method is a extracting speaker's feeling information in their voice. In this study, it is proposed to analyze speaker's voice in order to extract their feeling information. For this purpose, a person's feeling is categorized by analyzing several types of signal parameters in the voice signal. A person's feeling can be categorized in four different states: joy, sorrow, excitement, and normality. In a normal condition, excited or angry state can be major factor of service quality. In this paper, it is proposed to select a conversation with problems by extracting the speaker's feeling information based on pitches and amplitudes of voice.
Design and Implementation of an Emotion Recognition System using Physiological Signal

Recently in the mobile market, the communication technology which bases on the sense of sight, sound, and touch has been developed. However, human beings uses all five - vision, auditory, palatory, olfactory, and tactile - senses to communicate. Therefore, the current paper presents a technology which enables individuals to be aware of other people's emotions through a machinery device. This is achieved by the machine perceiving the tone of the voice, body temperature, pulse, and other biometric signals to recognize the emotion the dispatching individual is experiencing. Once the emotion is recognized, a scent is emitted to the receiving individual. A system which coordinates the emission of scent according to emotional changes is proposed.
Design and Implementation of a Language Identification System for Handwriting Input Data

Recently, to accelerate the Ubiquitous generation, the input interface of the mobile machinery and tools are actively being researched. In addition with the existing interfaces such as the keyboard and curser (mouse), other subdivisions including the handwriting, voice, vision, and touch are under research for new interfaces. Especially in the case of small-sized mobile machinery and tools, there is a increasing need for an efficient input interface despite the small screens. This is because, additional installment of other devices are strictly limited due to its size. Previous studies on handwriting recognition have generally been based on either two-dimensional images or algorithms which identify handwritten data inserted through vectors. Futhermore, previous studies have only focused on how to enhance the accuracy of the handwriting recognition algorithms. However, a problem arisen is that when an actual handwriting is inserted, the user must select the classification of their characters (e.g Upper or lower case English, Hangul - Korean alphabet, numbers). To solve the given problem, the current study presents a system which distinguishes different languages by analyzing the form/shape of inserted handwritten characters. The proposed technique has treated the handwritten data as sets of vector units. By analyzing the correlation and directivity of each vector units, a more efficient language distinguishing system has been made possible.
Design of CAN Communication Interface possible for Error Detection that use for Embedded System

Now the CAN(controller Area Network) is using electronic modules as a serial communication which is very robust to noise. Especially the CAN is using for automotive part that very popular in which automotive electronic control module, engine controller unit, sensor modules, etc. but the CAN has the order of priority to linking node and also has fault confinement so using in these features that is applied to in factory automation product line. The CAN communication is basically very robust to electric noise so varied applying to others part. In this paper, we suggest to CAN interface for embedded system that is possible for error detection using two CAN nodes on Hi-speed, full-CAN.

Noise handing is very important in voice recognition of vehicle environment. that has been studying about to hardware and software approach. hardware method that is noise filter circuit design, basically using Low-pass filter. it was shown a good result. and the side of software that has been developing about to algorithm for Noise canceler, NN(neural network), etc. in this paper we have analysis about to classified parameter pattern matting level for voice recognition on car noise environment that use of DTW(Dynamic Time Warping) which is applicable time series pattern recognition algorithm.
H.264 Encoding Technique of Multi-view Image expressed by Layered Depth Image

This paper presents H.264 coding schemes for multi-view video using the concept of layered depth image(LDI) representation and efficient compression technique for LDI. After converting those data to the proposed representation, we encode color, depth, and auxiliary data representing the hierarchical structure, respectively, Two kinds of preprocessing approaches are proposed for multiple color and depth components. In order to compress auxiliary data, we have employed a near lossless coding method. Finally, we have reconstructed the original viewpoints successfully from the decoded approach that is useful for dealing with multiple color and depth data simultaneously.
A Study on the Data Compression Algorithm for Just-in-Time Rendering of Concentric Mosaic

Concentric mosaics are made with arranging and summing of video frames by using common spacial standards. Compared with previous works on 3-D wavelet transform coding, we have made important design considerations to enable flexible partial decoding and bit-stream random access. A just-in-time(JIT) rendering engine of the compressed concentric mosaic is developed. However, computationally, it is still demanding to accomplish the real-time rendering. Only the contents for specific scene representation are need to be decoded by maintaining compressed data. Thus our proposed algorithm is able to render real concentric mosaic by using lifting scheme instead of wavelet transform.
A Medium Access Mechanism to Support Urgent Message Transmission

This paper proposes an effective medium access mechanism which is based on IEEE 802.11 to transmit an urgent message, The main features of the proposed mechanism are as follows. First, when it comes to channel access to have high priority, it has a shorter interval between frames than that specified in standard document. Second, we use fixed window size instead of back-off window with an exponential increase. Performance evaluation of proposed mechanism is executed by simulation and compare with the node using the specified mechanism in standard document. Performance evaluation results show that according to increasing competition the nodes using proposed method have less accessing time than the conventional methods. Also, the proposed method can improve processing time because of the decreasing transmission delay.
A Call Service Content Using WIPI

In this paper, we design and implement the contents transferring the location information between a customer and a proxy driver by utilizing 'WIPI.' Customers are able to request a call-service through a client in order to call a proxy driver. And, once a proxy driver who is most adjacent to the customer accepts the order of a call-service from him or her through a location-management server using the concepts of LBS and GPS, 'WIPI' sends the information about the location of the customer to the driver, and also sends information to the custome by calculating the distance from the driver to the customer. This content was modeled based on how information is transferred between a customer and a proxy driver under the mobile circumstance, and also a server and a client, made up from JAVA, were modeled by using SKT emulator.
Investigation of Traffic Accident using Skid Mark

In case the traffic accident occurs, skid mark is very important factor to calculate the car speed. Especially, for the purpose of objective and scientific inspection, traffic accidents should be appraised and inspected by righteous material evidences, computer simulation, and studies such as automobile engineering, traveling and collision accident dynamics, road and traffic engineering. In this paper, it displays the results of studying cases with the reasons of traffic accidents by analyzing and studying automobile kinetics, real traffic accidents and the results of in scientific and objective ways. After computer simulation result that it is proved that compared with unpacked road condition and packed road condition. unpacked road condition is shorter than packed road condition.
The Performance improvement of CMA Blind Adaptive equalizer using the Constellation Matching Method

This paper relates with the improved CMA blind adaptive equalization algorithm which uses the constellation matching method that improve the inverse modelling efficiency of a communication channel compared to the present CMA blind adaptive equalizer. The amplitude distortion can be compensated in the present CMA blind adaptive equalizer which is used for the reduction of intersymbol interference by distortion that generate such as a band limited wireless mobile channel, but in the improved adaptive alogorithm operates with the minimize the amplitude phase distortion in the output of equalizer by applying the cost function that is composition of additional signal constellation matching error terms. In order to evaluation of the inverse modeling efficiency of improved algorithm, the residual intersymbol interference and recovered signal constellation were compared by computer simulation. As a result of comparion of computer simulation, the improved algorithm has a good stability in the residual intersymbol interference in the steady state, but it has a slow convergence rate in the adaptation state in initial state.
The Effects of the Internet Addiction of the Youth according to the Types of Family

This study practically analyzed the relationships of Internet addiction, self-esteem, interpersonal relations and maladjusted behaviors according to family types and in particular, made a practical analysis about whether self-esteem, interpersonal relations and maladjusted behaviors have mediation effects in the relationship between family types and Internet addiction. As a result of regression analysis, the Internet addiction according to family types was a negative relationship and significant. Family types were positively related to self-esteem. As for interpersonal relations, family types were significant as a positive relationship. On the other hand, maladjusted behaviors were proved that they have a negative relationship with family types like the Internet addiction. That is to say, even the mediation effects that family types through self-esteem, interpersonal relations and maladjusted behaviors related to Internet addition were verified. As a result, it was concluded that self-esteem, interpersonal relations and maladjusted behavior factors play mediator roles between family types and Internet addiction.

Cyber lectures have been popular with students as they are more accessible. In this thesis we also created a personal identification confirmation system with RFID as it is quite difficult to confirm who is taking a lecture. In the process of developing the confirmation system, an algorithm enabling real-time identification confirmation, as well as interactive virtual questioning system, was also developed. After the computer simulation test we proved the duplex on-line lecturing system is more effective than the current one-way cyber lecturing system which does not take into consideration students with less/no degree of understanding.
Erlang Capacity of Cognitive Radio Systems Utilizing Buffer for Spectrum Handoff Calls

In this paper, the performance of cognitive radio network is analyzed in terms of Erlang capacity. To improve the Erlang capacity with respect to primary user (PU) and secondary user (SU) traffic, we propose an efficient radio resource management scheme utilizing the buffer for new SUs and interrupted SUs. Markov model is developed, and analyzed to derive the performances of the proposed spectrum sharing scheme in both primary system and secondary system. To determine the Erlang capacity region, the blocking probability, the forced termination probability and the non-completion probability are calculated. Simulation results provide insight into the advantages of the buffer utilization. It is observed that the supportable traffic loads of PU and SU can be increased significantly according to the buffer length.
