Analysis of Propagation Environments for Indoor Wireless Communication Systems at THz Frequencies

Short-range wireless communication systems are expanding at rapid rate, finding application in offices and homes. Development of wireless local network is accompanied by steady increase in the demand for ever higher data rates. This in turn entails the necessity to develop communication systems which operate at higher frequencies. It can be expected that short-rage wireless communication networks will soon push towards the THz frequency range. We use a 3D ray-launching for analysis of propagation environments at the indoor fixtures. We extended the approach from the modeling of the reflectivity of optically thick, smooth building materials at THz frequencies to materials with a rough surface. The simulation result of propagation environment is similar to average received power of reference paper. The RMS delay spread was calculated to be 9.11 ns in a room size of

Performance of Interference Cancellation for Cooperative Communication Systems with Maximum Likelihood Equalizer

In this paper, we analyze and simulate the performance of a cooperative communication system adopting a maximum likelihood (ML) equalizer. In wireless communication systems, cooperative communication schemes employing several relays can be applied for extending the communication coverage. It is assumed that both relays and user terminals can move. Therefore, coverages of two or more relays can overlap each other. If wanted and interfering signals are transmitted through the same channel and there are one terminal in the overlapped region, its performance is degraded due to interference. Hence, we use a ML equalizer for rejecting the effect of interfering signal and enhancing the communication system performance. The cooperative system performance is evaluated in terms of bit error probability. From the simulation results, it is demonstrated that the ML receiver shows good interference cancellation performance although its complexity is high.
Features Reduction using Logistic Regression for Spam Filtering

Today, The much amount of spam that occupies the mail server and network storage occurs the lack of negative issues, such as overload, and for users to delete the spam should spend time, resources have a problem. Automatic spam filtering on the incidence to solve the problem is essential. A lot of Spam filters have tried to solve the problem emerged as an essential element automatically. Unlike traditional method such as Naive Bayesian, PCA through the many-dimensional data set of spam with a few spindle-dimensional process that narrowed the operation to reduce the burden on certain groups for classification Logistic regression analysis method was used to filter the spam. Through the speed and performance, it was able to get the positive results.
The Interference Effect of DTV Service on Radio Microphone

This paper analyzes potential interference effect of DTV service on Radio Microphone in adjacent channel. For analysis, we assume that DTV operates on CH 51(692 MHz ~ 698 MHz) and radio microphone operates on CH 52 (698 MHz ~ 704 MHz) according to the Korea Communications Commission policy. Minimum Coupling Loss(MCL) method is used to determine the required protection distance and Monte Carlo method is used to determine guard band to meet interference probability of 0 % below. In conclusions, protection distance of 1.71 km and guard band of 2.4 MHz are required for indoor and protection distance of 18.86 km and guard band of 5.7 MHz are required for outdoor.
Energy-Efficient Cluster Head Selection Method in Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks is composed of many similar sensor nodes with limited resources. They are randomly scattered over a specific area and self-organize the network. For guarantee of network life time, load balancing and scalability in sensor networks, sensor networks needs the clustering algorithm which distribute the networks to a local cluster. In existing clustering algorithms, the cluster head selection method has two problems. One is additional communication cost for finding location and energy of nodes. Another is unequal clustering. To solve them, this paper proposes a novel cluster head selection algorithm revised previous clustering algorithm, LEACH. The simulation results show that the energy compared with the previous clustering method is reduced.

By the recent success of the iPhone and the App Store, software developers from all over the world challenge to list their applications on the App Store and sell them worldwide. And major mobile companies in Korea are following the Apple by opening open markets to distribute software products running on their mobile devices. In this paper, we describe the development of an action game for iPod 'Hexa-Samkukgi'. The game is developed using Cocos2d engine.
Additional Data Transmission Scheme with Digital Watermarking Method in Generalized-K Fading Channel

In this paper, we derive the channel capacity in order to transmit an additional data by using digital watermarking method in generalized-K fading channel. Spread spectrum watermarking is one of the digital watermarking methods which is the most promising technique due to it's very robustness to the channel noise and easy achieving of the signal detection by correlators at the receiver. It is important to analyze the channel capacity to transmit an additional data through wireless channel because the transmitted data would be affected by the channel fading effects. From the results, we confirm that the channel capacity of the SSW system can be determined by the HWR, WNR, PN length and host sampling frequency. Also, we verified that the level of HWR and WNR can be determined by the derived capacity formula. The results of this paper can be applied to general spread spectrum watermarking system.
Efficient Time Information Correction for Reusing Digital Broadcasting Contents

According to appearance of digital broadcasting media such as DTV, IPTV, DMB, and so on, the needs about digital contents have been increased. The cases reusing the producted contents happen frequently, in consideration of the production cost of digital contents and the early digital broadcasting market. In this case, the reused contents must adjust the transfer rate of the digital broadcasting system. The time information included in the contents is shifted in the adjusting process. This paper proposes the efficient method correcting the shifted time information.

Android that was made by Google and Open Handset Alliance is the open source software toolkit for mobile phone. In a few years, Android will be used by millions of Android mobile phones and other mobile devices, and become the main platform of application developers. In this paper, we develop an application contents Booky based on Google Android flatform by using Webview merits and Google search engine. The features of the developed content are as follows. First, a mobile-based Web browser which has an advanced screen resolution and can support more faster viewer than normal web browser as it reduces the amount of data transmission. Second, efficient E-book search and reading functionality. In the performance evaluation, we show the results of simulation using AVD(Android Virture Device).

In operating estimation system, the river and lake is almost simple monitoring system or independent monitoring system. But the present system has many weak points about the concurrent analysis ability of various information collection. Sensors generating the information is not accurate. Therefore, we have something that can be improved. Although we have the related facilities of the purification plant, forebays and sewage disposal plant, and suffer from the difficulty about lack of system of estimation, management and control. As a result of this paper, monitoring system can observe the water pollution and various water environment of whole country. Also, through the sensors of USN, Zigbee, RFID and middle ware, which can service and construct service platform, we present standard plan of remarkable scalability service platform.
Compatiblility analysis between DTV and WRAN systems

In this paper, we analyze an effect co-existence between digital television (DTV) and 802.22 wireless regional area network (WRAN) systems. We set DTV as an interfering system and 802.22 WRAN as a victim system. When they share the same spectrum, we calculate the minimum separation distance. In analysis, we compare a minimum coupling loss (MCL) with a transmission loss (TL) for determining whether there exists the potential interference or not. The minimum separation distance is determined when the TL is larger than the MCL. In this case, the DTV system does not affect any harmful effect to 802.22 WRAN.
An Anomaly Detection Method for the Security of VANETs

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks are self-organizing Peer-to-Peer networks that typically have highly mobile vehicle nodes, moving at high speeds, very short-lasting and unstable communication links. VANETs are formed without fixed infrastructure, central administration, and dedicated routing equipment, and network nodes are mobile, joining and leaving the network over time. So, VANET-security is very vulnerable for the intrusion of malicious and misbehaving nodes in the network, since VANETs are mostly open networks, allowing everyone connect, without centralized control. In this paper, we propose a rough set based anomaly detection method that efficiently identify malicious behavior of vehicle node activities in these VANETs, and the performance of a proposed scheme is evaluated by a simulation in terms of anomaly detection rate and false alarm rate for the threshold

Satisfaction of computer internet user in Ubiquitous depends on characters which given from web site. In this paper, studying about characteristic of internet web site that influence internet user's satisfaction. Had a research by interviewing and e-mail for a month, at over the 20 ages person who has experience purchasing S/W from shopping mall in internet purchasing site. The research shows the main factor of the user's satisfaction are that communication business combine, information usability, interaction, personalization, mailing list, over the web site characteristics. Finally, this paper suggest that special features and studying limitation of the enterprise web transactions base on the result of the research.
Design of Efficient FFT Processor for IEEE 802.16e Mobile WiMax Systems

In this paper, an area-efficient FFT processor is proposed for IEEE 802.16e mobile WiMax systems. The proposed scalable FFT processor can support the variable length of 128, 512, 1024 and 2048. By reducing the required number of non-trivial multipliers with mixed-radix (MR) and multi-path delay commutator (MDC) architecture, the complexity of the proposed FFT processor is dramatically decreased without sacrificing system throughput. The proposed FFT processor was designed in hardware description language (HDL) and synthesized to gate-level circuits using 0.18um CMOS standard cell library. With the proposed architecture, the gate count for the processor is 46K and the size of memory is 64Kbits, which are reduced by 16% and 27%, respectively, compared with those of the 4-channel radix-2 MDC (R2MDC) FFT processor.

For that reason, more and more growing of the internet speed, many kind of the multimedia as if the voice, a letter, a photograph, a moving picture are appearance and integration of the internet as if the wireless internet, the CATV, a satellite is forming. Today, many changes in the communication environment are occurrence. therefore a demands of the user keep up increase. so, in this paper, we developed the SOHO IP-PBX embedded which can automatically exchange the call. the developed IP-PBX have many functions as if the exchange call function, the gateway function, the PSTN backup function, the FAX function, the VPN function, etc. and verified it by an experiment on the rules in KT.
Performance Analysis of CATR Reflector Equipped with Modified Asymmetric Triangular Serrations

The ripple within the quiet zone in the CATR(Compact Antenna Test Range) would be increased due to the diffraction at the edge of the reflector. Therefore, the reflector equipped with the serrations is generally used to reduce the ripple within the quiet zone. In this paper, the modified asymmetric triangular serrations are proposed, and the diffraction of the proposed serrations is analyzed using the Fresnel diffraction formula. The ripple of amplitude and phase between the conventional triangular and the proposed serrations are compared to confirm the ripple of the proposed serrations. As the result of the modulated the reflector size, height of the serrations and numbers of serrations, it is confirmed that the ripple of the proposed serrations is less than the conventional triangular serrations. Accordingly, proposed serrations are expected to reduce the ripple within quiet zone.

Rights to Control Information and Related Security Technologies on the CyberSpace

This research examines technologies and systems regarding right to control information in the network era. For this purpose, It attempts an integrated analysis of technologies and systems on the basis of the tree components of cyberspace. And it examines the prior researches and cases on privacy, personal information, and right to control information with emphasis on technologies and systems of the cyberspace. To protect privacy information, it analyses vulnerability of element technology, platform service technology, and individual technology. In particular, it describes, from the perspective of right to control information, the risk and security measures for personal information to be used as relation-context in the Web 2.0 environment. The research result will assist the methodology of future researches for grand theory on privacy information and help understanding the interaction between technology and society.
A Study on Bandwidth and Buffer Management Mechanisms of IP Networks

In this paper, we investigate several techniques on bandwidth and buffer management and classify them according to the types they used for controlling the throughput of a TCP/IP network. Moreover, in this paper, it present a new approach for modeling the active bandwidth and buffer control mechanisms for TCP/IP networks.

Rapid technological advances in the area of micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) have spurred the development of small inexpensive sensors capable of intelligent sensing. A significant amount of research has been done in the area of connecting large numbers of these sensors to create robust and scalable Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The resource scarcity, ad-hoc deployment, and immense scale of WSNs make secure communication a particularly challenging problem. Since the primary consideration for sensor networks is energy efficiency, security schemes must balance their security features against the communication and computational overhead required to implement them. In this paper, we combine location information and probability to create a new security aware multipath geographic routing protocol. The implemented result in network simulator (ns-2) showed that our protocol has a better performance under attacks.
A Novel AOCG-OFDM Modulation Technique for Variable-high-bit-rate

The Multi-code (Mc) modulation has been developed for high-speed data transmission over the wireless environments, but it suffers two critical problems due to the limited resource of Orthogonal Codes (OC) and high Peak-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). In this paper, we propose a novel modulation technique called AOCG  (Advanced Orthogonal Code Group)-OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) to solve the above problems and obtain the variable high bit rates which can be controlled by the four parameters depending on the quality of services (QoS) required by users.
Design of Integrated Medical Information System based on XML

Recently most of hospitals progress toward setting up computer based medical information system, and there exists medical standard such as HL7 and DICOM to exchange efficiently between systems each other. However, Heterogeneous system built in each hospital gets a different data structure of medical information for patient and also makes it difficult to share information among hospitals. This paper proposes an integrated medical information system which changes existing diverse types of medical information to a unified structure and combines into one management model using XML from hospital specific medical information system. Thus, our proposed system makes it possible to get an effectively information share across hospitals without considering the internal system structure of other hospital. As a result, Hospitals provide a efficient and correct diagnosis, saving time and cost to patients.
An Implementation of Mobile Medical Reservation System using Geographic Information Service

Recently, Technical innovation has been implemented in a broad variety of industry fields to reach an ubiquitous society, with the object of popularizing u-Hospital, the mobile technology with no restriction to the place tends to be used positively in Health care fields. The existing mobile medical reservation system has the problem of not making good use of location information of users due to the interface based on text in the existing web pages. This paper proposes an mobile medical reservation system using geographic information service to solve the problems of current reservation system by using RIA(Rich Internet Application) technology applicable to Web 2.0 environment. Our proposed system also does the all required processes in a few page view, gets the differentiated service from the existing system by allowing efficient data exchange using XML, and expects the improvement of user friendliness by flexible user interface.
