Regression Progress to Evaluate Metal Scale Thickness using Microwave

This paper deals with a method to measure the thickness of scale-layer, iron oxide formed on the surface of the rolling steel, using a dielectric lens antenna. The dielectric lens antenna has an independent characteristic with the frequency in the X-band and changes the spherical wave radiated from a horn antenna into a plane wave at the focusing point. Using this concept, we regard a scale-layer on the rolling steel as a dielectric-PEC(Perfect Electric Conductor) layer and apply a theoretical analysis of the normal-incident plane wave. To reduce the phase error arising from the use of the dielectric lens antenna, this paper utilizes a regression process algorithm. In comparison with the conventional iteration algorithm, the present algorithm led to a unique solution for the thickness of the scale-layer.
Bandwidth Analysis of a Jerusalem AMC Based on Equivalent Circuit Model

The bandwidth of a Jerusalem AMC was investigated based on the equivalent circuit model. Using the circuit model and the derivative of the admittance(Y'), the relation between the bandwidth and various circuit parameters was analyzed. It was shown that the substrate thickness and permeability enhance the bandwidth whereas the loadings on FSS grid degrade the bandwidth. Among the two loadings, the capacitive loading had better bandwidth characteristics than the inductive loading. AMC with single polarization was suggested to relax the bandwidth degradation by the inductive loading.
Fast Video Stabilization Method Using Integral Image

We proposed a new technique to perform fast video stabilization using integral image in this article. In the proposed technique, it evaluate local and global motion by the block matching using the generated integral image for each frame and compensate the motion like jitter. We made the various experimental jitter patterns to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed technique and evaluated stabilization capability and execution time with the existing ones. Through the experiment, we found that the execution time of proposed technique was faster than that of existing techniques and the compensation of jitter was well done.
The Multi-path Power-aware Source Routing(MPSR) for the Maximum Network Lifetime in Ad-Hoc Networks

In Ad-Hoc Networks, the limited energy is the key issue for longer network operation time. To solve this problem, various energy-aware routing techniques have been proposed including PSR (Power-aware Source Routing), HPSR (Hirachical Power-aware Source Routing), and etc. Those techniques generally select the most adequate route considering the energy consumption so that the energy efficiency can be improved. However, There are problems in those techniques that traffic can be concentrated in some specific area in a network. In this paper, a new energy aware routing technique called MPSR is proposed to achieve longer network lifetime and fewer rerouting attempts.
Implementation of Algorithm for home network during a bio-sensor system activities

This study was developed the home network system for the home stay care by bio-sensor system to translate the physical signal algorithm. The composition algorithm has five functions for a input function, frequency variable, displacement point input function, axial Variable, axial Sway Displacement to search a max and min point with adjustment of 0.01 unit in the reference level. There were checked physical condition of body balance to compounded a measurement such as a heart rate, temperature, weight. The algorithm of home network system can be used to support health care management system through health assistants in health care center and central health care system. It was expected to monitor a physical parameter for health management system.
Opportunistic Transmit Cognitive Radio Relay Systems with CSI Delay

In this paper, we analyze the performance of the cooperative cognitive radio relay system which is adapted the recently highly focused cognitive radio system. The performance comparison is made between the system with and that without the opportunistic transmission relay. Especially the selection combining is considered at the destination for simple implementation. In this case, the effect of the channel state information (CSI) delay, which is caused essentially by the process during the CSI delivery, to the system performance is considered. It is noticed that the performance of the system with the opportunistic relay degrades up to 0.6 dB at a given condition compared to the system without the opportunistic relay. And it is shown that the system performance is more sensitive to the CSI delay compared to the frequency acquisition probability of the cognitive radio relay.
On the Feasibility of Dual Mode LTE-FDD/TDD and Dual Mode WiMAX-TDD/LTE-TDD

While Long Term Evolution-Frequency Division Duplexing (LTE-FDD) is regarded as one of the strong candidates for "4G" wireless broadband access in FDD field, LTE-Time Division Duplexing (TDD) is emerging as one possible migration path for WiMAX-TDD in some cases as well as the migration path for Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA). In this paper, we analyze the feasibility of dual mode with LTE-TDD in two combinations: dual mode LTE-FDD/TDD and dual mode Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX)-TDD/LTE-TDD. Thanks to the commonality in numerology, terminology, and frame structure between LTE-FDD and LTE-TDD, dual mode LTE-FDD/TDD looks feasible in a cost-effective manner. Thanks to the commonality in scheduling algorithm, control mechanism, and supported spectrum bands, it is shown that dual mode WiMAX-TDD/LTE-TDD looks feasible as well. It should be also noted that the commonality in numerology and frame structure is critical for building a chip while the commonality in algorithms and control mechanisms is critical to make it work.
Effective Diagnostic Method Of Breast Cancer Data Using Decision Tree

Recently, decision tree techniques have been studied in terms of quick searching and extracting of massive data in medical fields. Although many different techniques have been developed such as CART, C4.5 and CHAID which are belong to a pie in Clermont decision tree classification algorithm, those methods can jeopardize remained data by the binary method during procedures. In brief, C4.5 method composes a decision tree by entropy levels. In contrast, CART method does by entropy matrix in categorical or continuous data. Therefore, we compared C4.5 and CART methods which were belong to a same pie using breast cancer data to evaluate their performance respectively. To convince data accuracy, we performed cross-validation of results in this paper.

Study on Error Correction Method for Advanced Terrestrial DMB

Advanced T-DMB(Terrestial DMB )system which is a new portable mobile broadcasting system has been developed to increase data rate up to double of conventional T-DMB in same bandwidth while maintaining backward compatibility, using hierarchical modulation method. The Advanced T-DMB system realize high qualification of conventional T-DMB system by adding BPSK signal or QPSK signal as enhanced layer to existing DQPSK signal. The enhanced layer signal should be small enough to maintain backward compatibility and to minimize the coverage loss of existing T-DMB service area. But this causes the enhanced layer signal of Advanced T-DMB susceptible to fading effect in transmission channel. In this paper we applied the duo-binary turbo code which has powerful error correction capability to the enhanced layer signal for compensating channel distortion. And the computer simulation results about the performance of the duo-binary turbo code in Advanced T-DMB system are presented along with analysis comments.
A Study on the Validation of Tracking Performance of a Big Parabola Antenna System

The tracking performance of the big tracking antenna system using Radio Frequency is very important for the tracking and position measuring for the flight vehicle, but the precise measuring of the tracking performance is not easy, especially for the big antenna system such as ground telemetry antenna or tracking radar in space application because it's characteristics could be different in accordance with the antenna direction. In this paper, the error factors impacting on the tracking performance (pointing accuracy and tracking accuracy) and the ranges of each factor are reviewed, and the simple and efficient method to measure the tracking performance is introduced which using low earth orbit as the signal source. Finally, the measurement results for the telemetry ground antenna in NARO Space Center are reviewed.
Recognition Technology for Multiple Objects of Asterias Amurensis Using Region Central Moment and Long Line Features

This study is going to suggest the technology to recognize a starfish by judging various starfish images. In case of recognition of single objects of the asterias amurensis, a starfish can be judged by using concave features and short line features but in case of multiple objects, it is impossible to extract the features of a starfish using concave features or short line so that it can't be recognized as a starfish. Accordingly, it is going to suggest the recognition technology using the features such as numbers of standard deviation, relative degree standard deviation and valid deviation of a long line by using the region central moment and a long line of multiple objects. As a result of experiments of the suggested technology, there were cases that recognition failed because the conditions of the standard deviation of a long line or the numbers of valid deviation of the relative degree couldn't satisfy the conditions but around 95% of a high recognition rate was shown.
A Wireless Camera Image Transmission System

In this paper, "a wireless camera image transmission system" is aimed for the free camera shooting in the indoor and outdoor environments. Currently in broadcasting program production environments, because the cable connections between TV OB VAN(outside broadcasting VAN) and EFP camera or ENG camera have many obstacles and limits of distances, it is very unconvienent for the free camera shooting. Therefore in this paper, wireless image transmission device and receiving device in DVB-T broadcasting are developed. In this paper, analog composite image signal output camera, image signal compression MPEG-2 system and COFDM mage transmission system are produced and experimented. The results for the image and transmission system had good QoS values and from this results, it is possible to apply TV program productions and wireless CCTV device industries.
A Study on the 3 Dimension Graphics Accelerator for Phong Shading Algorithm

There are many algorithms for 2D to 3D graphic conversion technology which have the high complexity and large scale of iterative computation. So in this paper propose parallel algorithm and high speed graphics accelerator architecture using Park's MAMS(Multiple Access Memory System) for Phong Shading, one of many 3D algorithms. The Proposed SIMD processor architecture is simulated by HDL and simulated and got 30 times faster result. It means any kinds of 3D algorithm can make parallel algorithm and accelerated by SIMD processor with Park's MAMS for real time processing.

In this paper, we propose the novel additional data transmission technology for DQPSK-OFDM based T-DMB system using watermarking technique. The proposed algorithms which is possible that it can transmit data in indoor or shadow region and improve transmission efficiency. A study on Robust Feature Image for Texture Classification and Detection

In this paper, we make up a feature image including spatial properties and statistical properties on image, and format covariance matrices using region variance magnitudes. By using it to texture classification, this paper puts a proposal for tough texture classification way to illumination, noise and rotation. Also we offer a way to minimalize performance time of texture classification using integral image expressing middle image for fast calculation of region sum. To estimate performance evaluation of proposed way, this paper use a Brodatz texture image, and so conduct a noise addition and histogram specification and create rotation image. And then we conduct an experiment and get better performance over 96%.
Cell ID Detection and SNR Estimation Algorithms Robust to Noise

In this paper, we propose robust cell ID detection algorithm and SNR estimation algorithm applicable to mobile base station, which can be operated independently. The proposed cell ID estimation uses signal subspace to estimate cell IDs used in cell. The proposed SNR estimation algorithm uses number of noise subspace vectors and the corresponding eigen-vectors. Through the computer simulations, we showed that performance of the proposed cell ID detection and SNR estimation algorithms are superior to existing correlation based algorithms. Also we showed that the proposed algorithm is suitable to fast moving channel in high background noise and strong interference signal.
Network-Coding Based Two-way Relay Communication Using Adaptive Modulation Sheme

In this paper, we propose network-coding based two-way relay communication using adaptive modulation scheme for satisfying relay QoS(Quality of Service) according to channel environment between user and relay. Two-way relay communication is bidirectional cooperative communication that users exchange own signal with help of relay. Network-coding based two-way relay communication can achieve high throughput compared to conventional scheme through reducing time slots. we propose adaptive M-QAM modulation scheme in network-coding based two-way relay communication for satisfying QoS of relay. Simulation result shows that the proposed scheme satisfies goal QoS of system.
A Study on the Optimization of Silicon Antiresonant Reflecting Optical Waveguides (ARROW) for Integrated Optical Sensor Applications

We optimized the Si(substrate)/
(core)/air multi-layers rib-optical waveguides of antiresonant reflecting optical waveguide (ARROW) for integrated optical biosensor structure utilizing beam propagation method (BPM). Thickness of anti-resonant cladding was derived to minimize the propagation loss and leaky field mode deeply related with evanescent mode was theoretically derived. Depth, width, refractive index and cladding thickness of anti-resonant cladding were numerically calculated into 2.3
, 1.488, and 0.11
respectively to minimize propagation loss using the BPM simulation tool. Finally one- and two-dimensional propagation characteristics of ARROW was confirmed.

Conventional Or Rule decide final sensing result depending on all of SU making sensing result. So Conventional Or Rule must be combined all of local result to decide PU absent or not. But Proposed Or Rule is not needed all of local result depending on each of SU of local result. So Proposed Or Rule can reduce decision time. In this Paper, we verify proposed Or Rule using simulation tool similar with matlab. And we can calculate false alarm probability and miss detection probability of proposed Or rule and conventional Or rule.
Implementation of HSDPA-to-WiFi Access Point -HSDPA CPE

This paper is to implement HSDPA-CPE that can provides WiFi terminal with wireless Internet service through the connection to HSDPA wireless network. This system aims to support HSDPA interface in upstream, and WiFi and 100Mbps Ethernet interface in downstream. So, this system can provide multiple Internet customers with wireless Internet service by using WiFi terminal in subway, car, ship, and so on, and WiFi terminals that be registered in HSDPA service can be connected to Internet.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of multilink Bluetooth service and design the multilink application between various Bluetooth devices. There are many restrictions for the Bluetooth based multilink services. Especially, these restrictions occur due to SCO and ACL which construct logical links. In forming ake a scatternet, only one SCO link can be utilized. Also, the number of ACL link depends on the number of RFCOMM channels. High quality audio data streaming cannot be supported by using SCO link. In that case, ACL link should be used for the audio streaming and the data rate of other data links decreases. We implemented the multilink services to verify the considerations for the multilink service.

In this paper, we present a performance evaluation for face recognition algorithm using feature feedback according to the Feature mask. In the face recognition method using feature feedback, important region is extracted from original data set by using the reverse mapping from the extracted features to the original space. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of feature feedback according to shape of Feature Mask for Yale data. Comparing the result using Important part and unimportant part, we show the validity and applicability of the pattern recognition method based on feature feedback.

In this paper, we analyze and simulate the capacity of Bluetooth AP (Access Point) for LBS (Location Based Service) with mobile phones and Bluetooth. Based on the modeling of connection setup times and data transmission times, we derive the capacity model of Bluetooth AP. Moreover, we consider content size and the statistics of incoming users for the simulation. From the simulation, we derive the possible number of users with capacity of the given Bluetooth AP in order to utilize the results in the real application environment.

Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET) has highly dynamic topology, hence presents a great challenge on the network performance evaluation and network protocol design. We proposed total path break up time,
, as a metric to measure the performance of the total system as well as an individual connection. In this paper, we evaluate and analyze the performance of three mobility models(Random Waypoint, Manhattan, Blocked Manhattan) by applying the total path break up metric, investigate why network parameters such as packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, etc. vary by mobility models. We also present analysis result how much AODV Buffer improve packet delivery ratio and increase the end-to-end delay in spite of the path break up.
The Implementation research of CAN linked safety sensor hardware

This paper is a study of Car safety network system using sensed data from varied sensors. This hardware will work with various sensors and communication protocols. There are many sensors. Then, I selected 3 sensors for test, which were sonic sensor for distance checking, tilt sensor for rollover and impact sensor for car accident and theft. Also, there are many interfaces for sensor. Therefore I designed hardware to support various sensor interfaces. For instance ADC(Analog to Digital converter), I2C, RS232, RS485, CAN. In this case, sonic sensor have I2C interface, tilt sensor have RS485 interface and Impact sensor have analog interface. In this research, I can gather sensing data from 3 sensors (mentioned above), and sending control signal to other processor with RS232, RS485, CAN communication. So, we can use easily this hardware for many cases of systems, which need sensors.
Study on the Shortest Path by the energy function in Hopfield neworks

Hopfield networks have been proposed as a new computational tool for finding the shortest path of networks. Zhang and Ali studied the method of finding shortest path by expended neurons of Hopfield networks. Ali Algorithm is well known as the tool with the neurons of branch numbers. Where a network grows bigger, it needs much more time to solve the problem by Ali algorithm. This paper modifies the method to find the synapse matrix and the input bias vector. And it includes the eSPN algorithm after proper iterations of the Hopfield network. The proposed method is a tow-stage method and it is more efficient to find the shortest path.The proposed method is verified by three sample networks. And it could be more applicable then Ali algorithm because it's fast and easy. When the cost of brach is changed, the proposed method works properly. Therefore dynamic cost-varing networks could be used by the proposed method.
The Virtual Model House System using Modeling-based Eyetracking

Since the most of existing virtual model house used non-immersive type virtual reality technology, it was made to control using direct input type device such as keyboard and mouse. But in this paper realized not only direct data entry method but also indirect data entry method using eyetracking technology through universal webcam for virtual model house based upon modeling. In this paper showed the position of pointer controlled according to the relative movement of pupils or the part of function related to the equipment entry called by comparing the value of gray after extracting the area of pupil in the user' video data received from webcam. Such a method provided the convenience of navigation and interface to the user.
Object Detection Method for The Wild Pig Surveillance System

In this paper, we propose a method to improve the efficiency of the moving object detection in real-time surveillance camera system. The existing methods, the methods using differential image and background image, are difficult to detect the moving object from outside the video streams. The proposed method keeps the background image if it doesn't be detected moving object using the differential value between a previous frame and a current frame. And the background image is renewed as the moving object is gone in a frame. To decide people and wild pig, the proposed system estimates a bounding box enclosing each moving object in the detecting region. As a result of simulation, the proposed method is better than the existing method.
Near-field Analysis of Dual Parabolic Cylindrical Reflector System for Compact Antenna Test Range

In this paper, the dual parabolic cylindrical reflector systems are analyzed as the reflector system for the CATR(Compact Antenna Test Range) facility. The near-field at the test zone of the CATR is calculated by using the PO(Physical Optics) approximation. The CATR has to provide an uniform plane wave with the minimum amplitude and phase ripple and the low cross polarization. Therefore, in this paper, the near-field pattern are calculated, and the ripple and taper of the field and the cross polarization are investigated with the position of the subreflector and the test region. It is confirmed that the analysis results can be used for the design of the CATR with the dual parabolic cylindrical reflector.
A study on Non-contacted Transmitter Switch for Vehicle

Now normally using a contact method of vehicle Inhibitor Switch that is use direct voltage level signal. This method is good solution for signal deliverly. but The contacted method have a short lifetime because of deterioration of contact surface. so we suggest to non-contacted method using magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor is used to non-contacted method that is solution for problem of contacted method. In this paper using that of magnetic sensor feature, so we applied to Vehicle Transmitter switch that of non-contacting method. Sensor voltage outputs have variable electric potential that normally 0 mV to 150 mV, and it is depend on Switch Angle. we used two differential sin wave for switching of 5 state signal.
The Implementation of Motion Vector Detection Algorithm for the Optical-Sensor

In this paper, we propose modified algorithm of motion vector detection for the pixel of image in the optical sensor. It is designed to reduce the amount of operation and have more accuracy in the motion detection than previous block matching algorithm. The proposed algorithm is implemented with Cyclone and fabricated using SEC 0.35um CMOS 1-poly-4-metal technology. The result of test with CARTESIAN ROBOT meets the desired performance.

In this paper, for supporting more variable services than typical DSRC, brand call service, truck and an official vehicle services, etc. using location information and mobile communication network could be adapted. emergence helping information providing, multimedia service that are wireless internet, movies and games, are increasingly needed for competible wireless car mobile terminal. Those needs would make a development a wireless telemetries system based on WiBro interface in ubiquitous vehicle environment. We analysis the proposed telematics mobile terminal using simulation which is concerned about fixed bandwidth and dynamic bandwidth.

Reinforcement learning performs learning through interacting with trial-and-error in dynamic environment. Therefore, in dynamic environment, reinforcement learning method like TD-learning and TD(
)-learning are faster in learning than the conventional stochastic learning method. However, because many of the proposed reinforcement learning algorithms are given the reinforcement value only when the learning agent has reached its goal state, most of the reinforcement algorithms converge to the optimal solution too slowly. In this paper, we present GDRLS algorithm for finding the shortest path faster in a maze environment. GDRLS is select the candidate states that can guide the shortest path in maze environment, and learn only the candidate states to find the shortest path. Through experiments, we can see that GDRLS can search the shortest path faster than TD-learning and TD(
)-learning in maze environment.
A Study on the Development of LED Spot Luminaire for Image Lighting

This study manufactured spot lighting fixtures for the broadcasting stage and LED lighting fixtures, measured the illumination, dimming, and color temperature, and installed LED lighting and spot Fresnel lighting to the camera by turns with the same subject to confirm and look into the possibility of replacement of LED lighting fixtures by shooting the figures and comparing them. The analysis of the photographed subject found that the lighting apparatus of LED 144[W] was superior to the tungsten halogen illuminator of 1 [kW] in terms of brightness and color of an image. The measuring of the energy used in 144 [W] LED lighting equipment and tungsten halogen 1[kW] lighting equipment suggested that LED saved more than 80 [%] of energy in the same intensity of illumination. The comparison of the light distribution and light intensity distribution of halogen tungsten illuminator of 1[kW] and LED 144[W] lighting apparatus found that when a subject received concentrated lighting, effective lighting is possible because the illumination intensity on the surface of the lighted subject was high. In performance halls or studios of about 6 [m] height, there is no problem of illumination intensity in LED 144 [W] illuminator. Therefore, it is possible to replace the existing tungsten halogen 1 [KW] illuminator one to one.

In this paper we analyse radiation measurement method for UWB wireless system of the wideband low power frequency characteristics. In the radiation measurement environment we discuss RMS electric field strength, UWB PSD, UWB detect signal level, UWB noise signal collection etc.. also, we discuss power measure method of the CISPR16-1, low level e.i.r.p radiation measurement method. lastly we analyse consideration problem for the signal analyser of the UWB system.
Implementation of Wireless Automatic Control System for Vehicle Interior Environment

In this paper, we designed and implemented mobile object automatic system based on senor networks for telematics. For developing this system, we gather the various sensing data through wireless communication method using zigbee sensor networks and analyze them in monitoring equipment. And we enable the driver to recognize the car state information on the whole by interfacing analyzed data to telematics unit. And, we implemented automatic controller that can control temperature and humidity in car automatically by actuating air conditioner based on the data that was monitored throughout temperature sensor, humidity sensor and brightness sensor based on sensor networks.
The Development of New dynamic WRR Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

The key of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is low power wireless communication technology and proper resource allocation technology for efficient routing. The distinguished resource allocation method is needed for efficient routing in sensor network. To solve this problems, we propose an algorithm that can be adopted in USN with making up for weak points of PQ and WRR in this paper. The proposed algorithm produces the control discipline by the fuzzy theory to dynamically assign the weight of WRR scheduler with checking the Queue status of each class in sensor network. From simulation results, the proposed algorithm improves the packet loss rate of the EF class traffic to 6.5% by comparison with WRR scheduling method and that of the AF4 class traffic to 45% by comparison with PQ scheduling method.
