Implementation of Ultra-Wideband Microstrip Bandpass Filter for 10 Gb/s Wireless Transmission THz Transmitter and Receiver

In this paper, a microstrip bandpass filter(BPF) with 3 dB bandwidth of more than 50 % at center frequency of 30 GHz was implemented. The implemented BPF is to be used as ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying) transmission and reception filters in IF band for THz transmitter and receiver capable of 10 Gb/s wireless data transmission. The microstrip BPF with ultra-wideband characteristics was implemented using a stepped-impedance lowpass filter(LPF) and a composite quarter-wave short stubs where the LPF is functioning as attenuating the upper stopband and quarter-wave short stubs is functioning as attenuating the lower stopband. The measured results are as follows; the insertion loss is 0.65 dB at 30 GHz, the stopband characteristics are -10 dB and -16 dB at 10 GHz and 50 GHz, respectively, and the passband flatness is
dB at 20~40 GHz.
Performance of an Interworking on the VLC

This paper represents an interworking architecture for keeping the VLC audio quality between Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) and IEEE 802.11 Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) where both mobile routers and mobile nodes are moving dynamically. Systematic performance analysis on the interworking architecture has been conducted by using OPNET simulator to show the results such as Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and throughput. Based on simulation results, when the number of MANET nodes is small, PDR remains relatively stable even though data packets increase. However, with the many MANET nodes, PDR decreases as data traffic increases. Throughput is affected by the number of MANET nodes. Especially when the MANET node density has increased further, throughput is much higher, but it is not affected by the mobility speed. However, FTP download and upload response time is not affected much by both the number of MANET nodes and the mobility speed.
A Recovery Scheme of a Cluster Head Failure for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

The underwater environments are quite different from the terrestrial ones in terms of the communication channel and constrains. In underwater wireless sensor network, the probability of node failure is high because sensor nodes are deployed in more harsh environments than the ground based networks and moved by waves and currents. There are researches considering the communication environments of underwater to improve the data transmission throughput. In this paper, we present a checkpointing scheme of the cluster heads that recoveries from a cluster head failure quickly. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme enhances the reliability of the networks and more efficient in terms of the energy consumption and the recovery latency than without checkpointing.

We try to build the base for implementation of smart water treatment plant through identifying status by data acquisition such as temperature, humidity, flow, level, pump status and CCTV by using USN terminal such as Zigbee, Wi-Fi, UHF at the center of the flowmeter calibration center in K-water institute. The data obtained from various sensors is transmitted to data processing device through different types of USN network, the processed data is implemented to monitor by smart phone and we try to perform low cost and high efficient USN-based pilot project by implementing remote monitoring system using network performance analysis and mobile devices.
Autonomous Indoor Lighting Device Control System Based on Wireless Sensor Network

In this paper, we propose an autonomous Indoor lighting control system in which indoor lighting devices are autonomously controlled such that electricity bills are minimized in our daily life. Our focus is to utilize Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors to detect the presence of human being indoor and automatically to control indoor lighting electric devices. A control algorithm is also devised to control the whole system. We justify the proposed system by demonstrating specific applications in our everyday life. Cost survey and experimental results also demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed system in real life.
An Efficient Multi-Channel MAC Protocol for Cognitive Ad-hoc Networks with Idle Nodes Assistance

In this paper, we propose an efficient multichannel MAC protocol with idle nodes assistance to avoid the multi-channel hidden terminal problem in cognitive radio ad hoc network and further to improve the performance of the network. The proposed MAC protocol can be applied to the cognitive radio adhoc network where every node is equipped with the single transceiver and one common control channel exists for control message negotiation. In the proposed protocol, the idle nodes available in the neighbour of communication nodes are utilized because the idle nodes have the information about the channels being utilized in their transmission range. Whenever the nodes are negotiating for the channel, idle nodes can help the transmitting and receiving nodes to select the free data channel for data transfer. With the proposed scheme, we can minimize the hidden terminal problem and decrease the collision between the secondary users when selecting the channel for data transfer. As a result, the performance of the network is increased.

Collision Avoidance Power Control of Carrier Sensing Zone for Energy Efficiency in Wireless Sensor Network

In Wireless Sensor Networks, IEEE 802.11 happen unnecessary energy consume because of packet transmission using maximum power between sensor node. The BASIC scheme is to use maximum transmission power for RTS-CTS and minimum required transmission power so as to high energy efficiency for DATA-ACK. However BASIC scheme may degrade network throughput with collision of ACK packet by node in carrier sensing zone and may result in higher energy consumption than when using IEEE 802.11 without power control. Existing PCM(Power Control MAC) scheme is to use DATA packet transmission method by periodically maximum power level so as to sensing DATA packet transmit in carrier sensing zone of transmission node, and this method can avoid collision of ACK packet. This paper present problem by energy efficiency of PCM scheme, and design some more improved PCM scheme.
A Study On RFID Security Enhancement Protocol Of Passive Tag Using AES Algorithm

Recently arithmetic circuit of lightweight AES symmetric key algorithm that can apply to passive tag have been developed, then security protocol of RFID system using AES symmetric encryption techniques have been proposed. This paper proposed security enhancement protocol of RFID system using lightweight AES arithmetic circuit and random number generator of passive tag. The proposed protocol have AES algorithm and random number generator at server, reader, tag, and transmit encrypted message by separate secret key using random number at each session. The mutual authentication of tag and reader used reader random number and tag random number. As a result, proposal protocol reduce authentication steps of the existing mutual authentication protocol, and reduce amount of computation of tag, and demonstrate as secure protocol to every attack type of attacker by decrease communication step of Air Zone.

algorithm-based optimal path search method to avoid foot-and-mouth disease areas. The main features and contributions of the proposed system are as follows. First, the proposed system is developed based on active-tag for identifying status and location information of livestock. Second, the system is newly designed based on
algorithm for supporting optimal path search services. The performance evaluation of the proposed system is performed via simulation. The results of performance evaluation show that the proposed system can efficiently support the optimal path search services.
A Software Framework to provide multiple VPMN MSISDNs with a Single IMSI

The UMTS is the most widely used specifications to deploy a mobile system and it supports an automatic roaming function. Users in the UMTS can use their phone numbers even in foreign countries without having to change their mobile phones. Also some users want to use other phone numbers which are allocated in foreign countries. To meet such requirements, many methods have been proposed. However, those require much cost to adopt or are not easy to use. In this paper, we propose a software framework that provides multiple MSISDNs with a single IMSI. The roaming SCP is adopted to modify the procedure of the location update and the mobile-terminated call. In the performance evaluation, we compared the proposed scheme with the standard scheme and the schemes in the related works. The results showed that the proposed scheme has 7.6% lower signaling cost than the mobile-station-based scheme and 9.7% lower cost than the telecommunication-network-based scheme.

Nowadays, Internet Telephony Services based on SIP are gaining an explosive increase for general user. Thus a various demands of the user about convenience of IP-PBX are growing. The most important requirements of these is hybrid IP telephony system which is connected not only internet telephone but also general PSTN telephone. Therefore, in this paper, we have developed Hybrid IP-PBX connected all type of telephony terminals for small office. We have developed FXS module for connecting all type and FXO for using PSTN telephone number also. This Hybrid IP-PBX that is can be connected Soft-phone provide various optional services. We measured voice quality and test simultaneous calling for proof of validity.
A Study on the Prediction of the Nonlinear Chaotic Time Series Using Genetic Algorithm based Fuzzy Neural Network

In this paper we present an approach to the structure identification based on genetic algorithm and to the parameter identification by hybrid learning method in neuro-fuzzy-genetic hybrid system in order to predicate the Mackey-Glass Chaotic time series. In this scheme the basic idea consists of two steps. One is the construction of a fuzzy rule base for the partitioned input space via genetic algorithm, the other is the corresponding parameters of the fuzzy control rules adapted by the backpropagation algorithm. In an attempt to test the performance the proposed system, three patterns, x(t-3), x(t-6) and x(t-9), was prepared according to time interval. It was through lots of simulation proved that the initial small error of learning owed to the good structural identification via genetic algorithm. The performance was showed in Table 2.
Defects Detection System on Injection Molded Part

In this paper the approach of neural network was proposed which detects a variety of defects in the molded parts. In an attempt to improve the response of the system, It is designed to minimize the use of memory via LookUp table in software. The goal of these methods was to extract the features of samples in learning of neural networks, overcoming the algorithms of defects detection and classification. Through the learning of 500 sample patterns of molded parts, defects of 3% molded parts was detected and classified as the incorrect diameter parts. We expect that proposed approach is an effective alternative to save test time and cost for defect detection of a fine pattern within the molded parts.
Adaptive Load Balancing Scheme for Real-Time Video Stream Transmission in Mobile Environment

We propose an adaptive load balancing scheme to transport real-time video streams efficiently in this paper. The playback buffer level of a video requesting client is high or low temporarily in mobile environment. This scheme attempts to allocate more network bandwidth to serve a video request with the lower buffer level preferentially. In this scheme, the amount of network bandwidth is dynamically allocated to the requesting clients according to their playback buffer levels in a distributed mobile system. In order to improve the quality of service and real-time performance of individual video playback, the proposed load balancing scheme tries to maximize the number of frames that are transported successfully to the client prior to their playback times. Fair services can also be provided to all the concurrent clients by making their playback situation more adaptive. The performance of this load balancing scheme is compared with that of other static load balancing scheme through extensive simulation experiments, resulting in the higher ratio of frames transmitted successfully within given deadlines.

Sequence homology analysis in the substances in the phenomenon of life is to create database by sorting and indexing and to demonstrate the usefulness of informatics. In this paper, Markov models are used in GenScan program to convert the pattern of complex eukaryotic protein sequences. It becomes impossible to navigate the minimum distance, complexity increases exponentially as the exact calculation. It is used scorecard in amino acid substitutions between similar amino acid substitutions to have a differential effect score, and is applied the Markov models sophisticated concealment of the transition probability model. A Study on the Implementation of Nanta Music using a Haptic Device in Virtual Reality

This paper investigates the possibility of exploiting haptic force-feedback technology for interacting with Nanta music. We use VR technologies including touch processing technologies and haptic devices to offer touch of cylinder objects and cup object to users. Haptic device is used to implement touch model in VR space. Matlab/Simulink and proSENCE Virtual Touch Toolbox of Handshake Inc. for experiment, are used as programing tools. Function needed to describe the movement of x, y, and z axis respectively are applied to delineate the natural movement of water in cup object modeled with 3D. A certain amount of water in cup object has the difference of sounds. In experiment, to perceive the appearance of 3D object by touch and to feel the tactile by touch are conducted with the effect of sound on Haptic perception. We also verify that it is possible to develop games or contents in VR space by using point.
Performance Analysis of Cost-Effective Handoff Scheme in PMIPv6 Networks with DNS Supporting

Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) is designed to provide a network-based localized mobility management protocol, but it does not handle the global mobility of hosts. In this paper, we propose a location management scheme based on Domain Name System (DNS) for PMIPv6. In this proposed scheme, DNS as a location manager provides PMIPv6 for global mobility. In addition, a paging extension scheme is introduced to PMIPv6 in order to support large numbers of mobile terminals and enhance network scalability. To evaluate the proposed location management scheme, we establish an analytical model, formulate the location update and the paging cost, and analyse the influence of the different factors on the total signalling cost. The performance results show how the total signal cost changes under various parameters.
Dispersion Tolerance for Optical Duobinary Transmitters based on a Mach-Zehnder Modulator and an Optical Filter

We theoretically investigated dispersion tolerance of an optical duobinary transmitter employed a Mach-Zehnder modulator and an optical filter. Compared to the optical transmitter based on a Mach-Zehnder modulator and an optical delay interferometer by optimizing the applied voltage for improving the dispersion tolerance, the demonstrated duobinary transmitter provides improved receiver sensitivity and higher dispersion tolerance while maintaining narrow spectral bandwidth.
Concurrent Software Development Process Model

Though a dozen of different software life cycle models are suggested, there is no universal model which can satisfy all the characteristics of software. Organizations mix and match different life cycle models to develop a model more tailored for their systems and capabilities. We suggest overlapped-concurrent development life cycle model that is more suitable in various software development environment. Firstly, we divided the development process into abstract and implementation stage. Abstract stage is from software concept phase to detailed design starting time, and implementation stage is from detailed design phase to system testing phase. Next, the abstract stage introduced the overlapped phase concept that begins the next phase when the step is completed 20% by applying pareto's law. In the implementation stage, we introduced the concurrent development which the several phases are performed some time as when one use-case (UC) is completed the next development phase is started immediately. The proposed model has an advantage that it can reduce the inefficiency of development resource greatly. This model can increase the customer satisfaction with a great product at a low cost and on a short schedule. Also, this model can contribute to increase the software development success rate.

Vlade Hybrid Antenna for the Mobile Phone Handset Terminal

In recent years mobile phone handset terminal has tended to have additional various functions and slim and light weight, and its internal space is getting smaller and narrower. According to complex parts, small and narrow inner space is caused not sufficient bandwidth and lower impedance. Moreover, additional polarization loss by the surrounding parts produces is lower effectiveness and increases difficulties for getting the antenna gain. For IFA is low profile structure based on the ILA(Inverted L Antenna) which is transformed from the monopole antenna. While this antenna has lots of advantages in internal antenna of mobile phone, it has some disadvantage of reduced bandwidth and gains compared with monopole antenna. Design of Triple-band Internal Antenna for the Mobile Phone

In this paper, transformed IFA design is proposed to improve the antenna gain of GSM/DCS/PCS band. New antenna structure has been approved to be more convenient matching in the mobile phone terminal and increase gains and expansion bandwidth through the simulation and real measurement. According to measurement, it's shown 1.57dB higher average gain than conventional IFA.

In this paper, we propose the Noise Cancel DTW that to use a kind of feature compensation. This method is not to use estimated noise but we use real life environment noise data for Voice Recognition. And we applied this contaminated data for recognition reference model that suitable for noise environment. NCDTW is combined with surround noise when generating reference patten. We improved voice recognition rate at mobile environment to use NCDTW.

In this paper, JPEG(Joint Photographic Experts Group) image data video decoding technique is presented, it is Huffman decoding method and fractal image method which is very complexive algorithm and the time required much it to implement this method and the first image is decoded to video frame image. This have defect of overlap decoding and transport work because of impossible to represent objective value of resemblance. The proposed method was calculated the mathematical absolute image resemblance and simplify the moving picture process to reducing the step of moving picture codefying. Comparison of Spectrum Sensing Algorithms for Cognitive Radio Systems

Cognitive radio (CR), which is proposed as a technology that utilizes the frequency resources effectively, has studied to relive scarcity of the frequency resources. CR provides opportunistically under-utilize licensed frequency to the secondary user. However, in the wireless channels, due to the effect of fading and shadowing environments, spectrum sensing performance is compromised. Besides, to detect and classify various CR systems, a novel spectrum sensing algorithm is needed. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed the spectrum sensing algorithm with water marking scheme.
A Study of LED Wireless Communication Channel Characteristics considering Latticed Indoor Circumstance

LED is in the spotlight as next generation's lighting due to the fact that it has good efficiency on converting electricity to light and has long life time. Recently it expands the scope up to taillight of car, signal lamp and indoor light. Additionally it can send data information simultaneously with lighting, which is called lighting-communication convergence. In this paper, the channel characteristics of LED wireless communication is studied in the condition that indoor is latticed with 1mm span and photons started from LED are firstly arrived at each lattice after that these move as straight line before meeting photodiode(PD).

For Effective and systematic response to disasters, needs of broadband multimedia services in wireless communication of PPDR(public protection and disaster relief) is increasing gradually. Recently in Korea, by the digital television transition, Korea Communications Commission is considering whether the freed spectrum can assign additional spectrum of PPDR or not. In this paper, we were defined the input parameters, were estimated the spectrum of requirements for Korean wireless communication of PPDR based on M.1390 methodology recommended by ITU-R.
A Study on the Implementation of SNS Message Classification by Emotion Factors

SNS is growing by leaps and bounds, and many users of SNS are using by a medium of communication. Using SNS users are using means of their own news and the change of emotional expression. In this study using emotional elements to the program was implemented to classify the message. Extraction of emotional elements were used for emotional vocabulary in OMLS (Ocean-Monmouth Legal Services). Emotional elements were extended by The Roget of the thesaurus and WordNet.
A Study on the Performance Evaluation of Broadcasting Shooting Halogen Lights and LED Lights

In this study, two types of LED spot light with the development of the current broadcast studio-light is installed in the space being used in many products, companies in the UK Arri-650W, 1000W Fresnel spot light and illumination, color temperature and color rendering comparison of data measured compared with the target of the shooting and the color rendition on images was measured by comparing the color. In the future, broadcast - shooting LED spot light replacing whether the available studies on the performance evaluation were analyzed. Experimental evaluation of a replacement for halogen lights in LED Spot light is potential was confirmed.
A Classification of the Web Design Concepts Elicitation Techniques Based on Design Elements

Elicitation of design concepts is the most important process in web-site design, but it is not an easy task to average designers. In this paper, we have analyzed most of the good web designs and classified them into seven large categories mainly based on design elements. This framework will give a guidance to average designers to easily tackle the elicitation process of web design concepts.
A Simulator of LBN Method for Fast Link Recovery over Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks

In wireless ad-hoc network, the detection of link breakage and re-establishing the route path causes lots of network overhead and results in communication delay. In the LBN method, the node causing a link breakage actively sends a message to neighbors so that they can instantly start re-establishing process of new path. In this paper we describe the result of network simulation we performed using NS2 to show the effectiveness of LBN method.
Wiener-Hopf Equation with Robustness to Application System

In this paper, we propose an equivalent Wiener-Hopf equation. The proposed algorithm can obtain the weight vector of a TDL(tapped-delay-line) filter and the error simultaneously if the inputs are orthogonal to each other. The equivalent Wiener-Hopf equation was analyzed theoretically based on the MMSE(minimum mean square error) method. The results present that the proposed algorithm is equivalent to original Wiener-Hopf equation. In conclusion, our method can find the coefficient of the TDL (tapped-delay-line) filter where a lattice filter is used, and also when the process of Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization is used. Furthermore, a new cost function is suggested which may facilitate research in the adaptive signal processing area.
Analysis on Characteristics for Sharing Co-channel between Communication Systems

In this paper, we analyze the distance between two systems, WiBro and WLAN, compared to standard interference probability for channel co-use in order to be used as a criteria in realization. Co-channel and adjacent channel interference probability and its effect of (WiBro) into Wireless LAN (WLAN) in TV White Spaces (TVWS) is evaluated through Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool(SEAMCAT) based on the Monte-Carlo simulation method. As a result, in the case of co-channel interference, the minimum distance between WiBro Mobile Station(MS) and WLAN User Equipment (UE) should be 210 m to allow the maximum transmitter power of WiBro UE of 25 dBm. The transmit power of WiBro BS have to be reduced to -4.96 dBm.
