Fuzzy-based Dynamic Packet Scheduling Algorithm for Multimedia Cognitive Radios

Cognitive radio, a new paradigm for wireless communication, is being recently expected to support various types of multimedia traffics. To guarantee Quality of Service (QoS) from SUs, a static packet priority policy can be considered. However, this approach can easily satisfy Quality of Service of high priority application while that of lower priority applications is being degraded. In the paper, we propose a fuzzy-based dynamic packet scheduling algorithm to support multimedia traffics in which the dynamic packet scheduler modifies priorities of packets according to Fuzzy-rules with the information of priority and delay deadline of each packet, and determines which packet would be transmitted through the channel of the primary user in the next time slot in order to reduce packet loss rate. Our simulation result shows that packet loss rate can be improved through the proposed scheme when overall traffic load is not heavy.
A Study of Trace-driven Simulation for Multi-core Processor Architectures

In order to overcome the complexity and power problems of superscalar processors, the multi-core architecture has been prevalent recently. Although the execution-driven simulation is wide spread, the trace-driven simulation has speed advantages over the execution-driven simulation. We present a methodology to simulate multi-core architecture using trace-driven simulator. Using SPEC 2000 benchmarks as input, the trace-driven simulation has been performed for the cores ranging from 2 to 16 extensively. As a result, the 16-core processor resulted in 4.1 IPC and 13.3 times speed up over single-core processor on the average.
Volume Calculation for Filling Up of Rubbish Using Stereo Camera and Uniform Mesh

For the construction of safe and clear urban environment, it is necessary that we identify the rubbish waste volume and we know the accuracy volume. In this paper, we developed the algorithm which computes the waste volume using the stereo camera for enhancing the environment of waste repository. Using the stereo vision camera, we first computed the distortion parameters of stereo camera and then we obtained the points cloud of the object surface by measuring the target object. Regarding the points cloud as the input of the volume calculation algorithm, we obtained the waste volume of the target object. For this purpose, we suggested two volume calculation algorithm based on the uniform meshing method. The difference between the measured volume such as today`s one and yesterday`s one gives the reposit of waste volume. Using this approach, we can get the change of the waste volume repository by reading the volume reports weekly, monthly and yearly, so we can get quantitative statistics report of waste volume.
Design and Implementation of a Efficient Search Engine Using Collaborative Filtering

Recently, due to the increasing demand for mobile devices, mobile searching market is rapidly growing. However, there is the limit of screen size, when searching for mobile devices, various results should be shown at a glance. The reason is that results are important given that up to 43 percent of people tend to check only first page. In this paper, a set of keywords for searching will be used to find out the users` interests. Users were divided into groups after going through Collaboration filtering. Therefore, the result of this experiment, reduced time for searching and improved quality of searching were confirmed.

In this paper, it is presented the method of image recovering which existing is only pixel processing, but suggesting method is concluding image clustering overlap degree after classfying around unit fixel to crowd pixel. Concluding overlap degree threshold value is after identifying pattern pixel and grasping geometry structure of sample pattern and deduction of deciding function. distinguishing feature space is above four dimension is reason of not visual observation of pattern structure. consideration of distribution structure is distance of center of crowd pixel, the number of each crowd pattern pixel and standard deviation. The over threshold value elimate the overlap image and the downward is recovered and established dynamic image. memory storage deduction of 20% and elevation of 15% performance is estimated in recovery of image.
Performance Analysis for System Co-existence between Adjacent Channels with Extended Hata and IEEE 802.11in TVWS

In this paper, we analyze the maximum allowable transmitting output level of transmitter, which meets the required interference probability, in order to get the method that different communication systems can be existed and used simultaneously in adjacent channels. We analyze the performance result according to various density of interfering transmitter and transmitter output in hetero systems. In order to get the relationship with between density of interfering transmitter and transmitter output, we consider WiBro as an interfering transmitter, WLAN as a victim receiver and Extended Hata and IEEE 802.11 model as a channel environment respectively. Analyzed coexistence results may be widely applied into the technique developed to get the coexisting condition for wireless devices using many communication protocols in same frequency.
Targeting Algorithm for Personalized Message Syndication

Personalized message syndication is an important process for maximizing the effect of mobile marketing. This paper proposes an algorithm for determining clients satisfying target conditions in real-time. The proxy server as an intermediate node stores client profiles (gender, age, location, etc) and their respective summaries into a database. When a company syndicates messages at run time, the proxy server maps target conditions expressed by boolean expressions to integer value and determines target clients by comparing target value with profile summary. Thus, this approach provides efficient personalized message syndication in very large systems with millions of clients because it can determine target clients in real-time and work with a traditional database easily.
A Prim Minimum Spanning Tree Algorithm for Directed Graph

This paper suggests an algorithm that obtains Directed Graph Minimum Spanning Tree (DMST), using Prim MST algorithm which is Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) of undirected graph. At first, I suggested the Prim DMST algorithm that chooses Minimum Weight Arc(MWA) from out-going nodes from each node, considering differences between undirected graph and directed graph. Next, I proved a disadvantage of Prim DMST algorithm and Chu-Liu/Edmonds DMST (typical representative DMST) of not being able to find DMST, applying them to 3 real graphs. Last, as an algorithm that can always find DMST, an advanced Prim DMST is suggested. The Prim DMST algorithm uses a method of choosing MWA among out-going arcs of each node. On the other hand, the advanced Prim DMST algorithm uses a method of choosing a coinciding arc from the out-going and in-going arcs of each node. And if there is no coinciding arc, it chooses MWA from the out-going arcs from each node. Applying the suggested algorithm to 17 different graphs, it succeeded in finding the same DMST as that found by Chu-Liu/Edmonds DMST algorithm. Also, it does not require such a complicated calculation as that of Chu-Liu/Edmonds DMST algorithm to delete the cycle, and it takes less time for process than Prim DMST algorithm.

Fabrication of Millimeter Wave Radiometer

We have manufactured a close range Dicke type radiometer which consists of two stage low noise amplifier and diode detector. Frequency range of this system is 35 GHz. And this is used for studying temperature calibration on specific objects. We have present millimeter-wave radiometer`s thermal calibration method and its characteristics. From absolute temperature 299K to 309K, in proportion to increase temperature, output voltages are linearly increased. With the advance of internet technology and fast growing of data volume, it become very hard to find a demanding information from the huge amount of data. Recommender system can solve the delema by helping a user to find required information. This paper proposes a reinforcement learning based hybrid recommendation system to predict user`s preference. The hybrid recommendation system combines the content based filtering and collaborate filtering, and the system was tested using 2000 images. We used mean abstract error(MAE) to compare the performance of the collaborative filtering, the content based filtering, the naive hybrid filtering, and the reinforcement learning algorithm based hybrid filtering methods. The experiment result shows that the performance of the proposed hybrid filtering performance based on reinforcement learning is superior to other methods.
Optical Internet Recovery using Partial Wavelength Conversion Nodes

This paper studies the effects of wavelength conversion on self-healing optical networks. We examined the effects of wavelength conversion capability on the backup routing and the spare wavelength utilization. The efficiency of spare wavelength utilization is proportionally increased as the wavelength conversion capability increases, different from the call blocking probability for which about 30% of wavelength conversion capability shows nearly the same performance as full wavelength conversion capability. The spare resource utilization efficiency can be improved by using alternate routing and wavelength assignment algorithms.
A Location-based Green Home Service using a Smart Phone

In recent years, efficient energy management technologies are required, as environmental problems have emerged worldwide. In response to this, smart home services focused on efficient energy management technology seems to be emerging. And the integration of technology of user-oriented real-time energy monitoring and control systems is required. In this paper, we present a location-based green home service using smart phones for efficient energy management in a house. We design a green home network system to apply the green home service, and implement an integrated gateway system which connects and controls each appliance in a house. We develop appliance control services and indoor location services on smart phones, and determine whether user`s occupancy of each room by measuring the location according to the variation of signal strength. In order to evaluate the performance of the energy savings, we have set up the scenarios of energy usage pattern and have compared the energy variation resulting from the application of the indoor location services with smart meters. A comparison of energy usage demonstrated that the energy saving of a house with the proposed location-based green home service was down up to 30%.
3S: Scalable, Secure and Seamless Inter-Domain Mobility Management Scheme in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks

Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) has received considerable attention between telecommunications and the Internet communities and does not require active participation of the Mobile Node (MN) by way of network-based mobility management. The PMIPv6 domain is studying establishment in progress to support extensively a number of MN by using a low handover latency. In this research, we are propose a novel 3S scheme for building Scalable and Secure and Seamless PMIPv6 domains. In the proposed scheme, all of Mobility Access Gateway (MAG) are acting as the Local Mobility Anchor (LMA) and composing a virtual ring with another MAG. General hashing is used in the efficient distribution-mapping between each MN and the MN`s LMA of all MAGs. And, MAG and MN are authenticated using the symmetric key. Through mathematical analysis, we verifies the safety, scalability, and seamless service for 3S. Also, we`re propose a handover procedure of 3S and show better than the existing schemes in terms of handover latency.
Analysis for Traffic Accidents against Car-Pedestrian on Simulation

In spite of serious injuries caused by traffic accidents of car-pedestrian, the dispute is constantly occurring and economic losses and mental suffering is escalating since the cause of accidents is not scientifically identified. This study reviewed vehicle dynamics, driving dynamics, collision dynamics, traffic and road engineering for traffic accidents analysis based on traffic accidents related physically objective evidence and analysed the cause of accidents by getting results which applied vehicle initial collision velocity before collision, processing trajectory, collision stance, vehicle velocity before & after collision and parameter by using PC-Crash program. I found that skid mark and collision velocity of car-pedestrian had the error of 11.2%, 2,27% compared to theoretical values.
Approximation of Green Warranty Function by Radon Radial Basis Function Network

As the price of traditional fuels soar, the alternatives are becoming more viable. And manufacturers are promoting the growing viability of electric and biofuel-powered vehicles through longer warranties. Now, these longer green environment (emission)warranties, sometimes called extended warranties or "super warranties," have been adapted. The main result of this paper is to present a new method to approximate a bivariate warranty function by using Radial Basis Function Network with application of Radon Transform and its inverse which is used to reduce the dimension of the warranty space. This method consist of the following stages: First, by using the Radon Transform, the bivariate warranty function can be reduced to one dimensional function. Second, each of the one dimensional functions is approximated by using neural network technique into neural sub-networks. Third, these neural sub-networks are combined together to form the final approximation neural network. Four, by using the inverse of radon transform to this final approximation neural network we get the approximation to the given function. Also, we apply the above method to some green warranty data of automotive vehicle company.
HFSS Based Small Patch Antenna Design

Currently, we are living in the world of invisible radio waves with a variety of frequencies. As today`s society is rapidly changing to an era of wireless communication, the importances of antenna(especially, small patch antenna) are increasing according to the coming of wireless mobile communication society. In this paper, we design a small patch antenna which can support the functions of DMB and GPS through devices like cellular phone. The main feature and contribution of the designed patch antenna are as follows. First, the patch antenna is designed by HFSS and the ceramic materials for the patch antenna is utilized. Second, we obtain the patch antenna with reduced size and increased profit of reception, and the designed patch antenna can be applied for small devices.
Android Based Mobile Smart Alarm

Android that was made by Google and Open Handset Alliance is the open source software toolkit for mobile phone. Nowadays, Smart phone users have been rapidly increasing, by that reason a lot of application contents have been released and especially contents which focus on user convenience have been developed. In this paper, we develop a new application content smart alarm based on Google Android flatform. The features of the developed content are as follows. First, users set their day`s schedules. So they can notify easily what they have to do at the moment. Second, when users set their alarms not to forget several sequential tasks, they can set their schedules by not only alarm method but also timer method. In the performance evaluation, we show the results of simulation using AVD(Android Virture Device).
Performance Analysis of Traffic Information Service Based on VANET

We propose a traffic information service for which traffic data are collected over ad-hoc networks from neighbor vehicles, processed to minimize the data size, and eventually provided to its destination. The proposed scheme simply relies on the existing navigtion systems in vehicles and wireless communication devices for vehicle-to-vehicle communication, rather than on a separately established server. It allows collecting and analyzing traffic status of large areas without incorporating separated monitoring systems, e.g., probe cars and enables to provide accurate traffic information to drivers in timely manner. We also evaluate its performance by ns-3 simulation.

In this paper, we proposed a method of improving the location estimation error existing in RTLS (Real Time Location Service) system for the mobility individual. According as Ubiquitous comes, interest for indoor location tracking system was more increased socially. However, existing indoor location tracking system doesn`t correspond actively in frequent change of indoor environment, and there is a problem that correct location measurement of transfer object is difficult by NLOS property of indoor environment. Purpose of this paper proposes environment accommodation location tracking system that is improved location precision of transfer object and grasps location of indoor transfer object effectively that is essential element effectively to provide service to satisfy various user`s request according as Ubiquitous comes.
A Design and Implementation of Prototype of Dual Screen Platform on Android

Since only one application has monopoly on LCD device of the mobile device in Android platform, the user can not see two screens together displayed by two applications running simultaneously. In this paper, a dual-app has been defined as two mobile applications running on each device of a pair of two mobile devices and DSAP or Dual Screen Android Platform has been implemented. DSAP does remote-execution of the peer application of a dual-app on the peer mobile device when either application of the dual-app starts to run and supports communication of the pair app over the network. This paper describes details of design and implementation of DSAP and shows a sample case utilizing DSAP.

Network mobility support has been taken into consideration for users who have multiple terminals to enjoy the seamless connectivity. This paper proposes a network mobility support scheme in the LISP architecture. During the mobile router attachment, the EID-to-RLOC mapping database is refreshed in the map server. Furthermore, map update is developed to support smooth handoff for the mobile network. An analysis of performance is given by comparing the proposed scheme with NEMO.
MIPv4/MIPv6 Mobility Simulation Model of the Multihomed Node

Nowadays, the multihomed host equipped with multiple network interfaces has been interested research in next generation wireless network, because the mobile users expect that they can be able to access services not only anywhere, at any time and from any network but also simultaneously. This paper addresses the mobility simulation model of the multihomed node for supporting MIPv4 and MIPv6 function in an interworking of Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) and IEEE 802.11 WLAN. The multihomed node with two air interfaces has been developed based on WiMAX and WLAN workstation node model in simulation software. The main point of the developed model is to support both MIPv4 and MIPv6 function, and provide network selection policy for the multihomed node between WiMAX and WLAN network. Based on the received Router Advertisement along with the interface number, we can manage the access interfaces in ordered list to make handover decision while the multihomed node is moving. In the end of this paper, the simulation scenarios and results are shown for testing MIPv4 and MIPv6 function.

Vehicular communication networking is one of the most important building blocks of Intelligent Transportation System(ITS). The vehicular communication network is a wireless communication system enabling vehicles to communicate with each other as well as with roadside base stations. Especially, Wi-Fi based vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2I) communication is an emerging solution to improve the safety, traffic efficiency, and comfort of passengers. In this paper, we proposed a new communication hub platform for vehicles, and explained vehicle communication technology in short. Through car simulation results, we show thar our proposed system reduces signaling interference.

Smart Phone devices offer convenience for users, but present a new set of security issues due to loss or malicious code. In this paper, a mobile cloud system environment is used with existing smart phones in an attempt to solve the problems in a banking environment. In order to prevent financial damages due to loss or personal information leakage by malicious code, a mobile cloud computing service that provides control and protection of personal information in environment that ensures individual authentication is used. A Study on Handwritten Digit Categorization of RAM-based Neural Network

A RAM-based neural network is a weightless neural network based on binary neural network(BNN) which is efficient neural network with a one-shot learning. RAM-based neural network has multiful information bits and store counts of training in BNN. Supervised learning based on the RAM-based neural network has the excellent performance in pattern recognition but in pattern categorization with unsupervised learning as unsuitable. In this paper, we propose a unsupervised learning algorithm in the RAM-based neural network to perform pattern categorization. By the proposed unsupervised learning algorithm, RAM-based neural network create categories depending on the input pattern by itself. Therefore, RAM-based neural network for supervised learning and unsupervised learning should proof of all possible complex models. A Study about UCC Communication Structure for improving Social Trust

The purpose of this study is to find the UCC (User Created Contents) communication structure in the perspective of smart-phone technologies or SNS (Social Network Service). In developing the research model, we have focused on selecting the success factors appropriate for the UCC through reviewing past researches and on developing more accurate success measures. The model consists of relation each service (Facebook linked in Flickr and so on), relation of trust, transfer to Social Capital and so on . The result shows thar process of trust based in UCC is the most important determinants of structure and organization network. And collaboration relationship is the most important of SNS used in SSO and Open-API technologies. The practice characteristic of UCC has direct and indirect effect on SNS of improving social trust.
Implementation of Plasmonic Optical Polarizer using Rib-type Coupler

Using modal transmission-line theory (MTLT), it explores rigorously the polarization characteristics of plasmonic optical polarizer. To verify the validity of the approach proposed in this paper, a novel polarization condition, which is called mode suppression ratio, is defined. The numerical results reveal that the polarization length of plasmonic optical polarizer is
dramatically shorter than that of conventional dielectric optical polarizer. Furthermore, the insertion loss of plasmonic polarizer consisting of metal Ag is small enough to be neglected below -1dB.
