A Contactless Microwave Sensor for Detection of particular Materials

We suggested a microwave sensor structure and fabricated experimentally to detect particular particles in the air which are difficult to detect using conventional UWB sensors because their reaction frequencies to electromagnetic waves are too high. In the experiment to detect water particles in the air with up-conversion frequency of 10GHz, we verified detect signal amplitude variation of 75% depending on presence or absence of water particles. The suggested structure can be useful to detect particular materials at the high frequencies more than a few 10th GHz, because the same method can be applied to detect other materials.
The Performance Comparison of the ISCA and MSCA Algorithm for Adaptive Equalization

The performance of blind equalization algorithm ISCA was compared with MSCA that is used for the minimization of the inter symbol interference which occurs in the time dispersive communication channel for digital transmission. Because of the non-linearities of a magnitude and phase transfer characteristics of a communication channel, the transmitting signal will be received that band limited and time dispersived. Therefore the distortion was compensated by using the self adaptive equalizer at the receiving side, then passing through the detector for the decision of "1" or "0". At this time the Constellation Dependent Constant is played an important role in the adaptive equalizer used on the receiver. In order to calculation of this constant, the ISCA and MSCA was used the second order statistics. The ISCA and MSCA which are possible to compensation of mensioned transfer function simulataneously, are improved the performance of original SCA algorithm and then was compared the performance by computer simulation. For this, the recovered constellation, residual isi and MSE was used, and a result of performance comparison, the ISCA algorithm has better than the MSCA in every performance index. But on the steady state of equalizer, the variation of performance due to the CME terms in the MSCA equalization algorithm was less than the ISCA, so MSCA has better stability.
The Performance Evaluation of Parallel and Single Structure MCMA-MDD Adaptive Equalizer for 16-QAM Signal

This paper deals with the performance comparison and evaluation of blind adaptive equalizer, the PMCMA-MDD and DW-MCMA, that is used for compensation of the amplitude and phase distortion which occurs in the time dispersive channel. Basically, these algorithms are modification of MCMA cost function in order to obtain the fast convergence speed and reduced residual isi by taking the parallel and serial double structured and the combination of the concept of RCA for the updating the tap coefficient. We implements the algorithm of it and compare the recovered constellation, residual isi, MSE characteristics curve and SER in the signal to noise ratio given the time dispersive channel. As a result of simulation, the PMCMA-MDD has a good in recovered constellation than DW-MCMA. But in the SER, the DW-MCMA has a good than PMCMA-MDD.

Injured peoples usually care their body at medical institutions. But if they need some more rehabilitation to the affected area thus exist. These medical institutions according to the scale there are significant differences in rehabilitation programs, most of the small-scale rehabilitation program for medical doctors and patients to be progression of the conversation is an issue. In this paper, in a small medical facility rehabilitation to assist in the accuracy and reliability, physical contact and force sensors that can measure a combination of substitution and the tactile sensor and tactile sensor alternative with a similar function is proposed. Perceptron neural networks by applying the contact evaluation according to the algorithm to determine the pattern is applied.

In this paper, we proposed spectrum sensing using cooperative relay to solve problem of sensing performance degradation due to CPE (Customer-Premises equipments) which causes low SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) problem. In cooperative communication system, AF (amplify-and-forward) and DF (decoded-and-forward) is widely used for relay mechanism. Also, it is expected that cooperative relay scheme guarantees the high sensing performance by its diversity gain. Based on these backgrounds, in this paper, we apply to cooperative relay scheme to the CR (Cognitive Radio) system, and simulation results show comparison of the sensing performance.
LED Communication-based Multi-hop Wireless Transmission Network System

LED is just a semiconductor which can produce light. Currently, there are active research works on LED lighting technologies according to the growth of energy-saving environmental industry. Especially, LED communication is one of the active research works in these fields. In this paper, we design a LED communication-based multi-hop transmission wireless network system. The designed system consists of a transmission circuit system(transmitter) using LED and a receiving circuit system(receiver) using PD(photo detector) and OP-Amp, and relay system which can support multi-hop wireless network service with PD, OP-Amp, and LED, respectively. The experiments for the designed system are performed as follows. One computer is connected at the end of transmitter and receiver, respectively. There are two relays between transmitter and receiver, and text files are transmitted continuously by using text transmission programming. In this experiment, we test the performance with various baud rates, transmission ranges.

Recently computer technologies have been actively applied for our daily life such as image processing, wireless communications, and programmable robots, etc. In the paper, we develop a new programmable robot cushion that detects a user's posture, and gives feedback to the user by integrating and converging these technologies. Furthermore, we analyze the effects of IT convergence programmable robots for undergraduate students in the major of computer science and engineering to define and solve the problems creatively.

Nowadays, For that reason, the tactical training system that were applied to recruit training center and police training, a real-life survivor game place is a drill using conventional training methods that there is no special training system at open terrain and field, there is no training accomplishment in conformity with battlefield situation portrayal. Therefore, this paper developed the tactical training evaluation system and real-time monitoring system that is compensated the defect and controlled sensing, interlock with PC as wireless a way of GUI using PCB mounted MICOM. This system evaluate drill that regulate sensor control module, tactical training system remotely according to what they should do, is installed to fit the occasion as to be reflected or transmission choosingly and is a 24V H/W drive module.
Priority-based Group Task Scheduling Policy for a Multiplayer Real-time Game Server

Multiplayer, real-time games are a kind of soft real-time systems because a game server has to respond to requests from many clients within specified time constraints. Client events have different timeliness and consistency requirements according to their nature in the game world. These requirements lead to different priorities on CPU processing. Events can be divided into different groups, depending on their consistency degree and priority. To handle these events with different priority and meet their timing constraints, we propose a priority-based group task scheduling policy in this paper. The number of clients or events requested by each client may be increased temporarily. In the presence of transient overloading, the game server needs to allocate more CPU bandwidth to serve an event with the higher priority level preferentially. The proposed scheduling policy is capable of enhancing real-time performance of the entire system by maximizing the number of events with higher priority completed successfully within their deadlines. The performance of this policy is evaluated through extensive simulation experiments.
dMMS: A Novel Distributed Dynamic Mobility Management Scheme for Minimizing Signaling Costs in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks

Mobile IP is a simple and scalable global mobility solution. However, it may cause excessive signaling traffic and long signaling delay. So MN (Mobile Node) to the home network in order to reduce the number of location update signaling is necessary to reduce the delay. In this paper, the signaling overhead to be distributed evenly on the boundary of the regional network, each MN's dynamic mobility and traffic load is adjusted according to the PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile IPv6) networks in the proposed dynamic regional mobility management scheme (dMMS). Each user in a distributed network system that offers the least amount of signaling traffic is tailored to the optimized system configuration. Signaling cost function in order to propose a new discrete analytical model is proposed, MN's mobility and packet arrival patterns. Location update and packet delivery costs to calculate the total average, the optimized area to determine the size of the network is proposed. The results of mathematical analysis, the proposed technique dMMS in terms of reducing the cost of the entire signaling were found to be excellent performance.
CEM-PF: Cost-Effective Mobility Management Scheme Based on Pointer Forwarding in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks

We propose efficient mobility management schemes based on pointer forwarding for Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks(PMIPv6) with the objective to reduce the overall network traffic incurred by mobility management and packet delivery. The proposed schemes are per-user-based, i.e., the optimal threshold of the forwarding chain length that minimizes the overall network traffic is dynamically determined for each individual mobile user, based on the user's specific mobility and service patterns. We demonstrate that there exists an optimal threshold of the forwarding chain length, given a set of parameters characterizing the specific mobility and service patterns of a mobile user. We also demonstrate that our schemes yield significantly better performance than schemes that apply a static threshold to all mobile users. A comparative analysis shows that our pointer forwarding schemes outperform routing-based mobility management protocols for PMIPv6.
An Implementation of Story Path Recommendation System of Interactive Drama Using PCA and NMF

Interactive drama is a story which requires user's free choice and participation. In this study, we grasp user's preference by making training data that utilize characters of interactive drama. Furthermore, we describe process of implementing systems which recommend new users path of stories that correspond with their preference. We used PCA and NMF to extract characteristic of preference. The success rate of recommending was 75% with PCA, while 62.5% with NMF.

In this paper, We suggest electricity power management system which makes a good efficient and minimize wasteness of electricity power. We made electricity power management system based USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) for industries, factories, public offices and so on, with optimized system. Simply, we can measure and control electricity power as we plug it outlets. This system can monitor and control electricity power, organizing network of PLC(Power Line Communication) and TCP/IP with the sensor for electricity power. Through the acquisition data, this proposed system can manage and save the electricity power efficiently and also we can connect this system to server, anytime, anywhere with Android phone.

When broadcasters want immediately a variety of VOD files in a distributed server of them data centers and away contents provider, CPs of different platform to exchange high-quality HD, 3DTV video and other video files over the IP networks of high-performance that can be transferred quickly and must be configured quickly. This paper, by using an optional encryption method to complement a QoS and security of public network, suggests high speed and secure content transmission protocol such as VPN(Virtual Private Network) for large video files and big data. As configured high performance VPN, end to end devices use the best of available resources over public network by parallel transfer protocol and the secure content delivery network.
Applying The Concurrent Development Approach To Unified Process

Recently, the software system is getting complicating and the customers are requiring faster development. For the traditional sequential approach can't against this problem iterative approach is used instead. For the representative iterative approach, there is RUP (Rational's Unified Process). However, RUP standard practical methods are phase, iteration, and disciplines, sequentially. As a result, there's some waste of manpower when a discipline is executed in an iteration, it has to wait till the next same discipline is executed. There are linear approach, sequential approach, overlapped iteration approach, and time-boxed iteration for the efficient execution of RUP. However, they have some problems such as waste of manpower or difficulty in the project management. This paper suggests a method about how to execute the disciplines as a concurrent type. The concurrent approach prevents the waste of manpower and solves the difficulty of project management.
A Real-time Point-to-Point Shortest Path Search Algorithm Based on Traveling Time

The shortest path search algorithm of navigation is generally based on Dijkstra algorithm and considers only the distance using the weight. Dijkstra algorithm based on the distance mainly ought to perform the 'number of nodes 1' and requires a lot of memory, for it is to start from the starting node and to decide the shortest path for all the nodes. Also, it searches only the same identical path in case of any bottleneck due to an accident nearby, since it is based only on the distance, and hence does not have a system that searches the detour road. In order to solve this problem, this paper considers only the travelling time per road (travelling speed * distance), without applying speed criteria (smoothness, slow speed, stagnation and accident control) or road class (express road, national road and provincial road). This provides an advantage of searching the detour, considering the reality that there are differences in time take for the car to travel on different roads with same distance, due to any accident, stagnation, or repair construction. The suggested algorithm proves that it can help us to reach the destination within the shortest time, making a detour from any congested road (outbreak) on providing an information on traveling time continuously(real-time) even though there is an accident in a particular road.
Modified TCP with Post-Checksum Field and Limited Error Control Algorithm for Memory-limited Tiny Sensor Node

In a Ubiquitous sensor network environment, the sensor node is in general small and low price, and operating with power limited battery. The reliable TCP/IP protocol is used for transmitting sensed data from the sensor node. A new method was proposed in order to overcome the limitation of small embedded memory, but it is difficult to use for the case of frame error. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed to manage the receiving frame error or loss, and it is appropriate to the sensor network to send sensed data periodically.

This paper estimates the direction of arrival of desired a target using propagation wave in spatial. Direction of arrival estimation is to find desired target position among received signal to receiver array antennas. In this paper, we estimated direction of arrival for target, by using cost function and high resolution MUSIC algorithm, in order to direction of arrival estimation, and calculated optimum weight vector. Through simulation, in regard to the estimation of the arrival direction of a target, the performances of the existing ESPRIT algorithm and the proposed algorithm were comparatively analyzed. In the estimation time of the arrival direction of a target object, the proposed algorithm showed an improvement of approximately as compared to the existing ESPRIT algorithm.
The Stereo Camera Measurement of Point Cloud on 3D Object and the Calculation of Volume Based on Irregular Triangular Mesh

For the construction of safe and clear urban environment, it is necessary that we identify the rubbish waste volume and we know the accuracy volume. In this paper, we proposed the algorithm computes the waste volume periodically for the way of waste repository standard. After stereo camera calibration, we obtained the point cloud on the surface of the object and took this as the input of the calculation algorithm of the object volume. We proposed the volume calculation algorithms based on the non-uniform triangular meshing methods and verified the validity of the algorithm through simulation and real experiments. The proposed algorithm can be used not only as the volume calculation of the waste repository but also as the general volume calculation of a three dimensional object.

In this paper, we constructed the systematic management and standardization of computerized landfill bringing system in Ansung landfill facility. During the system design process and database construction, we considered the specific items in Ansung landfill facility. And, we systemized and conventionalized the basic core data so as to we apply to another landfill facilities. And, we tried to standardize the system using the exception logic for specific items. For this purpose, we developed the landfill bringing management system which can help to manage a landfill efficiently. Basically We made efforts to standardize it's system architecture but also we considered it's localization to adapt An-sung Landfill's special requirements. We used RFID and LPR systems to distinguish a garbage truck from the others, and could establish more reliable landfill management system with this information. We expect that we can perform the systematic and the efficient landfill Bringing using the automated process of bringing in and taking out the waste process based on the developed system by automated RFID/LPR system.
The Study on the Error Rate Analysis for the Occupied Bandwidth of Internet Real-time Traffic

This paper aims on comparative analysis of measuring efficiency of occupied bandwidth between MRTG average traffic and internet real-time traffic by measuring the type of internet application service. Through this analysis, the user can measure their internet line and occupy a certain amount of bandwidth and will have to invest on how much is compared to MRTG maximum traffic graph. The result of measurement proved 1.4 times to 20 times occupied bandwidth error rate between real-time and average traffic by the type of internet services.

Recently, the requirements of large-dynamic management systems are increasing in multi-PC convergence environment because such system are out. In this research, it has been studied that the regression algorithm was applied instantly for abnormal state and the priority threshold process module was implemented. The system was optimized and become efficiently through the software design and implementation for multi-PC management. As a result, it has been possible for least person and system to manage a lot of requirements.
Coated Tongue Region Extraction using the Fluorescence Response of the Tongue Coating by Ultraviolet Light Source

An effective extraction method for extracting a coated tongue is proposed in this paper, which is used as the diagnostic criteria in the tongue diagnosis. Proposed method uses the fluorescence response characteristics of the coated tongue that is occurred by using the ultraviolet light. Specially, this method can solved the previous problems including the issue in the limits of the diagnosis environment and in the objectivity of the diagnosis results. In our method, original tongue image is acquired by using the ultraviolet light, and binarization is performed by thresholding a valley-points in the histogram that corresponds to the color difference of tongue body and tongue coating. Final view image is presented to the oriental doctor, after applying the canny-edge algorithm to the binary image, and edge image is added to the original image. In order to evaluate the performance of the our proposed method, after building a various tongue image, we compared the true region of coated tongue by the oriental doctor's hand with the extracted region by the our method. As a result, the proposed method showed the average 87.87% extraction ratio. The shape of the extracted coated tongue region showed also significantly higher similarity.
A Reactive Power Compensation Monitoring System for Factory Electrical Installation Using Active Database

The main purpose of reactive power compensation monitoring system is to manage factory electrical installation efficiently by On-Off switching reactive power compensation equipment. The existing reactive power compensation monitoring system is only able to be managed by operator whenever electrical installation needed reactive power. Therefore, it may be possible for propagating the installation's faults when operator make the unexpected mistakes. To overcome the unexpected mistakes, in this paper, the author presents a reactive power compensation monitoring system for factory electrical installation using active database. by using active database production rule, stated system can minimize unexpected mistake and can operate centralized monitoring system efficiently. Test results on the five factory electrical installations show that performance is efficient and robust.

Detection of Complex Event Patterns over Interval-based Events

The point-based complex event processing handled an instantaneous event by using one time stamp in each event. However, the activity period of the event plays the important role in the field which is the same as the finance, multimedia, medicine, and meteorology. The point-based event is insufficient for expressing the complex temporal relationship in this field. In the application field of the real-time world, the event has the period. The events more than two kinds can be temporally overlapped. In addition, one event can include the other event. The relation about the events of kind of these can not be successive like the point-based event. This thesis designs and implements the method detecting the patterns of the complex event by using the interval-based events. The interval-based events can express the overlapping relation between events. Furthermore, it can include the others. By using the end point of beginning and end point of the termination, the operator of interval-based events shows the interval-based events. It expresses the sequence of the interval-based events and can detect the complex event patterns. This thesis proposes the algorithm using the active instance stack in order to raise efficiency of detection of the complex event patterns. When comprising the event sequence, this thesis applies the window push down technique in order to reduce the number of intermediate results. It raises the utility factor of the running time and memory.
Cost-Effective and Distributed Mobility Management Scheme in Sensor-Based PMIPv6 Networks with SPIG Support

The development of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is progressed slowly due to limited resources, but it is in progress to the development of the latest IP-based IP-WSN by the development of hardware and power management technology. IPv6 over Low power WPAN (6LoWPAN) is capable of IPv6-built low-power devices. In these IP-based WSNs, existing IP-based techniques which was impossible in WSNs becomes possible. 6LoWPAN is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 sensor networks and is a IPv6-supported technology. Host-based mobility management scheme in IP-WSNs are not suitable due to the additional signaling, network-based mobility management scheme is more suitable. In this paper, we propose an enhanced PMIPv6-based route optimization scheme which consider multi-6LoWPAN network environments. All SLMA (Sensor Local Mobility Anchor) of the 6LoWPAN domain are connected with the SPIG (Sensor Proxy Internetworking Gateway) and performs distributed mobility control for the 6LoWPAN-based inter-domain operations. All information of SLMA in 6LoWPAN domain is maintained by SMAG (Sensor Mobile Access Gateway), and then is performed the route optimization quickly. The status information of the route optimization from SPIG is stored to SLMA and it is supported without additional signaling.
