An Enhanced Scheme with CFO and SFO in OFDMA system

Recently, orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM), with clusters of subcarriers allocated to different subscribers(often referred to as OFDMA), has gained much attention for its ability in enabling multiple-access wireless multimedia communications. In such systems, carrier frequency offsets (CFOs) can destroy the orthogonality among subcarriers. And the mismatch in sampling frequencies between transmitter and receiver can lead to serious degradation due to the loss of orthogonality between the subcarriers. As a result, multiuser interference (MUI) along with significant performance degradation can be induced. In this paper, we present a scheme to compensate for the SFOs and CFOs at the base station of an OFDMA system. A novel sampling frequency offset estimation algorithm is proposed, which is based on the repetition of a symbol at the communication start-up. Then, circular convolutions are employed to generate the interference after the discrete Fourier transform processing, which is then removed from the original received signal to increase the signal to interference power ratio(SIR). Simulation result shows that the proposed scheme can improve system performance.
Design of Waveguide Low Pass Filter using Rectangular Rings and Ridges

In this paper, a novel waveguide low pass filter for satellite communication is proposed. The proposed low pass filter is designed to obtain wideband characteristics without the interference of higher order modes, sufficient attenuation in the stop-band and small sized lightweight characteristics by evanescent-mode ridge structure. To improve return loss and rejection loss, rectangular ring is inserting around the ridges in the waveguide. Input and output ports of the low pass filter is designed by using the impedance step structure for the impedance matching of the filter. The proposed waveguide low pass filter is fabricated and then measured as return loss over 19.5 dB, insertion loss less than 1.41 dB at the pass-band of 7.25 ~ 8.4 GHz and rejection loss over 67.2 dB at the stop-band of 12.25 ~ 14.5 GHz.
Reliability Improvement of the Tag Bits of the Cache Memory against the Soft Errors

Due to the development of manufacturing technology scaling, more transistors can be placed on a cache memories of a processor. However, processors become more vulnerable to the soft errors because of highly integrated transistors, the reliability of cache memory must consider seriously at the design level. Various researches are proposed to overcome the vulnerability of soft error, but researches of tag bit are proposed very rarely. In this paper, we revaluate the reliability improvement technique for tag bit, and analyse the protection rate of write-back operation, which is a typical case of not satisfying temporal locality. We also propose the methodology to improve the protection rate of write-back operation. The experiments of the proposed scheme shows up to 76.8% protection rate without performance degradations.
Implementation of Indoor Navigation System using VLC based-Smart Devices

Recently, Light Emitting Diode(LED) light is changing the light equipment, which was considered just as a power-controlled device in home-network, into a IT convergence device by combining illumination function with wireless communication. As a result, Visible Light Communication(VLC) becomes a more practical solution to ubiquitous networks due to the more spread of LED light. One of representative applications using VLC is a VLC-based indoor navigation system which can provide high-accuracy indoor localization. In this paper, we model and implement a VLC based-indoor navigation system in which a fluorescent light type of LED lamp, which is normally used in large buildings, and smart devices, which are usually used by users, are utilized as main components for indoor navigation. Subsequently, it is expected that the paper can contribute to make VLC applications be more active.
Optimum Design of the Microphone Sensor Array for 3D TDOA Positioning System

A study on the indoor positioning system has been active recently for the location based service indoors. In the 3 dimensional positioning system based on the acoustic signal and TDOA technology, the error characteristics of the estimated source position would be changed depending on the number of microphones and the pattern of the microphone array. In this paper, the estimated position error according to the measured distance error between the microphones and the signal source is analyzed, and the optimum microphone array is decided considering the estimated position error patterns and the total amount of the estimated position error.

This paper proposes a optimal process after analyzing the existing papers of software requirements engineering process. In analyzing it examines requirement pursuit management and origin, and considers a variety of starting points that draw requirement documents. Also, this paper considers carefully the multiple methods of stakeholder needs, problem analysis, processing priority of business modeling. From the analyzed result this paper proposes the best method that draws systematically the requirement documents. The proposed method can minimize the requirement changes, draw the higher project success ratio, and satisfy the customer.
Fast Determination of Minimum Spanning Tree Based on Down-sizing Technique of Edges Population

This paper suggests a method of lessening number of a graph's edges population in order to rapidly obtain the minimum spanning tree. The present minimum spanning tree algorithm works on all the edges of the graph. However, the suggested algorithm reduces the edges population size by means of applying a method of deleting maximum weight edges in advance from vertices with more than 2 valencies. Next, it applies a stopping criterion which ideally terminates Borůvka, Prim, Kruskal and Reverse-Delete algorithms for reduced edges population. On applying the suggested algorithm to 9 graphs, it was able to minimize averagely 83% of the edges that do not become MST. In addition, comparing to the original graph, edges are turned out to be lessened 38% by Borůvka, 37% by Prim, 39% by Kruskal and 73% by Reverse-Delete algorithm, and thereby the minimum spanning tree is obtained promptly.

A SaaS cloud service represents a model deployed and running on a cloud platform to enable users to use software as an online service. This work proposes a development methodology adequate for the effective development of SaaS cloud services. For doing this, we first analyzed the current state of companies developing SaaS cloud services and identified key factors for the development of SaaS cloud services. Then, we selected and tailored the methodology that is best suited for the development of SaaS cloud services among existing software development methodologies. To validate the applicability of the proposed methodology, we performed a case study tailoring the development methodology adequate for the company developing SaaS cloud services.
An Integrated Prefetching/Caching Scheme for P2P Live Streaming

In this paper, we propose a buffering scheme to improve the performance in P2P live streaming systems by adjusting the ratio of caching and prefetching portion of each peer. To this end, we assign all the peers into many groups depending on their playback periods. We then determine the ratio of caching and prefetching portion in each peer depending on its playback time position relative to those of other peers within the same group. In other words, as the playback position of a peer gets later, we increase the ratio of its caching portion. On the contrary, as the playback position of a peer gets eariler, we increase the ratio of its prefetching portion. This can significantly increase the degree of data duplication among peers that belong to each specific group. By simulation experiments, we show that our proposed an integrated prefetching/caching scheme can improve the performance considerably in terms of jitter ratio, initial playback delay and shared buffermap ratio when compared to the existing fixed portion buffering scheme.
A Study on the Performance Improvement of Over-sampled Discrete Wavelet Transform

Over-sampled discrete wavelet transformation is one way to overcome the disadvantages of the standard wavelet transform of shift invariance even though it increases the number of subband signals. Non-separable based discrete wavelet transform is efficient that it satisfies shift invariance and directional selectivity. In this paper, since efficient over-sampled wavelet transform is possible in a two-dimensional image processing, we show that the proposed method is well applied with performance improvement of digital image and noise removal.
Performance Evaluation of VSDA Blind Equalization Algorithm for 16-QAM Signal

This paper relates with the VSDA (Variable stepsize Square contour Decision directed Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm that is used for the minimization of the intersymbol interference due to the distortion which occurs in the time dispersive channel for the transmission of 16-QAM signal.. In the conventional SCA, it is possible to compensates the amplitude and phase in the received signal that are mixed with the intersymbol interference by the constellatin dependent constant by using the 2nd order statistics of the transmitted signal. But in the VSDA, it is possible to the increasing the equalization performance by adding the concept of distance adjusted approach for constellation matching and the cost function of decision directed. We compare the performance of VSDA and SCA algorithm by the computer simulation. For this, the equalizer output signal constellation, residual isi, maximum distortion and MSE were used in the performace index. As a result of computer simulation, the VSDA algorithm has better than the SCA in convergence speed, but it gives nearly same equalization performance in other index.
FC-MMA Adaptive Equalization Algorithm to improve the Convergence Speed of MMA in 16-QAM System

This paper deals with the FC-MMA (Fast Convergence-Multi Modulus Algorithm) which is improving the convergence characteristics of the MMA (Multiple Modulus Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm that is used for the minimization of the intersymbol interference which occurs in the time dispersive communication channel. In the time varying charateristics and the abnormal situation like as outage of the communication channel, the adaptive equalizer needs to adapting the new environment more rapidly. For this problem, the residual isi and the maximum distortion performance index which are meaning the convergence characteristics are widely adapted in the adaptive equalizer. The 16-QAM signal is transmitted and it was confirmed that the proposed algorithm, the FC-MMA has the fast convergence performance such as in the 1.75 times fast in residual isi and 2.5 times fast in the maximum distortion in order to reaching the steady state compare to the MMA algorithm in the same channel environment by the computer simulation.
Distributed Recommendation System Using Clustering-based Collaborative Filtering Algorithm

This paper presents an efficient distributed recommendation system using clustering collaborative filtering algorithm in distributed computing environments. The system was built based on Hadoop distributed computing platform, where distributed Min-hash clustering algorithm is combined with user based collaborative filtering algorithm to optimize recommendation performance. Experiments using Movie Lens benchmark data show that the proposed system can reduce the execution time for recommendation compare to sequential system.

In this paper, design and fabrication of the GPS receiving antenna using Hilbert curve fractal structure was proposed. The size of the antenna was miniaturized by transforming dipole structure into monopole structure because its size increases if Hilbert curve fractal dipole structure is used. Although illegal reproduction of cartoon books are prevalent with rapid growth of webhard services and smartphone use, fingerprinting technology for product identification, as seen in music and videos, has not been developed yet. This leads to indiscriminate illegal reproduction of cartoon books, causing great amount of copyright damages from copyright infringement of the rightful owners. The copyright R&D project granted from the Korea Copyright Permission (Project Title: Identification and Copy Protection Technology of Bookscaned Text/Comic Books) has been carried out in order to develop technology to effectively identify illegal reproduction and distribution of scanned cartoon books. The developed technology will contribute to increase of royalty payments and robust ecosystem of cartoon book markets. The study is to propose an enhanced implementation model for identification of scanned cartoon books on the basis of hierarchical symmetric difference feature algorithms adopted from existing feature extraction algorithms for video.

This paper proposes a new personalized mobile advertising service using a smartphone connected with a digital signage which is increasingly common for out-of-home advertising. The advertising contents can be transferred with their metadata to a digital signage. Then, the signage delivers only metadata to smartphones in close proximity of it. Based on the user's preference, an application on a smartphone stores advertising metadata and publishes a personalized advertising e-catalog automatically. A smartphone user can browse, edit and share it with friends. In the view of extension of the reach of the advertising contents of various N-Screen devices including a digital signage and a smart TV to a smartphone and supplying personalized advertising data, this advertising model will be very beneficial and commercialized in the near future.
Analysis on Security Vulnerabilities of a Biometric-based User Authentication Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks

The numerous improved schemes of remote user authentication based on password have been proposed in order to overcome the security weakness in user authentication process. Recently, some of biometric-based user authentication schemes to use personal biometric information have been introduced and they have shown the relatively higher security and the enhanced convenience as compared to traditional password-based schemes. These days wireless sensor network is a fundamental technology in face of the ubiquitous era. The wireless sensor networks to collect and process the data from sensor nodes in increasing high-tech applications require important security issues to prevent the data access from the unauthorized person. Accordingly, the research to apply to the user authentication to the wireless sensor networks has been under the progress. In 2010, Yuan et al. proposed a biometric-based user authentication scheme to be applicable for wireless sensor networks. Yuan et al. claimed that their scheme is effectively secure against the various security flaws including the stolen verifier attack. In this paper, author will prove that Yuan et al.'s scheme is still vulnerable to the password guessing attack, user impersonation attack and the replay attack, by analyzing their security weakness.
Implementation and Design of Control Circuit for Touch Screen with Faster Response Time

In this paper, we describe algorithm and digital circuit implementation of touch screen controller that has the faster response time. We enhance the response time by adaptive search method instead of linear search method of step level in the pulse width decision. The faster response time might bring effects of feeling better in the touch keyboard. The performance of the proposed algorithm and function is verified by using logic simulation and FPGA test board. It is expected to use in the mobile touch screen.

This paper presents the results of permittivities of various materials by measurements of the dielectric properties for the materials in millimeter-wave band. Since the advantages of millimeter wave band include the miniaturization, weight reduction of component and a lot of information transfer, its study has received increasing attention of researches. Also, because of the characteristics of the band have the superior straightness and the small diffractive, in the band, the analysis for the reflection and transmission characteristics of the materials will be very important. Moreover, a low interference is one of characteristics of the band due to the fact that the millimeter wave is absorbed in the materials. Therefore, in this paper, the reflection and transmission characteristics of materials are measured in the band by using the free space method. Based on the presented result, the permittivities of the materials are derived by the calculation of Nicolson-Ross Weir method.
Implementation of Video Surveillance System with Motion Detection based on Network Camera Facilities

It is essential to support the image and video analysis technology such as motion detection since the DVR and NVR storage were adopted in the real time visual surveillance system. Especially the network camera would be popular as a video input device. The traditional CCTV that supports analog video data get be replaced by the network camera. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of video surveillance system that provides the real time motion detection by the video storage server. The mobile application also has been implemented in order to provides the retrieval functionality of image analysis results. We develop the video analysis server with open source library OpenCV and implement the daemon process for video input processing and real-time image analysis in our video surveillance system.
Performance Analysis of the Amplify-and-Forward Scheme under Interference Constraint and Physical Layer Security

The underlay protocol is a cognitive radio method in which secondary or cognitive users use the same frequency without affecting the quality of service (QoS) for the primary users. In addition, because of the broadcast characteristics of the wireless environment, some nodes, which are called eavesdropper nodes, want to illegally receive information that is intended for other communication links. Hence, Physical Layer Security is applied considering the achievable secrecy rate (ASR) to prevent this from happening. In this paper, a performance analysis of the amplify-and-forward scheme under an interference constraint and Physical Layer Security is investigated in the cooperative communication mode. In this model, the relays use an amplify-and- forward method to help transmit signals from a source to a destination. The best relay is chosen using an opportunistic relay selection method, which is based on the end-to-end ASR. The system performance is evaluated in terms of the outage probability of the ASR. The lower and upper bounds of this probability, based on the global statistical channel state information (CSI), are derived in closed form. Our simulation results show that the system performance improves when the distances from the relays to the eavesdropper are larger than the distances from the relays to the destination, and the cognitive network is far enough from the primary user.

In this paper, an AccessPoint compact microstrip patch antenna was designed by using L-shaped feeding structure of a Fractal Structure and the compact antenna can be obtained by the rare formed presence of the resonance flow which is called "Crossed-Diagonal". CST's MicroWave5.0 was used for the design. Today, Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack present a very serious threat to the stability of the internet. The DDoS attack, which is consuming all of the computing or communication resources necessary for the service, is known very difficult to protect. The DDoS attack usually transmits heavy traffic data to networks or servers and they cannot handle the normal service requests because of running out of resources. It is very hard to prevent the DDoS attack. Therefore, an intrusion detection system on large network is need to efficient real-time detection. In this paper, we propose the detection mechanism using analysis of flow information against DDoS attacks in order to guarantee the transmission of normal traffic and prevent the flood of abnormal traffic. The OPNET simulation results show that our ideas can provide enough services in DDoS attack.
Emotional Intelligence of Youth Impacted by the Used Time of Smart Devices and Sports Activities

The smart revolution led by Smart Phone in our daily lives is changing the paradigm in general. These smart revolution has provided us a lot of convenience, but on the other hand also appearing an inverse function. The host of the future of young people, especially by the excessive use of smart devices, there is a risk of side effects increased. In this study, the empirical analysis has been done to know how the used time of smart devices and youth sports activities affect to the emotional intelligence. Using regression analysis, the used time of smart devices showed negative relationship and the time of youth sports activities affected positively with the emotional intelligence. Additional analysis of the amount of reading also affected positively to the motional intelligence as a conclusion. Through this study, as a conclusion, traditional activities, namely sports activities and reading to help the youth developing emotional intelligence, while the use of smart devices inhibits the development of emotional intelligence of youth.
Design and Performance Analysis of Bandwidth-Efficient Handoff Scheme in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks

In this paper, we propose a novel Proxy Mobile IPv6 network bandwidth-efficient handoff scheme. MN are classified into slow and fast one. At first MN should be registered in the microcell for bandwidth efficient handoff scheme. microcell is overlapped to handle the overflow session request which is nested. Overflow session request in macrocell requests to go back from the boundary of the microcell to new microcell. If idle session traffic is in a cell, it is requested by the target microcell. Analysis model was developed, an existing session of the session blocking probability and forcing termination probability of the session request have improved considerably. If the total traffic load of the system is not very large, the proposed scheme has the best bandwidth efficiency and provides better quality of service (QoS) to MN without costs of a lot of processing on the system.

In this paper, we have proposed a system for creating business rules efficient in the market the SI industry. It has implemented a system that will have to be able to than to create a rule using the PPT and word simply, to proceed more smoothly communication of civil service staff and between developers. The system used in this paper, it was an object of the invention is to present a template, so as to create a document to match this template. The presented combined input tools to present a template for creating a document themes business rules to allow explicitly enter text in response to the template user.

Mix network plays a key role in electronic voting to preserve anonymity and lots of mixnet schemes have been proposed so far. However, they requires complex and costly zero-knowledge proofs to provide their correct mixing operations. In 2010, Seb
et al. proposed an efficient and lightweight mixnet scheme based on a cryptographic secure hash function instead of zero-knowledge proofs. In this paper, we present a more efficient and faster mixnet scheme than Seb
et al.'s scheme under the same assumption. Also, our scheme is secure.

In smartphone sensing which monitors various social phenomena of the individuals by using embedded sensors, managing metadata is one of the important issue to process large-scale data, improve the data quality, and share collected data. In this paper, we proposed a document clustering scheme for the large-scale metadata management architecture which is designed as a hybrid back-end consisting of a cluster head and member nodes to reduce the server-side overhead. we also verified that the proposed scheme is more efficient than the distance based clustering scheme in terms of the server-side overhead through simulation results.
Analysis of Packet Transmission Delay in the DC Power-Line Fault Management System using IEEE 802.15.4

IEEE 802.15.4 has been emerging as the popular choice for various monitoring and control applications. In this paper, a fault management system for DC power-lines has been designed using IEEE 802.15.4, in order to monitor DC power-lines in real time, and to rapidly detect faults and shut off the line where such faults occur. Numbers were allocated for each node and unslotted CSMA-CA method of IEEE 802.15.4 was used, the performance of which was analyzed by a simulation. For such purpose, a total of 60 bits of the control data consisting of 16 bits of the current, 16 bits of the amplitude, 28 bits of the terminal state data were sent out, and the packet transfer rate and the transmission delay time of the fault management system for DC power-lines were measured and analyzed. When the traffic load was 330 packets per second or lower, the average delay time was shown to be shorter than 0.02 seconds, and when the traffic load was 260 packets per second or lower, the packet transfer rate was shown to be 99.99% or higher. Therefore, it was confirmed that the stringent condition of US Department of Energy (DOE) could be satisfied if the traffic load was 260 packets per second or lower, The results of this study can be utilized as basic data for the establishment of the fault management system for DC power-lines using IEEE 802.15.4.
A Research on Context-aware Digital Signage using a Kinect

In this paper, context-aware technologies using a Kinect sensor for a digital signage which is increasingly growing as the 4th screen media is presented. Generalized context-aware functions for a digital signage were studied and a context-aware digital signage platform was developed. It can support a natural user interface for controlling a digital signage and actively provide contents adapted to its context. As a basic context, user's gesture and voice, the number of users, sound direction were considered. In the future, the advanced functions such as age, gender will be studied. The implemented platform could be a good reference model when developing a general context-aware digital signage.

Due to a modern medical technology developement and the stability of social welfare policy, the current population of old person in Korea reaches to 550 million with the increasing elderly population rate(11.8%). But the living standard of elderly people does not meet to their needs of convenience on the proportion of the percentage of elderly people. Accordingly, this study mainly focuses on the research to find various advanced IT technologies to make elderly people more convient to use. Advanced IT industry makes it possible the convinence of elderly people using NFC, Wi-Fi, cardiac measurement technology.
