A Study On Security Threat Analysis and Government Solution for Civil Service Online

As the number of public institution web sites and civil services based on electronic government has increased from the past until now, there is an increasing demand for security of the overall electronic civil services such as possibility for forgery and falsification of electronic documents. Existing studies proposed security threats and response methods on an electronic government service (G4C) from the perspective of service provider. In this study, the scope of analysis was expanded to analyze security technology used for each service type on 289 web sites providing civil services and to present response methods on security threats. The aim of this paper is to discuss practical responses to civil services and core problems of civil services in electronic government that need to be resolved.
A Study on Management System Development for Web-based Academical Achievement

In this study we explain the necessity of a developing management system of academical achievement in a progrm running the accredited engineering program as an observation and management tool to assure students' succesive achievement of program outcomes, and also present an operation result of the constructed management system. Taking the electronic engineering program in our school as an object, we constructed a relating database to monitor the students' course work completions and achievement of program outcomes, to allow students to build their plans for course work and to enable professors to proceed customized counseling for assigned students. The constructed system also provide various statistics relating program outcomes to allow program professors to proceed effective management of outcomes in the program level. In this paper we show that it is possible to calculate and provide the various statistical indicators, which is needed to effectively run accredited engineering programs, by presenting the results relating successful construction of the system and its operation.

The advent of smart phones brought adverse effect between devices recently. For example, adverse effects of info-communication with advent of computer. Also, hacking threat aiming cyber space that is getting more advanced is spreading in terms of range and danger, so that it reaches the level that the nation has to concern. In this circumstance, crimes involving info-technology is now problem in society. As internet technology advances, it enlarges the range of hacker's threat to not only smart phones, but ships, aircrafts, buildings, and cars. It could be seen as social threat of between human and human, between machine and machine, and between human and machine. This study discuss these problems.

As UCI (Universal Content Identifier) identification system becomes a national standard for content distribution, many digital contents are distributed through UCI identification system. However, problems associated with copyright infringement and copyright contracts occur due to lack of copyright information. ICN (Integrated Copyright Number), a code system developed for copyright management, includes copyright-related information for the purposes of usage settlement and accounting, illegal usage monitoring, and content filtering. ICN, however, has no information about distribution and content properties. Therefore, the linkage and integration between UCI and ICN can be a basis for the transparent and effective distribution of digital contents. In this paper, we propose a model for linking and integrating UCI and ICN, developing the efficiency in the value chain of each identified system by analyzing political factors and key technical elements between the two identification systems.
A Broadcast Data Allocation Scheme for Multiple-Data Queries Using Moving Average of Data Access Probability

A data allocation technique is essential to improve the performance of data broadcast systems. This paper explores the issues for allocating data items on broadcast channels in the environment where multiple-data queries are submitted, and proposes a new data allocation scheme named DAMA. The proposed scheme employs the strategy that the broadcast frequency of each data is determined by the moving average of its access probability. DAMA could enhance the performance of query response time since it is capable of controlling the influence of access probability properly according to the query size. Simulation is performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme. The simulation results show that the performance of DAMA is superior to other schemes in terms of the average response time.
A Study on Consumers' Perception and Attitudes for Market Promotion of Mobile IPTV

This study investigated users' usage of mobile video service, users' perception and usage of mobile IPTV. The results show that 82.8% is using mobile video services and 33.6% of the entire respondents has the intention to use mobile IPTV with regards to future usage. They answered that 'various real-time broadcasting' and'mobile IPTV charges' were the major areas of considerations for mobile IPTV users. And we analyzed the most watching contents on mobile IPTV and the willingness to pay for one month. In addition, the main reasons for not using mobile IPTV were the charges for mobile IPTV. Based on these results, action plans for the promotion of mobile IPTV are proposed.
Design and Implementation of a Polar Transmitter

Multi-band and multi-mode transmitters are needed for SDR and CR. Recently many types of polar transmitters have been studied in order to implement a multi-band and multi-mode transmitter. Polar transmitters have many advantages, such as a simple structure, high efficiency and etc. In this paper we consider the number of D/A bit and the effects of a delay mismatch as design parameters for implementing polar transmitters. From the simulation we know that a 10 bit D/A is sufficient and a delay mismatch must be maintained small than 1/64 chip for satisfying the spectrum mask characteristics. We implement a polar transmitter based on the design parameters and the measured output signal meet the spectrum mask of 800MHz CDMA.
Performance Analysis of Fading Avoidance Scheme using Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Technique

In this paper, we propose a method using cooperative spectrum sensing to avoid multipath and frequency selective fading. One of methods in conventional scheme was multi input multi output (MIMO) solution. However, in the wireless environment, mobile device hardly supports multi antenna because of limitation of hardware. Motivated from above problems, the proposed method provides the information of excellent channel to transmitter. As a result, quality of service (QoS) required by users can be satisfied. Finally, performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed in term of bit error rate (BER).
Performance Analysis of Relay applied to Energy Harvesting

In this paper, an energy harvesting scheme is applied in the cooperative communication. The proposed scheme uses an energy harvesting relay in which the relay harvests the energy from the source node and transfers to the power form in forwarding the received data to the destination node. The well-known maximal ratio combining (MRC) technique is applied to increase the diversity gain at the destination. Therefore, with applying the proposed energy harvesting scheme, the limited power at the relay is solved, and the operation efficiency of the network and the mobile devices is improved. Finally, performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed in terms of bit error rate, outage probability, power collection efficiency.

In this paper, we proposed the mechanism which can measure traffic flow and vehicle speed on the highway as well as road by using the video and image processing to detect and track cars in a video sequence. The proposed mechanism uses the first few frames of the video stream to estimate the background image. The visual tracking system is a simple algorithm based on the sum of absolute frame difference. It subtracts the background from each video frame to produce foreground images. By thresholding and performing morphological closing on each foreground image, the proposed mechanism produces binary feature images, which are shown in the threshold window. By measuring the distance between the "first white line" mark and the "second white line"mark proceeding, it is possible to find the car's position. Average velocity is defined as the change in position of an object divided by the time over which the change takes place. The results of proposed mechanism agree well with the measured data, and view the results in real time.

A smart phone subscriber needs wide bandwidth services for more fast data communication on the internet. The conventional MIMO system is now developing to resolve these problems with limited device space for antenna and frequency band environment reserved. One of way to make it practically is to add the number of antennas theoretically. But it is difficult to increase the antenna element as a limited space on the system. Therefore an active beam forming scheme is known as a way of constructing a Compact MIMO system for that. In this paper, the fast switching control block was suggested to adjust a reactance of the antenna element and verified experimentally the effects by switching signal on an orthogonal beam forming through a spatial domain.

High Speed PLC-based Automatic Control System for a Smart LED Streetlight

In this paper, we propose the high speed PLC-based automatic control system for a smart LED streetlight. The proposed the automatic control system were constructed of a power line modem part and monitoring part, streetlight controller part for the high speed communication frequency band and streetlight ballasts characterization and real-time remote control using a high-speed PLC network, and it was designed to meet to lighting grades conditions of KS road lighting standards. The proposed automatic control system were easy monitoring of the power consumption using PC through to the comparison result of the existing streetlight system. As a result, it was confirmed to the possibility of efficient operation for the real-time monitoring and maintenance by induction of reasonable power consumption through to the LED streetlight state checking and remote-control. In addition, we proved to improvement of expected effects for the power cost savings, the energy efficiency, and streetlight differentiation and advanced.
Performance Improvement of MMA Adaptive Equalization Algorithm by using the Constellation Reduction in QAM Signal

This paper related with the CR-MMA which is possible to improving the equalization performance by applying the concept of constellation reduction in the MMA adaptive equalization alogorithm in order to reduce the intersymbol interference that is occurred in the nonlinear communication channel. In the updating process of MMA adaptive equalizer, the error signal is being obtained by using the equalizer output, and the performance will be degraded by the increase the error signal in the high order QAM constellation. But by using the constellation reduction, the high order QAM signal will be changed to the 4-QAM signal constellation and then the error signal will be obtained. By doing so, the error signal will be minimized and it is possible to improve the equalization performance in the high order QAM transmitted signal. The Computer simulation was performed in order to compare the performance of the proposed CR-MMA algorithm and original MMA algorithm in the same communication channel and noise environment. For this, the recoverd signal constellation which is the output of equalizer, residual isi and MD (Maximum Distortion) learning curve which is represents the convergence performance and SER which is represents the roburstness of noise were used. As a result of simulation, the CR-MMA has more superior to the MMA. And it was confirmed that the CR-MMA has roburstness to the noise in the SER performance.
Effect of Interference from DC Power Supply on Power Line Communication Channel

Power line communications can be utilized to build up the data transmission network wherever the electricity is available. This type of communication system could provide a basis for the network construction in many application areas which include the smart grid and home networks. On the other hand the power line communication is vulnerable to various types of interferences and noises. Also, its channel characteristics are constantly changing depending on the type and the amount of electrical loads connected to the network. Especially, the usage of DC power supply has been increased due to the explosive expansion of smart devices in our daily lives which result in the increased level of interferences on the power line channel. In this paper, the effect of the operation of the DC power supplies on the channel characteristics and the data transmission performance is analyzed through the experiments.
Effect of Bandwidth of Moving Average Filter on Symbol Timing Detection Performance

In the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system, the prefix inserted between data symbols should be eliminated to apply the Fourier transform on the valid symbol interval. This functional procedure should be based on the accurate symbol timing detection. The symbol timing detection at the receiver side provides the reference for determining the beginning time index of each symbol whose initial point is located at the boundary between the preamble and the payload part. Also, the detection error is one of the main factors in the overall system performance. In this paper the effect of the bandwidth of the moving average filter on the symbol timing detection is discussed. Simulations are carried out to analyze the detection performance for the varying values of the window size of the moving average filter which is related to the filter bandwidth.

This paper suggests that it provides a electricity management system for wasting electricity, from power demand growth environments. This Energy management system based on ICT(Information & Communication Technology) can control Smart Power Outlet connecting to this system with Web Browser and Android phone, anytime, anywhere. Through analysis of acquisition data from them, this proposed system can monitor and control power consumption efficiently. This system was organized mesh network of Smart Power Outlet, gateway by wireless Zigbee, and ESS(Energy Saving System) by TCP/IP beyond existing limit of communication distance and space.

Decomposition based on Object of Convex Shapes Using Poisson Equation

This paper proposes a novel procedure that uses a combination of overlapped basic convex shapes to decompose 2D silhouette image. A basic convex shape is used here as a structuring element to give a meaningful interpretation to 2D images. Poisson equation is utilized to obtain the basic shapes for either the whole image or a partial region or segment of an image. The reconstruction procedure is used to combine the basic convex shapes to generate the original shape. The decomposition process involves a merging stage, filtering stage and finalized by compromising stage. The merging procedure is based on solving Poisson's equation for two regions satisfying the same symmetrical conditions which leads to finding equivalencies between basic shapes that need to be merged. We implemented and tested our novel algorithm using 2D silhouette images. The test results showed that the proposed algorithm lead to an efficient shape decomposition procedure that transforms any shape into a simpler basic convex shapes.
A Software Framework Design for Providing Presence Information of SMS Users to RCS-e App

If RCS-e subscribers and SMS subscribers want to exchange instant messages between each other, RCS-e app should know the presence information of the SMS subscribers. However, a RCS-e specification does not have the way to identify the information. This paper propose a software framework that makes RCS-e app can identify the information without having to modify RCS-e app. It describes the call flows between network equipments to manage the information. Also, it defines RCS-e service tags and service tuple for SMS subscribers. Performance evaluation proves that the proposed framework does not add loads to the existing network.
Distributed Power Saving Control System Using Mobile Agent Based Active Rules

In this paper, we propose the Distributed Power Saving Control System that enables the active and intelligent control(on/off and/or dimming control) of the lightning device using sensors and mobile agents. The proposed system is effective for energy saving and induces cost reductions in design and development of power saving control system as adding remote-monitoring or controlling functions is easier with the application of a variety of active rules. Moreover, the system improves the effectiveness of the acquired sensing data by real-time event handling and device controlling using a mobile agent based sensor network middleware that regularize the contextual information or a user's emotion. The results of this paper present the potential applicability of the proposed distributed control system using mobile agent in various active sensor network applications.
Development of a Horse Robot for Indoor Leisure Sports

Recently, indoor sports simulator equipped with virtual reality devices, like screen golf system, are riding high. There have been many attempts to develop the indoor simulator systems which can make people enjoy exercises in various sports area. A real horseback riding could not have been popularized, because of the cost involved, difficulty to learn and its dangerousness. In this research, a robotic horseback riding platform based on parallel mechanism and virtual reality device is proposed. The proposed platform provides realistic riding feels and various levels of riding difficulty. The equipped motion capture system with a vision sensor enables riders to correct their riding posture based on expert's one. The developed horseback riding platform make it possible to enjoy a horseback riding in all weather, and also can be used for systematic horseback riding training.

Recently interest in energy is becoming increasingly amplified in the world. Green energy is the buzzword of the world's business community as well as governments also leave a green energy seonbongjang of economic recovery. According to the International Institute for Energy, it will be expected to invest in the field of green energy about 7 trillion dollar traslated into 7,000 trillian won around the world by 2030. Thus production, supply, reduce and reuse policies and techniques for green energy came pouring out like a flood. But there is a limit to the fuel supply in order to produce a power generation facility and the power supply that is essential. Reducing produced power efficiently is more important than the increasing of power production. At present, using a method that controls the equipment installed by measuring the environment for efficient control of the energy management of energy-consuming devices that are in use. But the reality is that many policies of national and corporate to did not work to solve a part of the energy savings. In this paper, I proposes a smart energy management system to control the equipment by using the accumulated data obtained with minimal changes in the environment using the energy.
Design and Development of Simulation Framework for Processing Window Query in Wireless Spatial Data Broadcasting Environment

Smart devices linked to high speed networks enable us to obtain location dependent data at anywhere and anytime. In this environment, a wireless data broadcast system can deal with enormous data request from a great number of clients effectively. In order to set up an efficient wireless data broadcast system, various data scheduling and indexing schemes have been proposed. However, a simulation framework to evaluate the schemes is not reported yet. In this paper, we design and develop a simulation framework for a wireless data broadcast system. The developed simulation framework can evaluate quickly a wireless data broadcast system and has scalability to adopt various data scheduling and indexing schemes for wireless data broadcasting.

As an Accident data recorder (ADR) is a system to record a vehicle's status and dynamics information on the before and after of accident, Traffic accident investigation agencies and parts developers have a lot of interest to analyze an accident objectively and develop automotive safety devices by using real accident data, This study is to analyze an accident objectively and scientifically on the basis of traffic accident reconstruction with the use of output data of an event data recorder. This study is conducted double lane change test six times and slalom test one time as a field driving test and simulation. Based on the vehicle speed, the longitudinal and transverse acceleration, steering angle, driving path, and other kinds of information obtained from the field driving test, this study performed a simulation with PC-Crash program of reenacting and analyzing a traffic accident. The simulation was performed twice in the acceleration-steering angle input method and in the acceleration-driving path input method. By comparing the result of the field driving test with the results of the two simulations, we drew an analysis method with the optimal path reconstruction.
Topical Clustering Techniques of Twitter Documents Using Korean Wikipedia

Recently, the need for retrieving documents is growing in SNS environment such as twitter. For supporting the twitter search, a clustering technique classifying the massively retrieved documents in terms of topics is required. However, due to the nature of twitter, there is a limit in applying previous simple techniques to clustering the twitter documents. To overcome such problem, we propose in this paper a new clustering technique suitable to twitter environment. In proposed method, we augment new terms to feature vectors representing the twitter documents, and recalculate the weights of features using Korean Wikipedia. In addition, we performed the experiments with Korean twitter documents, and proved the usability of proposed method through performance comparison with the previous techniques.

In this paper, it developed the how to use the pulse diagnosis and tongue diagnosis based on s mart based electronic acupuncture. It will do objective judgment without wrong diagnosis. In this paper, we developed the algorithm that it automatically determines patient health condition and smart electronic acupuncture kit using fuzzy logic and fuzzy reasoning system were completed. In this paper, Simulation results proved that acupuncture is effective than the traditional method of using electronic intelligence.
Implementation of Miniaturized 433MHz Antenna Using IFA Structure

In this paper, the antenna of a small active RFID for 433MHz is proposed, and the proposed antenna is a kind of built-in antenna, which uses IFA structure. The performance was improved by the change of the spacing between the feed point and short strip, inserting the meander line structure in a radiator, and varying the gap between the radiator and the ground plane in the proposed antenna. To confirm the characteristics of the antenna parameters, HFSS from ANSYS Inc. was used for the analysis. The frequency band of 433MHz Active RFID is from 433.67 to 434.17 MHz. There is a value of return loss less than -9.54 dB in 433MHz band of the active RFID, and the maximum antenna gain is -4.28dBi. The Jig size of the proposed antenna is

In this paper, the improved power durability test system and method for an reliability analysis of SAW device is proposed and the failure mechanism through failure analysis is analyzed. As a result of the failure analysis using microscope, SEM and EDX, the failure mechanism of the SAW device is electromigration due to joule heating under high current density and high temperature condition. The electromigration makes voids and hillocks in the IDT electrode and the voids and hillocks can lead to short circuit and open circuit faults, respectively, increasing the insertion loss of an SAW filter. The accelerated life testing of the SAW filter for 450MHz CDMA application using the proposed power durability test system and method is carried out.

In this paper, the single-fed microstrip parasitic array antenna for low-cost three-dimensional beam steering in 5.8GHz ISM(5.725GHz~5.825GHz) band is designed and implemented. With the development of industry these days, the demand for electric power increases and the larger capacity for power transfer is required. The scales of facilities should become larger; and the relative systems are required to operate with a higher degree of reliability. Therefore, stabilization of electric power systems is an important issue. The high degree of reliability required in the process of production and supply of electric power is an essential part of industrial society. Accident such as blackouts causes a hugh amount of economic losses to the high-tech industrial society dependent upon electric power. In this paper, in order to determine a stable operation of high-voltage power cable, used as a unique means of delivering electric power generated at a power station, we figure out the time rate of change of insulation resistance following a decay accelerating factor Arrhenius equation. With the data from the insulation resistance, we can determine the lifetime of power cable in operation.

In this paper, we find out the lifetime index in order to determine the time-dependent trend of deteriorating performance of 6.6kV high-voltage power cable in operation at a power station. The cable systems used in our study have been in operation for 13 years. With measurements for the 13 years, we analyzed the insulation resistances. By developing measuring equipment (comprized mainly of transformer, temperature sensor, and LPF) operating by the three-phase electric power, we analyzed the changing characteristics of insulation resistance of power cable. In contrast to 22kV cables, 6.6 kV cables have thicker insulation. Therefore the characteristics of 6.6kV cables are different from that of 22kV cables. The study found that as time passes, the insulation resistance does not decrease continuously; it decreases to a certain value, then does not decrease any more and shows properties of oscillation. We could not detect the process of deterioration in the preceding twelve years. The cable system showed great stability so that deterioration was not apparent. In this case, it is not possible to measure the future life indices of power cables because the lifetime indices are not predictable

This study presents an investigation into the ways to detect the areas of object movement with Kinect's Depth Frame, which is capable of receiving 3D information regardless of external light sources. Applied to remove noises along the boundaries of objects among the depth information received from sensors were the blurring technique for the x and y coordinates of pixels and the frequency filter for the z coordinate. In addition, a clustering filter was applied according to the changing amounts of adjacent pixels to extract the areas of moving objects. It was also designed to detect fast movements above the standard according to filter settings, being applicable to mobile robots. Detected movements can be applied to security systems when being delivered to distant places via a network and can also be expanded to large-scale data through concerned information.

With the aid of a matching step and discontinuous CPW, the antenna easily adjusts the impedance matching. We used an FR4 dielectric substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4. . A return loss value of more than 10dB was found in the 2.37GHz to 10.52GHz (8.15GHz) range of the antenna fed by the discontinuous CPW.
