Automatic Client Authentication Method in All-In-One Services

The all-in-one service, for example, mobile wallet enables users to have credit card, membership card, and coupon in one place. It has been one of important o2o services with offline payment. In order to take advantage of mobile commerce, it is necessary to authenticate clients automatically without entering their passwords. This paper proposes an automatic client authentication method in all-in-one service. At registration, clients receives and stores an authentication ticket from a company, which contains an user`s identifier and password encrypted by company`s symmetric key. Client can be authenticated by transferring authentication tickets to companies at service requests.
A Study on Content Protection Framework for E-Book DRM-Agnostic based on Readium SDK

In order to guarantee the compatibility of e-Book viewers based on EPUB 3, IDPF launched Readium SDK v1.0 in January, 2015, which was followed by research on the implementation of Readium LCP specifications for user-friendly DRM functions. The complexity of the Readium SDK, however, makes difficulties in interlocking Readium SDK with LCP modules. Moreover, from the perspective of the Readium SDK, which tries to maintain the architecture, independently of any specific DRM technologies, the strong interlock with LCP, as a one DRM, is not desirable. This study represents a Content Protection Framework Model for compatibility of Readium-SDK-based e-Book DRM in order to hide the complexity of Readium SDK and implement an easy interlock between plural DRM and Readium SDK.

Recently, an environment in which public opinions are expressed about various areas is expanded around SNSs or internet potals, thus, opinion documents get bigger rapidly. Under these circumstances, it is essential to utilize automatic summarization techniques for understanding whole contents of large opinion documents. However, it is hard to summarize efficiently those documents with traditional text summarization technologies since the documents include subject expressions as well as features of targets objects. Proposed method in this paper defines features of opinion documents, and designed to retrieve representative sentences expressing opinions of those features. In addition, through experiments, we prove the usefulness of proposed method.
A Comparison Study of Colour Perception considering Peripheral Vision on Display Device

In this study, under the assumption that there may be differences in colour attributes that can be perceived according to the brightness of the background and the size of the colour stimulus, a test was conducted where colour matching was done for stimulus sizes of
in terms of peripheral vision by varying the background brightness. The test results showed that depending on the background brightness and the specific combinations of the Munsell colour attributes used as the test stimulus, colours can be perceived differently even if they are the same colours. In addition, in contrast to findings from previous studies on colour perception according to the stimulus size, it was found that even if the size of the colour stimulus is relatively small, colours can be perceived more colourfully or more brightly with changes in the background brightness. Based on the findings of this study, degradation in image quality can be improved, which may occur when the size of the input image is changed at a later time, and also, contributions can be made when it comes to the reproduction of effective sold three-dimensional structures that reflect visual qualities when processing 3D holographic imagery, in addition to 2D imagery.
Performance Improvement of IP Handover by Data Link Trigger

In the traditional wireless LAN model, scan procedure to search a new AP starts when the predefined number of Rx failure of beacon frames are occurred. In this case, lots of data packet loss occur during MN`s handover because loss of the relatively longer data packet starts before the small-sized beacon loss. Newly developed scanning mechanism in this paper has the beacon counter that increases when the Rx power level of beacon frame is less than the threshold and the previous rx power level. New scan procedure starts when the counter exceeds the predefined number. Beacon Rx power threshold is verified and performance of the new WLAN model is evaluated under UDP and TCP traffic environment.
Performance of Opportunistic Incremental Relaying Systems with Random Relays in Rayleigh Fading Channels

Opportunistic incremental relaying (OIR) system effectively overcomes the degradations caused by the fading of the wireless channel, and efficiently utilizes the wireless resources. Most of the OIR studies, however, assume spatially fixed relays. The user terminals which are usually served as relays move continuously, the assumption that the relays are fixed is not realistic. In this paper, the location of the spatially random user terminals are modeled by the Poisson point process, and the performance of an OIR system is derived. We noticed that the performance of the OIR system improves with the spatially random relays as well as with the fixed relays. Also the intensity of the relays and the transmitting directions toward the destination affect the performances. The performances of the maximal ratio combining (MRC) and the selection combining (SC) at the destination are compared.
Experimental Evaluation Method for Performance Analysis in Web Application Services

The performance of a web application is an essential issue to provide high quality of the services in interactive web environments. On a sudden increase in traffic in a very short span of time, the servers became CPU starved and would become unresponsive. This would lead to a bad experience for the clients of web service. This paper deals with the effects of two configurable software settings of J2EE application servers: the maximum size of the thread pool and the maximum size of database connection pool. In order to figure out the optimum configuration value, this paper builds experimental evaluation method for web performance analysis. Finally, a case study related with the proper experimental method is presented with performance result.
A Design and Implementation of Indoor IoT Resource Control Service using Web-based IETF CoAP Protocol

Recently, an IoT(Internet of Things) application communication protocol is standardizing for connectivity between every things on Internet. In this paper, we design and implement an indoor resource control service using IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) based on Web. We present an indoor resource control architecture based on Web included functionalities of proxy and RD (Resource Directory) in a web server. Developed indoor resource control service supports to register low-powered and small-scale IoT nodes to web server using CoAP. This service allows users to control the indoor resources through a web browser using Web proxy with functionality of HTTP-CoAP converting.
Transmission and reception scheme for D2D communication in LTE-Advanced environment

We treat device-to-device direct communication (D2D) by reusing cellular uplink resources in LTE-Advanced systems. Conventional schemes assume that D2D transmitter employs SC-FDMA scheme for the date transmission. In the conventional schemes, however, it is very difficult to reduce the interference between the users, D2D communication cannot be used when the interference caused by cellular uplink signal is high. In this paper, we propose D2D transmission scheme which employes MC-CDMA technology and D2D detection scheme which uses MMSE algorithm to reduce interference from the cellular uplink signal. Therefore, in the proposed scheme the D2D communication becomes possible even in the high interference scenario. Through simulation, we show that the proposed scheme has better BER performance than the conventional scheme.
Locker Management System using Smartphone and Arduino

In this paper, we propose a locker system that can remotely control and manage locker. The main features of the proposed system are follows. First, connect the locker with server and then open the locker after passing through the certification process in server. Second, locker manager can more systematically manage a locker by using locker management system based on smart phone. Third, provide an instant locker for temporary using lockers to increase the ease of use. Fourth, unlike traditional analog locker, can support better security by using authentication process and log data. Performance evaluation is performed via simulation by making the dummy model. The results of performance evaluation show the proposed system can support efficiently the locker management.

In this paper, we propose an Android-based smart LED push notification system. The main feature and contribution of the proposed system are as follows. First, because it notifies messages using LED lights, it is possible to check anywhere in the house without carrying the smartphone. Second, the external control using Web2py can not only manages simple LED control but one can also add notification system indicating various conditions inside the house such as motion recognition sensor, temperature sensor. Performance evaluation of the proposed system is executed by two kinds of view point as: First, how to response instantly according to the incoming signal of LED control and notification in the given networks. Second, how to recognize the change of LED light. The results of experiment show that the efficiency and convenience of the proposed system is verified from the user`s point of view.
Efficient Power Allocation Algorithm for Wireless Networks

In communication systems the solution of the problem of maximizing the mutual information between the input and output of a channel composed of several subchannels under total power constraint has a waterfilling structure. OFDM and MIMO can be decomposed into parallel subchannels with CSI. Waterfilling solves the problem of optimal power allocation to these subchannels to achieve the rate approaching the channel capacity under total power constraint. In waterfilling, more power is alloted to good channels(high SNR) and less or no power to bad channels to increase the rate of good channels, resulting in channel capacity. Waterfilling finds the exact water level satisfying the power constraint employing an iterative algorithm to estimate and update the water level. In this process computation of partial sums of inverse of square of subchannel gain is repeatedly required. In this paper we reduced the computation time of waterfilling algorithm by replacing the partial sum computation with reference to an array which contains the precomputed partial sums in initialization phase.
Performance Improvement of CCA Blind Equalization Algorithm by Adaptive Step Size

This paper relates with the performance improvement of CCA (Compact Constellation Algorithm) equalization algorithm by adding the adaptive step size control in order to the minimization of intersymbol interference and additive noise effects that is occurs in the channel for digital radio transmissionl. In general, the fixed step size was used in order to adaptation in equalizer algorithm. But in proposed algorithm, the variable step size were adapted that is proposional to the nonlinear function of error signal for equalization. In order to show the improved equalizatation performance, the output signal constellation of equalizer, residual isi, maximum distortion, MSE and SER were used, then it were compared with the present CCA algorithm. As a result of computer simulation, the adaptive step size CCA has more better performance in the every performance index compared to the fixed step size CCA after in the steay state.
Performance Improvement of SMMA Adaptive Equalization Algorithm using Adaptive Modulus in QAM Signal

This paper deals with AM-SMMA (Adaptive Modulus-SMMA) adaptive equalization algorithm that is possible to improves the equalization performance using adaptive modulus which is propotional to the output signal power of equalizer in the current SMMA algorithm. The fixed statistic modulus of transmitted QAM signal is used in current SMMA algorithm in order to generate the error signal for updating the tap coefficient of equalizer. The adaptive modulus which is propotion to the equalizer output signal power is used in the proposed AM-SMMA. The computer simulation was performed in order to confirm the improved equalization performance of proposed algorithm. The performance index includes the output signal constellation, the residual isi and maximum distortion that is for the convergence characteristics, the SER. As a result of computer simulation, the residual isi, maximum distortion are better in the small weighting values. But in SER performance is better in the large weighting values.
Link Relay H-ARQ mode for Throughput improvement in a Satellite Communication network

Satellite communication is a communication method using a satellite as a repeater communication on the air and have a communication range is wide and is possible to transmit high-speed data, so Satellite communication has been highlighted as the next generation communication. However, because the distance between the ground and the satellite is far away, there is a disadvantage that propagation delay time is very long and packet is damaged. Therefore, this study was applied to Link Relay H-ARQ system in order to complement the damage to the packet. Furthermore, we propose the Modified Link Relay H-ARQ scheme is a new scheme to supplementation the delay time. By applying the Markov channel for implementing a channel of satellite communications, the results of analyzing the performance, when applying the Link Relay HARQ scheme, BER and PER performance was improved, when applying the Modified Link Relay H-ARQ scheme, Throughput performance was confirmed improvement.
Performance Analysis of TCP Variants using AQM and ECN

Transmission Control Protocol as a transport layer protocol provides steady data transfer service. There are some serious concerns about the performance of TCP over diverse networks. The vital concern in TCP network environment is congestion which may occur due to quick transmission rates or because of large number of new connections entering the network at the same time. Size of queues in routers grows thus resulting in packet drops. Retransmission of the dropped packets, and reduced throughput can prove costly. Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) in conjunction with Active Queue Management mechanisms (AQM) such as Random early detection (RED) is used for packet marking rather than dropping. In IP packet header ECN bits can be added as a sign of congestion thus avoiding needless packet drops. The proposed ECN and AQM mechanism can be implemented with help of ns2 simulator and the performance can be tested on different TCP variants.
Congestion Control Algorithms Evaluation of TCP Linux Variants in Dumbbell

Dumbbell is the most basic topology that can be used in almost all kind of network experiment within it or just by little expansion. While Transmission Control Protocol TCP is the basic protocol that is used for the connectivity among networks and stations. TCP major and basic goal is to provide path and services to different applications for communication. For that reason TCP has to transfer a lot of data through a communication medium that cause serious congestion problem. To calculate the congestion problem, different kind of pre-cure solutions are developer which are Loss Based Variant and Delay Based Variant. While LBV keep track of the data that is going to be passed through TCP protocol, if the data packets start dropping that means congestion occurrence which notify as a symptom, TCP CUBIC use LBV for notifying the loss. Similarly the DBV work with the acknowledgment procedure that is used in when data ACK get late with respect to its set data rate time, TCP COMPOUND/VAGAS are examples of DBV. Many algorithms have been purposed to control the congestion in different TCP variants but the loss of data packets did not completely controlled. In this paper, the congestion control algorithms are implemented and corresponding results are analyzed in Dumbbell topology, it is typically used to analyze the TCP traffic flows. Fairness of throughput is evaluated for different TCP variants using network simulator (NS-2).
A Design and Implementation for Registration Service of IoT Embedded Node using CoAP Protocol-based Resource Directory in Mobile Internet Environments

Recently, IETF (Internet Engineering Task) working group has adopted CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) as a standard IoT proctocol. CoAP is a specialized web transfer protocol for use with constrained nodes and constrained environment such as small memory and low power networks. In this paper, we design and implement a registration service with CoAP protocol based on RD(Resource Directory) to connect IoT nodes in mobile Internet environments. The resource directory between the mobile terminal and IoT nodes provides to discover the IoT nodes and get the context data. The mobile terminal has as the CoAP client and embedded IoT nodes includes as the CoAP server so that it can conveniently manage the constrained IoT nodes to get the context data and control devices in a mobile environments.

A Study on Robot System Development for Environmental monitoring of Reservoirs

For the quality increase of agricultural and aquatic products, it is necessary to the efficient management system of integrated control and accurate data for improving the water quality of reservoirs. This may be using the USN save time and money. In this paper, the water surface robot was designed and manufactured for measuring and announcing the environment informations, and it`s network was constructed. The robot had more excellent durability and was more inexpensive than previous model. The network was designed considering connection with ZigBee, TRS, Wi-Fi or LTE network. Also the exploration function of the robot was confirmed by the simulation and the user interface was programmed.
A Mechanism to identify Indoor or Outdoor Location for Three Dimensional Geofence

Geofence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographical area, which could be statically or dynamically established the specified area if necessary. Many geofencing applications incorporate 2D(two-dimensional) map such as the Google map, allowing administrators to define boundaries on top of a satellite view of a specific geographical area. But these applications do not provide 3D(three-dimensional) spatial information as well as 2D location information no matter where indoor or outdoor. Therefore we propose a mechanism to identify indoor or outdoor location for 3D geofence, and implement 3D geofence using smartphone. The proposed mechanism identifies the position information on 3D geofence regardless of indoor or outdoor, inter-floor with only GPS and WiFi. In the near future, 3D geofence as well as LBS are promising applications that become possible when IoT can become organized and connected by location.

Geofence is a generic concept for describing geographic aspects of PoI(Point of Interest) enabling users to proactively induce context-based actions. However there is no need to maintain continuity when you reflect geofence in case of temporary events, accidents and isolation. Therefore we propose a geofence platform so-called TemG by adding time-limited information to support PoI. The proposed geofence platform TemG ensures the persistency and continuity of geofence. Furthermore, the proposed TemG can not only provide to automatically activate or deactivate the specified geofence during a period of timestamp but also support to the basic context-aware service knowing in/out in the zone. In the near future, the proposed TemG will be need to extend HPS(Hybrid Positioning System) for IoT(Internet of Things).

SNS is developing rapidly along with diffusion of smartphone. However as useage of SNS became excessive, SNS addiction became a social problem. Meanwhile the problem that users leavning SNS because of negative perceptions about SNS became issue. As both SNS addiction and continuance are important when using SNS, this study examines factors affecting Facebook addiction and continuance. We derive three personal traits, which is autonomy, competence, relatedness as variables that affect Facebook addiction and continuance to use Facebook. The authors` structural equation model using data, collected from 204 Facebook user, showed that autonomy and competence significantly affected Facebook addiction. Also, autonomy, competence and relatedness significantly affect Facebook continuance.
A Dynamic Duty Cycle Adjustment Mechanism for Reduced Latency in Industrial Plants

For environmental monitoring and risk identification of industrial plants, several monitoring systems using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been developed. In this paper, we propose a dynamic duty cycle adjustment mechanism for reduced latency in industrial plants. The proposed method adjusts the duty cycle among predefined risk groups depending on the urgency of sensed data values. To demonstrate its efficacy, we analyze the expected transmission latency model and then discuss the characteristics in detail. We show that the proposed dynamic duty cycle mechanism is a more effective than a periodic mechanism by analyzing the expected latency of them in industrial plants where there are various types of sensory data with different levels of reliability.
An Efficient Smart Indoor Emotional Lighting Control System based on Android Platform using Biological Signal

In this paper, we propose efficient smart indoor emotional lighting control system based on android platform using the biological signal. The proposed smart indoor smart emotional lighting control system were configured as the biological signal measurement device and removable smart wall pad, lighting driver, luminaire. The control system was extracts the emotional language by measured the biological signal, and it was transmitted a control signal to each lighting driver using a bluetooth in the wall pad. The lighting driver were designed to control the lighting device through an expansion board by collected control signal and the illuminance information the surrounding. In this case, the wall pad can be selecting of manual control and the bio signal mode by that indoor emotional lighting control algorithms, and it was implemented the control program that possible to partial control by selecting the wanted light. Experiment results of the proposed smart indoor emotional lighting control system, it were possible to the optional control about the luminaire of required area, and the manual control by to adjustable of color temperature with that the efficiently adjustable of lighting by to biological signal and emotional language. Therefore, were possible to effective control for improvement of concentration and business capability of indoor space business conduct by controlling the color and brightness that is appropriate for your situation. And, was reduced power consumption and dimmer voltage, lighting-current than the existing-emotional lighting control system.
GOOSE Traffic Generator Using Network Emulation

IEC 61850 is a protocol used to reduce the cost of design, installation and maintenance of the Substation Automation System. GOOSE traffic used in IEC 61850 plays an important role for control, protection and automation of the substation. This study implemented a GOOSE traffic generator using the emulation function of NS-3 network simulator, by using protocols provided by a network simulator and another protocols provided by real communication equipment. The generated GOOSE traffic was analyzed with Wireshark, and it was found that the traffic was generated exactly as expected. Besides, this study measured the GOOSE traffic delay due to the increase of the number of switches according to network topology. It is expected that the GOOSE traffic generator implemented by this study will be efficiently used when experiments are performed on actual substation environments.
Design of Rectangular Planar Monopole Antenna with a Double Sleeve

In this paper, a wideband antenna accomplished by adding a double sleeve of a rectangular planar monopole structure is proposed. In order to impedance matching of proposed antenna, the antenna performance was improved by adding two gap sleeves and outer sleeve for double sleeve structure. HFSS simulator of ANSYS corp. was used in order to confirm the antenna parameter characteristic. According to the simulation results, the VSWR was less than 2 for the range of 2.5GHz~10.5GHz. The frequency bandwidth is 8GHz. The frequency range of the actual fabricated antenna was 2.92GHz~10.32GHz, the frequency bandwidth is 7.4GHz. The measured radiation pattern frequency is 3GHz, 6GHz and 9GHz. The results are similar with dipole antenna pattern in all frequency. The antenna size is

This paper is about vision system that exhibits automatic examination of the conditions of fuses and relay boxes using a camera. Proposed vision system is composed of three parts: image acquisition, vision algorithm, and user interface. The image acquisition part is composed of illumination and optics. The vision algorithmis the examining part, using the grabbed fuse box image. Lastly, user interface is divided into two parts, user interface for registering features of fuse box and user interface for examination operation.

As the demand for electric power increases, all devices operating in power stations and all devices adopted in order to deliver distant loads need to be operating in perfect condition at the level of reliability expected by consumers. In general, the lifetime of cables used in delivering high power is declared to be 30 years from the time of production. Deterioration (which is the worsening of electric properties) starts from the very moment of operation. In spite of the reduction in reliability caused by deterioration, the reality is that cables often operate at considerable risk of accidents because the reliability of operation has not been diagnosed. We have invented a device to diagnose the deterioration processes of high-voltage power cables. It has been installed and is currently operating at Korea Western Power Co., Ltd., located in Chungnam, Korea. In previously published papers we have shown graphs obtained by plotting insulation resistances versus time, through analyzing the data extracted from operating cables using the devices we have invented. In this paper, we verify that the previously plotted graphs agree with the life time index of Weibull distribution of probability.
A Performance Study of Asymmetric Embedded Multi-Core Processors

Recently, the multi-core processor architecture is widely adopted in the embedded processors for enhancing its performance. Multi-core processors are classified either as symmetric or asymmetric. Asymmetric multicore processors are known to score higher performance and more efficient than symmetric multi-core processors. In order to study the performance enhancement of asymmetric multi-core embedded processors over the symmetric ones, the trace-driven simulation has been executed for various asymmetric embedded dual-core, quad-core, octa-core and hexadeca-core processors and compared with the symmetric ones of similar hardware budget using MiBench benchmarks as input.
Implementation of Polarization-Insensitive Directional Coupler using Curved Waveguides

The polarization characteristics of polarization-insensitive directional coupler based on double sandwiched rib-type and curved waveguides are explored in detail by using conformal transformation method (CTM) and longitudinal modal transmission-line theory(L-MTLT). To obtain the polarization-insensitive condition of polarization-insensitive curved directional coupler(PI-CDC), the coupling length and coupling efficiency according to the inner radius of PI-CDC are analyzed for quasi-TE and quasi-TM modes. The numerical results show that the PI-CDC with a few micrometer scales can be realized by properly choosing the curvature and structural and material parameters of double sandwiched layers. Furthermore, the mode profiles propagating through PI-CDC are evaluated, and the influence on coupler performance has been investigated.

This paper suggests a heuristic algorithm to obtain optimal solution of minimum number of aircraft delay in multi-airport arrivals/departures problem. This single airport arrivals/departures problem can be solved by mathematical optimization method only. The linear programming or genetic algorithm that is a kind of metaheuristic method is used for a multi-airport arrivals/departures problem. Firstly, the proposed algorithm selects the median minimum delays capacity in various arrivals/departures capacities at an airport for the number of aircraft in
time interval (15 minutes) at each airport. Next, we suggest reallocate method for arrival aircraft between airports. This algorithm better result of the number of delayed aircraft then genetic algorithm.

Software requirement analysis is necessary for successful software development project. Specially, incomplete requirement is the most influential causes of software project failure. Incomplete requirement can bring late delay and over budget because of the misunderstanding and ambiguous criteria for project validation. Software requirement patterns can help writing more complete requirement. These can be a reference model and standards when author writing or validating software requirement. Furthermore, when a novice writes the software scenario, the requirement patterns can be one of the guideline. In this paper proposes an automatic approach to identifying software scenario patterns from various software scenarios. In this paper, we gathered 83 scenarios from eight industrial systems, and show how to extract 54 scenario patterns and how to find omitted action of the scenario using extracted patterns for the feasibility of the approach.

In this paper, we consider the discussion of the breakdown phenomenon of korean language that is displayed in the language of the Internet media, as a technical improvement approach to this, and to provide an automatic translation technology of standard language. The collected through real life surveys and experience and damage case regarding language breakdown phenomena in the FGI (Focussed Group Interview), and presents the results of the analysis, based on the analysis result data, we defined the index of language destroyed (degree of Korean destruction). The limit of the national language break or automatic translation technology standard language marked with translation errors that have to be minimized, the efficiency of the automatic translation technology standard language which may be utilized as a measure to get the maximum, and presented through the Internet media texts 2,480 pieces of analysis. Automatic translation technology of the standard language and was also measured the proposed language destroyed in this paper, we implemented in the form of a REST API using the Java language, was confirmed to work on the Web browser.

As the development of recent science and technology, high-performance computing resources is needed to solve complex problems. To reach these requirements, it has been actively studied about grid computing that consist of a huge system which bind a heterogeneous high performance computing resources into on which are geographically dispersed. However, The current research situation which are the process to obtain the best results in the limited resources and the scheduling policy to accurately predict the total execution time of the real-time task are very poor. In this paper, in order to overcome these problems, we suggested a grid computing-based risk management system which derived from the system structure and the process for improving the efficiency of the system, grid computing-based working methodology, risk policy module which can manage efficiently the problem of the work of resources(Agent), scheduling technique and allocation method which can re-allocate the resource allocation and the resources in problem, and monitoring which can manage resources(Agent).
Analysis of Topological Invariants of Manifold Embedding for Waveform Signals

This paper raises a question of whether a simple periodic phenomenon is associated with the topology and provides the convincing answers to it. A variety of music instrumental sound signals are used to prove our assertion, which are embedded in Euclidean space to analyze their topologies by computing the homology groups. A commute time embedding is employed to transform segments of waveforms into the corresponding geometries, which is implemented by organizing patches according to the graph-based metric. It is shown that commute time embedding generates the intrinsic topological complexities although their geometries are varied according to the spectrums of the signals. This paper employs a persistent homology to determine the topological invariants of the simplicial complexes constructed by randomly sampling the commute time embedding of the waveforms, and discusses their applications.
