Fast Adaptive Parameter Estimation Algorithm using Unit Vector

This paper proposes a new QRD-LS adaptive algorithm with computational complexity of O( N). The main idea of proposed algorithm(D-QR-RLS) is based on the fact that the computation for the unit vector of is made from the process during Givens Rotation. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated through computer simulation of FIR system identification problem. As verified by simulation results, this algorithm exhibits a good performance. And, we can see the proposed algorithm converges to optimal coefficient vector theoretically.
An Efficient Channel Sounding Method for WPAN System

In this paper, we propose the channel sounding scheme which is made for ideal communication between some application as well as the short distance of high speed data transmission in MIMO-OFDM system for Wireless PAN. This method is able to perceive the duration of the impulse response through the delaying of power delay profile, modeled a power delay profile which has an attenuate characteristic, and obtained the coefficient of channel response by ML (maximum likelihood). Through the amplitudes, phases and delays associated with each multipath component which were acquired from this channel sounding scheme, we can describe the wave propagation characteristics of channels between the transmitter and receiver so that the receiver could enhance not only the reliability but also the ability of communication link.

This paper proposes a CIB framework implementing a ubiquitous smart space. In a ubiquitous smart space, a ubiquitous mobile device recognizes surrounding context, and infers the situation and provides services to users. Ubiquitous mobile devices have a RDF store to manage resources and relevant information efficiently on CIB framework. This store space is flexible on the operations such as addition, modification, deletion of information and response to query by SPARQL. In addition, it provides local information to other ubiquitous mobile devices in the from of XML and stores resource information from other ubiquitous mobile devices into local ubiquitous mobile device for the purpose of discovering external resources.
Minimum Transmit Power Strategy for Poisson Distributed Wireless Ad-hoc Relay Networks in Rayleigh Fading Channels

In this paper, the transmit power minimization for Poisson distributed wireless ad-hoc relay networks in Rayleigh fading channels is considered. We investigate two power allocation methods one is a minimum power allocation (MPA) strategy and the other is an equal outage power allocation (EOPA) strategy. We analyze the total transmit power of two allocation methods under the given end-to-end outage probabilityconstraint. Our results show that the MPA achieves more power saving than EOPA, and the power saving is more significant as the number of relay nodes increases.
Realtime Visibility Measurement Using Moving Area Filter and Image Contrast

Realtime visibility measurement using camera is a new method which can collect some realtime visibility data similar to those of the human eyes, and can replace the existing methods using the expensive optical equipment. There have been a few attempts to measure visibility by extracting depth and three-dimensional structure under bad weather conditions. However, if there are many movements of objects in the image, these approaches seem to be inappropriate. In addition, the realtime visibility measurement will require a relatively simple and fast processing. Typically the contrast degrades exponentially in the bad weather. Therefore, in this paper we propose an easy and quick method that extract contrast from images using a moving area filter and measure visibility by mathematically modelling of the relationship between image contrast and visibility. The moving area filter is used for removing the area of the sky and moving objects that affect visibility measurement on images. The method proposed here can make possible not only realtime visibility measurement from images taken by CCD cameras, but also steady visibility measurement by using the moving area filter in case of much traffic on the road.

Channel Coding Based Physical Layer Security for Wireless Networks

This paper introduces a new paradigm of physical layer security through channel coding for wireless networks. The well known spread spectrum based physical layer security in wireless network is applicable when code division multiple access (CDMA) is used as wireless air link interface. In our proposal, we incorporate the proposed security protocol within channel coding as channel coding is an essential part of all kind of wireless communications. Channel coding has a built-in security in the sense of encoding and decoding algorithm. Decoding of a particular codeword is possible only when the encoding procedure is exactly known. This point is the key of our proposed security protocol. The common parameter that required for both encoder and decoder is generally a generator matrix. We proposed a random selection of generators according to a security key to ensure the secrecy of the networks against unauthorized access. Therefore, the conventional channel coding technique is used as a security controller of the network along with its error correcting purpose.
A comparison and analysis of laser sensors for measuring the flatness and thickness of flat display glass

In this paper the glass inspection system for the thickness and flatness is implemented. Laser sensors and robot arms required for glass measurements is tested on the performance assesment. Three kinds of laser sensors are used and analysed, and 3-axis robot arm with the ball-screwed type is implemented. Thus the methods of glass measurement is discussed and the difficulties are solved to propose the solutions. To minimize the errors of glass measurement the system is improved as considered device errors.

The paradigm of information & communication is rapidly changed into ubiquitous environment based electromagnetic wave, and antenna technology in the wireless ubiquitous communication is remarkably developed. Mini chip antenna has its within small card compared to the external AP antenna. Designed and Fabricated WLAN antenna has a broadband characteristics of 2.4~2.5GHz and 4.9~5.85GHz, and can be used triple mode of IEEE 802.11.a,g.b, and it has comparatively a constant performance in the dual frequency band.
Performance Analysis of a TH-PPM UWB System using Dyadic Tree Structure

In this paper, certain scaling functions are generated using the dyadic subband tree structure and applied to a time-hopping, pulse position modulation, ultra-wideband (TH-PPM UWB) system. Scaling functions can be obtained by iterating a lowpass filter at each level using a critically sampled dyadic tree. The performance of the TH-PPM UWB system employing scaling functions as the mono-cycle waveform is evaluated through computer simulations in a Rayleigh fading environment.
A retransmission method for the improvement of the transmission reliability in Ubiquitous Sensor Network

Most of the current research works on high-technology is being carried on to provide ubiquitous services to people. To make that possible, ubiquitous computing networks should be deployed in the first place, where ubiquitous sensor network (USN) will take a very big role. This paper is devoted to introduce a new transmission technique to make USN more independent and reliable as an infra-structure for ubiquitous services. The proposed scheme can elevate the network performance by ensuring the reliability of data transmission. Especially, the proposed scheme can reduce network traffic and communication cost by detecting data error without additional data and communication. In addition, it has an advantage of using the legacy routing protocols.
Technique Criteria Calculation for Next Generation Mobile Communication

The new wireless multimedia environment is coming because of the variety of an user requirement and a traffic increase which we can not accept in the IMT-2000 present systems. To offer the wireless multimedia service the world wireless communication company which included the ITU-R is developing the standard and technique of 4G systems. We analyzed the technique criteria of the 4G wireless communication system in this paper which is based on that of WiBro System. The mobile communication traffic is predicted Up/Down-link of non-symmetric in the future. And we proposed the PHY layer parameters of occupied frequency bandwidth of Up/Down-link with both 1:3 and 1:6. And we verified this through the simulation. So we proposed the technique criteria for 4G wireless communication in this paper.
