Sensor Node Control Algorithm Based on TinyOS

Recently, there is developing various ubiquitous application services using sensor networks based on TinyOS represented the operating system of sensor node. These sensor networks perform the collection and the transmission of sensing data from sensor node to get the context information. In this paper, we proposes the sensor node control algorithm which converts a sensor node to sleep, active, power off mode according to monitoring result of the voltage state of sensor node. Also, we designs and implement the sensor control module on server, sink, sensor node of sensor networks using this algorithm. It designs a sensor voltage control module of sensor node, data receive and display module of USN server using a java language and TinyOS. And, it checks the voltage state of sensor node, and it changes one of the sleep or power off modes in case of high voltage loss. Accordingly, we effectively use the power of sensor nodes as changing control modes of sensor nodes.
Implementation of Indoor Location-Aware System based on Probability Distribution of RSSI

Ubiquitous implementation of indoor location-based technology is recognized that one of the important elements of the technology. Specifically, the hospital management of patients, the silver-town management, the implementation of the smart home for the indoors rather than outdoors in a range of broadband users for location-aware technology is needed. This paper in wireless devices with an indoor location awareness shows about the system's technical design and implementation. Location-based technology for wireless LAN users aware of the strength of radio signals (Received Signal Strength Indication, RSSI) using trilateration. Topographic mapping system will be implemented wireless devices and servers, Access Point (AP), which is the system's development and testing throughout the physical environment to determine the potential for real-life applications.
A Cross-Layer Transmission Architecture to Support Power Saving High-Speed Multimedia Services in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we propose a Cross-Layer Transmission Architecture (CLTA) to support power saving high-speed multimedia services in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks(MAWSN). The main goals of this paper are in showing and proposing how the routing routes are decided on route stability based on mobility of mobile nodes to increase the operational lifetime of routes as well as how the transmit power can be saved in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks. To obtain these goals, we propose a cross-layer architecture strategy which combines network layer technology with physical layer technology to get synergy effects in the view of transmission power saving. We consider a realistic approach, in the points of view of the MAWSN, based on mobile sensor nodes as well as fixed sensor nodes in sensor fields while the conventional research for sensor networks focus on mainly fixed sensor nodes. The performance evaluation of the proposed CLTA is performed via simulation and analysis.
Performance Comparisons of Cooperative Multi-relay System with/without Opportunistic Transmission in Rayleigh Fading Channel

The performance of power constrained cooperative multi-relay system with/without opportunistic transmission is considered in Rayleigh fading. The three power allocation methods are considered to maximize the system performance when the total network power is limited. It is analyzed that the opportunistic power allocation strategy has the best performance enhancement compared to the other power allocation strategies. The opportunistic relays increases with the total network power, which induce the higher diversity order of the opportunistic cooperative diversity, consequently improves the end-to-end outage probability.
Medium Access Control Protocol for Ad Hoc Networks Using Dynamic Contention Window

Since Bianchi's 2-D Markov Chain Model considers collision problem only in ideal channel condition, it does not reflect real channel impaired by fading, interference, and noise. Distributed Coordination Function(DCF) doubles its contention window(CW) when transmission fails regardless of collision or transmission error. Increase of CW caused by transmission error degrade throughput and increase the delay. ), on the system performance and provide a method how to decrease the initial CW to achieve equivalent performance.
A Method for Video Placement on a Cluster of Video Servers Using Server and Network Loads

The paper presents the problem definition of video placement and efficient methods for placing video data on a cluster of video servers. The video placement is to place each of video replicas on one of the servers where the number and location of the servers are already determined. The rejection ratio of user requests is one of most important user-perceive performance measures, so it has been used as a performance criteria in many researches on the VOD system. The objective of our video placement is to achieve the load balancing among servers and the minimization of total network loads. To our experiment, the presented methods show better performance in terms of the rejection ratio of user requests than the methods for video placements in which only either server load balancing or network load minimization is considered. Also, it is observed that considerations on server load balancing is especially important in video placement. To our survey, little research has been published on video placement in which server and network load are considered together in a video server cluster environment.
Implementation of 24bit Sigma-delta D/A Converter for an Audio

This paper designs sigma-delta D/A Converter with a high resolution and low power consumption. It reorganizes the input data along LJ, RJ, I2S mode and bit mode to the output data of A/D converter. The D/A converter decodes the original analog signal through HBF, Hold and 5th CIFB(Cascaded Integrators with distributed Feedback as well as distributed input coupling) sigma-delta modulation blocks. It uses repeatedly the addition operation in instead of the multiply operation for the chip area and the performance. Also, the half band filters of similar architecture composed the one block and it used the sample-hold block instead of the sinc filter. We supposed simple D/A Converter decreased in area. The filters of the block analyzed using the matlab tool. The top block designed using the top-down method by verilog language. The designed block is fabricated using Samsung 0.35um CMOS standard cell library. The chip area is 1500*1500um.
Design of H.264 deblocking filter for the Low-Power Portable Multimedia

This paper proposed a H.264 deblocking filter for the portable low-power multimedia. In H.264 deblocking filter, total 8 input pixels in filtering operations needs own filtering operation process respectively, and each filtering process has common structures for each filtering operation. By sharing common filter coefficients and registers, we have designed and implemented an smaller gated module, and moreover filtering operations are skipped on some or whole pixels what if we use some specific condition to operate filtering modules that need lots of operations. In the core of filtering modules, we achieve 33.31% and 10.85% gate count reduction compared with those of filtering modules of the conventional deblocking filter papers. The proposed low-power deblocking filter is implemented by using samsung 0.35um standard cell library technology, the maximum operationh frequency is 108MHz, and the maximum throughput is 33.03 frames/s with CCIR601 image format.
A Study on Fast Stereo Matching Algorithm using Belief Propagation in Multi-resolution Domain

In the Markov network which models disparity map with the Markov Random Field(MRF), the belief propagation algorithm is operated by message passing between nodes corresponding to each pixels. Belief propagation algorithm required much iteration for accurate result. In this paper, we propose the stereo matching algorithm using belief propagation in multi-resolution domain. Multi-resolution method based on wavelet or lifting can reduce the search area, therefore this algorithm can generate disparity map with fast speed.
Multi-focus Image Fusion Technique Based on Parzen-windows Estimates

This paper presents a spatial-level nonparametric multi-focus image fusion technique based on kernel estimates of input image blocks' underlying class-conditional probability density functions. Image fusion is approached as a classification task whose posterior class probabilities, P(
), are calculated with likelihood density functions that are estimated from the training patterns. For each of the C input images Ii, the proposed method defines i classes wi and forms the fused image Z(k,l) from a decision map represented by a set of P x Q blocks Bikl whose features maximize the discriminant function based on the Bayesian decision principle. Low Power Current mode Signal Processing for Maritime data Communication

In the maritime communication, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communication terminal should be operated with low power consumption, because the communication should be accomplished in the circumstance of disaster. Therefore, Low power FFT processor is required to be designed with current mode signal processing technique than digital signal processing. Current- to-Voltage Converter (IVC) is a device that converts the output current signal of FFT processor into the voltage signal. In order to lessen the power consumption of OFDM terminal, IVC should be designed with low power design technique and IVC should have wide linear region for avoiding distortion of signal voltage. To design of one-chip of the FFT LSI and IVC, IVC should have a small chip size. In this paper, we proposed the new IVC with wide linear region. We confirmed that the proposed IVC operates linearly within 0.85V to 1.4V as a function of current-mode FFT output range of -100~100[uA]. Designed IVC will contribute to realization of low-power maritime data communication using OFDM system.

RIA(Rich Internet Application) has the best User Interface and easy way to use. It is used in many Application System and Web Application. This Paper introduces a RIA technology for Implementation of u-Hospital Application. This System uses a history of customers in the hospital and question about diseases, so we can improve the satisfaction of service. This paper shows that the u-Hospital System using RIA is more fast and easy than HTML application. Because RIA has special features that data can be obtained from server without reloading entire page and every user interaction does not require web server response. The proposed technology can improve the efficient u-Hospital System because it can be extended to ubiquitous mobile application.
A Study on Modeling Tool for Convergence of Smart Appliances

The traditional way for convergence of smart appliances was software integrations on middleware. It is possible advantage to integrate easily and quickly with this way. But basically the middleware approach is slowly executed as it is huge the size of software. To solve this problem, we suggest a modeling tool for convergence. As we can execute and generate the automatic source code at the design phase with our modeling tool, it is possible to do software integration without the middleware. We use one example of U-Home environment to show the convergence for TV and the door lock system. With our approach, we will be able quickly to develop the convergent products what the customers desire with inexpensiveness, that is, the convergence of smart appliances without the middleware.
