A Study on Next Generation IPTV Multimedia Service Management Architecture

The multimedia streaming service in NGN architecture is not only to deliver video streaming (VoD, Broadcasting TV, etc.) but also to provide new services and service bundles, such as Triple Play (IPTV + VoIP + Internet). Among these services, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is becoming a convergence of communication, content, computing, as well as an integration of broadcasting and telecommunication services. In this paper, we addresses enhanced IPTV management scheme aspect of E2E from Home Network to Head End Center over NGN to support efficient service management with a full quality of service (QoS) guarantee.
Advanced On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol For Multimedia Contents

A mobile ad-hoc network routing protocols for transmission of multimedia contents need to have low delay time and to maintain the established route because it should secure quality of service(QoS) of the network. In this paper, the proposed protocol, termed HODMRP (History-based On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol), is enhanced On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP) by adding the criterion which is the session history for establishing route. The characteristic of this protocol is that data can be transmitted using the redundant route which is already selected by session history, if it occurs that the route is broken, HODMRP have better Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) value and lower delay time than ODMRP by the simulation results.

Ubiquitous environments make it possible to connect people and objects together seamlessly using networking technology. To realize ubiquitous environments many kinds of devices should follow the exact protocol. To observe protocol and prepare the increasing network traffic are very difficult in the aspects of maintenance, so the new efficient technology is required. Wimedia technology is a prominent ubiquitous technology which can make connection with many devices. This paper propose a energy efficient method for Wimedia bridge implementation which is a part of scale-free uPAN systems. The proposed method can reduce network expenses which is generated by protocol requirements by adding efficient packet encapsulation and bridging technology. It can be proved to be more time and energy efficient by simulations.
Channel Sounding-based Channel Capacity Measurement of MIMO-OFDM

In this paper, we propose the channel sounding scheme which improves the reliability and performance of communication link and mitigate the fading effect of channel in MTMO-OFDM system having correlation between Tx and Rx antennas. And we estimate the channel propagation characteristics of channels between the transmitter and receiver with CS scheme by measuring the channel propagation characteristics using sounding signal . Multi agent system models can be used to analyze the path of the system within any time frame. Further, using this proposed method, we can increase the channel capacity by simple calculation in receiver and transmitter and allocate the optimal power by channel information in transmitter. Also, the increment of channel capacity using the prorposed method is induced as the number of antenna is increased. So, we can anticipate the performance improvement with the presented scheme in more complicated Tx and Rx antenna system.
Performance Improvement of Current-mode Device for Digital Audio Processor

This paper presents the design method of current-mode signal processing for high speed and low power digital audio signal processing. The digital audio processor requires a digital signal processing such as fast Fourier transform (FFT), which has a problem of large power consumption according to the settled point number and high speed operation. Therefore, a current-mode signal processing with a switched Current (SI) circuit was employed to the digital audio signal processing because a limited battery life should be considered for a low power operation. However, current memory that construct a SI circuit has a problem called clock-feedthrough. In this paper, we examine the connection of dummy MOS that is the common solution of clock-feedthrough and are willing to calculate the relation of width between dummy MOS for a proposal of the design methodology for improvement of current memory. As a result of simulation, in case of that the width of memory MOS is 20um, ratio of input current and bias current is 0.3, the relation of width between switch MOS and dummy MOS is

Compact mobile antenna and near field characterization for Communication Broadcasting Convergence

Motivated by the Communication Broadcasting Convergence service, various technical approaches are being used to develop more efficient antenna models. This paper proposes a compact mobile antenna which is attachable to a cell phone and is applicable for Communication Broadcasting Convergence. In the design of the antennas for mobile handsets, size reduction is a crucial factor. In this paper, the compactness of a loop antenna is realized by bending a folded-dipole. A short planar dipole is transformed to a twice folded dipole and a loop antenna to produce a larger input resistance. The current distribution of the antenna is the same as a loop antenna, and its radiation patterns are omni-directional. We also analyze the performance of the RFID antenna by exploring the current-induced near field radiation patterns using a electro-optic field mapping system.
Design of Printed Planar Antenna Suitable for Mobile Wireless Communications

In this paper, we propose a printed planar antenna suitable for mobile wireless communications. Since the printed antenna is easy to fabricate due to simplicity, low cost, and light weight, it is widely used in communications systems. The conventional patch antenna takes too much surface area to be applied to a mobile receiver. Although the size is reduced using the printed antenna, still reasonably wide bandwidth should be considered. To overcome the disadvantage of narrow bandwidth, the substrate should be physically thick and the dielectric constant should be small. In this work, we suggest a simple form of printed planar antenna and show the optimal input impedance depending on the antenna size and operating frequency. The performance evaluation is achieved analytically for a prototype antenna model.
A Study of Visualization Scheme of Sensing Data Based Location on Maps

Recently, OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) take the lead in SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) research that collection various context information from sensor networks and show it on map by web. OGC SWE WG(Working Group) defines a standard encoding about realtime spatiotemporal appear geographical feature, sensing data and support web services. This paper proposes a visualization scheme of sensing data based location on 20 maps. We show realtime sensing data on moving node that mapping GPS data on map. First, we present an algorithm and procedure that location information change to position of maps for visualization sensing data based on 20 maps. For verifying that algorithm and scheme, we design and implement a program that collecting GPS data and sensing data, and displaying application on 20 maps. Therefore we confirm effective visualization on maps based on web which realtime image and sensing data collected from sensor network.
An Integrated Processing Method for Image and Sensing Data Based on Location in Mobile Sensor Networks

Recently, the research is progressing on the SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) platform of OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) to provide the sensing data and moving pictures collected in a sensor network through the Internet Web. However, existed research does not deal with moving objects like cars, trains, ships, and person. Therefore, we present a method to deal with integrated sensing data collected by GPS device, sensor network, and image devices. Also, this paper proposes an integrated processing method for image and sensing data based on location in mobile sensor networks. Additionally, according to proposed methods, we design and implement the combine adapter. This combine adapter receives a contexts data, and provides the common interface included parsing, queueing, creating unified message function. We verity the proposed method which deal with the integrated sensing data based on combine adapter efficiently. Therefore, the research is expected to help the development of a various context information service based on location in future.
Implementation of Home Monitoring System Using a Vacuum Robot with Wireless Router

The recent trend in home network system includes intelligent home environments that remote monitoring and control service is achieved without restrictions by device types, time, and place. Also the use of a vacuum robot in homes is gradually generalized on account of the convenience of the use. In this paper, we proposed and realized new home-monitoring system with the employment of an self-movement robot as one trial for realizing an intelligent home under home network environment. The proposed system can freely monitor every where in home, because the system effectively overcame the surveillance limitations of the existing monitoring system by attaching a Wireless Router and WebCam to a commercial vacuum robot. The outdoor users of this system can readily monitor any place which they want to supervise by controlling a vacuum robot with mobile telecommunication devices such as PDA. The wireless router installed with Linux operation system "OpenWrt" made it possible for the system users to transmit images and to control a vacuum robot with RS-232 communication.
A Study on the Interoperable Rights Control Information between Heterogeneous Broadcasting DRM Schemes in Digital Home Domain

Various types of protection technologies have been developed for protecting copyrights of digital content and such technologies for protecting the digital broadcasting content as CAS, DRM have been introduced to the broadcasting industry. However, current rapid development of digital home network systems lets customers share digital content among home appliances, leading to the increasing needs for achieving interoperability among content protection technologies. This paper investigates previous research on interoperability among heterogeneous rights control informations by using MPEG-21 REL and then introduces a new approach to guarantee interoperability of rights control information.
Route Optimization Scheme in Nested NEMO Environment based on Prefix Delegation

The Network Mobility (NEMO) basic support protocol extends the operation of Mobile IPv6 to provide uninterrupted Internet connectivity to the communicating nodes of mobile networks. The protocol is not efficient to offer delays in data delivery and higher overheads in the case of nested mobile networks because it uses fairly sub-optimal routing and multiple encapsulation of data packets. In this paper, our scheme combining Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6) functionality and Hierarchical Prefix Delegation (HPD) protocol for IPv6, which provide more effective route optimization and reduce packet header overhead and the burden of location registration for handoff. The scheme also uses hierarchical mobile network prefix (HMNP) assignment and tree-based routing mechanism to allocate the location address of mobile network nodes (MNNs) and support micro-mobility and intra-domain data communication. The performance is evaluated using NS-2.
LLHS: Low Latency Handoff Scheme based on Buffering for Mobile Networks

Mobility support for mobile networks will be important to minimize the packet overhead, to optimize routing, to reduce handoff latency, and to reduce the volume of handoff signals. Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) and Hierarchical MIPv6 (HMIPv6) are one of mobility management protocols (MMPs) that provides network layer mobility over all access technologies. However, the communication quality of these candidates is severely degraded during handoffs. As another way to improve the handoff performance of a mobile network by conventional MMPs such as MIPv6 and HMIPv6, we propose a Low Latency Handoff Scheme (LLHS) combining Fast MIPv6 (FMIPv6) with HMIPv6 extension with buffering function, in which Mobility Anchor Points (MAPs) buffer packets destined to the Mobile Routers (MRs) or MNs within a mobile network during handoffs. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme reduces transmission delay and packet loss in UDP communication.
Performance Analysis of 1-2-1 Cooperative Protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks

Conventional 1-1-1 cooperative protocol offers path-loss gain as advantage of multi-hop and spatial diversity which is equivalent to MIMO system. This protocol is enable to get higher reliability and reduction of power consumption than those of the single-hop or multi-hop. But the 1-1-1 cooperative protocol get only the diversity order 2 and limited path-loss reduction gain because this protocol has a single cooperative relay. We propose 1-2-1 cooperative protocol using two cooperative relays R1, R2. The 1-2-1 cooperative protocol can improve path-loss reduction and increase diversity order 3. Moreover, the cooperative relay R2 attains diversity order 2. The signaling method in transmission uses DF (Decode and Forward) or DR (Decode and Reencode) and 1-2-1 DF/DR cooperative protocol are applied to clustering based wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Simulations are performed to evaluate the performance of the protocols under Rayleigh fading channel plus AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise).
UBAF(User Behavior Analysis Framework) for u-Home Network

User needs in residential environment have very complicated and variety connection with others. u-home system for the near future is need to be combined acceptance of exist user needs as well as needs on new technology relating with u-Home. The study proposes a User Behavior Analysis Framework - UBAF for applying the user needs to the system more efficiently and developing the system by classifying patterns for the needs based on date of user behavior analysis. UBAF is a developing framework getting the basic idea of combining system modeling methods on SE and user modeling methods considering on HCI. It will be applicable to develop the system with core user behaviors by applying a standard way on u-Home. For example, the study transforms information into knowledge the system modeling and user modeling with analyzing a scenario for indoor temperature controlling on u-Home.
Implementation of Performance Measurement and Power Monitoring System for Mobile Processor on Windows CE Environment

Recently, Power and thermal management are becoming major concerns in computer system design. The energy efficiency is an important attribute of the mobile and embedded systems. Today's powerful mobile processors needs more energy and longer battery life. Many research has been focused to reduce energy consumption for the mobile processors.In this paper, performance monitoring system for the Power-management techniques is implemented for Intel's XScale microarchitecture-based Marvell PXA320 processor on Windows CE platform. It also provides software interface for changing DVFS configuration. Performance and power consumption are measured for benchmark programs through performance counter value and voltage/current measurements on LabVIEW platform. By using the developed monitoring system, it is possible for dynamic power management to track processor's workload and to determine the actual power consumption.
Design of Telematics POI Service Platform based on UPnP and GIS

In this paper, a POI(Point-of-Interest) telematics service platform, in which detailed POI telematics services are discovered automatically and provided, is developed. The platform discovers services with UPnP middleware and provides a location-based service using GIS information. It is implemented by a telematics server, terminals, and service gateways and tested by applying test scenario for validation. Also, the response time and throughput of UPnP messages in the platform is measured and analyzed. The result shows that it has little impact on the service network congestion.
Design and Implementation of the Spatio-Temporal DSMS for Moving Object Data Streams

Recently, according to the rapid development of location positioning technology and wireless communications technology and increasement of usage of moving object data, many researches and developments on the real-time locating systems which provides real time service of moving object data stream are under proceeding. However, MO (Moving Object) DBMS used based system in the in these systems is the inefficient management of moving object data streams, and the existing DSMS (Data Stream Management System) has problems that spatio-temporal data are not handled efficiently. Therefore, in this thesis, we designed and implemented spatio-temporal DSMS for efficient real-time management of moving object data stream. This thesis implemented spatio-temporal DSMS based STREAM (STanford stREam dAta Manager) of Stanford University is supporting real-time management of moving object data stream and spatio-temproal query processing and filtering for reduce the input loading. Specifically, spatio-temporal operators of the spatio-temporal DSMS support standard interface of SQL form which extended "Simple Feature Specification for SQL" standard specifications presented by OGC for compatibility. Finally, implemented spatio-temporal DSMS in this thesis, proved the effectiveness of the system that as applied real-time monitoring areas that require real-time locating of object data stream DSMS.
Implementation of a Real Time OS for the Education of PICmicro Controller

The purpose of the project was intended to show an application method of RTOS to PICmicro with limited resources with several tasks controlling the peripheral devices. The application runs on the designed PIC16F87x evaluation board with a bootloader burned so the application program can be easily downloaded using the serial communication without using the ROM writer. Thus, it would also be a good example to use for instructional or tutorial purposes for PICmicro education. The demo shows a useful examples who wish to use the real time operation system in their own projects.
Performance Comparison of Mobile Ad Hoc Multicast Routing Protocols

An ad hoc network is multi-hop wireledss formed by mobile node without infrastructure. Due to the mobility of nodes in mobile ad hoc networks, the topology of network changes frequently. In this environments, multicast protocols are faced with the challenge of producing multi-hop routes and limitation of bandwidth. We compare the performance of two multicast routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks - Serial Multiple Disjoint Tree Multicast Routing Protocol (Serial MDTMR) and Adaptive Core Multicast Routing Protocol (ACMRP). The simulator is implemented with GloMoSim.
Design of MCC Security System in Physical Layer

Wireless data transmission is vulnerable to attackers and hackers. Recently, the fast development of wireless communication systems seamlessly increase the demand for security in this area. Moreover, error correction is especially important because various kinds of interferences among wireless devices. In order to solve two above problems, we propose to apply MCC (M-sequence Convolutional Code) in the system which is able to protect information and correct errors. The proposed system can obtain higher secure property by randomly changing the output connections by the proposed M-sequence. Performance of the system is analyzed according to BER (Bit Error Rate) and secure levels. The simulation results revealed that we can get the coding gain of 0.1 dB over conventional convolution coding technique. The proposed algorithm is installed in physical layer and easily implemented. Another advantage of our proposed (M-sequence and convolutional code) is that it can be applied to CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) communication system.
Connection-Degree Based Search and Replication in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

In MANET, it is important to efficiently manage data objects and traffic to improve network throughput and response time. This paper proposes a connection-degree based data object search and replication scheme in mobile ad-hoc networks. In this method, information about the path data object providers is stored at the cache of a cluster header at which lots of queries arrive, so that, to reduce the load of the cluster header, replicas can be created at its neighboring nodes. The method proposes an algorithm that picks up a cluster header among mobile nodes and makes it possible to search for and utilize adaptive and up-to-date information in MANET. The method is expected to be effective since it enables access to data objects in spite of broken links among mobile nodes with an enhancement in network response time of searching and a decrease in communication costs. The efficiency of this system was verified via simulation.
Performance Enhancement of CDMA Cellular System Using Genetic Algorithm

In this work, we present a novel genetic approach to solve the problem of combining power control and data rate transmission adjustment for the performance enhancement of the next generation CDMA system. We obtained the optimal solution of multi rate and power control problem by compromising slightly on SIR limit values. The proposed algorithm was able to handle many more users with comparable or faster convergent service. While this paper considered two kinds of fitness function such as maximizing the total transmission data rate and maximizing the acceptable mobiles of CDMA cellular network, the evaluation function combining these two cases or others can be also easily implemented. The simulation results showed the effectiveness and validity of our approach.
The study of improving the accuracy in the 3D data acquisition

In previous paper, we introduced 3d acquisition system with CCD cameras, but it was not distinguished from other 3d acquisition system with PSD camera. In this paper, we introduce the 3d data acquisition system using by stereo method with two cameras, show the calibration method of two cameras, and present 3d acquisition methods. we tried to improve the accuracy of 3d data acquisition and implemented the proposed methods. According to the result, we found that the proposed algorithms can boost the accuracy highly against the previous works. The proposed methods are to remove distortion on input images and adjust z axis. We describes the performance in the result.
A Study on Security Model Design of Adaptive Access Control based Context-Aware

This paper is proposed context-aware based access control, model by extending original access control model. In this paper, we survey the recent researches about security model based context-aware such as xoRBAC and CAAC. For exactly policy evaluation, we make an addition Context Broker and Finder in existing CAAC security model. By this security model, Context information and context decision information is able to be collected easily for more correct policy decision. This paper controlled access of possible every resources that is able to access by user's event and constraint from primitive access resources. In this paper proposed security model can be offer dynamically various security level and access authority method alone with specified policy and constraint adjustment at user's role.
A Study for Designing of Intelligent Lighting Control LED Apparatus

This paper is to show the designing for LED lights driver unit. The main purpose of driver designing is high electrical efficient performance and intelligent control LED driver. Nowadays, a lightning system with some of charactestics such as an environmentally friendly purposes with a possible reduction of electric power consumptions. We constitute a intelligent contron LED control system that helps to save an electric energy, and a communication system to control the system. This LED driver can be used for intelligent light control. This product expects to improve the light control by dimming instead of interlace on/off light control that increases the social cost such as car accidents and etc.

Each enterprise selects its type of business and must check and choose the tag suitable to each enterprise. Since a complicated part such as expanding tag exists, there is a difficulty to prepare document through the step of tag expansion and data input. Although the expressive way of style provides the standards using the presentation structure and label structure provided fundamentally by XBRL, there is a complicated problem of using XBRL Processor. The electronic public disclosure system of the Financial Supervisory Service (DART) and Korea Exchange (KIND, KEDIS) use the Markup Language of SGML, XML and XBRL as format language. The procedure of defining document and process method vary in accordance with the characteristics of each language. This study analyzes the effect by step in accordance with format language of each electronic disclosure system and studies a direction of format language.

Please Interests in the medical service are increasing in internet environment as life quality of the people improves because of development in information and medical technology. The medical information in today's modern internet environment can violate privacy of the patients. Many medical institutions in Korea are very passive in the privacy protection of patients in the internet environment. The law, standard scheme and systematic guidance to prevent drain of medical information are not developed. This study examines cases of infringement pattern on information of each patient in the internet environment. This study will also try to find a solution to protect the personal information of patients in the internet environment in the measures of law system, technique and management.

The time of broadcasting-communication convergence is opened by advance of digital information processing technology and communication and broadcasting technologies and becomes the growing model of new industrial fields. In this paper, we analyze the element technology that is opening to the successful broadcasting-communication convergence period, and deal with the manpower incubation algorithm in the university that is aimed to the graduation of creative and ability professional engineer in that field by basis of this. The manpower incubation algorithm deal with the basic education curriculum which is support for the element technology and the educational direction and flowchart in the university for the next generation.
