Weighted Kernel and it's Learning Method for Cancer Diagnosis System

One of the most important problems in bioinformatics is how to extract the useful information from a huge amount of data, and make a decision in diagnosis, prognosis, and medical treatment applications. This paper proposes a weighted kernel function for support vector machine and its learning method with a fast convergence and a good classification performance. We defined the weighted kernel function as the weighted sum of a set of different types of basis kernel functions such as neural, radial, and polynomial kernels, which are trained by a learning method based on genetic algorithm. The weights of basis kernel functions in proposed kernel are determined in learning phase and used as the parameters in the decision model in classification phase. The experiments on several clinical datasets such as colon cancer indicate that our weighted kernel function results in higher and more stable classification performance than other kernel functions.
A Study on Feature Extraction of Morphological Shape Decomposition for Face Verification

The new approach was proposed which uses feature extraction based on fuzzy integral in the process of face verification using morphological shape decomposition. The centre of area was used with image pixels related with structure element and its weight in an attempt to consider neighborhood information. Therefore the morphological operators were defined for feature extraction. And then the number of decomposition images were more about 4 times than the conventional. Finally in the simulations with the extractions for face verification it was proved that the approach in this paper was even more good than the conventional in stability of feature extraction and threshold value.
An Efficient Spatial Index Structure for Main Memory

Recently there is growing interest in LBS requiring real-time services and the spatial main memory DBMS for efficient Telematics services. In order to optimize existing disk-based spatial indexes of the spatial main memory DBMS in the main memory, spatial index structures have been proposed, which minimize failures in cache access by reducing the entry size. However, because the reduction of entry size requires compression based on the MBR of the parent node or the removal of redundant MBR, the cost of MBR reconstruction increases in index update and the efficiency of search is lowered in index search. Thus, to reduce the cost of MBR reconstruction, this paper proposed the RSMB (relative-sized MBR)compression technique, which applies the base point of compression differently in case of broad distribution and narrow distribution. In case of broad distribution, compression is made based on the left-bottom point of the extended MBR of the parent node, and in case of narrow distribution, the whole MBR is divided into cells of the same size and compression is made based on the left-bottom point of each cell. In addition, MBR was compressed using a relative coordinate and size to reduce the cost of search in index search. Lastly, we evaluated the performance of the proposed RSMBR compression technique using real data, and proved its superiority.
A Study on Next-Generation IPTV Multimedia Transmission Scheme

To provide IPTV service successfully, we have to guarantee quality of service (QoS). However, in IPTV service, when we change channels, channel zapping delay will cause lower subscriber's satisfaction. Also, we can not provide IPTV service efficiently by limited bandwidth problem. In this paper, we propose a new enhanced IPTV transmission scheme to solve the two types problems using RACR (Robust Aggregation Control Router) which can control bandwidth and channel zapping time.
The Design and Implementation of RIA-Based DNA Sequence Analysis Tools

Due to the progress of Bioinformatics field, We are making use of analyzing tools for effective analyzing enormous data of DNA sequence. But there was inconvenience in existing tools when searching and applying data for analyzing. Our treatise proposes a tool developed by a form based on RIA(Rich Internet Application) that you can solve the problems came from weak points. The analyzing tool for RIA indexing data of DNA sequence shows the results by real time in basis of Web 2.0 which supplemented basis on a form of Web. The web application was developed in Flex2 on Windows workstation.
A link control method using self relay signal in wireless sensor networks

Reliability should be assured to support the stable ubiquitous sensor network services in wireless sensor networks. Data transmission reliability is the most important one in the reliability factors in USN. When we consider the wireless communication environment of sensor networks, data transmission reliability requires the performance improvement. For this, this paper introduces the method that can handle the reliability and the performance together. The proposed scheme uses the self relay signal between sensor nodes to deliver the ACK and the next data is scheduled to be sent on acceptance of this self relay signal. For the evaluation of the performance improvement, the analysis and the simulation have been done.
Implementation of an Indoor Mobile Robot and Environment Recognition using Line Histogram Method

The environment exploration is an essential process for indoor robots such as clean robot and security robot. Apartment house and office building has common frame structure, but internal arrangement of each room may be slightly different. So, it is more convenient to use a common frame map than to build a new map at every time the arrangement is changed. In this case, it is important to recognize invariant features such as wall, door and window. In this paper, an indoor mobile robot is implemented, and by using the laser scanner data and line segment histogram with respect to segment orientation and distance, an environment exploration method is presented and tested. This robot is fitted with a laser scanner, gyro sensor, ultra sonic sensor and IR sensor, and programed with C language.
Design of a Fault-Tolerant Routing Protocol for USN

Ubiquitous sensor network is the communication environment where sensor nodes move freely and construct network to get the services from the system. So, it does not need fixed infrastructure and can easily be placed in unaccessible regions like war or calamity area. Wireless sensor network protocol has self-organizing capability, need to adapt topology change flexibly and also has technique that sensor nodes work cooperatively, because network disconnection is frequently occurred due to the active mobility of sensor nodes. In this paper, we design a cluster based fault-tolerant routing protocol for the efficient topology construction and to guarantee stable data transmission in USN. The performance of the proposed protocol is evaluated by an analytic model.
Near-end Cross-talk Analysis of Unshielded Twisted Pair Cable using the Transmission Line Model

The UTP cable has been widely used, recently it is being developed for use in the UHF frequency band. One important characteristic of the UTP cable is NEXT. This research is to develop a pitch selection technique for an UTP cable which leads to a satisfactory NEXT. The transmission line model involving mutual inductances and capacitances between line pairs is used, and the simulation was carried out for frequencies from 1 MHz to 600 MHz. With respect to the worst margin of the NEXT for a Cat. 6 cable the simulation and measurement results show a good agreement.

The end of the 1990s due to the rapid development of Internet communications and two-way communication advertising, public relations, online music, video, movies, e-Book, and distribution of digital content is actively underway. The combination of Internet and TV, as well as born of IPTV and interactive digital content industry's future has become a key industry. However, these two-way communication that illegal adult sites, illegal Bulletin, illegal Ads, PR, shopping mall, illegal music copying, video replication, such as negative due to the emergence of IPTV and is always around us and should be recognized. For example, on the Internet, which has been operating in the ocean sounds from the music copyright issue, the prosecution decided to prosecute because of the digital cultural content, copyright issues has become an important issue. Status and issues of this paper to learn the digital content, using intelligence to solve these problems, two-way communication advertising, public relations and practice of digital content, practices and courses of students vulnerable to offers for the analysis simulation.
The Implementation of VoIP Terminal using PPTP for Voice Security

Although it is relatively difficult to eavesdrop the commonly used PSTN in that it is connected with direct circuit, it is difficult to ensure the secret of call on Internet because many users can connect to the Internet at the same time. However, it is needed to ensure secret of voice call in a special situation. Due to the fact that many users can connect to the internet at the same time, VoIP can always be in a defenseless state by hackers. Therefore, in this paper, we have developed the increased voice security internet telephone terminal and measured conversation quality by adopting VPN PPTP based on SIP and using tunnel method in transmitting voice data to prevent eavesdrop of internet telephone.
A Study on the Virtual University using Intelligence

In this thesis we have developed an algorithm to evaluate each student's level of understanding and find out which subjects they are not good at when they get on-line lectures at a cyber university. This algorithm is based on fuzzy logic using each student's scores adjusted according to the level of difficulty. In addition, we also introduced a "duplex intellectual lecturing system" and an "evaluation method based on the level of understanding." With the duplex intellectual lecturing system students can ask questions on line at a cyber university and under the new evaluation method, there is no need for students to move between classes. As a result of a computer simulation test, the duplex on-line lecturing system has proven to be more effective than the current one-way cyber lecturing system.
A Solution Method for DDoS Attack using CDN Technology

The attacks of DDoS use the weakness of Internetworks which can send unlimited great data packets without identification of IP address. In this paper, we propose a solution method for DDoS attacks using CDN technology. The performance evaluation of the proposed solution method is performed via simulation.
Hybrid Value Predictor in Wide-Issue Superscalar Processor

In this paper, the performance of a hybrid value predictor according to the instruction fetch rate on window size superscalar processors is evaluated. In general, the data dependency relations of instructions are increased with the number of the fetched instructions. Therefore, it is expected that the performance of a value predictor will be higher when the instruction fetch rate is increased. The performance is studied for the machine with collapsing buffer and he one with trace cache as an instruction fetch mechanism. As a result of experiment, it is showed that the performance effect of a value predictor is higher as the instruction fetch rate of instruction window size, IPC, predict rate on apply with non-tc and tc is increased.

The techniques of intelligent interference cancellation are used for achieving the improvement of deterioration, which is arisen to the interoperable terminal(GSM and DVB-H). In this paper, we propose a novel system that improve the DVB-H received performance by using the method of an adaptive interference canceller for GSM900 and DVB-H terminal. The interference for the collocated GSM900 and DVB-H receiver is cancelled by using the adaptive canceller with the low-noise ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) in the RF stage.
Phase Offset Estimation Based on Turbo Decoding in Digital Broadcasting System

In this paper, we propose a phase offset estimation algorithm which is based on turbo coded digital broadcasting system. The phase estimator is an estimator outside turbo code decoder using LMS (Least Mean Square) algorithm to estimate the phase of next state. While the conventional LMS algorithm with a fixed step size is easy implemented, it has weak points that are difficult the channel estimation and tracking in the multipath environment. To resolve this problem, we propose new phase offset estimation method with a variable step size LMS (VS-LMS). Additionally, we propose a scheme which consists of a conventional LMS. The performance is verified by computer simulation according to a fixed phase offset and a increased phase offset, the proposed algorithm improve the bit error rate performance than the conventional algorithm.
Performance of Double Binary Turbo Code for Ultra Wide-Band Systems with Multiple-Antenna Scheme

In this paper, the performance of double binary turbo code is analyzed and simulated in ultra wide-band (UWB) systems employing multiple-antenna scheme. We consider both pulse position modulation-time hopping (PPM-TH) and pulse amplitude modulation-direct sequence (PAM-DS) UWB systems. The space time block code (STBC) scheme is adopted as a transmit diversity method. Also, receive diversity scheme is applied. And double binary turbo code is applied to the UWB system.
Efficient Service Discovery Scheme based on Clustering for Ubiquitous Computing Environments

In ubiquitous computing environments, service discovery to search for an available service is an important issue. In this paper, we propose an efficient service discovery scheme that is combined a node id-based clustering service discovery scheme and a P2P caching-based information spreading scheme. To search quickly a service, proposed scheme store key information in neighbor's local cache and search services using it's information. We do not use a central look up server and do not rely on flooding. Through simulation, we show that the proposed scheme improves the performance of response time and network load compared to other methods.
A study on Web 2.0 Technology for Mobile Medical Online Appointment

Most Hospitals develop a Medical online appointment system for u-Hospital which system based on Web Application. Web 2.0 technology has good user interface and fast response time in a web service. This paper proposed a Mobile Medical Online Appointment System using Web 2.0 Technology. This system improve the page view, convenient UI and fast response time. We test this system with evermedi, other hospital system in iwebtools service and show that it can improve the efficiency and perfomance. The proposed technology can improve the efficient mobile service because it can be extended to ubiquitous mobile application.
BER performance analysis by angle spreading effect in the DoA estimation and beam-forming using 3D phase array antenna

This paper deals with the performance comparison of jammer signal's angle spreading in the beamforming after the estimation of direction of arrival using 3D array antenna basis of the GPS signal. After the estimation of direction of arrival using array antenna, the beamforming is need for the direction of arrival by spatial filtering and the other direction are nulling for reducing intererence signal, it is possible to improving the received signal strength and quality. But we obtains the degraded performance by the angle spreading due to the multi-jammer signal in this process. In this paper, the MUSIC and LCMV algorithms are applied for the estimating the direction of arrival and for beamforming using the 5 types of 3D array antenna. we performs the comparison of performance by calculating the bit error rate applying the BPSK modem and the varying the azimuth and elevation angle of incoming jammer signal. As a result of simulation, the Curved (B) type 3D array antenna has a more better performance compared to the other type antenna.
