A Study on Quality Verification Techniques of Bus Information System

The objective of Bus Information System developed as a part of the ITS, provides the operation information of buses to passengers and managers. The system uses roadside antennas (reading electronic tags on board buses) to enable wireless communication each other and radio data communication to deliver information about buses and their locations. This information is used to estimate the arrival time of the bus which will be shown on the bus stop message board or via internet. Bus Information System or Bus Management System (BMS) is going ahead and set up in many local governments, and recently quality improvement of the BIS is considered as a very important element in expanding of business or management. Therefore this research wished to contribute rationalization of the system by maintaining optimum quality. An gang was chosen to apply overall quality control process and will be evaluated in terns of its propriety and performance. This study has led the improvement of service and promote the use of public transits, which is the best way to solve the city traffic problem by effective management of public transits.
Analysis of the Research Trend and Developmental Direction against the VDS Data

A VDS data in the domestic has been used within limits to real time information such as congestion management, incident management, and route guidance service. On the other hand, a VDS data in the foreign countries had been used to various objectives such as transportation policy assessment, transportation construction evaluation, franc safety improvement, and etc. The scope and method of the study is the VDS data which was installed in the uninterrupted flow such as the freeway and the interrupted flow in a diversion route of the leeway. It has investigated and analyzed the VDS as our subject to study, study objective and study methodology for each study generally classified as 1) data collection 2) data processing 3) data store and 4) data quality section. This study has investigated and analyzed the various literatures in domestic and foreign countries regarding the VDS data. And It drew the development direction of the study which is about VDS data in domestic from now.
Effect Analysis on the Location of Automated Speed Enforcement System in Highway

The automatic speed enforcement system is expected to play an important role as intelligent transport system (ITS) or advanced franc management system (ATMS). It must be a reliable system checking the overspeedy vehicles automatically, while savine the police manpower and ensuring a safe traffic flow. In terms of traffic engineering, the automatic speed enforcement system may serve to improve driver's violent behaviors, facilitate the smooth and safe traffic flow and thereby, reduce the traffic accident. This study was aimed at analyzing the accident before and after installation of the automatic speed enforcement systems at the frequency, EPDO(equivalent property damage only) and accident cost, analyzing the effects of the automatic system on the traffic flow and accident. As a result, when we equip the automatic speed enforcement system on the downward slope section or after middle section comparing with whole section. We should consider the location of automatic speed enforcement system.
An X-band Low Phase Noise MMIC Oscillator Using a Planar-Type MMIC Resonator

In this paper an X-band low phase noise HBT oscillator using a planar type MMIC resonator is designed. The chip area of the proposed resonator shows a quarter of the conventional hair-pin resonator using distributed transmission lines. The measurement results show oscillation frequency of 8.295 GHz, the power output of 4.8 dBm, and phase noise characteristic of -106.8 dBc/Hz and -121.7 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz and 1 MHz offset frequencies respectively.
Analysis of Optimal Parameters for Hopping Pilot Beacon in a CDMA Mobile Cellular Network

In this paper, optimal parameters of a hopping pilot beacon are analyzed in a CDMA mobile cellular network. The hopping pilot beacon is used for inter-frequency handoff. It can reduce the number of pilot beacons needed for the inter-frequency handoff by transmitting neighbor frequency pilots periodically through a pilot beacon. The optimal parameters for transmission time and period of the hopping pilot bacon are derived by mathematical approach. It is highly recommended that the optimal values for the hopping pilot beacon under various operation environments.
System Requirements and UseCase for Mobility Impared People

The disabled and elderly people have a wide variety of functional impairments. By disability and elderly user group definition, identification of users needs and specification of content requirements were studied. Existing technologies including location, navigation and information exchange devise and communication systems were analyzed to design proper integrated system for indoor and outdoor uses. There are two types of services considered in the project: assisted living services(ALS) including health and emergency needs and assisted mobility services(AMS) with transportation needs. To develop each content, content identification and requirements was studied through interviews and expert consultations. System requirements and specification using usecase technique for disabled and elderly people are discussed.
