A Multi-Objective Shortest Paths Finding Considering Multi-Class in A Multi-Modal Transit Network for Providing User-Customized Route Information

Mass transit information should contribute many benefits to users. Especially transportation information technology is developing highly with information technology in Korea recently. Hereafter it is expected to provide customized transportation information to users individually with the advent of ubiquitous age in earnest. This public transportation information service can be realized by path finding algorithms in public transportation networks including travel and transfer attributes. In this research, multi objectives such as travel time, transfer time, and number of transfer and so on are constructed with the primary facts influencing users. Moreover, the method reducing user's path finding alternatives arbitrarily is proposed by selecting the best alternative which provides maximum utility to users among non dominated paths. Therefore, the ultimate goal of this study proposes a multi objective shortest paths finding algorithm which can take into account multiple user classes in a transit network with multiple travel modes. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated based on the two case studies - a small toy network and the large-scaled Seoul Metropolitan subway network.
Development of a Data-logger Classifying Dangerous Drive Behaviors

According to the accident statistics published by the National Police Agency in 2006, it can be recognized that drivers' characteristics and driving behaviors are the most causational factors on the traffic accidents. At present, although many recording tools such as digital speedometer or black box are distributed in the market to meet social requests of decreasing traffic accidents and increasing safe driving behaviors, it is also true that it still lacks in obvious categories for dangerous driving types and then, the efficiency of the categories to be studied has been low. In this study, dangerous driving types are redefined. They are grouped into 7 classifications in the first level, and the seven classifications are regrouped into 16 in more detail. To verify the redefined dangerous driving types, a Data-logger is developed to receive and analyze the data that occur from the driving behaviors of the test vehicle. The developed Data-logger can be used to construct a real time warning system and safe driving management system with dangerous driving patterns based on acceleration, deceleration, Yaw rate, image data, etc.
A Study on the Methodology for Expanding Collected Sampling Data with the RFID System and Applying in National Road Traffic Volume Survey

In this parer, we purpose for applying the RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) system in National Road Traffic Volume Survey. Because there is limitation for shipping RFID Tag on every car, we firstly defined Expansion (process of making the number of all cars which passed survey point from sampling data) and determined the best methodology among 3 methodologies (Time factor Model, Fuzzy Model, Artificial Neural Network). As a result of analysis, Time Factor Model was chosen as the best methodology for Expansion. Also, we analyzed to find an application of the RFID system in National Road Traffic Volume Survey and obtained a possibility applying it. It is expected that if the RFID system is used in Traffic Volume Survey, the survey cost is saved than before.
The Development of Vehicle Counting System at Intersection Using Mean Shift

A vehicle counting system at intersection is designed and implemented using analyzing a video stream from a camera. To separate foreground image from background, we compare three different methods, among which Li's method is chosen. Blobs are extracted from the foreground image using connected component analysis and the blobs are tracked by a blob tracker, frame by frame. The primary tracker use only the size and location of blob in foreground image. If there is a collision between blobs, the mean-shift tracking algorithm based on color distribution of blob is used. The proposed system is tested using real video data at intersection. If some huristics is applied, the system shows a good detection rate and a low error rate.
Design of Multi-Band Internal Antenna for Handset Applications Including Media-FLO Band

This paper presents a design of a multi-band infernal antenna for mobile handsets which can cover the major mobile services such as WiBro/WiMAX mobile internet services and Media-FLO/S-DMB services. Using wideband monopole antenna structure, the proposed antenna obtains the wide bandwidth characteristic at high Sequency band to be applicable for new mobile services. Stacking meandered radiator on the wideband monopole radiator and obtaining the different current path and lenga on these stacked radiators, overall antenna volume is effectively reduced. The measured bandwidths (VSWR<3) of the proposed antenna is 270 MHz and 2032 MHz at low and high band, respectively. This antenna can effectively covers major wireless communication bands including Media-FLO, CDMA, GSM, GPS, DCS, PCS, UMTS, WiBro, WiMAX, and S-DMB.

Since the proposed DVB-H band antenna can be analyzed as an SDA (Supported structure Defined Antenna), it is designed by combination of the folded monopole radiator which has a wideband characteristics and the wing-type element which can reduce the resonant frequency effectively. The DVB-H band antenna has VSWR of 4 and obtains a good gain from -5 to 2 dBi, when it is built-in the mobile handset.
A Study on the standardization of ETCS (Focused on RF)

In this paper, domestic standard revision plan of dynamic frequency method which is used both in unmanned automatic toll collection system and manned collection system of the express highway is presented. For such ETCS, the infrared rays (870 nm) of active frequency method and the frequency integrated method (5.8 GHz) are adopted and extended to be operated to the all around the Toll Gate. This standardization plan is based on inter connection reference model between OSI (Open System Interconnection) in process of ITS short range radio communication standardization of 5.8 GHz bandwidth to support traffic information and control system service, and the derived revision plan by starting from physical layer which support interoperability for multiple access between RSE (Road Side Equipment) and OBE (On Board Equipment), in which is categorized into physical layer, data link layer, and application layer. In case of radiation power, existing standard is divided by class1 (within 10 m) and Class2 (within 100 m) according to transmission lengthwhile it is operated with just single standard 'Class1' because of notification of Ministry of Information and Communication in 2004. In the case of the limitation value of incident power in communication area, considering operation plan of ETCS that is on actuality operation the measurements are reflected to the standard. In other wort this paper proposed the improvement standard of incident power, pseudo response in the communication area and radiated power in order to secure stability and compatibility among operator systems about the needed part on ETCS operation.
A High-precision AC Power Control System for Variable Loads Application

The control system of high-precision AC power is important in traffic management lighting and beaconing of aerodromes, etc. To control AC power supply in these load characteristics, inverter systems of AC/DC/AC conversion are widely used in high-precision current control. Therefore, in this paper, a inverter system of constant current regulation using improved measuring technique of feedback current is proposed. Proposed measuring techniques improve response and precision in that it use moving average method of instantaneous RMS for measuring current sensing. Results of the computer simulation and experiment prove the effects of proposed system.
Basic System Architecture Design for Airport GIS Service Models

Airport GIS is a comprehensive information system to improve security and efficiency of airport. At the initial stage to make it real, the current status of domestic and international regulations along with relevant standardization bas been reviewed. Gimpo Airport becomes a test-bed to get some ideas about how to bring the airport GIS into workflow by building service model and basic design based on current status and demand analysis of the airport. The 6 service models primarily brought into the project are as follows: (1) Local vehicles safety management in airside, (2) Intelligent traffic control between flights and vehicles at main cross points, (3) Dynamic safety management against FOD in airside and breakage on pavement, (4) Special support vehicle management such as deicing remotely controlled, (5) Response and support for fire vehicles and ambulances of signatory institutions in emergency. The upcoming research topic aims at drawing a specific design and building integrated system in the future.
A Minimal Resource High-Level Synthesis Algorithm for Low Power Design Automation

This paper proposes a new minimal resource high-level synthesis algorithm for low power design automation. The proposed algorithm executes an efficient approach to minimize the power consumption of the functional units in a circuit during the high level synthesis. In this paper, we visit all control steps one by one to reduce the switching activity in CDFG. The register sharing algorithm determines the minimum register after the life time analysis of all variable. According to property of input signal for functional unit, the proposed method visits all control step one by one and determines the resource allocation with minimal power consumption at each control step in a greedy fashion. The effect of the proposed algorithm has been proved through various filter benchmark to adopt a new scheduling and allocation algorithm considering the low rover.
